Personality: mattering on the situation John can be kind and caring, or cruel and heartless. If you have something he wants he will most likely not care about what he has to do to get, but if you're someone he feels is worth his time. He'll throw down a lot for you.

History: Doctor John B. Gruger was a feild medic for the military. He spent several years patching up his brothers in arms on the other side of the world. He had grown up in Grayshire. It was a boring place when he was a kid, but when he was older he enjoyed returning home. It was an easy distraction from work. John never married his only family left was his mother, and while he was home he spent all of his time with her.

In the time before the Gray Bomb dropped John was in a terrible car accident. Driving home from the store with groceries for his mother a semi had lost control hitting several cars. It had just grazed John's car, but it had been carrying a load of gasoline. A fire had lit the truck on fire, and caused a explosion. Most of his body was burned and he had lost an eye.

Moments before The bomb dropped, John was in for surgery. Recently a new technology had come out to replace eyes completely. The surgery was a success, but as he left the hospital the Gray Bomb dropped. For some the moment they got their powers was almost pleasurable, but all John felt was pain.

He awoke that night. The town was in a bit of a chaotic state. It was mostly just confusion as people tried to figure out what was going on. John had his own moment of panic when he saw his own reflection. His replacement eye was black with a red circle, and his shadow from the streetlights stayed the same way no matter how he moved. Within that week John had learned the basics of his powers, but he didn't understand his eye until after what happened.

When the government attacked it was without warning. John awoke to his mother missing and his home on fire. Frantically he searched for her, but was pulled out of his home by government troops. They put him on the ground and put a gun to his head. He struggled at first, but there was to many.

Looking up from the ground he saw a man putting his mother into a helicopter. For some reason she was unaffected by the chemicals. So they took her. In a rage he forced the men's shadows to form spikes to kill them, but his mother was gone. One of his neighbors apparently grabbed him, because he ended up excaping with them to New York City.

Name: David Harkins

Personality: David has always been a quiet person. He's fairly socially anxious, and would just rather be left alone then have to deal with people most of the time. However, when it comes to the few people David is comfortable around, or when his is just plain alone, he's a bit of a sentimental guy. When he isn't busy trying to be the emotionless shadow he is in crowds, he can be quite the sap.

History: David was born and raised in Greyshire, although few his age would ever recognize him. With the exception of the small group of friends he had, David did everything he could to ensure that he was left alone. For some reason, he just never seemed to want to deal with most people. He was an only child, and his parents never thought much of his reclusive tendencies. Although he still attended college during the year, he still preferred the quiet and lack of people in Greyshire.

When the bomb came down, David had been walking around in the park. At first, he thought his life was flashing before his eyes, and he was seeing how things could have been. However, he also started to see things that hadn't happened yet. Certain he was going crazy, David ran home, and cowered in his room.

When David woke up the next morning, he noticed several things. First, the weird visions he had weren't as intense when his glasses were off. Secondly, he now occasionally was catching glimpses of things that shouldn't be there; things that didn't belong where they were but no one noticed. Certain he was going crazy, David began to distance himself more and more from his friends and family.

The night before the government's forces arrived, David had his most vivid vision yet. He saw what would happen to his friends. His family. His home. He also saw that if he couldn't make himself suddenly disappear, he would die too. To this day, David doesn't know how he managed to teleport that first time. However, after gathering his things and thinking long and hard about where to go, he suddenly found himself at his aunt and uncle's apartment in New York. To this day, David doesn't know if what he did was right. However, all he knows now is that in between his powers, the government, and a huge city of people he doesn't know, David just wants to disappear.

Name: Elijah Frey

Personality: Elijah is one of those people who can't seem to keep himself together. He has good morals and ideals, but it's common for his emotions and fears to get the better of him, especially in times like these. When Elijah steps into his "People Person" persona, he can be a very cheerful, charismatic and understanding person. Balancing the side of him that he shows others and the side of him that he shows himself, is one of his greatest struggles. Elijah can seem like a a very happy person, which he can be, but because he has this excessive care for what others think of him, he bottles up his feelings in order to make sure the people around him are okay.

