Am I right to assume that the power placement thing is where we show our powers?

Hero or hero support?

Hero or sidekick basically. In the movie, those with powers that were considered benign or without immediate practical use for combat/saving people where listed as supporters. I.E. A guy that can generate electricity would likely be listed as a hero while a guy who could see in pitch black darkness would probably be listed as a supporter.

@Blizz Depends on how adaptable he is with his powers. That's another important thing to factor in. Someone like Jack could easily find himself placed in either group due to the nature of his powers.

@Saarebas Well everyone's going to their assigned positions for evaluation, shouldn't be to hard for your character to slip in there.

@MonsieurShadeThis might clear that up but I dunno

Jacks power to command ink allows him to create any entity and bring it to life as he wishes,he can also turn his entire body into ink which opens up the power to shapeshift

Examples of things jack could create(extend to but is not limited to)
Swords
Vehicles
Armor
Firearms
Crossbows
Shields

Monsters
Demons
Animals
Thralls

And anything in between, again this is not his limit, I can't exactly think of a limit for a power that allows you to Flipping create what ever dafuq you want to create and more.

@Blizz Ultimately this isn't my decision. I was just explaining what could lead to what. The important factors are how well one can use their abilities or the abilities themselves. I mean take a look at Dimitri for example: The only reason I stated IC that he managed to squeak by with a hero ranking during his first year is the fact that his powers play an obvious offensive and defensive role despite his pacifistic nature and general inexperience using his abilities at the time.

With Jack there are indeed limits, just not immediately apparent ones. For example his drawings are limited by imagination, which although theoretically limitless, will not always guarantee a solution to a problem immediately. Adding to that, it's pretty hard to create something while in combat, simply because the brain would be forced to multitask between figuring out the most appropriate tool for the job AND keep up with the fight enough to avoid injury. Then you'd have to take into account that ink can be diluted, evaporated, or even burned away. So people like Ptolemy and Xiu Yong would be very high risk individuals for Jack to fight. Lastly, and most importantly there's Jack himself, or rather his body. I'd like to assume that none of the people thus far are capable of using their powers or fighting indefinitely, simply because of the fact that the body can only do but so much before it gives out. From what i've seen, just about everyone here can be put down in some sort of way that would be considered normal: fatigue, blood loss, gunshots, stabbing, bludgeoning, suffocation, drowning, burning, electrocution, at least one of these things can be considered a very real threat to any individual character.

@MonsieurShadeI'd have to assume that electrocution could be a hazard for jack in his ink form, though I don't exactly see how Ptolemy is a high risk person(or fish person) to fight

i agree @MonsieurShade it all depends on how you use your character.
you listed things like Swords, Vehicles, Armor, Firearms, Crossbows and Shields. those would be good for hero support because you are assisting the hero with weapons. or you can make them yourself and be the hero.

for both my characters, Eve would be a hero, if it wasn't in her nature to do no violence, so she'll become support.
and Ava is Hero Support because her power is to assist more then action.

My character has nothing against attacking or violence, the way I see it, he would gladly take out a bad guy.

Water is known as the universal solvent. Enough of it would very easily disperse and dilute ink to a point where it would be near impossible to use properly. Due to Ptolemy's hydrokinetic abilities he could, in time, render the usage of ink by Jack null if Jack were to provide some sort of opening.

@MonsieurShadespeaking of water, dosent ink contain water, if that's the case then jack could slip through stuff that isn't water proof, in hypothetical theory.

I think @Saarebas 's character will go well with Xiu myself. though if anyone else wanted to team up with her that'd be cool too.
