The group had traveled a great deal with Rinn in quiet contemplation. This job to retreive an ore from a mountain not far from the kingdom that hired them seemed like a far to simple of a task for a kingdom to gather this many heroes. Something about the mountain had piqued his curiosity, why gather so many combatants for something that should be a simple mining company operation. As his brow furrowed in furrious contemplation it was Al'durian that broke his chain of thought,

"If you continue thinking with such a face you will start looking as old the Valerian king."

A light chuckle escaped the contemplating Torin. Rinn could always count on Al'durian to bring him back to reality, quickly posing his thoughts to her,

"What do you think about this mission? It is far too simple for Navire to gather such powerful fighters."

Rinn's companion sat quiet for a moment mulling the thought in her own head finally 'shrugging' in response. As the group stopped and inspected the bodies Rinn stood back fom the group and observations on his own, although what ever had done such a thing to these people it had shaken Al'durian to the core.

"What is the matter Al'durian? What do you about this?"

"All I know is this...this creature is a poison. A festering wound that will not heal."

Rinn spent the next few moments trying to settle Al'durian's nerves, worried after never having seen her in such a fit. As the group traveled on it wasn't long before the creature that killed the travelers showed itself. Rinn was about to charge after the creature when Al'durian refused to go any farther,

"Rinn we are not alone!"

Upon further inspestion Rinn noticed that himself and the others were quickly becoming surrounded by smaller versions of the monsterous beast. As a small handfull were about to decend upon the Arcanian Rinn and Al'durian charged into action plowing through the closest creature taking up a defensive stance giving the swordswoman time to prepare herself.

"Eyes up Arcanian, we are being surrounded!"

Selie’re cautiously approached the four legged creature with the full intend to capture it, when she was noticed. Then suddenly all of the four legged creatures began to run away… The arcana quickly concluded she wasn’t the cause as if she was it was going to be only the one she approached and it was only going to move to the others of it’s kind. No! These creatures reacted to something else… something more dangerous than her. Then she first noticed the noise… something was approaching. The blade dancer quickly looked around only to eventually see the impending danger.

“So we found it’s offspring huh?” Selie’re said as she recognized the type of creatures that were approaching them. Following the strange noise they made as they moved, the arcane quickly noticed they were oozing some kind of slime. ’Even more poison!’ Ran through the dancer’s mind as she jumped back a few steps and drew her second sword… this was a predicament, they needed to reunite with the rest of the group, but that meant skirmishing with large number of small, but poisonous creatures.

“The concern is not needed, but I appreciate it.”The arcane replied as she quickly stabbed her swords in the ground and put her hands on both Rinn and the Chocobo. Closing her eyes for but a moment, her hair flared up for a second as she gave her magic energy to the duo. Then she quickly took her weapons again. “ This should help both of you somewhat.Now I suggest we first move to the geomancer than break away from this place. I have status remedies if needed, so let’s concentrate first on getting away. Those beasties aren’t very fast. ” The arcana stated and dashed in a straight line towards the Geomancer. She was aware that now to reach him and her chocobo that was near him, she had to pass through the place where the small creature oozed all that poison. She had of course no plan to step on it or stay in place long enough to be reached by their bad breaths. Using her excellent agility and the fact she was very light, Selie’re used a nearby tree to jump right above the small plan like creature. While just above it, she used the chance to slash from above before falling back to the ground and continuing to run towards the geomancer. If she managed to injure the creature and create a weak link in teh encirclement made by the things, then Rinn would have a lot easier time breaking in without any injuries himself.

Cassius was sighing as the Warrior practically soared off into the wind.
"I need to give him a new nickname..." He thought aloud as he readied his crossbow in front of him.
After a long jog, he finally caught up to not see one - but many of the toxic creature. What inconceivable thing brought all these toxic spewing creatures? Why in a foreign habitat? This didn't make sense to the hunter... never the less he stood back, crouching down as he took aim.

"One...two... three...too damn many...." He muttered at he aimed to the furthest one from his location; if his remedy idea were to work, it would dehydrate and whither, or be incapable of it's breathe. Either way it would be considered a victory. From where the creature he was aiming for was at, it would seem like a good spot to release it's toxic breathe that could quite possibly slaughter the group- that would be bad on his resume...

Rather than waiting longer, he fired his first bolt at the furthest one from the group, before loading to shoot the one closest to the group. "I swear, these better hit and work..."

