That is an incredible history. I could almost visualize the events happening as I read it.
@Hael
Your history is great, but unfortunately Tin has a copyright on burning people. Expect a lawsuit. :P
What's your idea that the Temple Guard gave you?
On a different note, what kind of wars took place around this century.
I suppose Eisenkreis (@Alfhedil) fought one just a few dozen years ago at worst. His new borders are recent conquest.
Most likely they used tanks in that.
Thanks to Yllendthyr and Avalia (@Skepic) aircrafts were also probably used in some local wars.
But otherwise I'm at loss.
So what kind of important wars occoured which may have involved some modern weaponry?
I just wish to give a nice background for my weapon developments.
For example tanks would be inspired mostly by Eisenkreis, although with the taste of elven engineering.

<Snipped quote by Willy Vereb>I don't think Yllenthyr would've risked war with a nation of near or comparable power so it's more likely the penisula is an earlier acquisition before the borders of Kataylabinsk expanded this far.
Our last war was 250 years ago with Hambria, so I'm afraid I can't help you there. Unless you want to have had a war since then, which would be perfectly logical given the border tension (and explain that peninsula you own)
<Snipped quote by Willy Vereb>I see. Well, that can work, too. The main point is that Yllendthyr starts working on their tanks after they see them in combat. Also when they realize practically everyone has them.
Eisenkreis has fought with Kzechverin for centuries, and it's highly likely the original cause for their Unification War was Kzechverin adventurers. The recent joining of Kzechverin and Eisenkreis is actually not related to the wars, but actually the union of house Desrosier and Kzechverin between Marianna Desrosier and Csilla Kzechverin. There have been tanks used in outside conflicts, however, namely skirmishes with royal houses in the Kzechverin territories, so it would definitely be a visible thing to the world of Eisenkreis' technological standing.

Alternatively the elves could've taken the peninsula during the chaos with the empire's fall and the formation of PRK.
Maybe Yllendthyr got those lands in return for helping your regime triumph over the empire.
I mean there could've been some obvious rivalry between the two empires.

On the other hand, union between Marianna and Csilla, huh?
Both names are denoting female gender so...I didn't expect that to happen.
The I.C. will be here soon, I hope?
<Snipped quote by Willy Vereb>Nah, I got the part with tanks sorts of covered.
The former probably makes the most sense, which would mean that in the last hundred or so years we probably fought some minor wars with small nations in the region, but that's probably not quite what you're looking for.
<Snipped quote by Willy Vereb>I see.
I do not have tanks...
The PRK primarily relies on their naval power (since they have very few land borders, and those are the nations they are friendliest with). We have one of the most powerful navies in the world with radar and sonar systems installed on every ship and amphibious landing craft akin to Higgins boats, but our propulsion systems are all still coal-based. Our air force and land military are mediocre at best. The fastest jet fighter in the entire WW2 was powered by burning coal.
Well, as you can see with the various colonies the elven navy is also considerable.
Albeit my ships are neglected in comparison to my air force and their primary duty is to escort transports.
They tend to be rather light in comparison to ironclads or other classic ships of the line.
All my ships have runaway pads to allow some types of aircraft to take off from them, though.
And there are motherships with their entire deck designed to launch aircraft.