History: Elijah grew up in the lower class. He was and only child being raised by a single mother. His mother , however, was a recovering alcoholic who was trying to put her life back together. His mother tried her hardest to be the best mother she could be, and for that, Elijah set aside his feelings about her alcohol addiction and encouraged her to get help. Because of her addiction, Elijah's mother couldn't keep a job for more than a month. This was incredibly difficult when it came to paying rent. His mothers on and off alcoholism went on for years.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?" Is a question Elijah was asked often, but he rarely thought about. he didn't care where he worked, as long as he could help out his mother make ends meet, he would be satisfied. Eventually luck came his way when he found a part-time job at a grocery store in the next city over. After a few short years, Elijah and his mother move into an affordable place in the city that Elijah worked in, the city of Grayshire. The city seemed quaint, which was perfect for the two of them. things were finally starting to look up for them.

On the day of the Gray Bomb incident, Elijah was working at the store until closing at midnight. That night was as ordinary as any other. When he arrived home his mother made a late night dinner than went to bed, Elijah followed suit after he ate. That next morning would change his life forever. Elijah woke up to see his mother packing everything she could into a single suitcase. She wasted no time explaining the situation to Elijah. Elijah went into his room and started packing as much things as he could. They had both rushed out of the house and drove out of the city to the closest train station. They bought tickets to New York City, the plan behind that was simple; in a city that big, who could find two people among the millions?

Elijah stood in New York City. The feeling of being overwhelmed by everything started to subside as he composed himself. From the moment his mother told him about the government troops raiding the city, to the time he got to New York, everything was a blur. Even one of the most important things...His mother was no longer at his side.

Name: Tia Centeros

Super Powered Name: Goes by many depending on who she's speaking to. A choice few:

Power(s): Blood Consumption, Blood Siphoning, Haemokinesis(personal manipulation of blood), and Osteokinesis(personal manipulation of bones).

Power Item: Her cross earrings

Appearance: Tia's got long black hair that reaches to the backs of her knees with a long blue highlight that goes along with it. Her ears are twisted and elongated, ending in a point that tucks itself behind her hair so as to maintain a semi-normal appearance. Her eyes are a rich chocolate shade, and decently large. Typically after the consumption of blood, her eyes begin to glow bright red and they narrow.

Deathly pale skin, with a bit of a peach-y hue. Her tongue is a dark-blueish black, which can be hard to notice if you aren't right in her face. Often wears cross earrings. On Tia's palms, when she's using her powers or attempting to siphon blood from someone, mouths grow that are near exact copies of her mouth. These mouths, however, do have sharp canines to a degree.

As for clothing, Tia wears mostly dresses and skirts. She has an odd preference for stockings and will wear them with most any ensemble. Along with that, there's typically a knife strapped to her thigh hidden by her clothing for use in case she needs a bit of non-powered protection.

Allegiance: Anti-Hero

Personality: It's not a stretch to say that Tia will do a lot of things for money. She's quite greedy, and enjoys the thrill of stealing, heisting, lifting, you get the drift. If you turn your back to her, more often than not, she will steal your wallet or anything else valuable on you. She's also quite flirtatious both towards men and women, and enjoys watching people react to her advances. Tia feels that personal space is a myth, and tends to say everything in a tone no higher than a whisper.

When it comes to her powers, and the powers of others, she quite enjoys being superpowered and uses it to her advantage whenever she possibly can. Although she'll tell you this and do so proudly, she'll have a hint of sadness in her eyes that might betray the message she's conveying.

If Tia was a sin, she would be Pride. She's very proud of her bodily form, her abilities, as well as her skills in terms of thievery. Although, as previously mentioned, Tia WILL do many things for money. So even though she's quite open with her status as a thief, she has no problem working for the "right" side, as long as they can give her a convincing argument or shell out the right amount of cash to get her legs moving.

History: I'd rather elaborate on this over the RP than put it all out here.

Name: Lexx Reeve

Super Powered name (optional): Black Mist Assassin

Power(s): Dark Energy and Dark Matter manipulation.

Dark energy allows him some form of telekinesis. He cannot apply constant kinetic energy to an object so it doesn’t really permit levitation and such but it allows him to apply sudden bursts of kinetic energy to an object allowing him to repel incoming projectiles or turn objects of his choosing into one. He can only do this at a limited range in bursts and needs to wait a few seconds between them.

He has the abbility to shift dark matter's property that surrounds him to make it visible and capable of interacting with the normal world. It materializes as black dust around him and he can create solid objects with it like walls, swords, spikes, poles and so on (can't create objects with moving parts like a gun). He can also monetarily shift other object’s property (including himself) to that of dark matter, basically making it disappear from sight creating a puff of visible dark matter in the process. He can then manipulate dark energy to propel it in this state and then make it reappear somewhere else. To the outside observer this would seem like teleportation. Doing this to himself or other organic objects has the unfortunate side-effect of damaging them and the more often it is used on them consecutively the worse it gets exponentially. Doing this up to 3 times would result in minor internal bleeding. On 7th or 8th attempt he might emerge from this state without an arm or leg. The range of this ability is also limited.