Green goop scattered across the grass. With an effective strike at the opportune moment, the warrior cut the Molboroba from the nose to the jaw diagonally separating half of the creature's head. The badger was the closest and first to see the pulsing heart of the monster slowly turn into a stilled blob. The purple innards were grotesque yet for any alchemist spoils would be as simple as grabbing some important organs.

The warrior, axe-wielder, and songstress would feel a new bond however. Their joint efforts exceeded the immediate danger posed by the monster. However a new danger was still around, the baby malbo that were in another part of the forest, out of view of the Moogle, Bird, Warrior, Hunter, and Badger. The smell of a corpse already rotting in life would overtake them in moments of the exposed innards. The best remedy was simply to burn away the corpse.

And rightly so as all who could see the creature's corpse would observe the strange phenomenon. The body bubbled as it hit the ground, spilling out more sludge until it spread across the grass like a fallen grail. The unholy smell brought tears to the moogle who cast ensuna on himself, thinking he'd been infected.

"Flesh of the devil!" The small summoner said, floating away. Before he could flee the smell the sounds of beasts caught his attention and then the sound of birds last reptiles. The creatures of the forest were reacting to an unknown force. "What's.. what's wrong with them? aren't they happy the monster is no more?" The moogle floated toward the decayed grass of the Molboroba's previous path. Looking to the hunter he tilted his head at the sight of the weapon.

"I do not believe that is a sound of joy, for each creature of this forest possess strength and the ferocity of the wild. We have not yet seen the last of this forest's dangers." The Caelum woman said, covering his face and looking away from the foul corpse. In her home kingdom, blood and bile of leviathan and monsters of the sea were but sweet wine compared to the sickening Molboroba.

Over with the Geomancer, Blade Dancer, and Chocobo Rider there was only the wild behavior of the babies to worry about. Each seemed preoccupied with consuming the plants around them, and spitting on the trees to mark territory by slowly eroding the bark into black wood. The party there became a target for their spitting. If but a single drop landed on their skin it would cause debilitating pain, disease, and poisons to spread about that part of their body. With the shear number of those small creatures accumulating in the area, by a count of approximately thirty one, one could but hope to flee this place. The forest outside of Navire was becoming a nursery for a spreading sickness.

When the blade dancer moved to flee the area she managed to cut a spawn in the face, ripping the eye from the body. It reacted by screeching and quickly the pack of them too started screeching, calling out for their protectors.

The Geomancer would know that noise by experience, if any mother or father could listen then they'd surely arrive in moments. The forest would then become a hunting ground for the party.

The smell hit him first, the sight of the vreature collapsing knto a bubbling oozing mess on the ground followed. Witb each passing second the stench intensified sevenfold, he had to move away from the still oozing corpse of the fiend he and his new comrades had vanquished before he succumbed entirely to its pungent odour, he was already already becomimg light headed and dazed, he quickly rummaged through his kit and took down a vial of remedy hastily, feeling it take immediate effect.

"That was some creature indeed, far more powerful than the other strains i have encountered... excuse me a shott while as i write this up." Entering his bag again he removed a large book and held it up for Koji and Lume to see.

"I call it a Beastiary, it has every creature i have encountered inside, all written by me ofcourse." he quickly sketched a picture of the creature from his memory amd added a description before closing the book and returning it to his bag. Wallas' nose and ears wrinkled, something wasn't right, he noticed also that the other half of the party had not returned.

"The trouble is not over, the others may need us. Please follow me"

----

A mystic whistling sound rang out across the clearing where the second party was, a silvery mist shot through the air and engulfed one of the smaller Marlborobas, the creature lulled heavily and collapsed into a deep sleep. Wallas' tracking skills had always served him well and they continued to do so on this occasion also.
He ran into view and pulled his axe from its sheath, using his momentum he threw it at one of the other Marlborobas, his aim was true and he heard the creature shriek. He dived toward it to retrieve his axe from the writhing body, skidding across the floor and coming to a halt at its tentacles he pulled it loose and struck it again before rolling away from the creature before it could react.

Wallas looked at the second party and saw that everybody was accounted for and no one appeared to be injured, he let a sigh of relief escape him.

"Leave the sleeping one for the mages, warriors focus on the immediate threats... Im sure by now i don't need to tell you to keep your distance"
he finished his sentence with a chuckle, he liked to bring humour to tense situations, it helped him cope with nerves.
As he felt himself calm slightly he closed his eyes and muttered under his breath, the fur on his body raising slightly, another mystic whisrle resonanted across the battle ground and a multiple swirling rays of blue flew from his now outstretched hands, the rays serenely danced through the air and embedded themselves into each of his allies, bolstering their confidence and raising the attack power, the magic energy made him almost levitate as his small body conjured it, it was a funny thing to see even in the seriousness of battle, that would surely help calm the nerves.

