The beginning of the school term was nearing, and Rui had recently moved into Warakuma and was going to be attending soon. He met Noboru, who was a childhood friend of his shortly after arriving, and soon after he met Kami. Eventually the three went to the Warakuma Amusement Park, and after Noboru separated, Kami and Rui were drawn into the House of Mirrors.

After a series of strange events, they enter the Mirror World for the first time, and summon their Personas with the help of Kazuki, who happened to be there at the time. They were led out and informed of the Mirror World and the events that have taken place around it.

Shortly after discovering this, Noboru was taken into the Mirror World involuntarily. With the help of Kazuki and Megumi, Kami and Rui find the dungeon Noboru was in, and rescue him. Shortly after these events, Noboru was now part of the party.

In the following week, Matthew Harvester was taken, and police involvement resumed on the mass abductions originating from a year ago. Noboru, Rui and Kami responded quickly and went into the Mirror World to rescue him, also adding him to the party at the end of it.

With Golden Week near way Leiko Hamada was next, and just as quickly the party of four rescued her with the assistance of Riku. From then on, Kami formed the Investigation side, while Rui took care of the Dungeon side.

Shortly afterward, Chiaki Nettu was taken, and the team put together a rescue effort that resulted in a success. Meanwhile, Kami's investigation was showing up little results, as kidnappings so far seemed to be random, so no pattern was discernible.

Not long before midterms, Akane Hanazawa was taken, and the party put together a team to rescue her. The rescue was a success, leading to Akane joining the party. What followed after was a double kidnapping however, where Sato and Kotori were captured.

In the following week the team went to both dungeons and rescued both Sato and Kotori, subsequently the two joined the party as well.

The next week, Ayano and Kami had met up at the shopping center, and after a few events that had transpired, Ayano was captured, and immediately the next day Kami brought everyone together to rescue Ayano. After a difficult dungeon, it was found that Ayano had a more unique power as a Persona user, after she had been rescued.

Ayano's powers were put to the test during an emergency roughly a week later, when Alexei pursued cultist members as they kidnapped his sister, forcing his way into the mirror world. With Ayano's powers the party pinpointed their position and started a rescue mission for both Alexei and his sister Elena.

It was a success, with Alexei joining the team shortly afterwards, although with little time for rest, two more were taken the next week. Those two were Sieghardt, a member of the Drama club, and Ryan, a timid member of the Manga club.

Rui and Kazuki led two separate parties to rescue them in the coming weekend, though Rui's party run was smooth and Ryan was rescued without much incident, Kazuki did not have a much better time, and ended up requiring assistance, to which Rui and his party after rescuing Ryan, reinforced in the effort to rescue Seighardt. It was a resounding success, and the two were rescued safely.

After some investigation by Kami, he managed to find an unsettling truth after pinpointing the cult behind the attacks. The Junsei Sekai Tensei, or Perfect World Resurrection, was an old cult that has been around for awhile. There was one problem though, and that it's leader has gone completely MIA, and his wife died one year ago, despite the cult members passing mentions in a police interrogation.

Fast forward a week later, the Star Drop Café was attacked, and Mako, Shizuka, and Masahide were abducted by members the cult the party was pursuing. Aiko was injured, and Noboru sat this out to watch over him while everyone else successfully rescued the abductees.

Following this event, Jun Himura was abducted by the cult, and a Katsuro Takuma was caught in the crossfire, as well as many others. After a struggle from Jun Himura, it resulted in multiple of the abductors to be thrown into the mirror world as well. This resulted in strange knight enemies found within the dungeons, which were actually the people who were accidentally thrown into the mirror world.

After a rescue requiring two parties to go through different routes in the dungeon, everyone was rescued successfully. Though that has been resolved, tensions among Yakuza, authorities, combined with the presence of the Junsei Sekai Tensei cult, has made things uncomfortable for a few people.

That aside, summer break has begun but not two days into it, an incident has occurred in the Mirror World. Before they could investigate, Zeke, the hawk, guides everyone through to a new area called Seto, a giant lake and sea. Immediately they detect someone inside of it, much like the dungeons before, however upon reaching it, it's much smaller, but the threat to the person trapped here is all the same.

Rui takes a party in to rescue Samuru, while Kami takes another party to investigate Seto's immediate area. After a battle against Samuru's shadow, he awakens to his Persona and joins the team shortly after, while Kami's group sets their first foot into Seto's open areas, which starts as Japanese village and goes on into the fields.

Throughout the week everyone in varying parties explores this new area and progresses through it. Though considering this is Summer Break, Tadao offered everyone to take a trip to the beach for the weekend, which everyone accepted.

Personality: Rui is a generally reserved individual who often prefers some time alone, but that is not to be mistaken for disliking company. He is a tolerating person, and very rarely angers, surprisingly able to hold conversations but is generally of very few words. He chooses to stay positive in almost every circumstance but will default to being a realist if the time calls for it. He has a good sense of consequences that result from actions, but while good, his judgement is still far from perfect.

He's basically a fairly nice and quiet guy.

Background:

Rui was born in Warakuma Town, though moved out to Tokyo due to parents and work early in his childhood. His school life has been rather standard, parents praise him when he does well and he suffers otherwise. The other kids don't bother him too much and he even hangs out with some of them from time to time, but despite blending with many crowds, and learning different things as well as doing a variety of activities, he's never quite stood out. He's okay with that though, because he finds self validation in the little things he enjoys, whether it be his hobbies drawing, or his favourite shows and appreciation of swords.

He will be moving back to his home town Warakuma for High School, while his parents have also moved for work related matters. The timing was perfect for the beginning of a new school term, so they figured why not enroll him there. So here he is.

Personality: Kotori is, by any standard, a quiet girl. She rarely speaks if not spoken to directly - and even when she does, she only does so in a soft voice. She isn't one to put herself forward and, in fact, actually prefers to keep her distance from others, making her a rather timid person. She is, however, rather diligent; always doing her utmost at any given task. Given her weak constitution, she dislikes most physical activities and, in fact, often sits out during P.E. She also seems quite conscious of people's eyes on her and quickly feels uncomfortable when that is the case.

Given these traits, Kotori is not exactly the most sociable person - though that doesn't really seem to bother her. Most of her free time she spends studying or helping her mother around the family flowerstore in the Warakuma Shopping District.

Background: Kotori is the only child of the Shirohane familiy, who have lived in Warakuma for generations and are known for their flower shop in the Warakuma Shopping District - the shop is on the ground floor while the family home is on the floor above. Unfortunately, Kotori's father - a kind man who was never seen without a smile on his face - passed away in a car accident three years ago, leaving her mother to look after both the store and the child. Fortunately, Kotori was by no means a troublemaker - though after her father's death, she did become a lot more quiet and reserved. Though saddened by her husband's passing, Kotori's mother remains a cheerful person at heart and does her best to keep both the store going and watch over her daughter.

Apart from these things, Kotori's childhood had few other noteable events. She hasn't joined any clubs at Warakuma Highschool or actually made any real friends due to her nature, never being one to draw much attention. Furthermore, she isn't much of an athlete; quickly getting out of breath and has sat out during P.E. a number of times due to this already - though she doesn't feel all too bothered by this.

