Christine Ly
Age: 23
Gender: Female
History:
A first-generation American born to Hmong-Vietnamese parents, Christine grew up as an only child in relative poverty in Memphis, Tennessee. She spent most of her childhood sheltered by her overprotective parents, only taking away from her studies to attend her Buddhist temple or Muay Thai classes her father had insisted on. She was expected to become an academic prodigy, bringing First World success to her family of hopeful immigrants.
She graduated high school Summa Cum Laude and lettered in varsity volleyball, earning her a full ride to business school. She began letting loose, partying and experimenting in every way possible while maintaining her grades so she could send something back home to her parents. Her feelings of emptiness caused by her relatively lacking upbringing soon felt more and more fulfilling, but it was obvious to her that the key to keeping herself together lay in her heritage. Her work hard, play hard lifestyle needed more structure.
She returned to meditating, reinforcing her discipline. She continued practiced Muay Thai, with all the scares of sexual predators on college campuses. She read more in an attempt to distance herself from the generic dumb bitch persona everyone seemed to apply to people in her crowds, and she paid more attention to how she dressed to add some modesty to her suggestiveness. She continued her bad girl phase, but in a much more deliberate manner.
She graduated with honors, and rather than attending business school, she decided to turn to dealing pure MDMA provided by her connections in New York. She's embraced a more dynamic lifestyle, heading towards tourist attractions and very much mixing business with pleasure.
Since the sky turned red, she's been treating it as almost enlightening. She feels it is a very significant spiritual moment for the world, and with that she's been meditating more frequently and laying off the MDMA herself. She surely is uncertain of what is to come, but she's also seen it better to have as little expectations as possible when it comes to events out of her control.

Her tattoos have begun to animate, but she feels it may just be her seeing it. Their colors are also becoming more prominent, as if it's not just the ink under her skin.
