A sway and swagger, brought along with cool winds that mixed with the smell of blood and gasoline, was how she walked in. With a large kitchen knife in her right hand, a garbage can lid on her left, and a small sack slung over her shoulders; dressed in a dark, tight leather bikers outfit with pink high-cut rubber shoes, along with her unevenly cut short hair, and her wild, random movements, made Alice for a strange sight. The woman looked around the pavement as she approached the Walmart, catching sight of multiple corpses, both human and not, on the ground.
Alice walked towards one of those bodies, and gave a forceful dig at it with her foot. Seeing no reaction from it, Alice gave a happy little sigh. Lifting the corpse up by the feet first, she took off it's shoes and socks, and afterwards did the same for it's shirt. Alice repeated this process with all the corpses she could find, eventually ending up with a pile of clothes and a whole cluster of shoes.
"Well this is a nice haul right here! Not all of them are old though, so I wonder who . . . ?" Her head swerving side to side, Alice looked out for any sign of life. As it turned out, she heard them before she saw them.
Turning towards the Walmart once more, the sound of shattering glass and falling objects betrayed the presence of the people inside. A light bulb hung over her head as Alice thought of a plan. It had been awhile since she had been with a group of survivors: The last - and admittedly first and only - one she'd joined ended up being robbed of supplies and all of them were eventually eaten, but in the time she'd spent with them, getting the necessary accessories for living had been the easiest it had ever been! Getting close to whoever was inside was probably a good idea!
"Hm, but if I remember correctly, they didn't really let you in a group if you were useless . . ." she recalled the previous group she had been in and how they had turned aside anyone who couldn't offer them any assistance. At the time, Alice was nearly subject to the same rejection, however, she had spent a whole night persuading their leader into accepting her, which he eventually did.
In any case, how to prove her worth?
"Well, we'll see how that goes after I meet them~!" she said, carefree as you please. In a way, this was her own evaluation of prospective partners. After all, a partnership is mutually beneficial, so evaluation of another was never one sided, right?
Alice swaggered into the Walmart, without a care in the world, kicking away bodies gleefully as she did so. She eventually stopped after making sure there weren't a mass of living dead nearby, "HELLO!?" she shouted as loud as she could, facing upwards and letting the sound echo through the Walmart. "IZZER ANYBODY IN HERE? IF YOU'RE ALIVE, PLEASE RESPOND, IF YOU'RE NOT, FEEL FREE TO COME ANYWAY!"