Toma Tanaka

Name: Tanaka Toma

Appearance Description:
His most prominent feature is his height, as he stands at 185 cm, just a touch under 6'1. His overall appearance tends to be disheveled, as he finds himself with little time to put much effort into looking tidy. His rusty-red hair is always a scraggly mess, and he prefers wearing an unzipped track jacket over a plain t-shirt with matching track pants.
Even when he has to dress up more formally, such as wearing his uniform to school, he keeps it as loose and casual as possible, unbuttoning and unzipping everything he can. Despite his aversion to professionalism and general stuffy-ness in his clothing, he has a fondness for plain, dark-colored ties, and always wears one to school. Loosely, of course.

Arcana: Justice

Personality:
Toma is a stoic young man, who tends to gives off a 'cool older brother' kind of vibe - he strives to be approachable, reliable, and someone who others look up to. He's fairly social and is often willing to help out any who ask, even at his own expense.

Though he is hyper-competitive, he's never a sore-loser unless he believes cheating or dishonesty was involved in the event. He does his absolute best to get the highest marks possible, and he loves playing any sport, with soccer being the one he's played most. When he isn't studying or playing around with balls, he spends his time playing competitive multi-player games.

Seeing as he has very little free time, his gaming cuts into his sleep every night. It is very rare that he gets more than three hours of shut-eye a day, and his face shows his lack of sleep. Despite this, he somehow finds enough energy everyday to function properly. Usually.

When he sees others upset or caught in a bad situation, he often takes action to try to fix the problem without knowing all the facts and details. This sometimes causes him to come off as condescending and presumptuous, and at worst as a downright insensitive jerk.

He takes extreme issue with bullying and those who just generally try to make life harder for others. These instances are the only time he shows much emotion, and more often than not, it's anger. He feels compelled to protect those who can't protect themselves, but his rage can cause him to take it too far - there have been a few times in his past where he has gotten violent.

Equipment/Skills:
His stamina and overall strength is very good, letting him be physically active for hours on end. He's tried various martial arts during his life, and still tries to find some time for Judo. Fights with grapples, kicks, punches, knees, and elbows. His equipment consists of elbow-length gauntlets that double as knuckle dusters and a pair of combat knives.

Background:
Toma's history revolves almost exclusively around his younger brother, Taiki. Their ages were barely a year apart, meaning they were very close growing up. Toma was the more outgoing and independent one of the two, while his brother was far quieter and reclusive.

It seemed as though, from the moment Taiki entered school, he was a target for bullying. Taiki would tell Toma about it, and, more than once, Toma punched one of the kids Taiki had told him about. Eventually, kids in the school were afraid enough of Toma that they stopped picking on Taiki. But they also stopped interacting with Taiki at all, making it impossible for the shy boy to make any friends.

When Toma left the school for Middle school, the bullying against Taiki came back with a vengeance. Knowing it was his fault for having dealt with it so terribly, Toma tried his best to comfort his brother, telling him it would get better next year, when the boy would start Middle School.

Taiki's lackluster marks meant he wasn't able to attend the same school as Toma. At first, Toma wasn't too worried about not being able to protect his brother, as he had seen that his 'methods' hadn't really worked anyways. On top of that, Taiki would be surrounded by completely new kids, who would be able to see him for the nice guy that he was.

Those thoughts proved to be too optimistic, as more stories about Taiki being bullied came up. Toma couldn't understand why. Why was Taiki always the one targeted? Why did others seem to only want to make his life miserable? The more he thought about the unfairness of it all, the angrier he got. He became a bitter person, who only showed kindness to his brother. Toma had few friends because of his attitude, but that fact was something he didn't often thought about, as he was too focused on Taiki.

But then Toma started high school, his life got much busier, and his brother's situation started to seem normal. Mundane. After having spent so much time and energy reassuring and trying to help his brother to no avail, he began to care less, telling himself that the problem would solve itself eventually. He still spent time talking with Taiki, but the talks became fewer and fewer.

The two drifted apart over the next three years, and Taiki spiraled further into depression, eventually committing suicide at the age of 16.

Toma was devastated, and he receded from the world. A few months passed, and during this time Toma became the person he is now. After getting over the shock and numbness he felt from losing his best friend, he decided he would do everything in his power to help and protect those that needed it.

Eventually, he and his parents moved to Warakuma, to leave behind the bad memories.

Arata Kimura

Name: Kimura Arata

Personality:
Arata is a pretty happy-go-lucky guy overall. He loves meeting new people and has absolutely no issues making conversation, even with complete strangers. Once he learns a name, he never forgets it or the face it goes with. Despite essentially living and breathing track-and-field, he isn't all too competitive, and would rather make sure that everyone has fun.
When it comes to confrontations, however, he seems to lack a backbone. He's a complete push-over, and will always back down when someone tells him off or calls him out. His likable attitude keeps these sort of situations to a minimum, but when they do happen, Arata gets flustered and overwhelmed quickly.

Equipment/Skills:
He's a solid all-around athlete, and is extremely approachable and sociable.

Tsuruko Yamada

Name: Yamada Tsuruko

Age: 16 (first year)

Appearance:

Personality:
Tsuruko is a fairly popular person in her class. Her strange mix of airy politeness, disheveled-yet-attractive appearance, and book smarts draws people to her. Despite her large amount of friends, she has a tendency to stay quiet, being content with simply listening to her friends conversing. When she does speak, however, they always give her their full attention.
From the outside, she looks like someone who's completely put-together and has a bright future. She's surrounded by friends, she does well in school and sports, and the only flaw she seems to have -- exceptional clumsiness -- tends to be viewed as endearing rather than as a real flaw.

Equipment/Skills:
While clumsy most of time, she is very well coordinated when doing physical activity, meaning she has at least a little natural talent at nearly every sport. She does exceptionally well in school, as tests are something she can prepare for, but is a bit slower when it comes to thinking on her feet.

