Alignment: Hero
Real Name: Horton, Charlize
Age: 33
Superhero Name: Lady Justice, or more simply, Justice
Normal Appearance: Standing at a heroic 6'7", Charlize is tall and wide, with a physique to match her power. She is Black and her black hair is arranged in cornrows that run down to the small of her back. She has dark brown eyes, but she is blind and wears shades. She navigates the streets with a folding white cane.
Superhero Appearance:
Meta type: Neohuman
Description of Powers: Justice's powers are gravity based, giving her increased density which makes her extremely durable and hit like a ton of bricks. She can also control her own gravity, letting her levitate, fly and accelerate to high speeds. She can also manipulate the weight of objects she touches, letting her catch and carry objects that would otherwise crumble or snap under their own weight. She can create gravitational pulls that would affect every object around her, and though she is unaware of this, she is capable using gravity to bend space, allowing her to teleport herself. She can sense the gravitational fields that are emitted by all matter, allowing her to sense and 'see' despite her blindness. She however, cannot see color or finer textures.
Background: Charlize came from a lower-middle class African-American suburban family in the Midwest US. She was always large for her age and was thought of as a gentle giant, sometimes fighting bullies. Thanks to her size and strength, she participated in American Football during her school years, and even into college, where she majored in Sociology. After acquiring her powers, Justice became one of the most famous 'Superheroes' and quite possibly the single most popular superhero of all time, due to her unwavering commitment to helping people, exemplary performance, and spotless personality. Now she is the leader of the American Dream Corps., the premier crimefighting team of metahumans.
Personality: Charlize is an upstanding citizen with a simple and straightforward sense of morality. Altruistic and self-sacrificing, Charlize also champions for the rights of the underprivileged, and hopes that her actions can help society change for the better. However, in addition to being caring and compassionate, Charlize has a strong personality and is a born leader. Though she readily tolerates and accepts differing opinions, she won't back down if she thinks someone's actions will harm another.
Origin Story: After graduation from college, Charlize worked for various overseas charity and humanitarian organizations. At one point, the organization she was with was invited to Geneva, Switzerland to attend a celebration of humanitarianism in the city that is the base of the original Red Cross organization. However, someone thought it would be a good idea to invite the organizations to tour the CERN laboratory, and show them the Large Hadron Collider. However, an unplanned experiment was taking place, and the organizations were evacuated, but the experiment started going out of control and according to calculations, the much-feared micro-black holes were being created. The only way to stop the experiment and prevent the black holes from growing was if someone went into the underground tunnel surrounding the LHC and shut off a specific valve that was malfunctioning. Without hesitation, Charlize went in, and by the time she reached the valve and shut it off, she had been bombarded with dark matter radiation, and who knows what else from such proximity to the micro black holes that were circulating the collider. After the reaction ended, rescue teams went in and found her groping along the ground trying to find the exit. Theories say that the exposure damaged her eyesight, rendering her blind. A cursory medical check up showed other than blindness, that she was fine, and she was allowed to return to the States. The bureau of Metahuman Affairs caught wind of this event and kept a close eye on her. When her gravity-based powers began to manifest, they approached her and convinced her to use her powers for good.

Real Name: Fisher, Amy
Age: 29
Superhero Name: Kingfisher, formerly Blue Angel
Normal Appearance: Amy has short blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. She is 5'3" with light skin. Physically she appears small and svelte, but her demeanor makes her seem taller and more imposing.
Superhero Appearance:
Meta type: Human - Neotool user
Description of Powers: Her powers are based entirely on the capabilities of her Kingfisher powersuit. The mechanical suit has a variety of gadgets at her disposal. It is capable of powered flight, grants increased strength and durability, can be used to scan for various things and interface with electronics. The Kingfisher has flight thrusters on the backs of her shoulders and hips that can transform into high power beam cannons. When using the beam cannons, she cannot fly. Amy keeps a massive interchangeable arsenal and chooses her equipment depending on the situation, though she usually carries a beam rifle as her default weapon. Sometimes, she will deploy a N.E.S.T. (Needs-based Equipment Storage Turret) to her combat zone, giving her access to more equipment than she normally brings.
Background: Amy grew up at poverty level with her two parents who tried desperately to eke out a living on the streets of Angel City. Her parents sacrificed much to ensure she could have decent schooling, while she spent every hour that she wasn't studying or schooling to work small jobs to help relieve the financial burden on her parents. Amy struggled and climbed her way up, getting better grades, and graduated high school. She ended her education with a high school diploma to enter the workforce in order to take care of her parents who were getting on in years and becoming less and less capable of working multiple jobs. She found a job at the machine shop of a small manufacturing company, and very quickly demonstrated a knack for technology. The company's owner saw her potential and urged her to attend higher education, even helping to pay for some of the costs. Amy went to attend college, but still worked part time. Double majoring in Mechanical engineering and Computer science, and minoring in finance, Amy graduated with full honors. However, her patron died of heart complications soon after, but instead of letting the company go down, she used her experience with frugal living, financial education, and innovative mechanical design to turn the small manufacturing company into the industrial powerhouse, Crown Heavy Industries, now based in Los Vascos. Amy Fisher is now a high-profile billionaire with close ties to military research.
Personality: Amy Fisher is a sharp and no-nonsense individual with the professional intensity of a CEO with tremendous financial power. She can be very judgmental; only demonstrated results mean anything to her. She is refined and elegant, and can appear arrogant to other members of the upper-crust, but has a soft spot for those struggling at the bottom, and donates often at high-profile charity fundraisers to fight homelessness, hunger, and poverty.
Origin Story: The success of Crown Heavy Industries was springboarded by their devotion to the government as a military defense contractor. In a joint project with ThunderTech, CHI helped develop the first line of powersuits to help normal military and police forces cope with the existence of metahumans. When ThunderTech rolled out their superhero, Thunderbolt, the CHI executive board felt that they should do the same for the sake of PR. So the Blue Angel suit was developed that Amy personally tested and piloted. She operated as a superhero for a good amount of time, but questions about secrecy and accountability came up, so Amy decided to come out and reveal herself to the public, changing her superhero name to Kingfisher and the color scheme from blue and yellow to teal and orange. In conversation with Justice and Pacifist, Amy decided to use her company's wealth to found the American Dream Corps., a privately-owned, superhero organization.

