As the new day dawn, Phoebe was already up, and was just saying goodbye to her mother, and Daniel. She barely felt composed through it. She sighed softly, and gathering her strength, she went to prepare breakfast, losing herself in her process.
It still didn't seem real to her. The school gone. Her father...
She shook herself, placing toast on plates, and adding eggs, and putting grapes and berries in bowls, putting it all on the table. Breakfast was important, after all. She poured juice for the three of them, and then went to check on Makoto.
Makoto awoke to the smell of eggs and was sitting up among the blanket that Phoebe had provided for her when Phoebe entered the room.
"Good morning Phoebe." she greeted, feeling her body groan in protest to any movement. Despite the comfortable surface to sleep on Makoto's night was filled with tossing and nightmares. They spanned from her failing exams to simply being restrained and forced to watch the Academy fall. "How are you feeling today?" She asked, glad that they both opened up and discussed both of their whirlwinds of emotions from the day prior. It was surreal but Makoto was already beginning to adjust to the new reality, already onto the 'what next?'. She recalled that she hadn't seen Katherin but from Phoebe she had found out that the cold wielder was at the scene shortly after the collapse. Makoto resolved to calling her after breakfast. She also thought of Flood but figured he would be more than alright. Makoto decided to call him later in the day, if he decided to pick up. "How are the boys doing?"