Matthew Harvester Age: 18 History: Matthew grew up as a common farmer on a common farm somewhere in the country of Australia with his normal 3 member family, well everyone was normal except for Matt, he was always the odd one out as he found out early on in life. why was he the odd one out? He lived like everyone else and worked like everyone else from a young age and he thought he wasn’t much different, he didn’t look any different, he was always cheerful but that wasn’t very special but what was special showed when he would go to the only school in the area which was pretty small. Matt showed great academic abilities from a young age which the small school could not handle after a while, he was in need of proper education somewhere else where he could become more than just a farmer. When Matt was 14 he had already passed through everything he could learn from the school and his father decided to have a chat with Matt. He asked Matt if he wanted to be a farmer like his father and his father before him or if he wanted to see more of the world, Matt instantly said he wanted to see more. His father showed a huge grin when he answered and told him he had good news. Ever since Matt was young his father thought he wanted his son to be something more than a farmer so he decided to put money aside every year to pay towards tuition fees when the time came, and that time had come. Matt said goodbye to his parents, to his farm, to his town and vowed everyone he would do so well the small country town would be put on the maps. Where was he heading? to a prestigious boarding high school which his father barely had enough money saved to send him to. When he finally got to the big city and found his way to the school (eventually) he was overwhelmed by the size of everything, so overwhelmed it was obvious he was a country bumpkin to everyone. He started high school with a bright attitude that never wavered, heck it probably only ever got bigger over time. Maybe some of the reason was that most thought he was a fish out of water in the beginning but he soon showed that after taking a few classes he was well on the track of outsmarting them, he would have too if he didn’t fall for Japanese culture in Foreign studies. Heck most his free time ended up going to studying about Japan… unless he had an assignment due of course. As his high school life went on his always happy attitude rubbed off on people around him and he was never seen alone, or was there never anyone with a frown near him. It seemed as if everyone had forgotten they once thought him as a country bumpkin. As he spent his days having fun with his friends and studying he started to think about the future, what was he going to do? he was soon coming up to his last year, and as he started thinking a perfect opportunity opened up, an exchange program with a school in Japan was going to start which Matt instantly signed up for and took the test…. which he would’ve easily passed as he did study the language. It was decided Matt would be the one to go and he called his parents to tell them he was going to Japan for his last year, they were both proud of their son and hoped he would see the world. and Thus he ended in Japan for his last high school year….. Personality: always bright and with a smile on his face, he has always been the type that attracted people around him with his bright cheery attitude, though at times he has been known to be a bit blunt and headstrong as he isn’t one to back down. there are two main legends revolving around Kresnik, one is the Deity and the other is the vampire hunter legend, both tie together personality wise. vampire hunter Slovenia. A shaman who transformed into a white-coated animal to fight the Kudlak. In Croatian and Slovenian lore, a person born with a caul was destined to become either a Kudlak or a Kresnik. A person so destined to become a Kudlak would already begin a career of evil while still alive - his soul would leave his body at night in animal form and fly through the air to attack people or to magically do other harm to the community he lived in. When he died, he became an undead vampire who was then an even greater threat to the community. But if a person born with a caul became a Kresnik, he became a champion of the community. While he lived, his soul left his body in animal form at night to fight against both living and undead Kudlaks. Where the kresnik was the representative of goodness and light, the kudlak symbolized evil and darkness Deity: Kresnik is the son of the creator deity, ruler of heaven. He lives in a fantastical country, sometimes called the "Land of the Rising Sun", "Eastern Land", or the "Ninth Country", and rules on the"world mountain", which is frequently described as being golden, crystal, or glass. He has been associated with fire, the summers solstice and storms. In legends of him as a human, he is a great king skilled with magic, but who interests himself in farming.

Age: 17 Appearance: Enjoying solitude... Arcana: Hermit Personality: A rather gloomy and brooding person by nature, Ayano doesn't really talk much and prefers it stays that way. When she's outside-a thing she does so very rarely-you'll often see her staring at the ground when walking and she usually has a troubled or discontent look on her face. One thing she keeps on demanding is for people to leave her alone, as she prefers to lock herself up in her own room. On the Internet however, her personality becomes a complete inverse of what she is, adopting an alias known as Yanary who stalks image boards and art-sharing sites, she herself runs a blog that is mostly filled with video game content. As Yanary, she masquerades as someone who is very cheerful, upbeat and overall a nice person who welcomes others with an open heart. Equipment/Skills: Ayano is rather efficient in the world of computers, she has some basic understanding of hacking and coding but don't expect her to plant or create a virus somewhere. Background: Ayano grew up in a simple home, she had the basics a family had: A mother, a father and a sibling or two. She had friends, was excelling in school and overall everything was fine. Things changed during middle school though, as Ayano faced the cruelty of bullying. She was practically the center of it all, they'd talk behind her back and would even threaten to kill her if she didn't do something that appealed to them. Eventually, she took it all to heart and considered herself to be the worst person to ever live off the face of the Earth. She didn't fight back, it'd only get worse. She tried telling a teacher, it didn't do much. She told her parents, it only lasted a day. As time went on, she became bitter and thought that her only real friends were the ones she made online. They listened to every problem she had and thought she was a good friend. She retreated into the Internet whenever she had a bad day and would just forget everything that happened. Nowadays she's heard some freaky rumor about teenagers suddenly changing personalities and how its connected to this 'Mirror World' she heard about... Leiko Hamada

Name: Leiko Hamada Age: 16 (Starting Second Year at Warakuma High) Appearance: High School Drama Queen Leiko's sense of style radiates a potent aura of sophistication and rebellion. Eschewing her school jacket and ribbon, she chooses to wear an expensive, imported apricot coloured Angora sweater, along with the standard Warakuma skirt, and black stockings that reach just to her skirt's hem. She also wears specially customed rosewater perfume, the fragrance of which is noted by many who meet her for the first time. Her auburn hair is naturally wavy, but she tames it with straightening products every morning before school. Her use of makeup, whilst minimal, is effective in giving off an air of class. Her wardrobe is mostly influenced by European fashion, and with the sage advice of her fashionista friend Saya. Arcana: Empress Personality: Brash and outspoken, Leiko has a powerful aura that few people can deny in her presence. For this reason, she is often found to be the ringleader of her group of friends, and with her confidence, is also the self-proclaimed star of the Drama Club. She is either sweet, or very sharp and scathing depending on who she speaks to, and due to her snobby nature, many classmates are either afraid of her or try desperately to fall in her good graces. However, with power comes a price, as Leiko sometimes doubts that the people close to her really care about her at all... Equipment/Skills: Wooden Spear (A prop from drama club, later upgrades to real spears.) Background: Born and raised in a fairly affluent family, Leiko had always treated other people like they were different from her. Beneath her, in a sense. For this reason, she was met with hostility from her classmates, and for a long time, Leiko was isolated from her peers. However, in her middle school years, Leiko finally snapped when she was confronted with a particularly vicious school bully, and rather than suffer in silence, she fought back, to the surprise of many. This caused her popularity to soar, and soon enough, Leiko had gained a group of friends and the reverence of the school, which then carried her forward into High School. Now, she is considered one of the most popular girls in school, but only accredited through her wealth, and her intimidating demeanour and reputation. Deep down, she suspects that her 'friends' aren't really her friends at all, but she chooses not to dwell on it, instead focusing on her studies and her acting hobbies. She is also currently engaged via her parent's wishes, and she is set to marry when Leiko graduates from High School. She has heard about the new rumours circulating around school, but pays them no mind, and merely thinks its a case of delinquents playing too many violent video games. Since the start of The True Self, Leiko has shown her enthusiasm and commitment in her role as Drama Club President, going as far as leading the recruitment campaign by herself, with some relative success from the male demographic. She has a strong work ethic in regards to the club, but shows doubt in her leadership abilities, particularly whilst under the scrutiny of her fellow clubmates, such as an arrogant male named Masatomo Owada. Bonus fact: She absolutely despises the name Leiko, and insists on being addressed as Hamada by everyone, with the exception of her close family. Name: Ueno Saya Age: 16 Appearance: "Stop frowning so much, Hama-chan!" Saya is considerably tall for a girl, standing at 5”9, with long legs that are the envy of many fellow female classmates. Both her eyes and hair are an amethyst colour, and she has a creamy smooth skin complexion that she maintains with a strict beauty regime. She is highly fashionable and as such, always wears the latest brands, and is considered as something of a trendsetter amongst her friends. She sports the standard Warakuma uniform at school, and wears a silver necklace with matching silver loop earrings. Arcana: N/A Personality: Saya is upbeat, cheerful, and quite playful in her mannerisms, always finding a good excuse to make light of a situation even in the darkest times. She is a very active and sporty person, vastly preferring to keep herself active over being stuck in a room with musty books. She is easily flustered by members of the opposite sex, and even more so by figures of authority, but she tries not to show it. She is notorious for being the only girl in school to be able to tease Leiko Hamada and get away with it. Equipment/Skills: Saya is surprisingly quite a good cook, having learned from her mother who owns one of the oldest-standing restaurants in Warakuma. She is also athletic and rather gifted over quite a few sports. Her academics are rather lacking however... Background: Born and bred in one of the most traditional families in Warakuma, Saya has never known life outside her hometown, nor does she care to. She is expected to work at her family's restaurant, and finally take over when her parents retire, but Saya has other plans, a fact which she makes known to her own flesh and blood, as well as the people who know her well enough. Still undecided in her path in life, she chooses to take it easy and see where her whimsy takes her. Growing up, Saya was quite the insecure girl, which made her an easy target for bullying. When she entered middle school, she was particularly targeted by a gang of girls who made it their mission to make her life a living hell. She became increasingly depressed and socially withdrawn, leading to the point where she almost gave up on life altogether. However, after one certain incident with her tormentor, she inadvertently got pushed into Leiko Hamada, a notoriously aloof and socially awkward rich girl. To the surprise of herself, and the growing audience around them, Leiko confronted the bully, which culminated in the girl infamously fighting them off. Since this incident, Saya has stuck to Leiko like glue, inwardly desiring to pay her back for what she perceived as saving her life that day. At Leiko's side, she was no longer picked on or hated, which gave her the confidence to allow her true personality to shine through. Leiko is entirely unaware of the depths of Saya's admiration however, barely remembering that Saya was there at all doing the confrontation, but Saya chooses not to be bothered by it. Since the events of The True Self began, Saya has shown an interest in Archery, going as far as joining the club despite her lack of knowledge or talent in the sport. It has also been established that she has feelings for the Club President Rokoru Ishiara, and is determined to win his heart, no matter what.

