Taking into account her weapon and Persona skills, she seems like she would be the zoner type of character.
Alexei and Akane kind of fit the grappler type of playstyle, I can kind of see Noboru as one as well, albeit a flawed one. Rui would obvs be the shotoclone/Ryu. Chiaki I imagine being a charge character. Everyone else Idk.

Also, Nobs would be a Phoenix Wright style character.

I couldn't find anything on Ayano's weapon in her CS, so I just went with the first thing I thought of when all I had was the persona. Trapper probably isn't the best fit but I just like the idea of mudo being an indirect attack considering its original nature in the games. I didn't specify, but Akane is a powerhouse/grappler type that has the stronk command grabs all the nooblets complain about.

As for Noboru, I get what you mean with the psuedo-grappler but I've always envisioned him as a Lil Mac type, overall straightforward and strong but has debilitating flaws. Rui would've just been the Ryu, but when Sho and I made mock-ups, he had Rui with a stance system of a drawn and sheathed sword. He's like Narukami but significantly more complex. Chiaki, I just thought she would play keepaway well with her whip and then whittle away with footsies and projectiles.

Not sure how Nob would work like Wright considering Wright has the evidence/court system and I'm not sure what you could use for that. Unless you're hinting that Noboru will become an attorney later in life...?

Think of it as a Faust and Wright mix. He's Wright in my mind that he finds sentimental items. He's Faust in the sense that the items are RNG. If you collect 3 different sentimental items in a row, if Noboru can land a hit on an enemy with a certain move he powers up insanely. But if you find two of the same item or a non sentimental item, the counter starts over. He has about 1.5 times the health and damage of Wright without the power up, and gets the same multipliers with his power up. The Maya part comes in with Aiko, who trips up trying to protect his brother.

That's how I envision it anyway.

So basically he's a less worse Pheonix?

Also everyone should get their ultimate when they do their finishers.