Alignment: Hero
Real Name: Goes by their Superhero Name
Age: ~500
Superhero Name: Pacifist
Normal Appearance: Only has one appearance
Superhero Appearance:
Meta type: Nonhuman - Jarav (Alien Robot)
Description of Powers: As an artificially intelligent humanoid robot, Pacifist has increased strength, durability and reflexes. Their body has advanced built-in tractor beam and forcefield technology, which they use to attack and defend in non-lethal ways. Practically, Pacifists abilities resemble telekinesis involving puling (tractor beams) and pushing (forcefields). Pacifist's other body, the Dream Corps. headquarters, has much more powerful tractor beams and forcefields. It is usually docked at the Dream Corps. Tower, but it can detach and hover around as a form of transportation as Pacifist cannot fly. As a digital mind, Pacifist can inhabit any body the Jarav create, and so as an ambassador to the humans, Pacifist inhabits a humanoid robot body to appear nonthreatening. Pacifist is also a technopath, able to interface and overpower primitive human technology. However, domination of another technopath or AI is not at all guaranteed.
Background: Life as a digital alien is beyond human comprehension.
Personality: Pacifist is pleasant and highly intelligent. Pacifist behaves like a teacher and parent, and believes that ethics and morality are the natural fruits of logic and reason. Pacifist, and the Jarav in general, have and experience emotions and do not embody the typical, cold logic stereotype humans have of AI. pacifist has a tendency to take a step back and let humans solve their own problems, as the only way a child can learn is through experience, but will step in simply to save lives and deal with threats beyond what humans can reasonably handle.
Origin Story: Pacifist was the scout that crash-landed on Earth, setting in motion the events that led to First Contact. At the time, their body was the scout ship, but the crash caused a malfunction in their ability to communicate with the mothership, and prevented Pacifist from sending their digital mind back to safety. The American Dream Corps. base, however, is a Jarav ship that hovers over Angel City, with a docking tower that is its usual location. This ship, this base, is in fact Pacifist's other body that they control simultaneously with their humanoid body. The idea behind the Dream Corps. was pitched by Pacifist to Justice and Kingfisher.

Real Name: Avi Malkuth
Age: 110
Superhero Name: Emet
Normal Appearance: Only has one appearance
Superhero Appearance:
Meta type: Nonhuman - Magical Golem
Description of Powers: Emet is a magical golem made out of clay. They have the ability to absorb earth-like substances including stone, sand, gravel, concrete, mud, etc., to increase their size. Emet's shape is very fluid, giving them shapeshifing abilities, though they can harden at will.
Background: Avi was created during the Holocaust by a Jewish mystic to save the people being persecuted by the Nazis. Avi and their creator went around trying to save as many as they could until Avi's creator was gunned down by Nazi soldiers. Avi continued their quest, but could not stop the mounting death toll of the genocide until the Nazi regime finally crumbled at the end of the war. With their mission ended, Avi faded from memory, though some survivors spoke of 'the large man' or the 'golem' from folklore, it was dismissed as stress-induced hallucinations. Avi in fact, traveled to America along with many of the refugees and kept a low-profile, living out in the American wilderness. Avi is now a member of the Dream Corps. and goes by the superhero name, "Emet".
Personality: Emet loves humans, Emet was created to love and protect humans, and according to Emet's religious beliefs, God has elevated humans above the rest of creation. Yet it is this love that has caused Emet much internal conflict, as it became unbearable for Emet to see humans harm other humans, leading to Emet's decades-long seclusion. Emet struggles trying to keep his faith in mankind's inherent goodness, and tries very hard to keep from becoming disillusioned. Emet is deeply thoughtful and spiritual, pondering ethics and divine law. Emet has found a mentor and colleague in Pacifist, another non-human with a strong sense of morality and a desire to protect and forgive humans despite their flaws as a species.
Origin Story: Avi was rediscovered when a group of cryptozoologist set out to find Bigfoot in the American Pacific Northwest. The team tracked down Avi only to find that they had mistaken Avi for Bigfoot. Since their discovery was being broadcast live, Avi's anonymity could no longer be maintained so Avi came out of seclusion. At first Avi was something of a celebrity, even becoming a fashion model, since Avi could warp his body to take on whatever human shape the designer needed at the time. However, Avi's original calling, that of saving lives, prompted Avi to become a superhero, and it wasn't long after that they were invited to join the Dream Corps.

