Historically when the French Revolution happened and the monarchy abolished, nearby Kingdoms saw it as a huge deal. A constitutional monarchy with a puppet monarch might not care, but a monarch with any power would no doubt see Republics as a threat and not want that harmful ideology to spread to his nation and get him overthrown.

That might be true of the PRK (though its revolution is already twelve years old and has not spilled over into any other nation so far) but other republics, such as Avalia, Hambria, and Dong Wei have likely existed for a century or more and still many absolute monarchs are secure on their thrones. Not to argue they wouldn't be percieved as a threat, but likely less so since we have a different historical context. Communism/socialism would, however, be a huge negative modifier on most nations' lists.
Also, to clarify, the PRK is an athiest state but does not actively persecute believers of any religion.
My nation has been a Republic for a thousand years, at the least. I doubt any monarch would see my nation as a sign of change or even a threat, as we aren't actively trying to spread our system. In the mind of KalMea, our superior system only gives us an advantage over the primitive Monarchies. Why convert them and lose that?
Republic: ++ Theocracy: -- Laissez-faire: - Imperialist: - Close to Tin: --

Add mixed economy to my nation, too. Then again I think this kind of classification is too arbitrary to be relied on. I think surmizing relations in actual sentences is better.
Anyways, I'd rather discuss relations with other nations in OOC or PMs.
@Alfhedil Eisenkreis' fascist state which would discriminate against both elves and humans. Relations are bound to be poor. Albeit I suppose I could have a minor Lindai population within the empire and some of these could stay in Eisenkreis as ambassadors. Also it's possible that the elves of Yllendthyr fought Eisenkreis in the past and may have even taken some territories from them. This could be a source of grievance between the two races. Can also explain how I have some Lindai population in my empire.
@HaelKalMea is a nation which actively trades with others and may even supply Yllendthyr with important materials. Their free market style economy is also beneficial for positive relations. The current political tension between Tin and Yllendthyr may also mean that the Empire is subtly giving them various support just to weaken the opponent.
@ClocktowerEchos Yamatai and Yllendthyr have territorial disputes but given Clock's status in this RP I think we can agree on a ceasefire which is already lasting for decades and neither side feels uncomfortable with it.
@RaijinslayerUmbraisis has past feud with Yllendthyr along with territorial claims, both were already discussed in PMs. Our relation are akin to a cold war with neither side is willing to initiate another war on the other. I mentioned you for the sake of completion.
@hivekiller Unless something comes up the relation between Dong Wei and Yllendthyr seems to be neutral. I am open to suggestions, though.
@SkepicYllendthyr already agreed to trade strategic materials with Avalia and I'm rather willing to form an alliance with them. I have yet to get a response on that, though.
@MihndarPRK's ideology clashes with Yllendthyr and there are some tensions at the borders. On the other hand if I form an alliance with Avalia and so does PRK then our relation will be in a surprisingly positive note. You could say I am the UK to the USA (Avalia) and USSR (PRK) within the Allies.
@thegreenleafe Hambrian relations are currently ambivalent and depend on how they choose their politics in the future. We can establish some relation or past feud if you want, though.
@MurtoxTiqsimuyu has good relations with the Avalians which may translate to the relations with Yllendthyr. Of course we can discuss the details either here or in PMs.
@CycloneOur relation with Tin seems to be set in stone by the plot. Territory disputes, violation of embargo, being 2 inches taller at average, etc...
@Voltus_VentusSurprisingly enough we never talked about the relations between Ventium and Yllendthyr. So pretty much anything is possible.
Fair points, but in Tin's case I think the distaste to Republics still applies. If you recall, I think my sheet even mentions that Tinites see democracy as a whole to be strange (read: inferior) and incompatible with their tribal/cultural/religious systems. Just like how the United States looks down on Saudi Arabia for being a kingdom, Tin looks down on nations with democratically elected leaders. The idea of established nobility and bloodlines means that they find it strange both that leaders are elected and that leaders constantly change with new elections.

