I'm on my phone so can't really look at the character you suggested, but if you're talking dragons then powers like flight or fire seem some obvious choices, or maybe so that he can turn selective parts into a dragon at first e.g. dragon eyes for sight or dragon skin to resist heat (sorry, don't know a lot about dragons!)

Well let's see. Given Shou-Lao's powers I would go with Blast Power, Fire Breath, and perhaps Iron Fist (since that's where Iron Fist comes from). And later you can introduce more powers.

towards the end there, I was sort of writing as Batman, and I can still get in Bat Mode if no one else wants to write as Batman

Of course if I was completely terrible as Batman, then please, tell me XD

Everyone is back at the Academy. This is a reboot, so most of us are just taking a step back with character development. You have the opportunity to reimagine your character if you like. Some of the students have been attending for a year while others are new.
