I'd say head north from what the emperor said (I'm probably stating the obvious, my bad).

So, uh, who's in which group? Sorry if I sound a bit lost. It's just to know in case groups end up meeting or something like that.

We are all in one group. You know, united we stand, and all.

Sorry! I didn't know discussion was being had in terms of the plot and such in this tab! Also that we were continuing in this thread now that OP is gone.

I think we should really create a new thread for this, so that Crow has the banner for OP and has more control over such things as it seems they are going to be GM and can also appoint Co-GMs if needed.

I would also think it wise to mention everyone in any major plot posts, like the speech, so we are all aware plot is moving forward at GM speed.

In regards to the route to be taken. I think we should discuss that in character, as it seems ripe for our characters to get to know each other if they haven't previously interacted.

I intended for the route to be taken to be pre-decided by the Emperor, because he will provide intel on potential weather and such that we must be wary about, for the reccomended route.

Of course, that's the reccomended route. Whether we wish to stray from it... that can be decided in-character.

Whether we want to get to our destination... thatvis our character's decision.

Are we moving threads?

and if not, how do we start? Now that we are skipping time and introductions and all that.

idk, i think we can just stay here? i mean, we've already started here, and the co-gms have power over things because whether or not they're officially recognized by the thread, they're recognized by us which is what's important. plus we're easy to find for dragon if/when they decide to return. idk, it just seems simpler than uprooting ourselves when we're still kinda getting our bearings here.

I agree with that. I think that, for the sake of simplicity, we should remain here for the time being. Unless, of course, Dragon would like his RP left untouched and for us to continue on a separate thread. That would be completely understandable

I think we should head north as suggested originally, if we start to stray we can do that IC. It seems implied by everyone that there are multiple groups heading out, and if we're all heading together I guess we should have a post meeting up. Or we could all be the last ones left and forced into a group, that would make things a little easier writing wise.

As for Verdante, we could say they were pretty hostile and declined to send anyone. OR the people they did send went missing before they reached Phoenicis, which could lead to some intriguing things later like discovering what happened to them (dead probs) and how they died, which makes them think it was a trap and act of war, making the verdante people very hostile to the group. Lots of options there.

Also, I am in favor of staying in this thread. Just makes it easier, and I don't really see any huge benefit to moving.

@nuttsnbolts I gotcha

@c3p-0h Our characters will interact soon ^_^

I think those are good ideas @chexmix It seems like we all kind of paired off socializing with each other. All of our smaller groups could meet up outside, or (as you said) get stuck together being the last ones left

I wanna make a comments on moving and co-gms.

Firstly, I don't think were should move. This is twilight's thread and his rp. Altering and taking the rp away from him is a bit of a kick in the guts, especially with the hardship he's going through. The best thing were can do for him is show that he has a great idea and we have kept it alive for as long as possible.

Secondly, with co-gms I don't believe that because someone was in a previous version that they should automatically be entitled to a co-gm position. That's a bit dictatorship with said person receiving the role when other candidates could be better. What we should do is vote in someone based on merit and what we have seen, but vote in as many co-gms as the forum allows. We can ask a mod to make those thread changes and changes and keep the thread going. Bare in mind however that if twilight comes back and boots these co-gms, they cannot argue back as it is his his puppy and his word is law.

Now I might remind people that the co-gm position means that they will be there to control any disputes and arguments. They should not be able to control the story but ask the community what they would like to happen and guide them with plot points and milestones. I speak of this because I know some RPs have some strict storymode but without the know-how of the GM, we are essentially on our own.

@Chexmix like the idea of an aggressive nation or missing people. One suggestion I thought of is that they advanced on ahead in order to cut off the party.

I think that most of us are in agreement that we should stay here. It's easier on everyone and shows twilight that we love his RP and respect it enough to keep it going as long as possible. Now, on the co-gm front, I'm not very experienced with the job or responsibilities that go with the position, but I feel like we SHOULD select someone who is right for the job. If there is someone in the position, who was just selected because they were a part of the RP before, and they aren't qualified, it's gonna be damaging to the RP and our experience as a whole. I agree with @NuttsnBolts, I think we should nominate a few people who we think would be a good fit, then vote on them and hopefully select someone who would do well in the position (as well as wants it in the first place x3)

I'm new to the forum so I don't know what truly comes with the title of GM in a thread, that's why I suggested it. I'm cool with keeping it here though if there isn't any major differences.

I think it best if the groups, whatever ones there are, meet outside the main gates with an attack of some Pokemon swarm. Like the plot suggests, they're becoming rather hostile and a great way to bond is through an attack on you and your comrades.

As for the other nation, I quite like the idea of them being attacked or missing on the way to the meeting. They could be setting up for an all out war with whatever nation they are closest to, not looking at map right now.

For Co-GMs, it should be up to a vote on who we all think should help in the process of telling the story. I think having one is a bit dictatorish, I think two-three is great for helping to run this campaign.

everyone's got some good points and ideas, but i think it'd be smart to have at least one co-gm who was part of the old group. they'd be more familiar with the original plan for this rp and its direction, even though we're bound to deviate at some point because that's just the nature of these things.

i kinda like the idea of that other nation (fulmion? i don't remember a verdante, but i might've just forgotten.) being hostile and potential enemies aside from just wild, angry pokemon. that could be cool ^.^

I agree. Naturally, we should stick to this thread.

Sorry, I just... kind of want this to move forward. I may have gotten carried away with running the road.
So, a crew of 3 or even 4 Co-GMs to see to things? I'll share what Twilight has shared with me to the 2 or 3 who are willing to help co-run. Which is basically the basic outline of the plot. The only downside is spoilers and the usual co-GM downsides.

9 to 10 players.

I believe 3 Co-GMs maximum is ideal. If the number of members increase to let's say 15 or 20, we'll ponder about another co-GM.

OOOR maybe 3 is ideal.