Appearance: Thin with graceful figure, Sato is approximately 176 cm tall and around 70 kg, with an average skin tone and a fine complexion. His hair and eyes are both a deep brown color.

Personality: Sato’s the type of person who wears formal clothing to semi-formal outings. He always speaks in a respectful yet casual manner, even to underclassmen and close friends, and he is much more of a leader than a follower, creating ample friction when there's a power imbalance in a group. Sato also rarely shows very much emotion when not necessary in social interactions, but he's really a passionate young man. Though he tries not to show it he's very conscious about other people and is generally concerned with others. He often tries to keep an image of perfection/superiority but it obviously sometimes fails a lot.

Skills/Equipment: Sato rarely chose his own hobbies or skills to develop, and he was instead forced into extracurricular activities by his parents. Some of the skills he gained from participating in them were: playing the piano, painting, drama, and baseball. A little bit into his second year, Sato joined the archery club (which he is fairly good at) and started practicing with the other members after school occasionally.

Background: A third-year student in class 3-3 born into a well-off family that moved to Warakuma for his mother’s work. Born in Tokyo, and as the first (and only) child, he lived a very controlled upbringing, to the extent where everything he did fit on a tight schedule. All his classes, all his activities, and all of his hobbies were chosen for him from the very start on a path to excellence. However, his father abandoned them for a "hotter woman" later on. His mother had to find a job and raise her son alone. While she found a proper occupation, they were required to move to a different city for it, leaving Sato in a new school with a lot less guidance from his parents-- or rather, parent.

Sato very well could have embraced this new freedom, trying to find out "who he is" and what not. His life had been a series of things he participated in solely to bolster his skills and social status up to that point, and neither young Sato nor his mother wanted to change that. For the latter half of middle school, and the first year of high school, he was focused only on his studies and the clubs he was in, but even when he was there, the people there and his "friends" were little more than tools to help him improve and succeed. Early in his second year of highschool, his mother told him that they would have to move yet again for her job, but this time to the rural town of Warakuma. There, recently, Sato's found comfort in the friends he's made in the archery club, the first club he joined after moving. After a falling out with them, Sato's trying his best to reconnect with Rokurou. His best subject lies in mathematics.

In the middle of the school year, Sato was a victim of a serial kidnapping case perpetrated by a local cult. Thrown into the mirror world, he was soon saved from his shadow world by a band of fellow highschoolers with the Persona ability. He managed to accept the parts of himself he tried to hide, and as a result joined the team once he acquired the persona ability. Through the investigation, he met Mako, and the two are currently dating.

Age: 18, born on September 19th.

Appearance: Rokurou looks a bit older than pretty much everyone else in the third year, and tends to just take up space with his positioning and possessions despite not being the biggest person around. He stands at 182 cm and weighs about 85 kg. He's not lean, but most wouldn't say he's not soft and exists in a limbo between those two adjectives. Most of the time he wears practical and ordinary clothes if not his school uniform, since he tends to wear his uniform all day on school days. He spikes his hair into a short faux hawk, and typically has a stern expression as a default face.

Personality: While he looks like a mature young man, Rokurou's body language and actions show how he's still a highschool student with much to learn about the world and the reasons why everything is why it is. Conceited, cold, and stubborn, he still looks out for others more than himself and leads people exceptionally well. Rokurou acts as a bit of a role-model for Sato despite being less than a year older, mostly because he's significantly better in archery and Sato admires his people skills. Rokurou is also a big fan of Western rock music and typically imports CDs, playing them at practice.

Skills/Equipment: His initiative and leadership skills made him a prime candidate for becoming the president of the WHAC, even when he was a first-year. Rokoru also remains as one of the best archers in Warakuma Highschool.

Background: A third-year student in class 3-2 born and raised in Warakuma who apparently might be moving soon. Rokurou is the current president of the Warakuma High Archery Club. While he does exceptional as a leader for the club, his actual grades in class are generally rather poor, and mediocre at best. Known as Class 3-2's biggest dunce (both literally and figuratively), some say that their class's averages drop drastically simply due to the presence of Rokurou's marks, but most disregard it as a silly rumor to make fun of him. Hopefully. His best subject is PE.

The boy has recently began helping his father with one of his newest cases though. He was recently beckoned by his father to help him out with his newest case - the teenagers and some random cult. Chiaki was always a kind, happy girl when she was younger, picking flowers, making friends. She believed she had the perfect life. Her mother was of Italian decent, her father was Japanese. She was born in the Tochigi Prefecture. Growing up there she had been introduced to several traditional, non-traditional and foreign practices. Her family only consisted of Her, Mother and Father. Although they were a small family, they succeeded in earning several amounts of income to support themselves. Her Father became a well known 'Waste Management' manager. Her mother took her education as far as possible, leading her into the supreme court where she defends people of all kinds. Poor Chiaki was left on her own, learning to take care of herself as her parents were never around during the day. Once Chiaki had reached her teens, she demanded that her parents pay more attention to her or she would call the authorities alerting them of how she has been mistreated all these years. Her parents agreed and vowed to spend more time with her.

Within the next year her parents became more distant, they would delve into deep arguments, fight all night and day. Chiaki was always the peace maker, she felt responsible, she believed it was her fault that they were fighting.
Once Chiaki had turned fourteen her parents then went through a few more 'rough patches' as they called them, then swiftly divorced and separated the following month. She would bounce from Mother to Father, Father to Mother. She had become sick of it, the life she had once knew was gone, she once again told her parents her feelings, this only angered them, they both agreed that if Chiaki hated them so much, she should go live somewhere else.

