Lights were shining and blinking throughout the KDF academy. This meant there was a kaiju attack already. Many of the students were running around preparing. Lance was in the control room as was directing some students so their positions in the control room. Students who had been approved to fight were now being sent out right into combat to fight a rather large creature. One that looked like a giant vulture. This creature was known as The Giant Claw. It seemed to be attacking the City of Sante Fe. It was an odd choice of cities but it seemed to be the Giant claws target.

Cia Vladmir was one of the first dispatched. Those who were dispatched were dropped from a plane into the area. Cia landing with quite a bit of ease like the others. The only issue was, she needed this creature to land on the ground. She couldn't do much with her shovel as it was ground based weapon, and this was a flying type Kaiju. As the Kaiju Fighters landed the Giant Claw let out a piercing screech shattering a few windows as it did so.

As this was happening Kong was watching from on top of a near by building. He wasn't the most powerful of the Kaiju but he was definitely up there as he had power of a category 5 at his disposal. However he would not be helping this Kaiju in it's fight, he would only watch, and jump in after the Giant Claw was defeated. Kong knew of his masters plan's as he had been helping to come up with it. And he couldn't wait to see the results as the plan had just begun, with a kaiju of Envy.

Akane "Kiryu" Yashiro

As the lights blare of the impending kaiju attack, Ms. Yashiro kept calm as she approached the control room. As a member of the KDF for over 10 years as a student and currently a teacher, the alarm was nothing more than a normal occurrence to her. After all, she never exactly participates in battle anyways. She usually commands or help commands the battle, barking out orders to the students on where they should be and when they should attack. The kaiju they're dealing with seems to be a fairly easy threat to deal with. She then stops beside principal Lance.

"Huh..." she sighs as she crosses her arms, "Looks like we're dealing with that ugly bird again. It's last recorded sighting was in 1957, and it had been killed by the military. Could this be a new specimen Mr. Principal?"

Akiba Kyouske formulated a basic plan during the flight to Santa Fe and explained his role in the battle to come. As this was a flying enemy, Akiba figured his specialty had an obvious part to play, and he was pretty confident that he didn't need anyone else's input to start the fight. "I have the best control from the air, so I'll be distracting the Great Claw, or breaking their ability to fly if I can," Akiba declared when they had almost reached their destination. "If there's anything you need me to do, or direct him towards, contact me via the helmet." Akiba tapped the Rodan helmet on the seat next to him and smirked. Other than what he was saying on the plane, he didn't intend to play a big role in planning on the ground.

In fact, Akiba never reached the ground at all. As soon as he exited the plane with the Mecha-Rodan Phase I equipped, a combination jetpack and helmet, Akiba blasted off towards the Kaiju without hesitation. Distracting Kaiju and redirecting them from civilians was a common tactic to him by now, even before Mecha-Rodan was developed he had done the job in a fighter jet. As he tried to approach the Kaiju from behind, Akiba lamented that his suit did not come equipped with an audio device he could use to call the monster out. He settled for the next best thing, and tried to fly above the Great Claw and ruffle its feathers with a Maser blast directed at the back of their left wing.

Logan sat on the flight to Santa Fe with a fairly calm mindset. They were told that this was a flying kaiju so he knew he'd have to use his kinetic powers to be able to hurt it while it's in the air. One of his 'colleagues' mentioned how he'd have best control due to the fact that he had a jet-pack to attack the kaiju from the air. Logan didn't object to anything told to him during the flight and only focused on what he would do against this flyer. He knew that his own skills in fighting wouldn't do much while that monster was in the air so he prepared his kinetic control of his chain-scythe.

Logan dove out of the plane and immediately pulled out his weapon, upon landing to the ground he began to kinetically control it. As the chain began to lift itself off the ground, the scythes started to move on their own; Logan had established the link. He quickly began charging the weapon with energy and then made it longer to make it easier to hit. The weapon quickly lifted itself off the ground and Logan tried to find an opening, which he was hoping he'd get as soon as his 'colleague' managed to get the kaiju's attention and get it distracted. He began re-positioning the weapon by looking at his ally's flight patterns and began trying to determine how the kaiju would react in order for Logan to get the weapon to where it needed to be to strike.

The giant Claw was hit by the attack to the wing. It fell towards the ground as it was shot off balance. It was now outside of Sante Fe on the ground. Which for Cia was a good thing. "You stay on the ground now." Cia said in her very heavy Russian accent. Cia lunged her shovel right into the ground. Quickly protruding rocks came up to keep the Giant Claw still, of course this wouldn't last long as it was trying to flap it's wings in order to free it's self, and some of the rocks were starting to move from this effort too.

