God Name: Dionysus
Human Name: Mark Julius Thant, Jules or Mark as his friends call him
Human's Age: 20
God's History: Dionysus! Dionysus is the son of Zeus and Persephone or Demeter, apparently it is unsure which one.
Human's Biography: Mark was born into poverty in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. His mother was a common hooker and his father, a worthless scum bag who payed extra to knock up a sixteen year old. Mark was a product of what is considered common place in a world where parties meant getting drunk and getting laid. His whole world was imperfect in his own eyes. He watched every day as his mother came home at night with maybe fifty bucks in hand, her makeup smeared, and obvious signs that work had 'gone well'.
All of this, in Mark's eyes, was the cause of many of his troubles. His mother would often date the wrong men and, when the relationship fell through, would turn to drinking heavily at parties where she sold herself out to any person willing. On those nights, Mark wouldn't even come home. He would spend his night with the only person he felt he could trust, Pastor Julian Oppeninger. The Pastor understood Mark's plight for he had grown up in a similar situation on the streets of Los Angeles. The Pastor would comfort Mark with his guitar as they sat together in the Church.
Mark never excelled in School and was often considered awkward by everybody else in the school. He would not leave his home and go party with them nor would he even consider touching a drop of alcohol when offered a flask. As such, Mark was often bullied by the other kids for being a square, nerd, queer, and basically every other word in a dictionary, though he often doubted that they would even know what that was. The only thing Mark was every good at doing was playing the guitar as he often learned from watching the Pastor play. At sixteen, Mark recived a guitar from Julian as a birthday present. That same day, his Mother disappeared form his life forever. Her pimp had been running low on cash to pay off his debts so he decided to sell off his 'weakest link' to whoever wanted her.
Mark never saw his Mother after that day but he never went to the cops. If he did, they would have just laughed him off like they do to basically everybody else who reports a missing person who lives a life like she did. Mark couldn't pay rent so he took to playing his guitar on the street. He would earn a few bucks a day if he was lucky and would often sleep at the Church. At eighteen, Mark met a band who was looking for a guitarist while he was playing on the street. That day, Mark signed on with the band called Knights of Destitution. They were a small band but he made a nice hundred bucks every couple of months as they played venues all through out Tennessee. The night before the Dark Day, the Knights had been signed to be an opener for a big country band. Mark hadn't even slept that night as he was so excited. He was sitting with his guitar in hand as he played a song of his own making when the lights went black.
The last thing he remembered was thinking of his Mother and how proud she must have been of him at that moment.
