Kassy chuckled a bit, then removed most of the bracelets. The mirror necklace she left on. "There, I hope that's better." Her orange eyes widened as the boy shook off an impressive pair of wings. "Oh! Those are lovely..." She realized she was staring and probably being rude. "Oh, yes. I'm Kassandra, clan Keigwan. Um..." She looked at her hands for a moment, trying to remember the proper greeting for the situation. She'd read up on human culture, but perhaps too much. Was this country for bowing? Or hugs? Handshakes? Fist bumpers? "Er..." Not quite able to recall, she stepped forward and hugged him, gently and politely. "So pleasant to meet you."

Kijani snorted faintly. "I can't say that I'm at all worried about that." She still remembered her first day, and not with any kind of fondness. "What are you taking this year, besides the required? I've signed up for modern combat tactics with Kraven, and an intro to flight with Angel." She had to admit, she was excited about that second one. Even though she didn't have her own wings, her paper would suffice. She'd been practicing.

Connor was almost embarrassed as Kijani asked about classes. Connor had decided to focus more on his weaknesses, and improve them then his strengths this year, as well as to try and not rely on his suit as much. There would be times he knew when he might not have his suit.

And Connor was lacking in his fighting skills. "I'm taking Kraven's class too, as well as Captian Americas, and Dr Connors, of course" He said, "Flight? You can make something to fly with with your paper?" he asked curiously

"Back when this place was still the Avenger's mansion they had an entire labyrinth of rooms and such hidden below. Granted during a major attack prior to it being rebuilt into the Academy it reduced most of the tunnels to nothing and has even caused some to collapse." Kaden said opening the manhole up. "Except for a few that a friend and I have been reopening...consider it 2 or 3 secret routes in and out of the Academy." he said

Mike blushed as she hugged him before he hugged her back and said "My name is Michael Fertar, but I prefer to be called Mike. I'm the son of a dragon". Mike then let her go and pulled a flower out to give it to her. "Consider this a welcome to the Academy gift, I can be your guild around this school if you like Kassandra" Mike offered her with a bright smile and a flirty wink before he offer her his hand to lead her on this grand journey around the school.

Returning from the phone Kagerou nods a bit. "J'onn is on his way. He should be able to help her more with that." Estella seemed to realize the futility of communicating and stopped.

The alien girl looked rather frustrated until she heard another voice in her head. The Martian Manhunter had a lot of personal experience communicating with different species, particularly transitioning to English. Being another psionic they seemed to take fairly easilly.

For the rest standing around there was silence. Finally J'onn spoke. "I believe I can help her. From what I can gather her name is Esuteruraru and her arrival here was not planned. Given a couple sessions I'm sure she will have an easier time talking with people."

Ryan let out a breath of relief after hearing that. "Oh thank god, I really didn't want to teach an alien how to speak English. I can barely teach my idiot brother how to not scream nonsense constantly." He said with no sarcasm whatsoever. Ryan took a look at his watch and panicked. "Crap! Gotta go, good luck with the talking thing!" He ran away and towards class as he ran past Kyle. "Might wanna hurry to class new guy!" Ryan yelled as he dashed into his seat. Kijani grinned hugely. "I was waiting for you to ask that. I've been doing a lot of work, and I've made a glider that I can really move with. I'm going to need your math and physics expertise to really make sure my designs are really perfected. But... yeah, I can fly." She seemed almost giddy. "I can't wait until we have some free time, and I can really test it out."

"Here, for you!" The blue color of the gem looked like his hair, and glittered in the morning sun. "I hope you like it. Now, can you direct me to..." She checked her schedule. "Ancient weaponry? Apparently that is my next course. Power Development is done, I'm sorry to have missed it."

Roxy tilted her head. A manhole cover? They were going into tunnels? She hadn't expected that. She should have. But she really hadn't. Well it would definitely would be interesting. The tunnels would be less crowded. If there was little to no light she would have the advantage. This could be exactly what she needed. Unless the others could see in the dark. But surely there couldn't be too man that could do that.

Class? Kyle thought. He knew there was a second class. Didn't it have something to do with establishing an alter ego? Did he really need to go to that. I don't know why I'm doing it but I though why not, it might be fun". He smiled at her before he said "Follow me then, and I shall take you to class where you'll have to sit and grow very bored with everything that is happening believe me. Using your power is Power management is a lot more fun then anything else is, at least for me in any case". He made a fireball appear in his hand before he made it vanish again and smiled at Kassy before he showed her the door to class and took a deep breath.

A conversation for a other time, however, as she crouched to look down the tunnel. With a quick sharp movement a ball of magical energy appeared at her palm and began to fly through the darkness, lighting the walls for a moment before it disappeared from their sight. Sitting quietly, her head was tilted as if listening to something the others could not hear. Apparently satisfied she straightened up again. "So it does, definitely useful to know. Though I fear..." Kat said, looking around and seeing students beginning to move between classes, "that now is not a time that we can further explore it."

"Yes, it does take effort. However, I use lightweight paper, so it's less of a strain. It likes to cling to itself, so it's more like..." Kijani gestured with her hands while trying to come up with a suitable explanation. "Like running a current through magnets, I guess? Is that correct?" She shrugged slightly. "In any case, I wasn't able to use the resistant paper we made. There's not enough of it, and it doesn't... flex as well as the plain stuff."

"Oh! That's excellent! You're a fire controller..." Kassy looked cheerfully at the fire before Mike extinguished it. "There are so many sorts of people here. I can't wait to meet them all." From her pack, she took a large, reusable water bottle and drank. She seemed to drain the whole thing in a matter of seconds. "And perhaps there's somewhere that I can fill this up again?"

Connor thought on that, and nodded, figuring that the paper linked in easier then thicker paper, "Well, we can try and figure out something that's light weight and still water resistant" He said thoughtfully, "Nothing is impossible, after all" He smiled, "I'd like to see you flying it"

Mike raised an eyebrow at how quickly she had downed the bottle of water before he smiled and showed her the fountain where she could fill up her water bottle, As for Mike being of a British and Japanese descendent, had brought along special made tea which his mother taught him how to make before she died. It satisfied a dragon taste buds but would taste far too hot for a human. "Well, you certainly are from a water kingdom that's for sure" Mike said with a laugh before he took a sip of his drink.

Kyle growled in frustration as yet another guy bumped into him. He grabbed the guy and pulled him towards him. He bared his teeth at the kid as flames started to appear around him. First his hair then his head and finally hs hands. He could have gone the whole way but he was trying to stay in control. The last thing he wanted was to end up in the principles office on the first day of school. "Watch we're you're going."

"So we're not going into the tunnel? I guess we can try again after the next class. Isn't Lunch after the next class? Roxy asked trying to remember the schedule she had been given. She was pretty sure that there was not one class between now and lunch. She searched fr er can. She was going to need it to find her next class.
