Sodalite watched in awe as the two gems fused together to create one greater being. She was of no use in helping in the fight against the redeye, but quickly did her best to run after Emerald's gem as it landed on the beach. The gravitational pull was still difficult to work against, but luckily she was able to use her weapons to keep her down on the ground long roung to pick up the green gem and cradle it in one of her arms.

Aquamarine felt herself be tossed out of the fusion with Spinel, causing her to be a bit dazed for a second as she laid on the ground. She jolted up quickly, looking to see if they had managed to do anything with their last hit. Instead, she was met with being blown back with the other gems as a large portion of Mohs Town non-residential districts was destroyed by the Red Eye's laser. It slowly made its way back into the sky, the damage left in the wake of the attack. She could only hope that Johnny listened to her and was able to get out with most of the people.

Aqua shakily stood, the horror of the aftermath making her feel like this had been all her fault. Spinel and herself hadn't been ready to fuse without knowing what would make them unstable and since the other hadn't felt anger, it had to have been something Aquamarine did that was a weakness for the other half of Kyanite. "Is everyone alright? I'm so sorry..." she asked, looking around to see that Emerald was in his gem and she was afraid of what the others looked like.

Spinel hit the ground with as much of a thud that someone as light as her could. She looked up with dismay at the destruction that happened, because she and Aquamarine weren't strong enough. Dismay was one word, but she wasn't really sure what she was feeling. The flood of emotions she felt just before Kyanite fell apart were like nothing she'd ever felt before. Indeed, she may very well have gone her whole life without ever experienced something like what she'd just felt, and she would have been fine with that.

Did... we fail because of me? She couldn't help but feel that they might have succeeded if she'd been a little stronger. Maybe if she'd put more on the line, been willing to offer more of herself up than simply let Aquamarine take full control. The feeling that she'd failed both her friends and the people living in the town hit her hard, nothing she'd been through so far in her life had prepared her for this. She became invisible. She didn't try to run, and she knew in the back of her mind that she would end up helping Aqua, but right now she didn't want to be seen.

Giant eyeball, check, people combining into one giant person, double check, laser destroying part of a town, majorly check. Amber could barely process what was going on, first he woke up in this random place and was told that he was apparently stuffed into his own gem. Next out of no where a massive flying eye appeared in the sky, then two of the Gems fused into this giant woman who then started to fire at the eye. Last but not least the eye fired some kind of laser that decimated part of the town, the blast knocking the Gems every which way. Amber himself was knocked back into a tree, most of the poor things branches snapping under the Gem's weight. "Oww..." He said flatly

Zircon watched the two gems fuse and shoot their ice arrows at the Red Eye, mesmerized in a way. It was only until she looked up to the big Red Eye from above when she saw the...bright...light...thing..? Oh wait. That's a giant laser. That's coming...right this way?! Out of reaction Zircon jumped backwards from where the laser was going to hit while putting her arms in front of her face in an X-position. However it didn't matter how much distance she got because she still got sent back flying backwards, dropping the two weapons in which she forgot she was holding. One weapon fell straight to the ground and one went flipping in the air when Zircon landed on her back skidding backward on the ground. When her skidding came to a stop she slowly took her arms away from her wincing face. Her sights were to the sky above her, and when she opened her eyes a little more she would see the weapon(sword) that had went flipping in the air coming down right at her. Zircon had to think fast. She widened her eyes before sitting up a little bit but only to the point where her shoulder blades were off the ground as if doing a sit-up, and then out of reaction she grabbed the blade of the weapon with both of her bare hands as it came down. Zircon went still, holding the weapon that was inches away from piercing her abdomen. Zircon lightly panted before making a heavy sigh of relief and plopping her head back on the ground and gently tossing the weapon to the side, and then just lied there with her arms spread out. She'll get up soon. She just needs to collect herself for a couple seconds.

If the already cracking branch, the increased pull of the Red Eye, and the impact of the laser which it shot weren't enough to send the tiny gem flying, which she by some miracle had avoided up until this point, then the giant gem crashing into the tree due to said impact would invariably to do the trick. And surely enough, it did. The branch of which Evenkite clung to and the neighboring branches came crashing down, and with the force of Amber and the lasers' impact combined, she was surprised the tree itself didn't follow suit. For that matter, neither did Evenkite. Because she didn't simply fall down. Oh no. That'd be too good for her. Instead, with both her light frame and the forced of both impacts working against her, she was flung away before she could even react, soaring away like some deformed bird, off to god knows where. Other than the faint and distant sound of what seemed to be yet more snapping branches, there was no sign that she had even landed at all.

Johnny peeled out of there as soon as he could, Aquamarine's words only spurring him on. The ride was bumpy, not only was the path uneven but it seemed that gravity itself was fluctuating. However it seemed his Van was a little too heavy than the branches and shingles that flew off. The little things in his Van? Not so much. The back of the Van had become a minefield as things not strapped down began to float around before becoming projectiles when the Van bucked. Unfortunately for Johnny he found this out when a sizable rock in his collection was catapulted into the side of his head. For a moment the Van swerved as Johnny saw stars, a warm felling trickling down the side of his head as he pushed through.