"Logan! Help me keep this thing on the ground!" Cia yelled as she tried to keep it grounded. A few of the other recruits were attack it's wings with variouse weapons harming it more and more. Someone would need to go after the head at this point.

Lance got over the comm and issued his command. "Akiba! Aim for the neck and head! Blast that thing into the ground!" Lance commanded. He was indeed a commander after all.

Mika came up behind Ms. Yashiro with her arms crossed. "I don't think this is a new specimen at all. From the looks of it, I believe that it was reincarnated some how." Mika said realizing that it was exactly the same as the pictures she had seen of it before.

'Wow, I didn't expect that to work,' Akiba thought as he flew past the Kaiju he had shot down. The Rodan suit couldn't hover, like a plane it had to constantly move forwards to fly, so after the Kaiju fell he rocketed past. As he was circling around to attack from the monster again, Akiba received the message telling him where to target next. "Roger that. Stay near the wings, team," Akiba replied into his headset. Then, off the communication relay, Akiba said to himself, "Alright Rodan, let's give 'em another shot."

This time Akiba had to charge from the Giant Claw's front side, and because the cannon was on Akiba's back, his angle was pointed towards the beast on the ground. When he fired the beam he aimed it at the monster's head, and then pulled up so that the beam would reach the back of the neck and then its torso.

Akane "Kiryu" Yashiro

"The same specimen?" Akane answered confusingly, "But the real question is, who wants to resurrect an old, ugly, bird kaiju like him? He even appears to be slightly stronger compared to his first appearance, but he doesn't have the antimatter shield* like before, or so it seems."

She continues to watch the battle from the control room, monitoring the action as the fighters began the assault on the Giant Claw.

(* In the 1957 movie, the Giant Claw did indeed have an antimatter shield. Only after being taken down by a special isotope was it then vulnerable to attack by missiles.)

Logan was stunned to see the kaiju fall to the ground. He didn't have time to enjoy the moment, though, as he was immediately called to hold the beast down. "Alright, here goes nothing" he shouted as he made the chain long enough to stab through bith wings and pin the beast to the ground. "Hurry up and take this thing out, I can't hold it forever!" he screamed, his mind almost shattering from the effort he put into holding the kaiju down. The order was finally made for it to be taken out and he saw a small flash of light.

Akiba shot the beam down at the monster, flashing Logan. He couldn't see anything and didn't know whether the hit was successful or not. "Is it over?" he asked into the mic, at this point his mind was at the brink of breaking from the strain. The scythes began to loosen and Logan himself couldn't keep the chain that long for much longer, he only hoped he could let go soon and that the kaiju was out for the count.

As the flash of light was seen and fired right at the Giant Claw something changed in it's eyes. All of a sudden it was gone. When one looked above they could see the creature. It was the same Giant Claw but ressurected given something extra. Cia looked up see the Giant claw heading streight at her and the other Kaiju fighters. "This isn't good." Cia said realizing that this may be more than they may be able to handle. It was able to grab one of the Kaiju fighter's throwing him up into the air before catching him in his large beak and eating the poor kid.

Lance saw what just happened and stood up all of a sudden looking frustrated. "What?! When could it do that!?" Lance asked in frustration. As Mika looked at some other monitors she realized what it had done, it hadn't exactly teleported, it had disintigrated it's self and then reformed above them. Mika's eyes when wide when she realized what it was, it had extra lives it seemed. "You need to take it down again! But this time seperate the head from it's body!" Mika yelled from the Comms. She wasn't sure how many it had but she figured seperating the body from the head may work better. If not then they should go after the heart.

This time the kaiju was behind Akiba, and it teleported before Akiba had a chance to circle around and get the monster back in view again. He only heard "What?! When could it do that!?" and an order to decapitate over the communications relay in his helmet, and when he turned around he could see the kaiju had taken to the air again. Akiba didn't know what had happened while his back was turned, but he understood the order. Akiba pulled up and flew higher, rising up past the Giant Claw, and then pointed downwards and fired at the neck again. Akiba was pretty sure there was no way the maser cannon would be able to blast all the way through a kaiju's flesh, considering they were really more used to annoy Godzilla than anything else, but an attack from above might encourage the monster to fly lower near the range of his allies.