Having bounded back to the trees after his assault, Koji gave pause before turning his gaze to his fallen foe. The writhing and shriveled collapsed on the ground triggered a relieved sigh from the warrior, eyeing over his blade that was now covered in the ichor of the creature. The smell was putrid, causing Koji to cough involuntarily before wiping the weapon clean upon the tree beneath him. Something this vile and wicked... Truly this job was turning out to be more then he bargained for. Collecting himself, Koji bounded from the tree to a position not far from the badger.

"You've encountered creature before? Vile monster," As he spoke, Koji would idly peer over into the book as his comrade began jotting down his entry into his tome. As he closed the book and spoke of their separated party, Kojiro merely nodded in reply. Though he wasn't sure which way to look... He was lucky enough to stumble upon this group by mere chance; hunting down the others would be slightly more complicated.

That is- before the badger had begun tracking signs of their wayward comrades. Taking to the trees once more, one could see Koji bounding through the canopy of the forest flanking them- though which much less vigor then before. The strain he had put on his body to not only catch up, but deal the final blow to the creature had taken it's toll. Still, he carried on, tightening his grip once the others came into view surrounded by the smaller spawns.

'Damnit!' The Dragon Bane was used to fighting massive foes, not hordes of smaller ones... As the numbers grew and encroached upon his allies, the man merely gave a heavy sigh before launching himself into the fray. With a mighty swing of his blade, he'd attempt to cleave one of the smaller creatures in two with a downward slice, standing erect as he once again bellowed out to draw attention upon him.

His aura of courage would radiate outwards, seeming to envelope and encourage his comrades as he drew up his blade and waited for his opposition.

To Cassius' surprise, his arrows hit the intended Target, rendering their breathe useless as well as dehydrating them, which in turn also made them greatly slower. This would benefit those trying to keep their distance from the foul creatures. Seeing as he was hidden by the trees, the creatures would have a harder time spotting him; in any case they'd hardly be able to rush at him seeing at how much drastically their mobility was reduced.

"Ughhh..." Cassius shuttered looking at such... horrid looking being. To him they looked like they crawled out of the abyss from some cult ritual about eating virgins for nourishment. Why not eat just anyone...? Oh wait... because "Every story involving sacrifice requires one." ughh... Poor Moogle and other people...

Cassius reloaded his crossbow, applying more of the super concentrated remedy before taking aim to another one of the threats he felt would not be a problem with such a large group. He aimed to one that was approaching the group. Before he fired, he felt the breeze to determine the wind resistance; if the resistance was to great, he'd have to reposition himself from the trees, or aim ahead of where the creature was moving in hopes of the wind carrying his shot enough to pelt well enough.

In a matter of minutes, the areas between trees were covered in pools of fizzling acid and the corpses of Marlbo baby corpses. The area would carry a foul stench for months, much like the party who would be at the mercy of that smell for a long distance.

Their triumph over this hoard of invasive creatures would quickly become known as the forest around them lacked the sinister atmosphere. Where grass was still growing, the runners fed. Their riders were making their way through the forest again, this time at a more leisurely pace due to the constrain of the terrain.

Thick trees were pillars of the deepening forest. Between them other plants tried to survive and some flourished while others had to be more crafty. The moogle observed a large plant that looked like a big bucket with a round bottom. A frog on a tree hoped into the water inside but the plant reacted in an instant, closing its lips and sealing the frog inside.

"EW!" The seemed to be the only reaction the moogle had in this forest.

Ahead of the Party Koji was the scout, looking out for creatures like the Molboroba and more Marlbo babies. On the opposite side of the party was Cassius who was a good distance behind them. This formation allowed them to move through the forest and be warned about threats coming from in front and behind them. The only incidents so far was a report from the eastern warrior.

Heading back to the party with the knowledge of what's ahead, he would need to try mastering the language if wanted to properly describe the scene ahead.

The forest was hot like an oven, humid like swimming in water, and various aromas carried creatures into the poison petals of flowers. However in the heart of this jungle was a monument of nature's creation, perhaps of a Primal's doing.

A large nest was made in the center of a huge tree which was nearly as wide across as the Navire Court Room. It lifted it branches far above the other tree's highest point, but yet it could not be seen from the ground level as the fight over sunlight would block out the sky and inhibit the view of those trying to look up. However, the eastern warrior was moving from within the canopy. He saw the tree and could report its location.

