Sen, you are extremely problematic.

I know, it's my character archetype.

That is my response, Sen.

I don't even know why.

I think we both know why. ;)

We're not quite there yet. We'd have to be yelling oppression and patriarchy every 3rd word we type here and talking about gender identity going into inanimate objects and animals.

But we're talking about normal sexuality. I'd rather try and keep everyone to just hetero, bi, or homosexual for their orientations thank you. Pan and asexual just get really weird and is only step away from actually being weird.

Oh and, while we're on the topic...

Japan frowns greatly upon homosexuals. From a traditional perspective it's essentially the parents being denied grandchildren to them. From a societal perspective, Japan is incredibly conformist and uniform, that anyone who stands out will be struck down, and generally homosexuals are made out into sexual predators doing overtly sexual things, and are a source of comedy as a result (makes it hard to come out about it and all). So having a different orientation than normal is a sure way to get rekt, so think about the cultural context when deciding if you really want to make a homosexual character, and the things they may have experienced.

All the same this cultural context will help you write your character if you are playing a homosexual character.

Pretty much how Jun's dad is reacting, then. Plus she doesn't give a shit about what others think.

Okay. First of all, trigger warning, tag that shit, okay?
As a genderfluid, pansexual woman, I take offense to that and you need to stop talking shit about your white male dominance and go die in a hole!

I never really understood all that SJW nonsense, they take things way too seriously.
The fact they attack men and think their making such a huge difference to the world by being outright misandrist's is just cringeworthy.
Wait, I think those are tumblr feminists, not SJW's but same thing really.

Ah, so this explains nearly half of the doujin I've read. Man, when I read all this, reminds me that here, homosexuals aren't exactly treated nicely as well.

Well, I guess Akane's official sexuality can be Bi then if you wont to accept Asexual. Still don't plan on her romancing with others or doing any romancing, though. I don't see how Asexual is really weird. It's just having no sexual attraction whatsoever. What's wrong with that?

And Page 69 and talking about sexuality; YOLO

The older SJWs are pretty rational and well thought out in their arguments and they do raise very good points.

The problem is that a lot of the younger ones are angsty teenagers and they overcompensate for their energy by lashing out.

But isn't it simple, though?

Asexual is simply having no sexual attraction whatsoever.
It's as simple as it gets lol.

Or what, do the characters have to have a sexual attraction to someone?

Or do you mean keep it pg since little kids wont know what Asexual means?

Because asexuality is the enduring trait of low sexual interest. You can still within that, have interest in a romantic partner, or romantic interest in a particular gender. Asexuality is more on sexual activity than romantic preference.

Next, pansexuality is the polar opposite in terms of activity, where it's 'gender-blind' or so they say. 'Omnisexual', so to speak, they have no preference, and love all basically.

I'd rather just keep it to the already well-defined hetero, homo and bi, as pan and asexual are still debated greatly.

Not to mention both are technically bisexual, and are considered subcategories at the moment.

Gotcha

I have no problem with her being labeled Bi, just wanted to know why exactly.

Uhh I was an idiot and did not realise that there was another page of unread posts. The one before this was people doing mock Tumblr posts and I added on with realising I missed out on posts.

But yes, ignore troll comment.
