"Tssk, Tssk, Tyrael, so pessimistic. I trust you; well, I trust you to do what's best for you, which is a kind of trust..." John turns to Zesiro, raising an eyebrow "Pfft, yeah, sure thing boss. I'd love to run ahead of you and soak up any bullets that come flying your way." the old soldier then sighs, straightens himself and reapplies his winning smile. "Not like I've got anything better to do. C'mon then, Tyrael, let's go get our throats cut."
As John passes Zesiro, he presses his thumb to the scanner on his ID and tosses the silver rectangle to the kid "My identification." John says as a small hologram appears above the card, displaying his full biometric data, date of birth (Wheatreap 29th), planet of birth, Legionnaire citizenship, cybernetic permit, as well as his scavenger, shuttle and concealed carry licenses (and three outstanding parking tickets) scrolling by slowly.
“Oh, and kid, some advice from an old soldier: If you don't trust me, maybe you should knock me out or tie me up.” John says conversationally as he continues towards the castle “Not because I'd particularly like that, mind you. I'm retired, after all, and was really enjoying that hardly anyone knocks me out, ties me up or tries to kill me... However seeing as Tyrael here is, no offense, a suspicious looking bastard, you should probably be keeping your attention on him, 'cause I doubt anything short of actually shooting him will slow him down, and your partner doesn't seem to be too keen on participating... So if he decides to do something drastic then you being distracted by what I might be doing could be fatal.”
John flashes a raised eyebrow and a smile over his shoulder “Though if you do trust me you could always toss me my stunner and have another gun at your side. Your call though!”