What would he say and how would the party react to the giant tree?

As the chance encounter began to draw to a close, one could see the armored warrior standing tall over the fetid fields that resided beneath the party. As the spawns of the foul creature were laid to rest, Koji fell back in with the party as they began to regroup for the trek ahead. In his mind, Koji blamed himself for this incident, giving praise to the Dragon Lord that none of his comrades had come to harm. Still, this experience served to prove one crucial point... He should have never left the front.

"I will scout. Need eyes ahead." Try as he might, the language of this country still escaped him- only able to piece together simple phrases and sentences to get his point across. Taking but a moment to clean his blade and armor of the rancid muck, Koji then leapt into the trees as he waited for his party to ready. Once they were on the move, he'd begin bounding ahead on the path- eyes peeled for anything that would attempt to endanger his charges yet again.

Time seemed to drag on as the warrior made his leaps and bounds ahead of the group, pausing every few moments to look back and ensure the caravan was within distance of his jump. He attempted to ignore the encroaching fatigue that had been plaguing him since the battle earlier that day, made all the more difficult by the growing humidity of the forest around him. Having lived a majority of his life on or near mountains; this sudden change in climate made it hard for the warrior to keep his thoughts- let alone focus on his self-appointed task. Still, he managed; eyes scanning around the canopy and the underbrush for any signs of hostile life.

Abruptly, the warrior gave pause, his eyes settling upon a massive tree and its contents with a curious gaze. Cautiously, Koji would move in closer for a better look, keeping in mind that this abode may not have been abandoned. Once he verified his suspicions, the warrior rounded from the tree and leapt back to the party.

Landing with a subtle thud upon the pathway of which the party traversed, Koji stood with a hand raised above his head- a sign to halt their travels. The first one to approach him would receive his report, "Large tree," He said, indicating the direction of which he had spotted the massive timber, "I notice nest. Nothing there... Could be on hunt, or in sky. Not sure. But seems odd. I could scout again, but it may be waste." Having virtually no experience with forested areas, if asked about what it seemed to be a nest for, Koji would shake his head, "I know not." Try as he might, if asked to describe the tree, he could only relay the simplest of details, leaving those hungering for information wanting. Still, he stood by, awaiting his comrade’s decision- all the while with his eyes trained on the canopy above.

Wallas looked on with widened eyes, he stepped into the small clearing which housed the large tree and revalled something he had heard previously.