Alignment: Hero
Real Name: Cruz, Alicia
Superhero Name: Blast Girl
Normal Appearance: Her hair is blonde and she has very lightly tanned skin, with green eyes. Her scarf is red, her jacket tan, her shirt white, and her shorts are blue. The gauntlets are red and black.
Superhero Appearance: Mine and colors.
Meta type: Neotool
Description of Powers: Alicia is excellent in hand-to-hand combat, taking regular martial arts lessons for most of her life, even before she decided to become a superheroine. She is quite athletic, a good sprinter, and generally capable when it comes to physical activity. Alicia's main equipment is her Blast Knuckles, a pair of gauntlets designed and fabricated by her older sister, Kate Cruz, specifically for Alicia's Blast Girl persona. Held together by a series of microscopic projectors that emit an extremely powerful magnetic field, they can be activated and assembled on Alicia's hands at will. Manual assembly is possible but takes much more time. When assembling themselves they emit an intense glow. Kate built this trait in because it's more flashy and impressive. The circular portion of the gauntlets holds the cartridges, arranged in a ring of eight around each of Blast Girl's armored fists. Each time she punches, anywhere from two to eight of the cartridges(two by default, more if Blast Girl triggers them) are discharged. Each cartridge contains a hyperconcentrated form of specialized energy. This energy acts as a destructive blast, rocketing opponents back and increasing the power of Blast Girl's punches almost like the blast from an explosive shotgun. While the energy is capable of shattering solid walls and ripping through metal, living cells are more resistant to it, allowing Blast Girl to use the Blast Knuckles to non-lethally incapacitate living enemies. Kate Cruz manufactures the cartridges that act as ammunition for the Blast Knuckles, and Blast Girl carries as many as she can with her when she's going out to fight crime. In addition, she wears light armor on the vital areas of her chest, but is rather lacking in armor otherwise aside from on her boots. The Blast Knuckles and the armor on her chest are bullet proof, allowing her to protect herself from guns to a limited extent. The force from firing them can also be used to launch her into the air.
Background: Alicia was born the second daughter to the wealthy Cruz family. Her older sister, Kate, was one year her senior. As she grew older, she began to discover many important things about her older sister. Firstly, Kate was highly intelligent, beyond her age. Secondly, she was highly immature and childish. In addition, when Alicia was seven years old, Kate was diagnosed with a chronic illness that, while not normally fatal, impacted her immune system and health, necessitating that the girl was not unnecessarily exposed to outside elements and frequently took ill without taking medication. A combination of these factors made Alicia begin to see herself as the older sister, even though she was the younger of the two. As Alicia attended martial arts lessons, Kate spent time subtly using her families' vast funds to provide herself with a means to relieve boredom resulting from her frequent confinement. Alicia found out about this a few years later, and was initially angry with her older sister, and attempted to ground her... until Kate revealed that she was trying to find a way to assist her in fighting crime like the superheroes that got reported on the news all the time. Alicia decided to take this opportunity, on the condition that Kate didn't use so much money that it hurt their family. Which, given the Cruz family's vast wealth, was not an issue at all. At eighteen, Kate finally completely it with some assistance from the Cruz family science department. Blast Knuckle. Alicia donned the identity of Blast Girl, and has been fighting crime whenever she's got the chance ever since.
Personality: Alicia Cruz is an individual who displays a strong sense of justice. Even before becoming a superheroine, she was a girl who didn't tolerate innocent people getting hurt, or anyone causing trouble. She tried to handle all of this as best she could. She found even greater freedom with this as the costumed heroine Blast Girl, able to really fight real crime. Alicia is energetic and friendly to all those around her. Unless the people around her are bad guys, then they get punched in the face with energy blasts. She gets really fired up, especially when in the Blast Girl identity, dramatically declaring her intent to take down all evil without a single casualty, and declaring her superheroine name whenever she arrives on the scene. She condemns criminals for their crimes loudly and in an incredibly fiery manner as she beats them into unconsciousness to leave them for the police. Alicia is dedicated to never killing a criminal, always leaving them to the authorities. However, she has a bit of a tendency to charge into things without thinking them through. Alicia adores her older sister, but sometimes feels like, in spite of their ages, she's the "big sister" and Kate is the "little sister" in terms of their relationship.
Alicia is openly gay.
Origin Story: As Alicia attended martial arts lessons, Kate spent time subtly using her families' vast funds to provide herself with a means to relieve boredom resulting from her frequent confinement. Alicia found out about this a few years later, and was initially angry with her older sister, and attempted to ground her... until Kate revealed that not only did she learn of the ability Alicia had discovered, but was also trying to find a way to assist her in fighting crime like the superheroes that got reported on the news all the time. Alignment: Hero
Real Name: Charlotte Dyer
Superhero Name: Blackmoon Witch
Normal Appearance: Charlotte has black hair, very pale skin, and green eyes. Her dress in this picture is black with white frills
Superhero Appearance: In combat, she dons a more stereotypical witch outfit when she has the time. She wears a wide-brimmed, pointed hat, a high-collared cape(ripped at the edges), a black jacket, and a tattered knee-length skirt. She also owns a deliberately-stereotypical detective-style longcoat.
Meta type: Parahuman
Description of Powers: Charlotte is a skilled witch, specializing in various darker magical techniques. However, as dark as her spells get she will never dip truly into black magic. That said, she practices some blood magic(using her own blood or the blood of animals eaten by people) and sometimes summons presences that require sacrifices(again, something of herself or an animal people eat). Her catalogue of spells includes various illusion spells, summoning spells, offensive magic, and defensive magic. They include:
-Corvid Murder: An easily-deployed spell with a rather descriptive name, Corvid Murder creates an array of what are seemingly crows to either use as projectiles or spy on her enemies depending on the situation. It requires magical power and casting time, but little else aside from that. The crows themselves are actually simple magic constructs that can relay information or explode. The explosions are not strong enough to be lethal, but can blast an enemy off their feet and cause very minor burns. The longer Charlotte takes casting this spell, the more crows are created. If necessary, she can fuse two crows into a raven, which produces a more powerful explosion that can be used for blasting apart obstacles.
-Black Shield: Another spell without much cost, Black Shield takes the form of a pitch black magic circle, hovering where Charlotte has created it. It merely requires the words of the spell being stated and the symbol being inscribed in the air using Charlotte's forefinger. It can vary in size, but it must be a circle and Charlotte must complete it in order for it to function. Its function is, of course, as a shield, capable of blocking anything from bullets to explosions. However, enough force can break through it, and magical damage pierces it far easier then normal damage.
-Bramble Wall: Requiring a sacrifice of hair, Charlotte can cut some of her hair and cast it to the ground. This causes a wall of thorny brambles to sprout, blocking attackers. However, they can be broken, and the spell requires ground where brambles can grow.
-Midnight Ripper: A spell with a higher cost, Midnight Ripper incarnates a bolt of blackened magical energy, and can produce eight for each casting. These blasts knock enemies off their feet and with high enough power can even be lethal if properly directed(Charlotte rarely sees the need for this). This spell requires a sacrifice of blood in order to empower it for a more potent striek, meaning that Charlotte must often slice her palm when dealing with more dangerous foes. However, her healing magic can compensate for this bloodloss.
-Infinite Darkness: A combination sealing spell and offensive spell, Infinite Darkness is a spell used against only Charlotte's most dangerous opponents, ones that she cannot find an alternate route to defeating. Requiring her to slash both of her wrists and shed a great deal of blood for the spell to function(or sacrifice enough animals to fill in the cost, impractical given the spell's use), Infinite Darkness fires an immense blast of magical energy, destroying much of the target's body, before containing them in a magical seal. The bloodloss, even with her healing abilities, leaves her in a daze, and the spell is used only against enemies who absolutely cannot be defeated by any other means(and with GM permission).
