Fate has a strange way of working sometimes: One second you're so certain that something is about to occur, and that nothing you can do can change it, and then the universe just seems to pick up on that feeling and flip the script entirely. No one knew this better than Dimitri, who just a few moments ago was certain he was about to die. At least, he was certain until not one, but three different people came to his aid. The first was the guy that was in front of him earlier, a normal enough guy that Dimitri couldn't help but respect for having the guts to step back into the store and help out when he could have just left. The next two where a bit different to say the least: The assistant woman bursted into the shop far faster than he could track with his eyes, though the vibrating in his jaw had allowed him to at least have a vague idea of the general direction she'd moved in, the next person however, seemed to either be heavily into comic conventions, or was a bonafide hero.

With the threat finally eliminated Dimitri slumped down onto his hands and knees, feeling the adrenaline drain out of him along with his energy and strength. A few of the store's patrons came to help him up, others took pictures of him and the other heroes of the day for their various social media websites, and some simply stood around and whispered amongst each other as they observed the group. "Hey, you alright there man? Come on, let's get you up" "Your face is bleeding, they didn't manage to shoot you anywhere else, did they? Someone grab a bandage.", "You guys see him deck that dude? And what was with that crazy ass wrestling move? I ain't never seen someone that flexible before. How'd you do all that, man? You some kinda weight lifting gymnast or some shit?". Dimitri remained speechless as he was helped back onto his feet, he felt like puking as the realization of how close he'd been to dying hit him. Someone handed him a bandage which he took with a small nod before applying it to his face, though the action was more subconscious than anything as his mind was elsewhere. The group around him seemed to pick up on his lack of focus and gave him some room to breathe as they went to either help up Barclay or gawk at the others. 'How'd you do all that, man?', Those words rang in his head repeatedly, 'How....how did I do all of that?I was never that strong, fast, or flexible. Especially flexible. Given the anatomy of the human body my spine should be broken or at the very least cracked in about three different places. What the hell is happening to me?'.

Barclay straightened, the pain from having his breath knocked out of him having finally subsided. He looked around, noticing camera phones, and hid his face. The last thing he needed was publicity. He headed for the door and turned right, jogging down the block.

Damn it! I shouldn't have gotten involved. I was barely even helpful... He thought to himself as he jumped onto the back of a bus. It had been a stupid move on his part, and now there were people who actually could do things. That one guy was taking the men apart with ease. He'd have handled them easily if they had been unarmed. And that fast girl. She must know her way around a gun. Either that or she had some kind of ability like him. He hopped off the bus and walked over to a construction yard, unseen. He cut through to the subway line on the other side and sat on a bench to think.

No, there's nothing too special about me. He told himself. And what about the last guy? In a trench coat. He sure looked the part, but Barclay hadn't seen what he could do. But he was sure he would. With that many cameras the media would have a heyday.

Meanwhile, back at the coffeeshop...

A news van that had been stuck in some slow traffic took advantage of the chaos that had unfolded, a dark-haired woman with thin hazel eyes got out, wearing a black skirt and a jacket in a light shade of purple got out, her cameraman following her with a camera already rolling.

"This is Jamie Huong of Channel 3 News, standing outside of a local coffeeshop here on 58th in downtown Alden. It appears that several masked men entered the store, brandishing guns and demanding money. Unbeknownst to them, the shop was being enjoyed by several people who it seems are now being hailed as heroes."

As she spoke, she walked up to the coffeeshop, tapping David on his shoulder. "Hi, Jamie Huong, Channel 3 News. Can you tell me who you are and what happened here?" She asked, putting the microphone up to him. The cameraman focused on David.

He smiled when he made it to town hall without a problem. Everyone see occupied with something at one of the coffee shops. Which worked right into his plan. It was funny that someone had distracted the heros for him. He made himself invisible before making his way into the city hall. He stopped in what he estimated was the middle of the building. He sat the bomb down and walked away. Once he exited the building he set off the bomb coloring the room green and orange.