His bestiary now sat in his hands as he flicked through the pages of his own hand writing, his gaze came to rest on a page with the words.

~~~RUMOURS & FOLKLORE~~~
Emblazoned on its face, he turned the page.
He skimmed the pages until he found the section he was looking for and spoke up.
"It would seem that there are some who believe a... Witch, of sorts, Dwells in a large tree in one of the forests on this continent... it seems to me that this could very well be that very same tree." He informed. He continued to read on.
"Now it is believed that this creature is not hostile, but will attack if provoked. It is said that one can expect many confusing riddles and puzzles from such a creature... of course this creature was only ever a tale spilled from the lips of one and kept in the minds of many, but nevertheless, here we are. Who's to truly know what its like, IF indeed it exists... We must proceed with caution."
Wallas closed his large book and placed it back in his pack, he stepped a foot closer to the tree and his whole head raised as he struggled to see the tree in its glory, towering over him.
“Aghh…” Selie’re made an annoyed sound as she felt the temperature change. The usual temperature in Arcania was very high. It could be said that they had a very moderate weather in her country. While there were temperature spikes every now and then, it rarely got very hot or very cold. Of course as a Blade dancer she was forced to get used to operate in different temperatures be it high or low. While she was going to be fine in the heat of this forest, it didn’t mean she had to like it. Taking a red ribbon from her bag she quickly tied her hair in a tail. As she leaving her hair free would only add to the heat.” Is there a river somewhere along the way?” The arcana asked.
“Large tree you say? While it is interesting thing to check, wouldn’t it be better to do that on the way back from the mines or to send another expedition for it? If we stick around more than we have to, we increase the chance to incident to happen.” Selie’re said and quickly took a look around the area, not forgetting to check the skies.” If it’s a nest in a tree then it most certainly is sorts of flying creature and we are lacking effective means to combat one.”
The arcana listened to Wallas’es explanation. Interesting thing this was, they indeed should check it sooner or later. But if it’s not hostile then that was a good omen. Generally peaceful creatures were kind of rare in the wilderness. “So what are we going to do now? Do we check the nest to meet the creature or we continue onwards? If the rumors about it… or I suppose she since it’s stated it’s a witch, are true. Then it’s sentient and if it’s peaceful we may be able to get a boon of sorts if we make good impression on the witch. Frankly I like the idea of meeting the creature, but it's dangerous. If something goes wrong this expedition may end before we even reach the Mau.”
"We've got time for a visit, don't we? I mean.. it's in the same direction right? We slayed a big ol monster for this forest's protector!" The little moogle said, hovering like a hummingbird behind Lume. The two of them sat on the runner which really seemed odd to the Caelumite. Of those two he was the most excited.
"Indeed the Malboroba was slain by the work of our party. Perhaps she will grant safe passage to us if we exchange this favor." Lume said, wondering just who this witch was. "Is that not the Boon you speak of, Selie're?"
"Baba Yaga," Galren began, "The Witch of the Twisted Tree. I believe that is the one you are referring too, Wallas Farmohn. She is a Primal like that Book says, however, she's much more like an animal than a witch. I have seen her form in the sky as one would a hawk." He spoke with an old accent from the same continent as the Selie're and Wallas however, those two would notice a strange twist to his tongue, as if he'd spent a long time learning many dialects of the common language. However, above all things he spoke with confidence over this matter. "I have seen many a Primal, this one is what you may call neutrally aligned."
"What's a Primal again?" The moogle asked. It was obvious he'd never been outside the walls of the his home.
"It is the Patron of the wild, one who has not united with its people. Baba Yaga will one day become a Patron when her people arrive at this place. However, this is not going to happen within our lifetime. A Primal will wait until the end of time for its people to find it within the wilds. Kingdoms will fall and the seasons will pass like that of a single hour for a Primal." The Geomancer was very knowledgeable of these creatures, having traveled across the world for most of his life.
"Oh... so what if we were her people?" The moogle asked being nosy.
"Then the Primal would show herself to us upon our arrival in the forest, asking for an offering of Magicite for her to ascend to the Goddess Shrine."
"So she'll go up there and then what?" the short one stared into the sky, seeing the crescent of the goddess shrine (a moon) already.
"This forest will transform, a blessing will be given to one of her people, and a great deal of work begins for the new kingdom." Speaking from his experience, this was a gold mine of information for Wallas. The Geomancer wondered if the Mahngan was taking notes.
"Oh! I wanna be blessed!"
"A king has many duties." Lume said, wondering if the moogle would ever cease questioning the old man. "Besides summoner of Navire, your Patron has blessed you with the power to bring fourth a creature to this realm."
"Oh that's pooey! I can summon cause I just can, no Patron required!"
"A creature that you must one day show us, Greg." The Geomancer said. "Now, as the Warrior Koji has given us a report, we can make the choice to go around a Primal's nest, visit her, or attempt to get close but ignore her. I doubt that she would stay hidden if we traveled close to her nest. Yet the way around this forest is unclear to me... much has changed since I last passed through this area."
"Heh, you're taking too much time. Just go already." Kevess appeared behind them, his bandages covered in red blood spattered across his hands. It was clear that he'd just killed something. However, no scratch marks on his body indicated a biased battle in the shadow hunter's favor. "What? Can't handle blood?" He moved on without them, heading toward the large tree.
Though the words of the party never fully reached the warrior, he understood that there were some that wanted nothing to do with the tree and whatever secrets it held. Personally, Koji cared not. His only concern was for the well being of those under his care, but he would not lie that it was a rather odd landmark. As the party deliberated, he noticed the bandaged one from before speak out and push his way to the front of the party. Koji let the man pass, though through slanted eyes. His brazen attitude was not a welcomed quality, especially when rushing into what could possibly be danger, but as the rest of the party turned to follow, Koji nodded.