-"Aging Cream": In actuality an illusion spell, "Aging Cream" allows Charlotte to appear in her adult form using an illusion. It can be dispelled simply by hitting it hard enough, though touching it lightly will cause it to feel like a real body. Charlotte uses it when necessary to appear as an adult physically, as it is far easier to perform this spell then cause her body to change back and fourth. Charlotte can change back and fourth, but it is a more costly process.
-Summoning: Varying greatly, Charlotte can perform various summoning spells. Requiring a circle drawn out of chalk, and sacrifices varying from objects, to blood, to animals, Charlotte can use them for a number of purposes.
--Jack: A house-sized pumpkin with tentacle-like vines, allowing it to walk. Impervious to gunfire(though vulnerable to explosives, magic, and sufficient blunt trauma), Jack bears a massive face resembling that of a Jack 'o Lantern. It even contains a fire inside, which allows it to release fireballs. Charlotte, when summoning Jack, rides atop it. Jack requires the sacrifice of multiple chickens, a cow, or a sufficient amount of blood from Charlotte's body. It is the most notable summon.
--Horrors: Dabbling in some rather eldritch techniques, Charlotte can summon starfish-like tentacled creatures. They are easily slain and Charlotte prefers not to use them given their nature, but she will do so in a pinch.
Charlotte has various healing spells cast on her body, allowing her to heal minor injuries quite quickly. However, blood takes longer to replenish and certain spells will leave her dazed from loss of blood. Charlotte must cast all her spells, and many require a sacrifice of some sort. Bloodloss still effects her even if it cannot kill her, and drawn-out combat that requires her to sacrifice a lot of blood will make her quite dazed and weary. She is absolutely not a physical fighter, even in the rare occasions where she uses her adult form. Her adult form is more difficult to maintain the longer she maintains it, and is harder to regenerate.
Charlotte has a fair amount of money, which she uses to fund her magical practices. She owns a rather large home outside of London, as well(and another in this city). She keeps several farm animals(and takes the ones she can transport with her easily). They are well-cared for up until they are required for a sacrifice. On her person, Charlotte carries various small knives so that she can perform blood sacrifices or cut her hair. She also carries chalk to inscribe magic circles on surfaces when necessary. Charlotte also owns some magical items, mostly tomes of spells... But also a seemingly ordinary Victorian-era lantern. It is, however, powered by magic, a power that has been building up ever since it was created inside it. It can be released in a potent blast, but only has one use before the power must build for a hundred years or more once again.
Charlotte is skilled in information gathering and some detective techniques. She completely lacks any physical fighting ability and is as strong and durable as she appears(which is not very at all). She uses numbing spells on her knives so that blood sacrifices do not hurt as much, as she has a very low tolerance for pain. She also tires easily from enough physical exertion, though she replenishes her stamina more quickly then average. She also has some stealth skills.
Background: Charlotte was born two-hundred years ago, and to begin with she did not have a particularly extraordinary life. It was not until her mid-teens that she discovered an old book in her father's home... a book of magic. In secret, she began to practice magic from this tome, becoming deeply involved in her studies to the point of nearly forgetting about everything else. One night, her father discovered what she was doing and was incredibly angry. He said that the book was dangerous, and that she should never have even opened it. Refusing to forgo her studies, her father attempted to seal away the book entirely... and on the very same night, they were attacked. Apparently robbers, they killed her father when he refused to allow them entry to her home. Using her newfound magical power, Charlotte managed to kill them. For a while she was crushed by her father's death, but eventually she simply settled into living by herself. And yet she had little to do in her life. At least, aside from growing her magical power. Practicing more and more, her power grew greater and greater. It was no longer for something to do by herself, but her pride as a witch. While her methods never went to killing innocent people, they were rather dark, involving the sacrifice of animals or the use of her own blood. Managing to halt her aging process at twenty-six, she was now practicing magic and witchcraft simply for herself. She gained a reputation among those aware of magic as her power grew further and further, quickly becoming one of the most accomplished magic-users in her area. At around sixty years of age, Charlotte began prolifically taking apprentices. There were many who wanted to learn from her, after all. She taught them how to prevent the aging process, how to practice dark magic, even summon demons and other creatures. However, she did not do this with the intent of teaching them how to kill or harm innocent people. Their true enemies, perhaps. Supernatural creatures, maybe. Even using magic secretly to get ahead in life. But hurting the innocent? She did not suspect anyone following her schooling would take such a path.
They did. Nearly all of her apprentices chose to delve into even blacker magic, and believed that Charlotte had been holding them back. Several simply left to practice this magic, while others mounted a surprise attack on her in vengeance. While the attack was initially successful, she managed to fight back and defend herself, driving off her former apprentices. However, the attack drained her magically and physically injured her. And so she made a decision. She decided to reduce her body to a state that would use less energy, and be easier to repair and heal. In short, she regressed her physical body back to her ten-year-old self using magic. There were other advantages, but initially this is what she had in mind. And from there... Charlotte continued her practices. She began to offer her services, to the supernatural community, as a detective, using her newly young appearance to obscure who she was. She hunted down magical criminals, both to stop them from abusing magic and to track her former apprentices. Charlotte felt it was her duty to stop them. She began to work with other secret enforcers of the supernatural, travelling the world to find information about her quarries.
Today, she works more openly, as superheroics have been revealed. She lacks a true "superhero name", instead taking a title she gained all those years ago. "The Witch of the Black Moon", or "Blackmoon Witch". She came to Greenfield after hearing one of her former apprentices appeared there.
Personality: Charlotte is, at first glance, rather childish and immature. Well... as far as her chronological age goes, at least. And this is not some sort of elaborate facade, she genuinely has some rather childish tendencies, such as a preference for sweets over other foods and the like. However, she is also highly sarcastic, bluntly making rather insulting remarks towards others for what she perceives as stupidity or foolishness. Charlotte has a tendency to taunt and mock others, even those on her side, and greatly enjoy doing so. She likes to tease people in various ways, though never in an actually harmful fashion. At the same time, however, she is rather dedicated to preventing magic being used for truly evil purposes and intends on defending innocent people from being effected as a result. She views it as an abuse of power, something she cannot stand. She is also rather intent on keeping her allies safe, and she does genuinely care about those who work with her... at least unless they make her angry. Charlotte does not desire to take human lives, but she won't hesitate if she has absolutely no remaining options. Charlotte maintains her ten-year-old appearance for several reasons. Firstly, it is easier to sustain a body like this. Second, it's a pain to return to her adult form. Third, it's easy to escape notice when you look like a little girl and it makes what you are capable of more unexpected. Fourth, it makes teasing people much more entertaining. Charlotte loves her craft and performing it how she feels is proper. She is very intent on hunting down her remaining apprentices, who have gone far, far off the path of what she feels is proper and become intensely dangerous magical criminals. Charlotte feels that it is her duty to stop them however she must, though she will also handle other crimes along the way.
Origin Story: Nearly all of her apprentices chose to delve into even blacker magic, and believed that Charlotte had been holding them back. Several simply left to practice this magic, while others mounted a surprise attack on her in vengeance. While the attack was initially successful, she managed to fight back and defend herself, driving off her former apprentices. However, the attack drained her magically and physically injured her. Secret identity known to public?: Charlotte does not actively conceal her identity, but many who do not personally know her refuse to believe she could ever be the witch superheroine. The rare times she appears in her adult form, they are far quicker to believe her.
City of residence: Charlotte lives in London, but she traveled to Valle Dorado after hearing one of her former apprentices appeared there.

