... I'm willing to accept the poultice doing that in combination with some healing magic. It could be some exceptionally healing herb or something.

@Raineh Daze: my last post involved me talking to Sophia. Any response to that?

She's small, easily intimidated, and someone just got ploughed through a table and injured. Commenting on someone else's professed magical abilities is a bit outside of her concerns for the short term.

... also I missed that post when checking if I'd forgotten something, and I'm not really sure how to accommodate it anyway.

Again, I'm fine going through the dungeon one-armed. In-character, I'll try to make it as a challenge to the character to prove herself to the team. Who's bigger, badder, and more qualified than someone who can take on a dungeon with a broken and survive?

I'm also going to reason that the poultice is the setting's equivalent to ibuprofen and nothing else. Also, it was to my understanding that Sophia didn't have opposable thumbs to manipulate things with.

Er... the arm's healed. Or will be by the time we get anywhere.

Also, is Marcus SUPPOSED to be unlikeable and condescending? He's really coming off that way.

You continue to call him Marcus. That is not his name.

He is being written as a typical knight in shining armor, with all the overly friendly and somewhat daft tendencies it implies. Should you wish to see him as unlikeable and condescending, that is your prerogative.

Fixed the name issue, it's late and fit his last name. >_>

Reassuring people that they can do something they're confident they can do is condescending. That's not 'overly friendly', that's assuming people have no self-confidence. :/

And yet there have been comments about Sophia lacking confidence with her powers, especially in the most recent thoughts from Tanya. A man with a kind word for everyone would of course try to boost the confidence of one who lacks it.

Of course, if Marc Ferrus is mistaken, then he probably would come off as condescending without knowing it. But I attribute such things to him being daft.

Do you have any further concerns?

She lacks confidence in her ability to deal with mortal injuries. Not repair pre-set broken bones.

More importantly, Marc just randomly grabbed someone doing healing magic. Grabbing people during a delicate matter is generally not an advisable course of action. I would assume that doing it during any sort of healing action is a REALLY bad idea.

... also, wouldn't 'grab the shy person to reassure them' seem like a bad idea if he's supposed to be a kind person? She's not a stranger, so he'd know it's a bad idea. And if she WAS a stranger, it'd be rude in general. <_<

He patted her on the shoulder as he spoke.

You seem to have confused a grab and a pat on the shoulder.

Please clarify in your character sheet the nervousness and lack of confidence regarding mortal injuries. This is, quite literally, the first I am hearing about it, and I have perused all threads to ensure I did not miss it.

EDIT: Removed potentially inflammatory comment. It was uncalled for.

Okay, there's been enough trouble today.

If there's a problem, we can revisit it after people have had a chance to sleep.

@Shisa: just in case this "blue guy" you mentioned refers to Leander, please note that he is wearing a long sleeve hooded robe that covers him from head to toe, and wearing gloves and boots to hide more exposed areas. That is all.

Okay, I would have liked it if that situation last night had been handled a little more calmly from all angles.

But in any case...

@Boomrocker: Your character does come off as a little condescending, but if you're aware of that, it's fine. Not everyone has to immediately get along, it's just that I don't want any actual serious fights happening. I think the biggest point of contention was placing his hands on the healer while she was healing, which does seem like a bad idea given she's shy and it's delicate work.

@Raineh Daze: I know you want to make sure your issues are known but I'd really rather not have even more arguments spring up in this thread, so I'd really like if the posts explaining your issues were a bit calmer.

I think everyone's volunteered to join the party.

Is it time to start the quest?

... Okay, there are actually some people who have not volunteered or properly introduced themselves yet.

But on top of that, ignoring the healing attempt is just going to have Cristine get left behind. Tanya is not going to take someone with their broken arm in a splint and ignoring the post made to heal her so she could join in is not garnering you any favors. IC it was never going to happen unless she was healed, and now OOC you've outright ignored the post.

I'm not ignoring anything, I'm just really anxious to see what's at the bottom of the dungeon.

For the sake of time, it may be in our interest to gloss over the healing and cut away to be en route to there.

No, not to you, sorry.

The healing needs to happen, is the thing, and the post where it was started seems to have been ignored by @Descartes. Even if we gloss over it it still needs to have occurred for Tanya to take her along.

Also, don't I have to give exposition before we can go off to the dungeon? I seem to recall that being a thing that needed to be done.

Should you have asked, my character would have responded, insisting to be taken along. If she hadn't, she would have follwed anyways in search of alleviating her boredom. At least after she got a good night's rest and some breakfast for the hangover.