It wasn't long before Johnny reached the center of town where the local police and mayor gad things pretty under control already. "Well, who'd of thought." Johnny thought to himself. Instead of being the yeller, Johnny instead began to help people get out of town as the giant eye got closer. After several minutes most of everyone was either in a car or running away. Johnny himself had just helped a family pack up before he planned on bailing. Then the laser hit. The shockwave shattered glass all around town before everything in the air came crashing down, one of them being an old fashioned hotdog stand.

The propane within exploded, turning the portable goods stand into a deadly bomb. Through the good grace of God or some other deity Johnny was not hit by any shrapnel, only the ball of fire that came from it. It layed him flat out and the only thought that passed through his head as the blackness of unconsciousness took him was how much this was going to hurt in the morning.

Ever since the Redeye had made it's way into the town's line of sight, Mayor Coss had been doing his best with the Mohs Police force to evacuate the city. He had heard the absurd stories of a large red death beam sphere that attacked a little city in Maine, but didn't believe it. His son had believed it, and followed some blogger from the aforementioned city. Chuck didn't believe it until now.

It was brief, but Mayor Coss caught a glimpse of a young man helping a family just before the Redeye shot it's laser. He was blasted away from his original position, and bits of shrapnel had cut into his suit, even causing him to bleed a little, but he was moderately okay. He wasn't knocked unconscious, and began to look for anyone who could have been more damaged than he was. The fire had hit him only a little, and the man had spent several minutes laying in pain before slowly rising. It hurt quite a bit, but he couldn't afford to lay down and let the pain consume him.

He had found the young man that he had seen earlier, and picked him put, slinging him over his shoulder and carrying him to safety. He seemed to have been hit bad from the fire, and needed care. He knew where the medical vehicles and hospital were, but he had to rely on whatever he could find at the moment.

Spinel had had a few moments to collect herself at this point, and she decided that was enough. The last thing she wanted to do was interact with anyone right now, but she had a job to do, and she thought Aquamarine at least deserved an answer. She appeared and timidly said "I-I'm not hurt too badly. I'm not sure that the others are doing as well as we are, perhaps we should try to help them before we move on?"

Amber was still in his dazed state mumbling to himself. "This bloody day... stupide tin cans... crumby flying eye... lasers blasting me into trees...." He would of continued if he hadn't notice the small dot that was flying through the air. The Gem's first thought was that more trouble was descending from the sky, but after a moment he realized it was something flying away, or rather someone. "Bloody Hell!" Amber exclaimed as he pulled himself out of the now severely bent tree and began to bolt after the small Gem that he caused to go soaring. The lumbering Gem clumsily chased after Eve, tripping more than a few times, holding his hands out in anticipation for the smaller Gem's descent. "Oi lass don't worry, I've got yo'."

Aquamarine looked over at Spinel, moving herself so that she could look straight in the others eyes as if trying to read them. "It wasn't your fault what happened here. I must have done something that caused a reaction that made us defuse. You did amazingly well and if you need to talk about it, I am here. It will need to wait for now since the others might need my help but you are not in this alone." she gave a light squeeze of the white gems shoulder before making her way to her other teammates. She moved in the general direction of where the others were, trying to spot them all but coming up one short which caused her to panic. "Where is Eve?!", Aqua asked worriedly, looking all about till she heard Amber exclaim 'Bloody Hell' quite loudly. She looked into the direction he was moving, trying to see what he had spotting when her eyes went wide in shock at the soaring gem. She stood on baited breath, hoping that Amber caught Evenkite but getting ready to do the same if the need arose.

Once Evenkite was safe, she checked on the others individually, noticing that most of them were a little roughed up at being tossed but none seemed to be damaged too bad which cause her to be thankful. Zircon was resting on the ground, seemingly fine and just taking a few moments for herself. Howlite seemed to be in the same area Amber had landed since she had hid herself behind the other so the blast landed them as such. Amber looked alright, just confused since too much had happened too fast after his regeneration and now Evenkite was fine too even with her floating misadventure. Sodalite was still holding onto Emerald's gem, having protected it from the harm of the objects in the air after the blast hit. Aquarmarine knelt next to Sodalite, carefully looking over Emerald's gem to make sure no cracks were found and relieved when none seemed to be found. "We should all check on the town and if possible find somewhere to settle down. When Emerald has reformed, we need to talk about everything. I will answer as many questions as I can."

"That sounds like as reliable a plan as any, I'll leave as soon as everyone else is ready to." Spinel had collected herself by now, thankfully she was relatively good at that. She put her emotions away and prepared to help her friends to safety. She approached Zircon. "Ah, hello, Unassuming Black Gem, are you well?" She sort of half walked away but kept her attention focused on Zircon. She looked at Howlite and said "And you, Obedient Gray? Have you been hurt?"