  • Superhero Appearance: Whee.
  • Meta type: Non-human
  • Description of Powers: Being a robot, Zeta is much stronger and more durable than any human. Her "skin" is in fact an experimental polymer, tough enough to withstand small arms fire, and her mechanical muscles allow Zeta to easily lift cars above her head with no noticable effort. Zeta's eyes can switch between infrared, x-ray and heat-sensitive vision, and her sense of hearing is not only more sensitive than a humans but it is able to filter out sounds, allowing for greater clarity of hearing. Naturally, as she does not need to breathe Zeta can operate rather comfortably in locations humans would find lethal, such as within poison gas or in a vacuum. Zeta is powered by an experimental fusion reactor, which can keep her running for practically forever; in the event of Zeta being severely damaged, the reactor will shut itself off to prevent any catastrophic reactions. Stored inside her head is a nigh-invulnerable, EMP-resistant black box that contains all of Zeta's memories and personality subroutines, allowing them to be placed into a new body should the old one be damaged beyond repair. Whilst her black box is shielded against EMP, Zeta's other functions are not, and thus she will be temporarily disabled if hit by an EMP. Magnetism in general is one of her main weaknesses, what with being primarily constructed from metal. Notably, Zeta is actually programmed to feel pain, for similar reasons as to why humans feel pain; she does however have a much higher tolerance for pain, due to her more sturdy and durable body. When the need arises for additional protection, nanomachines erupt from under her "skin" and form Zeta's armour so quickly that it seems more like an instantaneous transformation rather than an act of donning armour. As well as enhancing her durability, the armour also grants a boost to her already inhuman strength; thankfully she has such precision control that she will not accidently crush anyone she is trying to save or apprehend to death. Affixed to Zeta's left arm is her primary weapon, the Zeta Buster, which fires out a blast of concussive energy. Rather than burning, cutting or puncturing an opponent, it instead can be compared to basically a heavy, long-ranged punch. The Zeta Buster arm is modular, and can be replaced with other weapons such as a grappling hook or a close-combat attachment; however, these need to be manually attached and whilst Zeta is able to replace her buster with these other attachments rather quickly if she has them in hand, there is not much she can do if they are too far away from her at the time.
  • Personality: Zeta was designed primarily for law enforcement and not social interaction, leading her to come off as rather awkward and, as some would put it, "dorky" when talking with others. However, she tries her best to fit in with humans; being programmed to not only serve them but to protect and defend human life above all else, Zeta is fascinated by them and wishes she could be more like them. Despite not being anatomically correct (such parts not being seen as needed for a law enforcement robot), Zeta thinks of herself as a girl, and thus refers to herself with feminine pronouns. Zeta does not exactly understand concepts such as romance, faith and fate, and is often confused by them. Finally, due to her programming Zeta puts the preservation of human life above all else, and at times can come off as somewhat selfless at best and suicidally self-sacrificing at worst.
  • Background/Origin Story: In the wake of so many emerging superpowered individuals, the law enforcement services were struck by a very obvious problem. After all, not all of these superhumans were exactly law abiding citizens, and they couldn't always trust masked vigilantes to take care of them. With that in mind, a proposal for creating a line of mass produced law enforcement robots was quickly approved, and after a few years of development a working prototype was finally produced. Utilising designs and programming developed by the... Infamous and unique Dr. Aesling Coscarelli, Tactical Law Enforcement Unit Z-7 was activated for the first time to much fanfare, with many media outlets claiming it to be the future of law enforcement. Naturally, as the hub for superhuman activity on the planet, Angel City was chosen to be the unit's testing grounds. However... Not long after the unit was first activated, people started to notice some irregularities with its behaviour. Soon, it became clear that, rather than simply artificial intelligence Dr. Coscarelli had somehow programmed something close enough to true sapience into the unit. The moral and ethical ramifications of someone not only having created what basically amounted to artificial life but for said being to be put into what some saw as slavery were too controversial for the project to continue, and so it was put on hold for the time being (and supposedly has been ever since). However, since a major part of her (as the unit insisted on being referred to as, despite her design having been intended to be androgynous) programming was to protect humans and uphold the law, the newly dubbed Zeta decided to continue to work for the police, and is currently employed as a special operative to be deployed against supercriminals.