David froze as a newsreporter confronted him and started asking him questions. He didnt know what to say at first. He said "Umm well from what I can tell, these men attempted to rob this coffee shop. Thankfully someone took their guns before I arrived, and I came to help. As to who I am....Im just a man who wnats to help. I want to help this city be rid of crime. And will do all I can to do so." He smiles but was stil nervous.

Dimitri let out a small sigh as he came out of his daze, his brain failing to come up with an answer for what he'd just done. A beeping on his wrist caused the man to jump a bit from surprise before he realized that it was his wrist watch's alarm going off. "Ah damn, so much for the early train. At least I can still catch the regular one." He muttered as he pulled himself from his seat and exited the cafe. It took a bit of work to get around the crowd of curious passerby's and news reporters, but he managed to emerge with both him and his food -sans the hot tea- intact. From there, Dimitri began to jog again, however this time things felt a bit different. Perhaps it was due to the adrenaline spike he'd experienced earlier still leaving him with lingering effects, but Dimitri felt as though he could see and feel the slightest movements from anyone within his immediate vicinity. He began to pick up the pace, weaving through the crowds with a combination of reflexes and contortion, completely unaware once more about how this may have looked to someone else.

To the people that he weaved around, Dimitri was a blur, still easily visible to the human eye, but with the way he moved it was hard to keep track of him for very long. His vision tunneled as he focused on moving ahead, quicker and quicker until- *HONK HOOOONK*. Dimitri's head snapped to the left as he realized that he'd wandered into the street while the cross walk was inaccessible. He didn't have time to consider his actions, his body seemed to move for him, launching him into the air with a powerful jump in time to avoid being ran into by a car. Dimitri cursed as he lost a grip on his bag of food, but this was almost forgotten as he landed on his feet. A rustling to his left caused Dimitri to dart his hand out to grab his food as it fell. For the lucky man, the traffic signal turned before he was forced to jump out of the way of another car, but that didn't keep the driver from hurling insults from behind the wheel. He began to respond, but froze when he realized no one else was moving onto the crosswalk, rather, they stood on the curb and stared at him as though he'd grown a second head.

Dimitri stared back and began to open and close his mouth in an attempt to find something to explain what he'd done, "Ahahaha...those parkour lessons really do wonders, huh?" he said nervously before mentally slapping himself. He didn't know how to preform parkour, he didn't even understand the appeal of parkour, flinging oneself off of a building was downright stupid to him. Still, the excuse seemed to work as people slowly entered the street to get across. Dimitri moved with the crowd, though once more he had to wonder what the hell was happening to him.

Katherin shook her head. She didn't know what was going on but it seemed to be over now. She was going to have to work on a way to get to scenes faster. But first she needed a disguise. She didn't know a lot about superheroes. But she did know that they didn't flash their identities. They had two. One for their super life and one for the regular life. Her regular life was well established. Which meant it was time to sit down and work on building her superhero identity. Which meant she needed to find someone to make her a costume.

Jamie nodded at David's answer. "Just a man? Do you have a name?" She noticed Dmitri hurry past her, and frowned, glad that the cameraman was focused on David. Once he had answered she moved on to Julia. She smiled and introduced herself again, and sized her up. "Jamie, Huong, Channel 3 News. Can you tell me what happened here? These men were armed. How were they subdued so quickly?" The cameraman shifted to Julia, and Jamie took the moment to look around the coffeeshop. It was clearing out now, and there were less people around to be interviewed.

He needed a hide out. Some place in the center of town. He decided that he would explore the city and see what appealed to him. He wanted something classy. He was going to be famous after all. Not just any place would do. It had to be something that would stand out. Something no one would ever expect was the home of an villain.

Katherin wondered the streets. She wanted to practice holding her ability in. She needed to be able to be around them without freezing them. And at the moment that was touch and go. She couldnt allow herself to stay in one place too long. The longer she was still the more her ice spread. Luckily she lived outside of town so she wasnt an immediate threat to anyone. Atleast as long as she didnt stop moving while she was in town.