Lindai population within Kzechverin, their only adjoining neighbor, is minimal, and even still they are primarily merchants and scholars. What Lindai would travel to Yllendthyr would only be serving as ambassadors between the nations, and very likely number around a dozen or so. Beyond that, in terms of territory conflict, it simply wouldn't happen since the two don't have any kind of shared border. That, and even if such an event were to happen, Eisenkreis would wage a war of extinction against the elves of Yllendthyr to retake their lands. Such genocidal tendencies would remain to the present day, even if they were to reclaim their land.
As a reminder, the orange is Eisenkreis and the founding states, the purple is Kzechverin, a more recent acquisition.
Tiqsimuyu have a bad relation with any colonist nation , since they seen the Western as something that obliged them to modernize in order to survive the new century but this is only the nobility and some parts of the population , for example the nobility has lost every benefit from being a noble and the only right they preserve is to be called by their full name in formal ocassions .The king keeps strong but not strong as before . The people is benefits more of this reforms and they can access a better quality of life and more freedom.
So the Tiqsimuyu kingdom will try to promote the liberation of colonies in all the world .No to the colonialism
Ventium @Voltus_Ventus : The elective monarchy appeals to the democratic side of Hambria, as well as the production of Elektrum steel, which is key in some of the Armed Forces weaponry.
Tin @Cyclone : Being allies with Tin comes complete with enemies, their traditionalistic and religious views push Hambria and it citizens away. Currently there is no banned immigration of Tinnites.
Yllendthy @Willy Vereb : The elven lords to the north have always respected Hambria. While their racism towards humans is blantant and offensive the economic simularities and the voting rights have swayed them into favor.
Tiqsimuyu @Murtox : Hambria and Tiqsimuyu are neutral, their fuel reserves are intriguing.Their Armed forces are almost 4 times that of Hambria and while not traditionaly expansionist Southern Hambrians are still afraid of an invasion.
EISENKREIS @Alfhedil : The facist state and many of their views conflicts with Hambria and with their large army no future is seen together.
PRK @Mihndar: The PKR's communistic views are hopeful if they can battle corruption. Past colonialization of Hambria has made the two uneasy neighbors.
Avalia [@Skeptic] : The Greater Republic of Avalia's industrial revolution is of interest to the Hambria and could result in trade agreements.
KalMea @Hael: The closeness to Tin is an issue, however they seem to be peaceful and a good nation for trade.
P.R.K: Socialist Republic: -- Lack of Free Trade:----- Poor Mechanical/Industrial advancements: - Possible Trade Opportunities: +++ Anti-Colonialism: -- Overall Rating: Lost People (-7) What this means: Basically, KalMea is in no way fond of Kataylabinsk. The lack of free market disgusts the fiercely Capitalist populace of KalMea, and we would be willing go to war with them should we be given a proper incentive. Trade with the P.R.K. with be difficult and not particularly cheap.
Tin: Monarchy: - Somewhat Different Beliefs: -- Not Wholly Free Market: -- Military Allies: +++ Many Ajdar in KalMea: ++++++ Close trading partners: ++++++++ Kal Extremists Greatly Oppose: - Tinites in KalMea: + Overall Rating: People of Kal (12) What this means: KalMea is very close to Tin compared to other nations. We would be willing to go to war with them fairly easily, if given decent reason, and we will continue to offer fair and lucrative trade deals to our northern allies.
Ventium: Elective Monarchy: + Behind in Tech: -- Not Entirely Open to Trade: - Attempting to Improve Their Lack of Tech: +++ Overall Rating: Undecided (1) What this means: KalMea would be absolutly willing to open ports in trade with Ventium, but we never treat them with the same degree of trust as we would a People of Kal. They are, however, attempting to catch up technologically: a sure sign of ambition, one of Kal's favoured traits. With some more time and communication, KalMea would potentially be open to an alliance or other mutually beneficial relationship with Ventium.
Yllendthyr: Monarchy: - Opportunities for Trade: +++ Talented Engineers: ++++ Oppression of Humans: -- Attempting to Lay Claim on the Zanjir Islands: -- Elven Mercenaries: - Overall Rating: Undecided (1) What this means: Like with Ventium, KalMea is absolutely willing to open trade with Yllendthyr, but not to the same degree as with a more trusted nation. Their talent as engineers, however, earns them a great deal of respect in the eyes of the industry-minded KalIabs...but they could never be allies, at least not as things are now.
Yamatai: Claim on Zanjir: --- Monarchy: - Close by: + Overall: Lost People (-3) What this means: KalMea does not trust Yamatai, nor do we expect trust in return. As always, there is still some opportunity for mild trade; but never any truly positive relations.
Tiqsimuyu: Industrial: +++ Low Tech: -- Monarchy: - Overall rating: Undecided (0) What this means: KalMea doesn't know what to think of Tiqsimuyu, but we see very little opportunity for trade or beneficial relations.
Hambrian Republic: Republic: +++ Trade Opportunities: ++ Not Enough Contact: -- Overall Rating: Trusted (3) What this means: We can, perhaps, trust the Hambrians. KalMea desires a trade relationship with the Republic.
Eisenkries: Fascist Monarchy: --- No Free Market: --- No Visible Trade Opportunities: --- Good Technology: + Aggressive to Outsiders: -- Overall Rating: Lost People (-10) What this means: KalMea wants nothing to do with Eisenkries. They seem too dangerous to attack, too poorly governed to warrant diplomacy, and too closed-off for trade. They are the only nation that KalMea may truly hate.
Avalia: Democracy: + Free Market: +++ We Need Airships: ++ Overall Rating: Trusted (6) What this means: KalMea is actively seeking trade and positive relations with Avalia, and is willing to donate some of it's wealth of money to purchasing many airships.
Dong Wei: Republic: + Overall: Undecided (1) What this means: Open to trade, but nothing else. KalMea is unsure about how to feel towards Dong Wei for the time being.
Umbrasis: Trade Opportunities: + Decent Tech: + Form of Government: + Overall: Undecided (3) What this means: KalMea would be up to some light trading and diplomacy, but we do not know them well enough for real relations
All in all, I am perfectly willing to holding positive relations with most nations.
I'm adding small explanations to my ratings like Hael did and sticking all of that in my character sheet for future reference, which I recommend to others.
I can already hear the first domino fall in our coming World War I scenario.....
(if it even comes ;) I jest I jest)
I'm just glad I'm on the side of the guy with the air force to obliterate half of Tin.
i am lucky i am neutral for almost everyone .So i have a little advantage in diplomacy
That's fair, but it also means few allies. For example: if someone attacks you there aren't many friends you can count on. Never underestimate the power in numbers.