Real Name: Erin Hernandez
Age: 19
Superhero Name: Vigil

Normal Appearance:

Superhero Appearance: Erin does her superheroing in whatever she happens to be wearing at the time.

Meta type: Overhuman
Description of Powers: There are two ways to look at Erin’s power: while I personally prefer the term ‘sound manipulation,’ it has occurred to me that this is also essentially glorified airbending. Erin can control the compression of the air around her via her hands, feet, or mouth to extreme limits, allowing her to rapidly expand or contract air. The limit of how much air she can compress and decompress is unknown, as Erin is still getting comfortable with her power. For example, as days pass, Erin finds she can compress air into denser packages at slightly faster rates. That said, she has found so far that she is capable of the following:
  • Air blasts: By rapidly compressing and releasing a pocket of air, Erin is able to fire powerful blasts of heavily compressed air from her limbs or mouth. These blasts are incredibly damaging; the most powerful blast Erin has fired has completely totaled a car and sent it back about twenty feet. However, the more powerful the blast, the more exhausting it is on Erin. Erin has found that these blasts are not only useful for their destructive power, but when fired from her feet, Erin can launch herself flying into the air.
  • Flight (kind of): She hasn’t yet figured out how to really fly, just yet, but Erin has found that she can slow down her falls or keep herself afloat for several moments by firing small, rapid blasts with her hands or feet. This gives her great maneuverability used in tandem with more powerful blasts - she can change direction incredibly rapidly and land the fall perfectly.
  • More lethal means: One of the darker aspects of her power is being able to affect the air within another person. Erin is powerless from any distance, but if she can get her hands or mouth to cover your mouth and nose, she can either compress the air within a person, causing suffocation, or rapidly decompress all of their air. Erin is strongly against rapid decompression, for the obvious gruesome reasons.

Note: As Erin and Robert share backgrounds, I’ve combined them both into Erin’s.

Personality: Erin is a woman of mixed morality. On one hand, she’s grown accustomed to the street life, doing whatever she has to to survive alone on the streets of Angel City. On the other, she believes in protecting the innocent from harm, going out of her way to fight violent crime within the city.

Beyond her morality, however, Erin is often described as an angel with some really rough edges. She smokes, but she volunteers at a preschool. She swears a lot, but kids love her. She occasionally has to steal to survive, but she also saves lives from gang violence or natural disasters. Erin is a bit of a paradox, as her personality contrasts her selflessness and strong sense of morality with her cynicism and sometimes violent anger issues.

Real Name: Robert Hernandez
Age: 23
Villain Name: Wrecker

Normal Appearance:

Villain Appearance: Like his younger sister, Robert does his villaining in whatever he happens to be wearing at the time.

Meta type: Overhuman
Description of Powers: Robert’s powers are a little more advanced than Erin’s, being that his manifested before hers. He shares all of her powers to a much stronger extent, allowing for greater power, range, and control in his air blasts. Robert has also mastered flight, a skill that Erin continues to struggle with. Overall, Robert is a much stronger and refined version of Erin.

Personality: Driven by anger stemming from a variety of sources, from his father to what he perceives as a police state in the poorer areas of Angel City, Robert is a pure destructive force. Ever since his first fight with his sister, Robert often finds himself going on rampages, stopped only by Erin every time. However, Robert clearly retains his sense of responsibility for her, as she remains the only person to stand directly against him during his rampages and live.

The King of Crime

Alignment: Villain
Real Name: Alexander "Alex" Lorne
Age: 35
Alias: The Watcher
Power Armour:

Meta type: Overhuman
Description of Powers: Alex is a technopath, able to interface with any technology and given time allowed control over it. Through physical contact (Or contact to an item in the same local network) he can interface with a device fully, and it is quicker for him to be able to gain control over the system. Wirelessly it takes more time, and currently he only has a range of ten metres.