"This creature can teleport?!" Akane thought in her head in surprise, When the hell was it able to do that?!

She continues to observe the battle as Akiba and the other fighters continued to do combat with the creature. Akane can't recall knowing the Giant Claw having the ability to teleport, it wasn't in the database! However it was resurrected, it must've gave it a few new abilities for it to play with. This was pretty unexpected.

"Fighters," Akane said into the comns, "Be careful for any unexpected tricks that it can do. If it can now teleport, then perhaps he might have a few new abilities in his arsenal. Stay alert!"

The drop ship Blink had boarded had taken a pit stop on the way to their destination which made Blink mildly annoyed because he hated the delay.

"Insolent fool!"

He thought to himself about the pilot because the man had to stop at a nearby air way to urinate this made Blink even more annoyed but he dealt with the idiot for the rest of the trip and when they were within drop distance of the battle Blink saluted him sarcastically with as much satirical grace as he could as to offended the pilot but he didn't seem to notice as they flew over the battle the carrier shook from a bit of turbulence and with ease Blink stride over to the doors of the ship and opened them.

The battle looked magnificent from far up and the damage was quite collateral so to speak, Blink to one more look inside the ship and then jumped out...

Time passes...

Blink rolled onto a building landing covered with the yellow tarp of a parachute that had saved his life, he brushed himself off and then unsheathed his sword and became alert.

He heard in the distance a voice.

"Fighters"

The voice sounded faintly familiar in his mind data banks.

"Be careful for any unexpected tricks that it can do if it can teleport then perhaps he might have a few new abilities in his arsenal stay alert!"

His mind data bank confirmed this voice as a student of the Kaiju fighters but did not reveal the name so Blink looked over the edge of the building and found a small group of fighters slinking around surveying the area.

Blink identified the force as a group of fighters so he made his way down the building but first uncliped his parachute.

Blink hurried over to the group with ease without any noise but when close enough he said.

"Salutations sorry to drop in so late"

His voice sounded echoey and computerized but like the human he once was.

"Leave it to a filthy kaiju to up and bust out some new hacky ability rather than having the good grace to fucking die." A terse and somewhat winded voice grumbled over the radio comms. This voice belonged to one Jacque Howell, a KDF fighter-in-training who was more than a little pissed off at the moment. Having landed with the batch of fighters that came in, Jacque had opted to focus more on helping assure that all civilians in the area had been evacuated when he realized that the kaiju being dealt with was a flyer. As he continued his search, the battle had been taken from the interior of Santa Fe to its outskirts as the creature was brought down, and he'd only been made aware of this after his comm had crackled to life and he spotted it further in the distance.

Jacque had run as fast as his legs could carry him to reach the outskirts of the city, having arrived just after Akane gave her warning. The fighter had spared a moment to catch his breath and make a disparaging comment before actually trying to make a plan of attack.

His attention now solely on combatting the kaiju, Jacque unfurled his whip and started to think. His weapon's lethality was of no use if he couldn't get within a few meters of the creature, and even if he could get airborne, the creature's 'teleportation' would just allow it to evade or counter with an attack of its own. Akiba was firing at the Claw, meaning it would hopefully be forced closer to the ground and be distracted, but it was still pretty unlikely that it would be close enough to attack. The fighter clucked his tongue as he spared a moment to think of each of the abilities of his team mates as he knew them until something clicked in his head courtesy of the arrival of Dennis. "Late? Blink, you showed up just at the right time man. Hey, how good would you say your throwing arm is?". From behind his glasses Jacque's eyes glinted with a somewhat disconcerting level of excitement, one that from a person like himself meant that he was about to do something that had the potential to be a smashing success, or a life threatening failure.

Cia took a deep breath and held her shovel infront of her. It's blade grew bigger along with the shaft growing longer. She dug it beneath a boulder and launched it right at the Giant Claw. "I will distract it!" Cia said into her comm as she continued to throw various pieces of earth at it having it stay in a spefic spot as Cia launched the boulders around the Giant Claw but never directly at it.

The Giant Claw flapped it's wings around eventually getting hit by Maser canon however this hit it's back preventing it from flying upwards. Now would be the best time to strike. It's claws seemed to have been glowing red though ever since it had first teleported. This indicated that the Giant Claw couldn't do teleportation often so hitting it's neck now would allow them to take the creature down.

Lance meanwhile only hoped that Blink would work togeather with Jacque quickly. This may be the only time they have to attack it before it can teleport again.