"See you at tree." And with his reply, Koji rounded and leapt back the way he came.
As the tree came into view, the warrior gave pause. Though most of the previous conversation had gone unnoticed, he did understand one word in particular... Witch. It wasn't uncommon for those who practiced magic of any sort in his homeland to be labeled as such; what with physical prowess being a prominent feature in his homeland. Yet this concern remained unspoken as he his gazed behind him at where his party would be approaching.
Intentionally putting some distance from his party, Koji wanted to confront whatever 'witch' this was before his comrades. He had hoped that if she was hostile, he would become her target so the party might escape. Steeling his nerve with a subtle sigh, Koji leapt to the branch that contained the nest, offering a greeting in draconic.
(Red dot: Koji, Green dot: Remaining Party. Circles: areas where the party as a whole can fit. Line are branches of notable size that connect smaller areas to each other. Black: immediately in front of you or very near you. Creatures, traps, and activation points are within immediate area. Dark grey, visible and one can tell whats over there with little effort. Light grey, hard to see but you know it's there. White... remaining map that hides other areas. Please note that certain things may b hidden on this map. )
Standing near the nest, the warrior quickly heard loud chirping noises coming from the large bundle of twigs. Just below his footing was another area where branches converged. He could see that something was sitting there wedged between the wooden branches. It appeared shiny, but there was a great wall of vines and thorns with small flowers covering the nearby area. Getting too close may result in something strange happening. the warrior's instincts were sure of this, just looking at those purple flowers assured him that it was a trap!
If he looked above him, it was the same case where it was easy to see the odd looking flora.
However, at the foot of the tree the party could see how the branches of the giant tree were able to be climbed or walked rather easily. They were wide enough to carry a couple people side by side but this was no place to bring a chocobo since the leaves and smaller branches were in the way.
(Please choose directions according to the lines. If you wish to maneuver yourself in a special way [jump from one circle to another without going through the lines] then please specify which circle to the best of our abilities. In some instances a hidden obstacle may block your path. You'll risk falling from a great height doing so. Also this is a trial map, explore and experiment in your attempts as much as you want.)
Spying the traps both above and below him, Koji gave pause... Perhaps his actions had been a bit to brash, but he wasn't in position to back off now. As he progressed down the only visible corridor, his hand would remain on his blade as his keen eyes searched for any signs of traps or significant markings as he made his way forward.
The warrior would soon move from the area near the nest to a safer location closer to the massive trunk of the tree. Looking around in this area he would see a lot of vines everywhere. There was a clear route to his left but in front of him he could see the wind gently push the vines that looked like they were secure but might not have been. What would the warrior do, go the safe way or find out what's on the other side of those vines?
The air was still around the big tree, the surrounding forest nullified the attempts of nature to seay the branches beneath Wallas' feet. Before him Wallas saw four huge braches, big enough to traverse, two in front of him leadin left and right and either side of him.
Wallas headed toward the branch in front of him leading right, he cautiosly placed one foot in front of the other as he stepped onto the nect branch. He noticed another large area of the tree at the end of the branch he was on, he headed over to it and began scouting his route, he decided he would next follow the branches veering left.
Selie’re quickly took a look around the possible path to take. It was quite the maze of branches and vines that was in front of her. There were many paths to take and she was sure she could scale up the path with relative ease if she wanted. She possessed the needed agility to do so. So she quickly decided on a path to take, they couldn’t leave the warrior up on the tree alone, someone needed to go to help him in case of need.” I will go that way.” The arcana said and pointed to her chosen path.
(The one which is upper left of the place the party started.)
The blade dancer made a few steps back and quickly dashed forwards, using the momentum to jump higher and then jump away from one of the lower branches and trunk upwards towards her destination. For situations like this, her very light equipement was quite useful as it didn't weight her down.
Selie're was snagged by a vine, catching her and holding her in place. When she looked to see what caught her leg it was a crazy plant monster with large vines and flowers covering the neck. It seemed tightly rapped up on the branch as to hold itself and the weight of its new meal.
Looking around, Wallas found a small rock the size of his thumb with a tiny glyph. It seemed that this used to be something important but was broken. Perhaps he would recognize that glyph later but the shapes, a circle with a triangle inside that had another triangle inside except upside down.
"Hello?"
Someone said from ahead. It was the voice of a young women, perhaps a hume in her late teens. Wallas and other members of the party could hear her but no one could see her yet.
The blade dancer was suddenly rooted in place by something. It turned to be a vine, that was a part of some plant type monster. “ So you plan to feast on me huh?” She said as she readied her swords. It made a mistake by only grabbing her legs first, for her swords could cut such vines with ease!
“Sword Dance: Steel whips!” The arcana uttered as for a moment her hair flared up with red light, then she quickly twisted her body around, unleashing a series of devastating hits on the vines holding her in place. Once those hit, she quickly changed her stance.” Sword Dance: Black Lotus form!” She continued as she began a complex set of movement’s that twisted her swords all around her body in incredible speed that would allow her to deflect any attack or in this case turn any vines moving towards her into sliced salad.
If this thing wanted to die that badly, she was going to give it it’s wish.