Chiaki was horrified, she ran away from the life she had once had, she had contacted a social service, they had her moved from Tochigi to to live with her Grandmother at Tatsumi Port Island. She had become accustomed to life there, she was staying with her Grandmother who had applied her for a modeling job for a magazine, against her will. She became very popular with the 'Goth, Pop and Gothic Lolita' Crowd. Her agent began to insist that she take her popularity to the next step and become a full fledged Idol.. After some convincing from her Grandmother, she agreed to it and was ready to set out on her journey as an up coming Idol. Unfortunately, her life changed once again, as her Grandmother had passed away. She was devastated, the life she had finally become used to, the life that she had created, one of happiness, was shattered.

She had turned fifteen and was attending private schooling but the social services believed it would be better for her if she was moved to live with her Aunt and Uncle in Warakuma, and attend the nearby school, interact with other students on a daily basis, so they enrolled her into the High School.
Having to turn back on her life again, she gave up being an Idol before she could even start, although there is still evidence of her being a model around, you don't even need to look hard enough, after all she is rather popular, if you're into idols that is.

Despite his effeminate features, Youhei is a man's man through and through. He rarely drops the positive, if sarcastic attitude and can be relied on to drop a perfect deadpan snark with just the right timing. While his strangely pessimistic brand of optimism comes from the heart, Youhei is also beset by a deep-seated sense of inferiority due to his rural upbringing. He secretly believes that all city folk think of him as rustic and backward, leading to trust issues in school life and a sense of insecurity that drives him to constantly use sarcasm and self-deprecating humour as a shield. In part because of this insecurity and part because of his easygoing nature, Youhei is terrible at dealing with arguments or malicious verbal assaults; he can defend himself in a fair argument with little than a mild adrenaline rush, but if someone lays into him, the boy will crumble. Background
The Kawasaki family owns one of the largest freehold farming chains in Hokkaido, with dozens of individual farms bearing the family crest. The clan has many branch families, one of which managed one of the smaller freehold in the far north, away from the trappings of modern Japan. Youhei's large family of nine had been solely responsible for several dozen acres of arable land dating back since before the war, without a single member of the clan ever moving from the area. As such, they had developed a certain... unique culture after the better part of a century's cultural isolation. Aside from taking pride in a dialect and accent so thick you could stew it, the Kawasakis hardy cared for the goings-on in the outside world, bar the occasional interesting snippet the delivery drivers and ancient radio told them.

It was therefore something of a shock to his parents when Youhei presented them with his plans to attend high school near Tokyo. While he sold it to them as an investment in a future manager for the business, Youhei was simply trying to escape the thankless monotony of rural life. With support from his grandparents he eventually convinced them to allow him, much to the chagrin of his elder siblings who would have balked at the chance. As the first Kawasaki to attend a non-branch school in living history, the pressure to succeed was intense, a new sensation to the erstwhile farm boy. Luckily for him the first year was relatively easy as he stayed with extended family, receiving a little too much help from their eldest daughter. Grateful yet uncomfortable living with girls his own age, he quickly worked out a way to rent his own run-down flat near the school and by the start of the second school year was well established in his new castle. If there is one thing that he has learned since moving to Warakuma, it is that he knows nothing of the world. Whatever half-baked plans he may have had before, seeing the world in all its glory has left Youhei overwhelmed and unsure of where to go in life.

But dealing with the folk at school was a... different experience. His first year was mired in miscommunication and isolation, mostly on his part as he struggled to understand his fellow student's Tokyo standard dialect. Luckily the second was shaping up well; a new class, a fresh start. That said, even some time into the new school year he had yet to make any real friends. Just something he had grown used to.

Despite his randomly changing personalities, no one has ever said that he came off as a rude individual to anyone, and the only times he is ever rude is when the scene calls for it.

Equipment/Skills: Is quite the fan of theater, so much that he enjoys acting to the point that he can be very believable depending on what the scene requires.

Background: Born to a more high class family, Sieg never really had a hard life. When he wanted something he got it, and he was always taken care of mostly by the maids though. His life was truly an easy one. Only hard part would be his parents lack of attention, but this was easily substituted by his favorite maid who would always take him to all kinds of plays as a child. This is where his love for them came from and blossomed. So of course after watching his first he started watching them regularly, even practiced to participate in them.

He would transform this love for performance into quite the art, becoming quite proficient in acting as he grew up. So when he and his family moved to Warakuma from Tokyo he began to experience less of the plays he enjoyed seeing. Yet luckily for him the school he was attending did have a drama club, so while he might not have been able to witness more professionally done plays, he didn’t mind as much as long as he got to partake in the art.

Unfazed by this, Noboru replaced the time his parents used to spend with him teaching how to dance and sing with working out and exercising his body. Any chance he could get, Noboru would be exercising, instead of studying for school. Not wanting others to feel alone as he did due to his parents, Noboru tries to befriend others at very high costs. When he got into high school, Noboru immediately joined the wrestling team, hoping to become the captain. In his off time, Noboru practices boxing.

Personality: Despite being a bit tomboyish and being a bit stubborn, she goes out of her way to help others and defend those who are otherwise defenseless. No matter if the situation seems hopeless she never backs away and willingly throws herself in danger if its to help another. After finally obtaining freedom in Warakuma, her actions are seen as crazy or a bit eccentric but is generally well-liked amongst the students, especially the girls, some of which see her as their one true 'Prince' for how she would 'swoop' in and save people from unruly situations and managing to keep her cool is stressful situations. Though, in normal situations, she'd occasionally let her true feelings show and drop her facade.

While she enjoys fighting, she'll rarely instigate a fight, choosing instead to come in the defense of others. She is quite the Otaku, despite being strictly watched, she used to sneak in mangas behind her fathers back (with the help of her brother) and watching whatever she could. She'll do whatever it takes to live life the way she wants it and won't let others dictate her life for her.

Background:
Hailing from the Ikebukuro area, Akane is the daughter of the Saito Group's head, Akihiko Saito, a crime boss. While she was pampered and spoiled, in a way, like you'd expect of a daughter of a crime boss or anyone who had it big, she never got it easy despite being the youngest, she has an older brother who is 7 years older. From the moment she turned 6 her father took it upon himself to 'toughen' her up by always putting her through rigorous training, regardless of whether she wanted it or not, with good intentions of course (not matter how cruel it seemed at the time). Like his father and his father's before him, it was tradition to have the 'family' involved in the family's line of work but that wasn't the only reason. Knowing the target that'll most likely be on her head once she got older, because of him, he wanted Akane to be able to defend herself in case anything were to happen to her.

Of course, She didn't see it that way and, naturally, slowly started developing an intense hate for him. In her junior high years, she held high marks, and was quite popular among the other kids in the school, as she was always surrounded by a 'flock' of people. Though 'popular', she drew the scorn of many who believed she was stuck-up, selfish, a thug and a matter of labels, mainly stemming for the fact of who her father was, despite showing otherwise. Regardless of how she was seen, she'd go out of her way to help others whenever she could, whether it was stopping thugs, giving others food or helping with small things. Though, no matter her intent, people would often run in haste from her after words or react harshly to her help but she resolved to help anyways despite this.

By the time it was her third year of junior high, her father, despite the training, tried to interfere more in her life, trying to stop her actions and get her to focus more on the 'family' and control her actions. Having enough, without his knowledge, she applied to various schools a good distance away from Ikebukuro hoping to get a fresh start. It didn't take long before she was found out and, of course, her father was furious, intending to enroll her in an elite school and groom her, with the intention to marry her off. However, as she neared her 15th birthday, those 'plans' came to a screeching halt when things went seriously wrong in a 'rescue' of one of her friends.