King meanwhile was still watching everything in the distance. He was on the ground at this point just waiting for the Giant Claw to be taken down. The moment it was defeated he would jump in to do his own work. He couldn't wait to get in on the action. He cracked his knuckles in excitement as he slowly walked towards the action.

The creature now had more lives like a cat? Logan was absolutely livid, all of his effort had rendered him useless for a while since he needed to get his energy back. He was now ready and infuriated and quickly rose to his feet to find the beast being hit by a the cannon yet again. According to Akane back at "base" this kaiju had new abilities and we needed to watch out for them. "Great, just what we need, an ugly son of a bitch that apparently can cheat death and get stronger when you kill it" muttered Logan through gritted teeth. Logan quickly saw two new fighters approach, finally they had gotten some help.

He saw everyone doing something and he wasn't about to sit out and not make this "Giant Claw" not feel his anger. Logan took his chain and quickly charged it with energy and made it long enough to hit the kaiju. He ran and climbed onto a large amount of debris to get in range of attacking the creature and pulled the chain back. A boulder flew at the monster and Logan noticed Cia attempting to distract it to create an opening. One end of the chain was stuck into the earth and the other was flung by Logan at the creature's wing in an attempt to hold it in place. He only hoped the chain had the strength to keep the kaiju down and he had the right timing to hit it.

As the man asked about Devvis's arms Blink could not help but smirk slightly and he looked at the man with raised eyebrows and said.

"I can throw better than your grandmother I bet my money on that!"

Blink said with a sly smile and a wink at the man, and then he continued.

"But in other words yes I have a good throw!"

Blink loved making fun of humans although he classified himself as one because he was partly human himself and he had feelings the same as they did except he was technologically advanced and hard wired to hunt and search and destroy.

Jacque snorted somewhat dismissively at what he assumed to be a familial dig by his companion, "I would hope you could, she's been dead for about five years now. But let's save the jokes for later." he shot back with a lopsided grin. The kaiju fighter shook out his limbs in an attempt to loosen himself for what would come next if Devvis agreed. Akiba's blast had done the trick, now it was up to everyone else to do their part while they had the chance, "Now that the feathery fucker's a bit closer to earth, i'm going to need you to throw me at it. Try and aim just below its head so I can get a clean shot at its neck. WIth any luck i'll be able to lop its head off, or at least come close." he explained.

As far as plans went this one was pretty crazy. The margin for error was rather wide, and the amount of variables to take into account where near countless. Even if Blink did managed to cleanly throw Jacque at the Giant Claw, the creature could easily turn and devour Jacque midflight, or simply teleport and allow him to fall to the ground. Speaking of the ground, Jacque had zero clue how he'd be able to land outside of using his weapon to cling to the claw's body if his plan worked. Overall his plan was hardly fool proof, but it was all he had to work with right now.

Blink nodded at Jacques command and thought there was a large enough chance that they would actually succeed in this insane scheme.

"Sounds like a plan to me!"

Blink said with hopefulness in his monochrome and serene voice he enjoyed being robot but he missed being human as well although that his body was in tact all except few essential body parts so they made him better, Blink pushed these thoughts aside and then awaited for Jacques command to pick him up and throw.

With Blink on board with his plan, Jacque coiled his whip in his left hand and gave a small chuckle, "Nice to hear you approve." he stated before running his finger along the edge of his glasses with his free hand. The action caused one of the lenses to come to life with a series of symbols and numbers as he continued to swipe until he reached the setting that he wanted. A small crosshair appeared on the lens, next to it a number appeared that showed the distance in meters between himself and the Giant claw. He loosened himself up one more time, being sure that nothing on him was stiff as he prepared to go airborne. "Alright man, i'm ready. Let's do this.".

Jacque gripped his weapon tightly as he anticipated what was going to come next. His smile disappeared as he focused on the Giant Claw with bated breath. Everyone had done their part, now it was time for him to do his. All that was left now was to avoid screwing up and hope that decapitation would do the trick.

Akiba was buzzing around the Giant Claw, but drifted away as he heard Blink and Jacque's plan through Jacque's intercom. It seemed like as good a plan as any as far as Akiba was concerned, it was just reckless enough to be up his alley, but there was no reason they couldn't use a little help. Akiba moved downwards, flying around Great Claw on the same vertical plane, firing at its wings with each rotation, trying to fire away from where Jacque's flight path would be but hoping to distract the Kaiju. Hopefully, he would also be close enough to eventually catch Jacque if he needed it.