As Zircon laid there on the ground she took a deep breath in her way of pulling herself together from almost getting stabbed by a flipping, falling sword from above. She was going to close her eyes until she heard the clear gem's voice and looked up to her from where she was instead. Zircon nods, "Y-Yea yea I'm alright.." Zircon sits up straight as she believes she is good to go. She should get up either way just so it doesn't look like she's lazing around or anything, because if it is anything she doesn't want to do right now is laze around. Zircon ran a hand through her jet black hair, "Just had a real close call is all, I'll be good though." She half-leaped up to her feet before dusting off her long jacket a bit. Zircon looked towards Spinel and Howlite, "And yourselves?"

Howlite had been thrown away from amber after the blast and was slammed into a near by slab of stone which had cracked at the sheer force of the hit. After the shockwave ended she slowly pulled herself out of the indent her body had made and and smiled glad that it was over, then began checking herself over. finally ending the check with looking at her gem, when she saw it the smile stayed but her eyes became wide as she touched the crack running through her gem almost bisecting it. "Hey what does it mean if my gem is... Cracked?" She asks visibly trying to keep hysteria out of her voice, suddenly she started laughing. The laughing started quiet at first but grew almost madman like, in the back of howlite's mind she was asking one sane question Why am I laughing?. As she laughed her voice began to change until it mimicked spinel's though she had no control over it. 'What's wrong with me?' she thought as she realized she had sat down with her hands over her face still having a laughing fit over nothing but couldn't do anything. She just sat there as her voice changed over and over again even switching to amber's at one point but always laughing.

"I'm doing well, thank you." Spinel told Zircon. She remembered Zircon's thumbs up gesture from earlier, and mimicked it now, assuming it meant something good. She then looked at Howlite with some manner of concern. "I'm not completely sure what that means, but my best guess is nothing good. Maybe you should settle down? Just try not to do too much at once, okay?"

Aquamarine's attention snapped to Howlite, the question still ringing in her ears before quickly standing and moving to the other gems side. She could tell the crack had to be pretty bad from the non-stop laughing and how Howlite's vocals were fuddling into other voices. "Howlite, please let me see your gem." she said, trying to keep her voice calm as not to scare the other gem too much. She had to hurry and make sure that it didn't continue cracking because if it shattered there was nothing she could do to bring Howlite back.

She inspected the gem, holding the gem hand in her own so that Howlite's laughing wouldn't shake or move the cracked gem. "Don't worry, your going to be just fine. Try and stay as still as you can.",she stated as concern leaking into her voice. Aqua held out her own free hand, a soft blue glow lighting up her palm as she blew a steady stream of air into her palm. A swirl of ice crystals dancing around her palm, slowly sticking to a ball as her palm made the ice starting to glow a brilliant blue. She only stopped when the sculpted ball of glowing ice was about the size of a baseball before moving her hand over Howlite's gem. Aquamarine crushed the ball in her hand, the powder from the ball slowly falling onto the gem and surrounding it in its glow before the gem started to stitch itself back together. A flood of relief filled her once the gem had fully healed, causing tears to build in her eyes finally at the close call and she didn't stop herself from hugging Howlite softly.

"Another useless Cluster, if I could only get more than these small shards. Either way, I'm pretty sure I understand how this works. Soon I'll be able to fuse myself with other gems against their will and then she won't be able to get away from me, besides who gave these fools the right to fuse with her." Bloodstone took his pathetic creation and locked it into a cluster vault. "I'll have Jasper take it to the Kindergarden later. But now let's try to fuse four shards together."

Emerald's Gem started glowing, floating up out of Sodalite's hands, wavering and stuttering about in the air, before a mass of light went out in connecting trails, fluctuating into various blobs of light before taking Emerald's shape, and then it sort of glitched before a few words came out of the light blob, in a static-like Emerald voice. "What-----this--------not rig--------" The blob of light retreated back into the Gem, it falling back into Sodalite's hands.

Sodalite was startled to see Emerald acting the way that he did. It was strange and obviously something bad, and the blue gem wanted to know what it was. She held the gem of Emerald closely, her gauntlets being encased in light before disappearing. She was relieved that they were gone, but now she had less to protect Emerald with. Despite this, she still held him, and said not a word as she stood there, waiting for everyone to confirm that they were okay and ready to go to the town to see how everyone was doing.

Aquamarine let go of Howlite as she heard the sound of Emerald's voice but something didn't seem to be right. She stood, moving over to Emerald's gem with a light frown and curious to what might be happening. She looked to Sodalite before asking gently, "May I have another look at Emerald's gem?" Aqua had been sure there wasn't a crack on the green gem but maybe she had seen wrong. Either way, maybe her healing ability could help fasten whatever was causing such a glitch because it hadn't seemed to be from reforming too soon. She could put him into one of her healing ice orbs since he was in gem form, make it thinner so when he reformed that it would just break open.