Before things could get worse, her Akito intervened and whisked her away to an lesser known location. Relocated to Warakuma, in an apartment building owned by her older brother, she was now living alone, and to dissociate her from the Saito Group, she adopted her mothers Maiden name of 'Hanazawa' while also dying her hair a purplish black.

Cú Chulainn or known in his childhood as 'Sétanta' is an Irish Demi-God, the offspring of a mortal woman, Deichtine, the younger sister of King Conchobar mac Nessa, and the deity, Lugh, the god who governed over the sun and a member of the Danann divine family in Celtic Mythology. Deichtine, the daughter of a druid, Conchobar's father, and Maga, the widow of Ross the Red, disappeared in the Land of the Young without marrying anyone. There, she bore Sétanta , the child of the sun god. He took up the name Cú Chulainn after accidentally killing the guard dog protecting the house of master blacksmith Culann. After which he uttered, ""Does this dog have children? If he does, could you allow me to take care of them? I will raise them to be guard dogs just as strong as their father. Until then, I will be your guard dog."

It was prophesied that "this child will live as a hero" at a young age by the Chief Druid, Cathbad. Cathbad was powerful, with his divinations being strong enough to "determine the future" rather than simply "see the future." Not knowing how to handle the situation, he decided that he would tell it to only those who would take up arms on that day. The divination was bad enough that none of them attempted to go through the rites of warriorhood, though Cú Chulainn was fishing while leaning against a hazel tree due to his disinterest. He went through the rites of warriorhood on that same day, and received the prophecy that said "in exchange for glorious deeds of valor, his life would be short." He readily accepted such a fate, smiling and laughing.

• Boy's A Brawler[/*] - Having got into many fights when he was younger, and through all his time in the archery club, he became quite capable with his hands which translated well with his fists.

Background: Growing up in a sporting family, with his father having practiced Kendo in his early years, his mother in archery and his older sister, Aoi, having followed their fathers footsteps with kendo. Having looked up to his mother, for her strength of will and determination, Akira grew fascinated watching his mother shoot every morning. He thought her form and the motion of it all was beautiful and grew fond the the arrow getting released from the bow and hitting the target. With every days passing, he became determined to learn Archery and after awhile managed to persuade his mother to teach him. As the years followed, his talent began to shine when he placed 1st in a regional tournament in his first year of middle school and followed that up with a 4th place finish in the nationals.

While he was initially disappointed for not getting higher, having got a little ahead of himself because of his placing in the regionals, he changed his mind when he was scolded (albeit lightly) by his mother and assured that placing 3rd in the nationals was a big deal and he should be proud. From that point on to the end of his middle school career, he placed either 1st or 2nd in every competition he competed in. When it came time to pick which High school for him to go to, despite having received scholarships from schools with prominent archery programs, he elected instead to go to the local high school, warakuma high, where his friends and fellow archery club mates decided to go. However, when he got into high school, he started having problems with a few upperclassmen in the Archery club. Putting up with it for awhile, it reached its boiling point mid-way through the school year when they got into a heated argument which turned into an ugly bare fisted brawl that result in him getting kicked from the club. And in turn started giving him a bad reputation within the school as a 'troublemaker' or a 'delinquent'.

Personality: He is a thorough survivor. No matter the odds and no matter the enemies, he finds a way to live another day. For a life steeped in self-defense at an early age, he is still quite astute a student. Always near the top with his grades, it is after-school that he involves himself in a struggle of survival. All the while the failing health of his mother and a young sister compounding his struggle manifold. He is trained to look after himself and those he loves and no matter the odds or the sacrifices he'll see this through.

Background: Being a Gaijin in a strangely xenophobic environment isn't much good for a child. And when you are naturally as close to a bear things get ugly quickly. Born to a mixed couple in the high streets of Tokyo, Alexei hadn't hoped to get a life he got. After his father got killed in a building accident, Alexei all of 7 years was left alone to look after an ailing mother suffering from added dose of depression and a young sister he had to protect. The fact that he excelled in a strict academic system being an outsider was somewhat a cause of displeasure amongst his so called friends. As he hadn't paid heed to budding envy that sowly transformed to hate about the time the family fortune slowly trickled out of the coffers to look after his family.

So young Alexei, took various oddjobs to earn what little he could and help in anyway he can. He took over his mother's trade account, a gift from his foresighted father and at an early age began to study the share-market as closely he can. He knew whatever jobs he did will only barely scrape them through, it was the money from transactions in the shares that will be the major chunk. He also took upon the cleaning duties of the house and his mother since they couldn't afford help from outside.

Then came the decision of shifting to a cheaper locale with an accessible hospital, His sister's good education and development of hobbies and other such things. All the while, the fires that stoked envy in his contemporaries grew stronger. Then an incident happened. Heavily labored as he was, he now had to fight for his skin and his family's. As his sister was the mode to get a decent hit on him. Her Karate instructor, a brother of his classmate tried to molest her and though like many victims she tried to hide it, Alexei sniffed it out.

Heartbreak was followed by a bout of insane wrath as he flew into his dojo and beat the man into a bloody pulp, making more enemies on the way. This meant that it was judicious to leave town and thus, the Dragunovs came to Warakuma. Learning from his experience, he trains himself in jiujitsu at the local dojo, juggles gym, works in a construction company as part-time, manages the account of his mother and is the nanny to his sister along with being subjected to strange dreams and a long nosed Russian.

Persona: Prometheus - Prometheus was one of the Titans to side with Zeus and his siblings in the great war against the Titans, the original occupiers of Mount Olympus. When Zeus won the war and banished Prometheus' brethren to Tartarus for eternity, Prometheus and his brother Epimethius were given the task of populating the earth with creations. Epimetheus, who created the beasts of the world, gave his creations all of the gifts that could be bestowed, leaving Prometheus with nothing to give to Humanity. To compensate, Prometheus stole fire from Mount Olympus, incurring Zeus' wrath. However, it wasn't until he taught mankind how to trick the gods that he was given his ultimate punishment. Backstory: The tall dark guy who was mostly avoided of the aura he gave off. Sagat didn't have many friends in Yokohama where his family had lived for three generations. So when the offer of a possible opportunity of taking over a Thai restaurant came to his father, Sagat had hardly anything to lose from the shift. Warakuma was a silent pocket in the interior of Japan and though the people didn't give a oppressive xenophobic feeling like in his birthplace, many people still avoided him. With no underground scene to keep himself busy he took up the charge of server in the restaurant his father was planning of overtaking.

Trained in Muay Boran from a young age, he is a dangerous and belligerent fighter in the ring, his personality changing a lot within the four ropes. He was famous as the 'Daitengu of Yokohama' in the underground circuit back at his birthplace. He has come to Warakuma to change the pace somewhat.

After a few days of constant convincing her mother finally changed the little girl's heart and as an added bonus found her a coach.

Seiji Mitsuhara, was a man of few words and even fewer things to lose. He was a martial artist who had fallen on bad days as he had gone bankrupt by his agent's swindling and was in dumps. When Inoue's mother approached with a earnest request, he thought he could make enough buck to live a average life. He moved to Warakuma and began his mission to transform Inoue.