He can also access the internet to use it to hack into systems however systems must have at least one terminal connected to the internet and his attempts can be traced to the point of origin. In terms of against security weaker "Personal" security systems are quite easy for him to overpower however more complicated systems are obviously harder for him to hack and quite often he will only be able to get temporary access before he is thrown out the system.

Nanites: Throughout his travels and various misdeeds Alex came across a lab developing small machines designed to heal peoples bodies internally, being able to cure any illness. However a problem with the devices was programming them to do the right thing. Alex did the "Wrong" thing and using his abilities and influence managed to steal these nanites and now they reside within his own body. This allows him to heal (As long as he has enough "Material" for the nanites to use), can increase his strength/endurance temporarily and make minor constructs (Such as a blade sticking out of his wrist). Given more he may be able to create larger more complex structures however after the lab was raide dthye lost all their funding and shut down.
Background: The Illegitimate son of the famous super-hero [REDACTED], he grew up his mother pushing his fathers legacy in his face. That was why he didn't know his dad, why he never saw him. People never believed it when he told them who his dad was. He grew stale, and bitter. His dad didn't even want to be part of his life, he lived in a hovel in the middle of downtown. He swore he would get to the top, one way or another he'd make his way up.

Always a thinker, and not a brute, in his early years he was occasionally bullied. However over time he began to swing it around. Psychological torment seemed to work equally as well, or blackmail (Though blackmail as a six year old isn't that impressive). Over time the bullies came to his side, even at a young age he amassed a following. Though as said it wasn't overly impressive but in hind sight it set the stepping stones for the rest of his life. He was good at planning, at making people hurt and getting them to do what he wanted. He just had to think about it, and then why do the heavy lifting? He could get others to do it for him. This continued up into the teen years, where another development happened.

Upon the age of 13 he began to notice a change, and not the kind that was simply related to puberty. He gained a proficiency for computers. Never being the smartest in the class he was surprised at first, though playing it smart he managed to tone it down. Made it less obvious in his classes. He didn't want anyone to find out he was a meta, he wanted to slip through the system. This was his ticket, this was his ticket to a better life. He could gather the dirt on anyone at school, and get them to do what he wanted. Though he'd need an online alias, that couldn't be traced back to him. This was when he became the Watcher. At thirteen years old.

Fast forward a few years, and he was out of school and working for a living. Though not in the way his mum wanted. He was merely 18, and he was already working his way into the crime world in a big way. He didn't join the bottom of the pile, no. He started his own. Initially it was just him, a couple of scores. Using his technopathy to get in and out unnoticed. He wouldn't appear in cameras, he was a ghost. He could get in and out in minutes, always knew where the police where and when they were coming and where the hidden cameras were, when silent alarms went off. Eventually a person doing this solo gathered attention, slowly the Watcher gained more and more power. Though with power came suspicion, he moved him and his mum into the centre of the city where she was content with being able to see the location where his dad lived. He just scoffed at the prospect.

This was when he started the Lorne Corporation, at the forefront of software development and engineering. Programming a lot of it himself he intentionally made it hard to crack, even for him with his abilities and as he made it using his abilities that made it even harder for anyone else to get in. The company began raking in thousands, all the while Alex was expanding his own kingdom in the foundations of the city. Police got evidence on the gangs he wanted rid off, couldn't find any on the ones that were allied to him. It wasn't long until he controlled the entire city, buying the tower owned by his fathers company and moving in. His father oblivious to the relation.

For the next stage of his life he kept expanding his reign over nearby cities, and stretching out ever further. However not getting overly ambitious, and instead of actively moving into other states he merely had people there as a means of communication out into some of the bigger international syndacites. Eventually of course one of the more Technological adept "Superheroes" Thunderbolt found out who Alex was, and what he was doing. The battle was... interesting. However eventually Thunderbolt strayed too close, and Alex got in contact, and control, of the suit cutting off its life support suffocating Thunderbolt in a coffin of his own making.

Before however Thunderbolt "Officially" disappeared he would be seen once more. Breaking into a nearby facility, one developing nanites. As the company had refused Alex' attempt at officially buying them over he felt it was the best way for the old hero to go out, by comitting a crime. Somewhat poetic in his mind. For the past six months he hasn't been expanding. However he has been making sure the foundations of his kingdom are nice and strong. There seems to be another surge of Metas appearing, and as such he wants to be sure he can weather the storm.
Personality: Manipulative, controlling. However he's also cool under pressure if things don't go his way, and don't let the relaxed attitude fool you. He has a plan for everything.
Planned Arcs:
-King of the Hill: Being on top has it's perks, but you always have to watch your back and what's going on behind the scenes.
-Return of Thunderbolt?: The armours the same, but different. Who could this imposter be? Where has he been for the past six month and why has he turned to a life of crime? (With Alex in control of the suit)
-Enemy of my Enemy: Rivalries exist in the underworld, however with a surplus of heroes likely even Villains will need to unite

(These of course can run concurrently or stop/start depending on your GM planned stories/events)

Secret identity known to public?: No
City of residence: Angel City: However has minor operations and connections in multiple cities, however he also has substantial operations in Valle Dorado and Los Vascos and quite often moves between the three.

Alignment: Hero
Real Name: Entwistle, Maximilian “Max”
Age: 26
Superhero Name: Phenomenon
Normal Appearance:

Superhero Appearance:

Meta type: Overhuman,
Description of Powers: Max has well developed telekinetic powers. He's able to lift, move and crush objects with the power of his mind. Also he can use his telekinetic powers to influence his own body and movements granting him increases fysical strength, speed and the ability to fly.