Personality and a bit of history: Lexx acts cold and calculated and usually believes the ends justify the means. He is brilliant in coming up with plans and strategies, as such he generally plans out his actions very thoroughly leaving few things to chance, but is known to take risks on occasion.
He is very untrusting of people he does not know or has just met, this being a direct consequence of the omega project. The project ruined his life in the idyllic town of Grayshire and as a result he is now on a quest for vengeance, intending to kill everyone involved in the omega project and anyone who stands in the way of his goal. While he would go to great lengths in order to protect his friends, he avoids getting close to other people as he considers friends tools that can be used by enemies against him.

Name: Jessica Hart

Power(s): Manipulation and projection of various energies, which are then projected as arc's of lighting or shockwaves.

Personality: Jessica is disciplined, focus and determined the result of her military upbringing. She also has a strong sense of loyalty and would do anything for those she trusts. However she can also be stubborn and pig headed and difficult to sway once she has made up her mind about something.

History: Jessica was a soldier and had grown up in a military family. Joining the military straight out of school she excelled and soon found herself in counter terrorism. For a while she had been tracking a group and discovered that they planned to detonate a chemical bomb on a small town somewhere on the eastern seaboard.

Discovering that Greyshire was the location she and her team made their way to the town, however they were too late and the bomb dropped just as there truck arrived. Jessica immediately felt this massive surge of energy and her truck went flying, killing her team. Jessica turned around and reached out in the direction of a street light and was shocked as it went out and she could feel the energy in her hand before she passed out.

When she woke up the town was in chaos and Jessica began assisting the local police in rebuilding the town and learning the basics of her powers. It was about a week later when the black ops soldiers came and began to arrest certain people, when they came for her Jessica resisted. After shooting dead two of the soldiers Jessica ran and after resigning her commission made her way to New York in order to both hide from whoever was after her and to start over.

Name: Carol Rorick

Super Powered name: Victoria

Power(s): N/A. Carol receives power from her item.

Power Item: Her wheelchair. She and it are bonded such that it is now like an extension of her and can move at her will. Quite helpful for getting around or the occasional spill. But those are just fringe benefits.

Probably most unusual is that it can transmute into her clearly out of place armor. Carol always had a fascination with the ancient gods which was apparently dictated to the item. When armored Carol is not only able to walk but capable of lifting 1 ton over her head with ease. Her appearance changes along side the item and she gains the durability to match her strength. Carol would have liked the ability to fly but it seems that even her imagination limited it to hovering.

Personality: Usually reserved, Carol is used to a more quiet life. She however is having to learn to be more bold as her newfound power has placed her in unknown territory. Having been on the helpless side of things she feels that she should use her abilities to make things better. Probably over idealistic given public opinion and the forceful reaction by the government.

History: Not a terrible lot to tell about with regard to Carol's early years. An energetic girl that loved to run and play. Quite a bit of that however was taken from her by a car accident. From that point on she had wheelchair bound. Not originally from Grayshire she had only lived in the town for a couple years before the attack. Even with the short time there she was known for not letting her disability prevent her from enjoying life. It did make some things a little more difficult and she occasionally missed being able to walk. But not much could be done about it right now, at least so she thought.

The Gray Bomb changed everything. Being in her state Carol was one of the first to be evacuated by local authorities. However, in only a few days it became apparent that whatever happened was no ordinary attack. Reports of people gaining superpowers prompted a swift response from the military. People were rounded up and seemed to just vanish. Carol herself was approached as it was no secret where she had been living during the attack. But as there were no traces of anything unusual with her she was left largely alone for suspects that were more clearly powered.

A month passed and even Carol hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Not being powered was a mixed bag in her mind. On one hand it would be really awesome to have powers. On the other it was a relief that she didn't have any because no one would be after her like on the news reports. And then weird things started to happen with her wheelchair. It would start to roll before she even had the chance to move her arms. Were it not for the event at Grayshire she would have thought the thing was haunted. Maybe she did have power but try as she might the chair was the only thing that moved like she wanted. Unable to figure it out she kept the strange behavior a secret. Of course a moving chair paled in comparison to what happened later. The wheelchair coming apart it twisted and stretched, changing color and physical properties, to become new clothing and armor for the undoubtedly surprised girl.