Little by little as a mallet forges a fine blade Seiji remade Inoue, a prodigy hidden under all that lard. Four years of home schooling and a regimen that made her cough sweat out of her lungs he unleashed her in the Middle school tournament. Her final fight lasted a record one minute and with it her confidence and pride was restored. With a knowledge that those who mocked her could never be where she is and they'd always find a way to show her down she stopped giving a fuck.

She kept on training and slowly her ambition grew, the gruesome world of MMA being on her list next. Her intense home training continued but now she had company at school, two guys who were as far from the norm as oil to water.

Angular features, has a faint tired look to his eyes on occasion. Despite everything else on him being somewhat disordered, always wears his uniform immaculately. Sometimes seen with his hands wrapped, as though for sparring, for no immediately apparent reason.

Personality: A man of extremes- has an unusual tendency to swing quickly from calm and erudite to loud and bombastic, favoring the latter, though he always seems to be happy for some reason. He has an unquenchable thirst for life- he loves seeking out new experiences and new ways to entertain himself as the days go along.

He throws himself into life with an unmatched passion, though he's no fool- he never takes any unnecessary risks, if he can help it. In short, on the surface he seems to be ruled by his passions in many ways, but by paying attention, one can notice a keen intellect lurking beneath the surface.

Equipment/Skills: Skilled martial artist, keen strategist, though the latter trait is sometimes undercut by Mako's commitment to spectacle. Quick and light on his feet, agile. Generally keeps sports tape/handwraps on hand, "just in case."

Uses a length of chain and a hatchet as weapons while fighting Shadows.

Background: Information on Mako's history is rather sparse for as long as he's lived in Warakuma. All anyone knows for sure is that one day Mako and his father arrived in Warakuma, with barely anything to their names except what fit into their car. Mako turned out to be only slightly more forthcoming than his father, saying the two of them left Tokyo after his parents split up. Being the small town that it was, rumors abounded regarding the mysterious origins of the man and his son, though nothing was ever confirmed in any concrete manner. Eventually, as the pair of outsiders settled in, the rumors died away, and the two were gradually accepted as simply another landmark of Warakuma.

Nowadays, most of the talk concerning the Moritomis falls on Mako's somewhat lamentable reputation as somewhat of a prankster. Though the ghost of a question will always remain, about just how the duo came to be in their sleepy little town, of all places...

Personality:

An incredible gentle and polite young lady. But she seems to holds onto a great deal of anger and sadness from her past. But she tries to be optimistic and stay grounded. She works incredibly hard and persist through life, she's caring to those having a rough time giving them an ear and a shoulder to cry onto. She can come off as bitter at times and can be dismissive of people troubles she considers it 'not real trouble,' but she apologizes whenever she does this and will try not to do it again. She tries not make people worry or sad, so she avoids telling people her troubles and woes. And she is ashamed of being homeless.

Equipment/Skills:

She knows how to stay hidden and to survive without a home since she is homeless. Can sleep anywhere and anytime with as little sleep as humanly possible. She has learned how to use a knife as both a weapon and as a survival tool. Her most prized item and really only keepsake of her old life is a butterfly knife which belonged to her brother.

Background:

Keiko Ito, was born as the younger daughter of two children she was raised in a loving home, she loved her parents and was so happy with her brother. It was the perfect household, with loving parents that spoiled their two humble but naive children. Keiko was loved by her classmates and teachers for how hard she does everything in and out of school. But she spends most of her free time with her brother who was smart and was an honored student. Even though he was a lot older than she was he played with her and indulged in her fantasies and stories.
As she gotten older she grew to be her own person, spending less time with her brothers and working harder in school to be a teacher and help children and she loved spending time with children often being a really good senpai to her kohais. But she still loving spending her little free time with her brother and parents who over the years became less happy with her mother losing a job and her father having to work extra shifts at work to keep them afloat. but Keiko barely noticed.

But on the year she started high school their house caught on fire. Keiko was passed out due to the carbon monoxide from the fire. Her brother rescued her, but he suffered serious injuries and brain damage from all the carbon monoxide. He survived, but he went into a coma with a very unlikely chance of ever recovering. She was felt with regret in that she couldn't even thank him for his rescue and also that he might never recover because of her.

She started to hate her parents because to her all they cared about was the house and not that the fact that their son might die or at least be brain dead. But in reality they did care and was devastated by it but they put on a brave face so Keiko would stop blaming herself and try to move on. She didn't.

One night when staying in a hotel room, she ran off in the middle of the night, with only the clothes on her back and a few small things. The start was the hardest, but a homeless woman helped her survive on the streets. The homeless woman and Keiko stayed together for the better part of the year. In moments of doubt, Keiko called her mother's cell phone, saying she misses her and wants to be with them. But she is always reminded of all her anger when she hears her mother voice. There was only one time she spoke to her mother. Which was the most recent call, she never told a soul what she told her mother. Not even the friendly woman.

Keiko and the homeless had to move from town to town so child services doesn't get her and return her to her parents. She just so happened to return to the homeless woman hometown. For now the two found an abandoned house which was the woman's childhood home.

The homeless woman tries to keep Keiko healthy and even wants to permanently move to Warakuma so that Keiko could grow roots and try to have a normal life.

Her new name is Keiko Kobashigawa the homeless woman's maiden name. She will try to have a normal life as a runaway youth.

On surface, Eika is straight-to-the-point blunt about "expirations". To her, nothing lasts. Everything is always changing, things are realized too late, and it's hard to keep anything "stable". But...it's fine. She's convinced that she doesn't need people anymore at this point. She does fine without them.

She's not painfully boastful, but she isn't afraid to point out her superiority when she can. She isn't loud, but she doesn't think most people capable of what they set out to do if they don't look the part and she'll express it on the second it's mentioned. She's the person that won't take warnings for granted and will go head-first, sense last into a problem. Brute force can be her go-to method as she prides her strength, but on those rare, light occasions, she might actually be able to wisen up and change tactics if things go on long enough.

...Or she'll just keep bashing the problem with a (metaphorical/literal) hammer until things smooth over. But she can be coerced into decent conversation -- she likes hearing about struggles! No, not in that sadistic way. In that way of how people try to claw their way from the lowest of hope and fight until their heart gives up for some impossible goal- okay this is sounding sadistic.

Equipment/Skills:
- Weapon: An oversized hammer. Probably about as big as she is. How she hides it? ...Don't question it.
- Armor: The school uniform on top, and gauntlets on her arms and legs to keep her braced when she swings that menacing aforementioned weapon. Also has shoes with extra "stick", so she won't slip easily.
- Skills: Quite strong for her size, so she can wield her hammer easier. She can shrug off minor wounds and (very few) other wounds through pure force of mind that "they don't matter". Might have a slight adrenaline addiction.

Those words again.

Time and time again. From the age of three as her parents died on an airplane ride back home, Eika Munashii stayed in that orphanage. It was like a broken record. Hell. She wanted to tell the woman to stop talking and just get out. This same old story was just a migraine at this point.

Adopted out. Returned like a product with a defect. Why the hell did she need to bother with them?

Decent family. Nice people. Usually a caring older couple or one unable to have kids.

Tossed back to that orphanage. Because there was always something "wrong" with her.

That was fine. She didn't need them. She only needed herself.

