Flight Hazards

The air condensing properly as Raelis followed his adversary, increasing his speed to gain on his position as the creature changed trajectories and aimed for the statue. Sighing quietly, Raelis brought forth the stone, dust, and pebbles that Maelstrom had gathered from the destruction of the previous statue and the ground while he'd remained on it. Following this he pushed the materials into the pockets of pressurized air with other air currents, and then released the air forth.

The pockets of air rocketed forth, increasing in velocity to 40 mph and flying right past Jordan. As they exited Maelstrom's area of influence, the pockets lost their pressure, diffusing outwards and spreading the many chunks of rock, dust, and the many pebbles into an area only 3 feet in front of his adversary. Raelis pulled air to him, ready to disperse it when it got to him, but hoping that it would impede his adversary's movement.

Raelis' surroundings had reached 280 degrees while his sword had reached 780.

He intended to end things soon.

Jordan was burning and there were rocks flying about. Through the sound of crushing rocks, Jordan was able to more or less get a constant sonic picture. As the wind blew, Jordan was kicked up among it with his small, winged body. Jordan had nine minutes before he turned to ash, and his antidote was on the ground, far from where Jordan could safely reach it. Jordan was losing.

Still, Jordan stayed alive, attempting to dodge all the debris which flew around him. If nothing else, it made his opponent more mad. As an act of defiance, Jordan flew closer to Raelis. As he neared, Jordan began to urinate, his urine evaporating and leaving a foul smell as it hit the ground.

No Longer

Blowing the smell from around him with a gust of wind, Raelis noted the increased proximity and took the opportunity for what it was. His opponent's actions had been nothing but disrespectful and for that he was about to pay the price.

Suddenly the air around Jordan's body began moving chaotically, creating uneven gusts of wind in random directions. It was a small cyclone of tumbling air currents. Raelis, rising upwards in the air, flapped once to slow alter his trajectory and snatched at Jordan's tiny body. However, he didn't do it with his hands, no, instead small holes formed in the feet of his armor allowing his wicked talons to extend and slash at the hopefully helpless Jordan.

He had had quite enough of this farce.

The full scope of the heat Raelis now wielded now added up to 1150 degrees. His surroundings were 290 degrees and his blade was 860.

Jordan would soon feel the Embrace of Rhay.

Jordan's plan seemed to have worked exactly as he thought it would- in fact, slightly better. As Raelis reached out, Jordan quickly morphed back into his human form and attempted to grab Raelis's talons as they reached out to claw Jordan. With both hands, Jordan attempted to take what bit of exposed flesh he could, and keep it out of the armor. "HOLY FUCK" Jordan screamed out in pain. "I like you" Jordan groaned "You make my job hard. Let me reiterate though; I've fought fuckers like you before."

From within the wound, Jordan formed several balls. "Trypophobia" he groaned. There was one inside Jordan's chest. From his experience, if it were taken out, it would cause something known as 'tension pneumothorax'. From that very same hole, however, a ball of crimson energy was formed, made of blood from Jordan's own body.

The balls shot from within Jordan's puncture wounds and were trained straight at Raelis's talons- still embedded within Jordan's body.

The Mark of a Champion

His claws sinking into Jordan's body slightly, Raelis noted the shift in shape. However, the man only managed to snatch at some of his talons as none of his actual toes were exposed. Smiling within his helm, Raelis retracted his talons, let the air fall from his wings momentarily, and then kicked at the man's head. Regardless his wings would fill with air before the projectiles went off and in a flurry of swirling wind Raelis would thrust his great wings down, sending powerful gusts down to redirect their trajectory entirely.

"No, you have not," he called out in response to his earlier quip, the slots in his armor closing to protect his feet once more.

He gave the man the slightest of respect for his cunning.

Only the slightest.

"Pretentious fuck." Jordan said, digging his own hands into his fresh wounds. Then, Jordan was naked, bearing his junk for the world to see. With his left hand, Jordan covered the hole in his chest, keeping air from escaping. With his right hand, he formed five balls of crimson energy, one over each of the fingers on his right hand. Jordan reared his hand as he prepared for the attack, then threw the balls as the flew toward Raelis.

