@Dynamo Frokane
Yes, there's still room for those who have shown interest beforehand.

This RP is certainly getting traction very quickly. How many people before we begin?

Personally, I think we could go ahead and start soon. Eight characters is plenty, and any more than that starts to get a bit troublesome to manage, in my experience.

The limit will be 10, my character not included. I'm currently working on the IC, so there's not going to be much more waiting.

From the first post on this thread:
4. Military rules apply (no possession of weaponry or sharp objects while in the base, superiors must be greeted with sir or their respective rank and so on...)

The 'greeting superiors with "sir"' thing brings up the question of what rank our characters are. I'd imagine we are kinda outside the normal chain of command, being minors and all, but that still leaves the questions of who do we salute and who can give us orders (and conversely if we can order anybody else around). Or does this fall under "Will be explained IC when we start", along with listing other Military Rules that apply to us?

The pilots have been given the rank of Cadet for PR purposes, but in reality they are government property handled primarily by scientists; to put it another way, they are guinea pigs given pilot training. There will be a Lieutenant Ritsu assigned to give the pilots proper squad training and oversee them during their stay at the base, but in reality the one in charge of them will be Professor Lorenzo and his scientist underlings. He is the one who is the mind behind the Framewerk Project, and the lead designer for the Frames. While they are technically not part of the military, they still have to abide by the same rules as the armed forces do. If you've seen NGE it's basically the same thing.

@AriamisI have never seen NGE but I am getting heavy hints that I should at least read a the wikipedia page for it.

I seriously recommend you watch it without spoiling yourself. There's a reason it changed the mecha genre.

@Ariamis I was a bit too young for the show when it aired, but I can't deny how iconic it is. Right now I am just waiting with baited breath for the IC

I had a thought, considering the chance for negative synchro to occur. I have to wonder which Framewerk would prove the most dangerous should that situation occur, and I'm curious to see what everyone thinks on the matter, as to which of our current group of Framewerks would be the most of a problem in the case of negative synchro.

On that note, did I show up at a bad time? -___-'

Sorry LHG but after what happened in the other RP, I figured I'd peek at what other RP's you were in and this mecha one caught my eye. Despite the "young" aged pilots and the "grim" outlook on the story, I'd like to join if it's not too late.

And I'm sorry for following you again LHG.

Man shit happens. I don't really mind! Guess I'm not that good as a GM and just need to take it slower, huh?

Name: Miles Vayne
Appearance:
Age: 16
Personality: Miles is an angry, focused pilot. He has little patience for others and will complain at those who cant keep up with him. He finds it hard to take orders from those who sees cant pilot as well as he can, which destroys a lot of trust very early on.
Motive to live: Miles fights because he is good at it. He has little interest in the politics or the global confilicts around him, he just wishes to pilot and do it well and often.
Background: Even before the Cruxi attack, Miles was cold and competetive, his only hobby was to build hyper powerful jet bikes and take part in illegal races across the colony. The races were exciting, but Miles craved a competition a little more intense. The Cruxi attack madeMiles very angry, mainy because he felt like his childhood and by extension his street races were taken away from him. The other teens who he would race with were all dead. Miles jumped at the chance to get in a framework and become good at something where he can find the best comepetition.
Notable Deaths: His Parents, Rodney and Lilac Vayne were killed in an explosion when he was 12.

Nah your a good GM. Just people just suddenly dropped out. Even so, you'll get better. Heck, at least you tried. I've forum RPed for quite awhile now but never had the nerve to try my hand at hosting or GMing an RP. My other problem is that I'm way too picky with what I like or used to. Least you tried is all I'm saying.

As far as I have seen, its familiarity and expectation. For example: Archer, a quadruped design I would have gone with if Rose had been denied, I think would move like a tank. If the driver was previously a tank operator, it would be easy to do with maximum synchro but someone without even a drivers license would loose their mind trying to figure it all out.

And this was my 'go to' big robot influence. It later got a big boost from 'Big O'

I'm gonna agree here. I would not be surprised by a low starting synchro rate for the Archer, though I hope that isn't the case. That being said, I think the designation of "Most Dangerous" would heavily depend on the match-up. The ones that would be able to mess with the Archer the most would be the melee Framewerks, as they exploit the Archer's major weakness.

My main Mecha influences are Gundam (NGE was a bit before my time), and Metal Gear Solid.

Oh! I thought it meant which framewerk had the hardest time synchronizing, not who was the mostbadassif someone went nuts. Then its just a rock-paper-scissors thing.