Yes, her childhood was a bunch of ins and outs from one household to another. Nobody seemed to be able to keep caring for her after three months or more, resulting in more than a boxful of adoption papers. All were good families...she just didn't fit. So she stayed in that orphanage, but it got...tiring. Having to go back to the same place like a lost puppy, laughed at by the ones that knew her every time she came back...She wanted her own place. So...Eika got a job. If she wanted to get out, she could do it on her own, and she would prove it. And she worked harder than she should to earn enough money. As she grew, she argued down her employers to give her the increase in money she needed, and she took on more hours at night because she was...simply better at doing everyone's job.

And look. That worked.

Ages 12-15, she focused on how much an apartment would cost instead of making friends. There was no point in relying on them when she had other things to do. From a clueless kid trying to get out of the place she'd come to dread, she learned to support herself by her own desire. Instead of having to be dumped on another family, she made herself better. And it felt...better. Being able to be strong enough to do the manual labor of her job for extra cash, or learning something new that nobody else seemed to know well or at all. She rebuilt herself up from being some hopeless kid stuck waiting for someone to come and take her home.

Age 16, with some help from the kind people running the orphanage, she managed to buy a small but affordable apartment in the town of Warakuma, her birthplace. The name lies within the owner of the orphanage, but she's still good to live in it. She didn't know many other people her age that actually worked to earn their home. And it made her develop a slight complex. Being able to say, "YEP. I did this. Think you can? Probably not!" Which was true. Not all kids started at a job at 12 and worked their way up and kept at it until they had a home. She had her accomplishments and she didn't need anyone else to work up to them. That's the way it worked and that's how she got used to it. She did was she was better at than everyone else, and it got her what she needed.

Utaha is actually a pretty tall girl in comparison to most girls, and even guys, standing at 1.90 meters. Her build is actually quite curvy. Her orange hair reaches her back and is almost always kept straight, but she knows how to arrange it in lots of ways, for when she becomes a real idol.

Personality: Utaha is extremely lively, way too lively for the good of anyone in her vicinity. It is hard to see her stay put, and she likes jumping around as much as possible, even with her big body. She likes singing and dancing a lot too. Without regards of personal space whatsoever or the slightest hint of what the hell is the so-called delicacy she keeps hearing so much about, Utaha can be quite intrusive upon personal matters, even though she always has the best interests of people in mind, even though she can be quite the nuisance too. She always gives it her all to achieve her dream of becoming an idol, and always gives her 200% at everything, and also expecting that others will follow her example. She also does not accept any kind of slacker, and will force them into working, no matter what it takes.

An airhead and a klutz by nature, Utaha is someone who trips over nothing, forgets things rather quickly, can't read the mood or take a hint, and her fingers seem to be made out of butter, everything slipping through them most of the times. Unable to ever differentiate left from right, there are few actual things she is good at, such as dancing, and also, quite few things that can upset her, being almost always able to keep her cool no matter the circumstances. Still, there are a lot of things that can upset the ever happy Utaha, such as commenting over her height or telling her that her dream to become an idol is a fool's errand.

Equipment/Skills: Weapon: Unsuited for a fighting style that is less than graceful, due to her dancing skills and clumsy nature, Utaha would actually prefer to make use of a spear or lance when the time comes, so she would be able to put it to good use with her big body.

Armor: Not much, the usual school uniform and maybe something underneath it, but nothing slowing her legs down.

Skills: Dancing, singing. Due to an elective she was practically forced to take during middle school, she also knows Judo, if at least the basics. Her grades aren't that bad either, and she's able to memorize lyrics and whatnot in a matter of seconds.

Background: Born to a family of overachievers, Utaha spent most of her life being the black sheep in a family full of people that did not know what it meant to fail, at anything at all, and given how she is, and has always been, Utaha was actually looked down upon a lot. Her brother and sister always thought of her as being worthless and also called her names related to her height and build, hence building to her build complex. Her father barely paid her any attention, and not to say anything about her mother, who knew she was too much of a goody two shoes to actually tell anyone what she was doing behind her family's back. Utaha pretty much just had to put up with it.

Her life, well, it could not be called a living hell, she did not want to call it that, since many others had it even worse than her, but it wasn't something pretty. There was a single thing that kept her on the game, and it was the love she had for the idol Kiruri Izumi. Her songs and dances got right to her heart, and even so, it wasn't the songs themselves that made her hopeful. It was the fact that anyone could become that, even her. It was not long until Izumi released a song that actually filled Utaha with the courage she needed. That day, she was able to finally tell her dad about what her mom was doing, not only wringling every penny out of him, but also cheating on him. A divorce ensued, of course, and she ended up living with her father. He was no longer able of treating Utaha as he did, even though he still spent a lot of time in his work, he now calls regularly to check on her.

Utaha now feels happy about what she did and now aims to become an idol just like Kiruri Izumi, someone that makes and sings songs that reach people's hearts and fills them with emotions, that's what she wants to do the most. Still, she finds obstacles at every turn. Not one agency has hired her in all the time she has been attending idol auditions because of her height and build not fitting the image they search for in an idol. While it puts her down at times, she still gives it her best always and keeps up a positive outlook at everything. She will not let anyone put her down or ridicule her dream of becoming an idol that will reach everyone's hearts!

On the surface, Shizuka may be the stereotypical "ojou-sama" (young mistress), from her formal speech to her delicate mannerisms with a blend of shy and soft spoken side, but do not let that deceive you as the class dismissal bell rings and Shizuka's part time hour begins, the counterpart she created for herself, Shizu-chan, takes the spotlight with her lively demeanor, friendly smiles, and undying passion of being an otaku.

Sewing, professional make up, baton twirling, which were all gained from her experience with cosplay.

Background:
Being a balanced student with an appropriate amount of intellect and proper physical fitness, one would say Shizuka is an average high schooler if it weren't for the fact that her family was of a higher class compared to that of an average student. Like most children coming from a wealthy family, Shizuka was left alone most of the time, with the exception of servants, by her parents in their mansion with no one to play or interact with. Not necessarily neglected, but she didn't mind either way as she was an obedient child and she understood that both her parents were flooded with work which needed to be taken care of.

This is why she sought out a hobby to preoccupy herself with. Flipping through the channels as a curious child, she abruptly stopped when an animated female character on the screen magically transforms, with all the colorful lights and sparkles, and shouts, "In the name of the moon, I will punish you!" Eyes widened in amazement, Shizuka could not take her gaze away from the television screen while her thoughts were of how exciting whatever this was and how she wanted to become like them, hues of hair she's never seen before, costumes of different variety and color, and the dynamic personalities each one had.

Years had passed since then, but her love and excitement for anime never wavered. What remained though was her calm, delicate nature she presented towards her fellow classmates, friends, and parents. Her passion for anime (and now manga) was to not leave the four corners of her room. Shizuka would occasionally show hints of interest when her classmates discussed about them but no one, and she means NO ONE, should ever find out about how "otaku" she was.

Keeping all of this within her had limits and before she was about to breakdown, someone on the hallway of the school uttered the word, "cosplay". It took quite awhile for her to learn the meaning and to take enough courage to disguise herself in the colorful costumes and hair she once saw years ago, to find people of similar interests without them ever finding out her true self.

With the positive reactions given by the people she has met, Shizuka continued to create more disguises by her own hands, to the point where she landed at her current part time job at the cosplay cafe as Shizu-chan, the persona she presented to the people of the otaku world.