Jordan fell. The ground was not too far below. Jordan wondered if he would die from the ground first, or the sun. No- it was too soon for death. Jordan sprouted wings once more and maintained himself in the air, as a bat. His best bet, simply to run away.

The Tipping Point

His blade reaching 1020 degrees and his environment a roasting 310, Raelis was ready to make his move. However, the annoying whelp made another move, firing spheres of energy up towards him. Raelis prompt response was first to fly from their path and second to sweep them further away with wind. He then moved to chase Jordan, following his descent, but so as to close the distance to 7 meters once more. He didn't like these spheres of his and surely didn't know their purpose, but given the context clues it couldn't be anything positive.

"You waste your time and mine," Raelis called to him, "I find it quite irksome." Raelis stayed parallel to Jordan as he flew.

4 minutes. Jordan had to escape the false bastardization of sunlight his opponent was creating. In another desperate leap, Jordan pointed his head to the sky. The vampire bat flapped his wings knowing full well his opponent could catch up. Jordan had no clear advantages. While he fought better in the dark, his opponent could produce light. Where he assumed his opponent could not fly with his armor on, he flew better than Jordan could. It was troubling, but Jordan was confident in his win as he always was.

Letting out another cry, Jordan attempted to figure the distance between him and his opponent, making sure to fly away. He reasoned that the other side of the wall was not far, except it had already been destroyed earlier. It was a fight then, without any boundries- not that anybody could call it a fight anymore.

Jordan bled ever so slightly as a bat, losing more blood than he was comfortable or really even familiar with. It pained him, and his sucking chest wound did not make things much better. Still, the vampire flew.

Futility

Getting Jordan within 6 meters once more, Raelis began to send a continuous barrage of wind from above to assail his opponent. Additonally he made the air that would have held Jordan up not move instead. All he needed was to ground him momentarily and then it was over.

The ambient heat was beginning to become problematic. His gauntlet had reached 100 degrees, though it was rising rather slowly in temperature due to its ventilation system and the wind he was using to cool it. The rest of his armor was still only around 80 degrees entirely due to the wind and continuous heat transfer.

His blade had reached 1100 degrees and his surroundings had reached 320.

It was almost time. If he just condensed the ambient heat and assured that his attack would land it would be over.

"I can make your death swift, or you may continue to reside in futility," he said as his last warning.

Jordan used his echolocation one last time, locating one more thing which he assumed had not burned yet- his coat, and the mask that was in it. The bat squeeled before attempting to fly to the area over it. Once there, Jordan changed back to a human, sprouting a thin webbing just before landing, in order to slightly break his fall. The ground was hot. Jordan reached into the coat and put on the mask.

"HEY FUCK FACE!" Jordan shouted "FUCK YOU." Jordan tore open a wound in his stomach, and before his opponent could do anything, Jordan shoved a finger into his own chest. Then, he used his trypophobia to damage his own heart, causing the vampire to fall down in comatose. For all intents and purposes, he was dead; or at least more dead than usual.

Gratefulness of the Unmarred

Landing even as his opponent reached into his wound, Raelis outstretched his free hand, but it was too late. Even as the heat from his blade and environment rushed forwards, it was over. The man collapsed to the ground before his eyes. Raelis roasted him anyways, surrounding him with scorching heat till the body was nothing more than ash. "Dishonorable," he said as the body finished burning, shaking his head. The light around him dissipated rapidly. Raelis released the heat energy into the air, allowing it to disperse as it rose upwards.

Sighing once more, Raelis drew the nanobots that now resided in the remains of Jordan's body, to himself on the wind, allowing them to nestle back onto his armor. No point in losing even one if he could help it.

Turning away from the remains, Raelis looked to the sky, his eyes to glowing fiercely.

It had been short and he supposed for that he could be grateful.

Perhaps his battle here would benefit him in some other way.

"I would return to the Hall," he called out to the empty battlefield, almost sure that the Skallagrim could hear him.

A moment later, he vanished.