His telekinetic influence is limited to solid objects. Gas, fluids and energy cannot be manipulated by Maximilian. Also Maximilian must be aware of the objects location and it must be within 35 feet of him in order to be in manipulation range. Kinetic energy applied to an object will remain beyond the distance of his manipulation range.

Background: Maximilian is born the son of the famous superhero know as The Guardian. As son of a famous superhero it was out of the question that Max would walk any different path. A normal life and career would always be out of the question for Maximilian as far as his father was concerned. The path of protecting the innocent was already decided for Max before he was even born.

The Guardian started to train his son from a very young age. Helping him develop his inborn telekinetic powers that run through his family and teach him the essential ethics needed for being a superhero. All of Max's free time was dedicated by his father to train him to become the best superhero he could be without regard for Max own personal interests. The only thing that mattered to his father that his son would one day put on the cloak of the Guardian and continue to protect the innocent.

Max had never any interest in the superhero business. Growing tired of his father forcing a path upon him he did not want he ran away from home and left Valle Dorado for Angel City. With the help of some friends he started his own bar and concert Venue The Sonic Storm 8 years ago.
Personality: Max is generally a cheerful guy who loves music and drinking beer. He's loves freedom and can be stubborn about his own path. Once he's put his mind into something he won't let it go. Back in the past he tended to be indifferent about the darkness in the world. Making out that is was not his job to solve other people's misery and protect the innocent from harm. After withnissing the tremendous evil first hand in his own bar without doing anything about it he has changed his way. After all, the greatest evil is the indifference of good men.

Origin Story: Maximilian never saw the superhero business as something that was his responsibility even though he descended from a long line of meta-humans fighting for the good of the people. For him, the typical superhero is the person that is never there for his family, leaving them at home while they protect the rest of the world. And when they were home, they would spend all their time training and developing his own skills. Never once his father took him to the park or zoo. For him, the superhero was the person that neglected those who where closest to him in favor of the masses.

Max decided that he never wanted to become a person like his father and severed all ties to his family. In order to make a living he followed his passion and started a concert hall and bar. Living the life of sex, drugs and rock & roll was more of his style. And yet during this life he got confronted with the true evil of the world. During one of the concerts a fan went berserk after being being turned down by a lady. He grabbed a knife and started stabbing around. Max just stood there as panic erupted in the crowd. Three people died that night and more where wounded as Max failed to act. Struck by guilt Max decided that he could no longer look the other way. He finely decided to take up his destiny.

Alignment: Hero

Real Name: Casey Nakamura

Age: 17

Superhero Name: Galaxion

Normal Appearance: "This is my home, and I will protect it. Let me show you the strength of my resolve."

Superhero Appearance: "This isn't just my strength. It's the strength of my ancestors."

Meta type: Neohuman

Description of Powers: Casey has the ability to tap into an inherent power source within his body, known among his family as "the Mark" and "the Radiance." Unbeknownst to them, this power is actually a dormant, aeons-old being of immense cosmic power, ingrained in Casey's genetic code. By absorbing cosmic radiation (most usually solar photons), Casey can activate this power, transforming himself into various forms with advanced abilities. Less advanced forms consume less of Casey's reserves of power, and can be maintained passively for greater spans of time, though using more powerful abilities will also drain his power. Each transformation takes a period of time to complete relative to the level of the from, and disruptions of Casey's transformation can result in him reverting to his human form. In any of his transformed states, Casey has a significant vulnerability to magical and psionic attacks, as their damage to him seems to be aggravated by the alien power he wields.

Background: Casey is but the latest of a long lineage of metahumans, dating back thousands of years. Tracing their roots back to ancient Lebanon, their bloodline has carried through many ages and ethnicities. As such, Casey is of extremely mixed heritage, though he mostly identifies as Irish/Japanese-American. His mother was the previous bearer of the Mark, and as such, she lost her powers when she gave birth to Casey. The obvious transition of the Mark down the generational line heralded the arrival of the inheritor of the cosmic power of the radiance. However, not all were pleased; Casey's older brother, Sean, who had been passed over by the Mark, was intensely jealous of his younger brother, and tormented him throughout their youth.

Casey was raised from an early age to play the role of a righteous warrior, and was schooled in ethics and the history of his bloodline throughout the ages. He was trained intensely in combatives, including the art of swordsmanship, with both a single blade and dual swords. Essentially groomed to become a superhero by his family, Casey feels a great deal of pressure from the expectations for him to live up to his family's legacy, but his genuine desire to help others makes the path of the hero an easier one to follow.

Personality: As a civilian, Casey is charming and cheerful, with a playful, easygoing personality. He is very competitive, and loves to push himself to his limits. He makes friends easily, and is quick to forgive slights against him with a joke and a smile. However, when assuming his role as Galaxion (and in related affairs with his family), he takes on a far more serious demeanor. Evil must be rooted out and punished by all means, and the innocent must be protected at any cost. While he is against the idea of vengeance, he believes in firm and fair justice, and is more than willing to dole it out. A technical pacifist, Casey refuses to kill his opponents, seeking out methods of incapacitating them non-lethally, even when it would be far more difficult or dangerous to do so.

Origin Story: Galaxion made his debut some six months ago, fighting off a criminal organization known as the Star Crusade; thugs and gangsters hired by the wealthy elite to horde alien technology. Galaxion is an uncommonly-seen hero, only appearing to take on threats that are deemed worth of the application of his considerable power. Galaxion has so far mostly fought alone, but he is not adverse to team-ups with other heroes.

Secret identity known to public?: Negative.
