In an alternate universe unique to this RP, Batman was killed by Bane. Robin murdered by the joker, and the other Batman allies have fled Gotham in grief over the Dark knight's demise. It has been eight years since Batman was killed, and the Wayne enterprise collapsing into separate companies.

The city has been quiet ever since, no big colorful super villains, or crazy costumed lunatics. Just the regular daily shower of thugs terrorizing the streets at night, usual bank heists and the growing corruption of the police force. The population correlated the disappearance of true threats with the demise of Batman, and thus were cheerful the Dark Knight finally left Gotham alone. Vigilantes are currently unwelcome but greatly needed as an evil danger is brewing below Gotham, and rumors of the Joker and other villains returning are raising concerns in the streets.

You will be one of the new and hidden self-made vigilante that will soon join a team to vanquish the looming danger.

The kind of vigilantes ('heroes' being a ridiculous name in this RP's Gotham) I am expecting to see in this RP are amateurs, beginners, or old ones coming back from retirement. So this is not necessarily another "Teen Heroes RP".

Perhaps the limitations on the characters will be these:

- No characters powered by supernatural or mystical sources.
- No characters that are experienced in the vigilante business, as for the retired ones they were never really too keen in their days.
- None of the characters had any interaction with Batman or any of his allies, will in the most direct sense anyway.

So really at the core of this RP, we are trying to play with characters that decided to take justice into their own hands, inspired by Batman and his death.

Oh awesome, I totally have a character idea then, in that case.

Interesting idea, don't know if I will have the time to apply but the idea of powerless vigilantes is interesting.

Absolutely, it's a big city after all. I never really liked the reboot, except for the Court of Owls thing, that was some sick writing.
