Well in the long run I plan to have my mech be like a giant armored radar/stealth unit. Dropping in behind enemy lines and giving my team a view of everything that the enemy wants to hide. So in a sense like the other stealth mecha in play but from a distance and sneaky

I think it would be good to have a recon type in the team.

Also, as everyone launches, take a moment to christen your cog, and let the catapult operator and the rest of the bridge know what you want your cog to be called from now on.

it'll ultimately be up to our friendly neighborhood GM's discretion about the borderline terrorist bit, but @Tricheus' character is a Quantum bounty hunter.

provided they're still mentally stable enough to pilot a cog and operate within the military environment, I'd say you should be fine with that.

again, I wouldn't go ahead with anything without @Stern Algorithm's blessing.

Yeah, basically, what @baskets said, we already have a Quantum bounty hunter. As for being a terrorist/religious fanatic, I'd like everyone to be on the same team. Since 'terrorist' is such a poorly-defined term anyways, let's just focus on the religious fanatic part.

There actually is a Quantum 'religion' that has room for fanaticism: "The Perfect Machine Ideology". The ideology basically states that 'evil' comes from a survival/Darwinian/'animal' nature and that to be 'good' one has to transcend that base nature, making machines, AKA Quantums idea sources of good, as long as they can abandon their 'human' weaknesses. Most Quantums believe in the Ideology to varying degrees, for example, the lance leader, Pharazon believes that the Perfect Machine embodies 'purity of the mind' and has chosen to suppress their emotions as well as make themself androgynous as Pharazon believes that gender is a physical aspect that has too much 'emotion' attached to it. The captain of the Destiny Squadron who I have yet to mention has chosen a robot-looking body instead of a human-looking one believing more in the 'physical perfection' of the machine body.

So in an ideology like this, one fanatic extreme would consider all humans as evil or inferior, or something like that.

Well when I first thought of the term "terrorist" I was thinking something like a Robin Hood scenario...he's actually a good guy but some government official who didn't like something about him (i.e. his religious views) and labelled him such trying to get him removed from the situation as it were

Horizon politics doesn't really work like that, and even if it did, they would never let someone like that become a test-pilot for a secret government project. If your character was labeled as a 'terrorist' by one of the other nations (FAS or the Ascendancy) and sought refuge with Horizon, that would work.

Ok lets review:

1) religious fanatic (humans bad)
2) labeled terrorist by other nation (thinking Ascendancy)
3) sought refuge in horizon became pilot

Got it. Basic plan is to have him be well versed in cyber-warfare and became hostile towards humans and played it on his quest for "The Perfect Machine". Sound good?

"I search for the answers that everyone wants but cannot obtain. I have that answer."

Name:-Invictus KNT (pronounced Knight)

Age:-30 (Most of his body is mechanical so he has no apparant age)

Race:-Quantum

Citizenship:-Horizon

Personality:-Invictus is a very reserved individual keeping a great deal of his thoughts and opinions to himself. His particular hatred of all human-kind leaves him seeming very aggressive and hostile towards any he deems "unworthy to be amongst machines". His unwavering faith in finding the "Perfect Machine" almost makes him seem comperable to the zealots in human culture.

History:
Invictus was created some thirty odd years ago by a pair of Ascended's that sought to answer a question that was posed by Quantam's, is there a Perfect Machine. Invictus' task was a simple one, to discover if it was possible for to achive what the Quantam's belived to be the truth of thier culture.

After a decade of searching, Invictus came to the conclusion that the only thing that was stopping the Quantams from obtaining "Perfection" was humanity but within that observation came the terrifying truth. If the humans created the Quantam race...then that made the Quantam's their own limitations. It was then that Invictus dedicated his life to the eradication of humanity.

Over the next twenty years Invictus became a master of cybernetic warfare and gurellia warfare preying upon the higher up of human society, not discriminating between the Ascended or Wildtype. With such a lifestyle Invictus was quickly labeled a religous terrorist and was sought after to be brought in in the name of justice. As he became more and more infamous, Invictus knew that he had to escape and become invisible taking the first flight to Horizon. Once there he became enlisted to test pilot a COG and has been waiting for the oppertunity test his skills.

Theme Song:-Walk Away: Five Finger Deathpunch

Cog:-the Mobile Armored Navigational and Tactical Insertion Suit (or MANTIS)

Physical Description:

Tactical role:

... Can I just ask why a known anti-human terrorist would be allowed on a team which was put together partially by humans and has humans in it? ^^;

As part of him gaining refuge in horizon he had to become a test pilot of the COG and is under strict orders that if he intends to do anything that would jeopardize the mission (like physically maiming or killing any human) he will be sent to the nearest embassy. Plus I figured that it would add some good dynamics to have a human hating robot on the same team as a self righteous human.

By the way that's part of what made me interested was reading Chie...that type of character is always my favorite in animes

It's actually been outlawed for decades for anyone other than a Quantum to build a Quantum as part of the treaty that was signed for the three nations to have a cease-fire. So you could either change that and make it so Quantums in the Ascendancy built Invictus, or you can keep it, but that would mean Invictus' very existence is be considered an act of war on the part of the Ascendancy for breaching the treaty.

Also, I think I might have misconveyed the Horizon stance on humans. While the "Perfect machine" ideology is fairly common among Quantums in Horizon, a vast majority follow it in a very moderate sense. most feel that following it will lead to coexistence with humans, and that that is something desirable. The Horizon government has no laws that would hurt or disadvantage humans, and though they are wary to let them hold political office, they do not prevent humans from those positions. Many Quantum believe that history has demonstrated humanity's inability to govern without conflict. I guess what I'm saying is Invictus' beliefs would be considered fringe by almost everyone he'll meet.

Lastly, for now, please include some more details on what your cog can cloak against. For example, Askalaphos, the other cloaking cog, currently has an electronic-countermeasures-based cloaking, meaning that it jams radars and cameras, but is not cloaked to visual inspection. I like the cogs cyberwarfare ability, and I think you should make that your main focus as you 'level up'.

So if I left it like it was would that mean that everyone on the team would be almost required to turn him in?

No. It means that Horizon is offering you sanctuary and may use you as justification for open war against the Ascendancy for violating Quantum rights.
