I could post, but it might be better to herd everyone back to one place.

As indicated, I'll start worrying about RP's on Friday evening/saturday. My work is a bit intense and my decompression will happen then. It's fun, it's really cool work, but it's also like a never-ending sort of thing.

I got a full time job. It can be rough starting until you get used to the schedule. Then it's just another day and not so taxing.

My job isn't actually like that. I'm a Senior Employment Consultant for the Workforce Development department of a major not for profit foundation in the City of Baltimore, I do a lot of business contacts and take point in networking for my organization at a variety of local political and business community events. I also have a strong hand in devising a strategy to get people employed through these networking operations.

On the other hand, I just recently left a job as a chef where I was on my feet all those hours. My practical advice is to go to a Dr. Scholl's stand, do the feet-scan thing and get the insoles for your shoes. In choosing shoes, go for something wide-footed and high-topped for a work shoe with non slips. Put the insoles in that. Insanely comfortable.

I actually like working the events with business cards and chit-chat, because that's when I really get shit done and get to move around. A lot of the work is then following up on those initial contacts.

Anyway, the post is up, and yes, the consequences of attacking the Steak Knife are now felt. We can discuss which characters know what about Major Gordon.

Just a heads up, Gordon wore Union Blue. He was in the Union army (1st Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry) for Sherman's march, and it was a lot of torching homes and looting Savannah and other pleasant episodes. Sherman believed in total war and stripped the South in the process of marching down to take pressure off Grant. He devastated the South in its ability to support the war materially and psychologically with scorched earth policies. Definitely an East Tennessee unionist.

After that, the Indian Wars. Where he employed methods he learned as a regimental officer and then staff aide to William Tecumseh Sherman.

Incidentally, yes, 7th cavalry, but he took a bullet wound and was recovering and so missed Little Bighorn. Just as well, but he still misses Custer.

Always down for Firefly references. As for Major Gordon, I'm pretty certain Beth would know very little. You want information about higher ups in the mortal realm? She's your guy.

Hah, no problem. On the other hand, there are possibly ghosts that have a relationship to Gordon, so she might have a rather dark word through the grapevine in that respect. I tend to think the ghosts know a lot.

Also, while she is clearly the least hip to Mortal stuff, Rivike for leader.

My reasoning is this -- she's likely to listen to people because she has to admit she doesn't know things. Also, I don't feel right running Gordon and Tony as a leader. Someone's going to have to match wits a bit against Gordon. Since he is a fleshed out character with preferences and lots of fuckin' damage upstairs I think flaws can be found and used against him. But you guys need to start thinking adaptably and about the enemy.

Also, several different characters no doubt have some interesting information on him, so it'd be the leader's job to put that together and work on a plan. But yes, let's hook that sort of role up.

Ah, if there are ghosts involved, then she's likely to know more than I expected. Probably something about his background, and now that I think about it, if he's in league with Nemsemet and a lot of the undead have gone over to the dread mummy, she might have heard a few bits and pieces when she was scouting for a way out of the city.

Rikive for leader would be great, and it wouldn't take much to convince Beth of that.

I feel like that a lot of ghosts communicate in memories, so perhaps she experienced another ghost's memories of the "Battle" (Massacre) of Washita River.

Gordon was there for that, under Custer's command.

Edit: Yes, for you non-Americans, I did link this character very heavily with some of the ugliest occurrences in American history. I felt like a Nazi would be way too cliche.

Sounds right to me. I suppose if she hears his name or sees his face, she recall experiencing the memory and have something to say about it.