Fortunately it'd be hard to obliterate half of Tin. :P
The nice thing about being rural, having tons of land, and poor industrialization is that it puts a nation in a really good position to fight a defensive war. Tin's enemies would be bombing farmland, herds of cattle, and maybe mud brick houses. Defenders can just retreat endlessly and fight from the hills or ambush enemy armies from the desert. The country only has a few big cities so it's easy to concentrate all their defenses there and protect them from attack.
All of this is fortunate because it's looking like it's going to be Tin, KalMea and (maybe) Ventium against 5 or 6 nations if a war breaks out. That's great odds!
Well let us remember. We're all here to have a good time! Developing characters and adding a very human(ya know what I mean), heroic or tragic view to the NRP scene. Sort of like an other NRP I've been participating in, "The Fires of Anuria", where the NS serve more as a background, a piece of the setting rather than the main perspective of the goings on in the world.
Looking forward to something along those lines, only in my dream world of airships, crazy contraptions, and fantasy world to explore!
I desperately hope for an I.C. post soon, as well.
In other news, the first chapter of my glorious three-part history is up. I was afraid it would be dull, so I put it in story format to make it (hopefully) more pleasurable to read.
Rather than finish my important people section and write about Babur and Tolon Bey, I chose to began the military section since I figured it's just a wee bit, y'know, important.
I wrote about the Temple Guard, which are Tin's holy warriors and elite soldiers.

YOU WOULD DARE TRANSFORM POOR ORPHANS INTO SOLDIERS!
I think you may have just given KalMea a novel idea...
