I'm sorry. I'm new at this and have no idea what I'm doing. Please forgive me.

So since I can't ever find a Steven Universe forum that had space I decided I'd make one myself.

I was thinking it could take place during the rebellion between gems who were loyal to Homeworld and those who wanted to protect Earth. A Homeworld-centric RP would be interesting since we don't know too much about Homeworld and most RPs are centered around the rebels anyways, but there'll still by Crystal Gems of course. However if people would rather it be Crystal Gem centric that's cool too. I don't know if we'll be having canons or not, that depends on how big the group is, because if it's a small group I'd rather it be OC only. The RP could take place just before the rebellion and we can sort of ease ourselves into it and have tension build slowly, or in the middle of it. We could also have a few Kindergarten born gems as well. The RP will most likely focus on a group of soldiers from Homeworld.

So is anyone interested? Homeworld or Crystal Gem centric, or maybe centric of newborn Kindergarten gems? Start just before the rebellion or in the middle of it? Canons or no canons? Would you rather this be in Casual or Free? I know my grammar might not seem Casual worthy but I put much more effort in IC posts.

I'm sorry if this is extremely disorganized because I'm tired but I hope the idea gets across, and I didn't want to write out a detailed idea yet because there's a lot of things I haven't decided on yet, I don't know if anyone will join, and because I don't know how many people will be joining.

Also is anyone available to be Co-GM? I've never been GM before so I need the help and would really appreciate it.

PS - If you want to join you can reply with which gem you want here as well. We'll probably just have one gem per a person, at least for now, so pick wisely. I myself am probably going with Bronzite.

@Rick Sanchez Lemon Citrine isn't a gem. There's Lemon Quartz which is a type of Citrine but the name Lemon Citrine itself isn't used as a gem name. Slight gem and mineral freak, blame it on my sister. I'll just put Citrine for you unless you'd rather it be Lemon Quartz. Also thank you for the offer. I got a lot more interest for co-GMing than I thought so I'll just have the RP going for a while and pick who I trust best for the job and if your RP dies and I end up trusting you most I'll let you know.

@alois Alright, most votes so far go to casual, before the rebellion, and Homeworld centric. I already told someone else who wanted Pink Diamond that it wasn't allowed; all diamonds are off limits. You can have a diamond imitation like purple Zirconia (moissanite is already taken but there's others like Spinel) if you want and there's lots of other purple gems like Tiffany Stone or Charoite or Spessartine. And there's also Dragon's Breath Opal which is REALLY cool.

Heh, I realized that after doing some googling, sorry about that. I was more focused on the color scheme, so my decision might've been rushed, but I figured since Pearl isn't technically a crystal either it wouldn't be to much of a deal and I opted out of editing that. Either way, I'll trust your judgement. I'm quasi-new to the fandom, sort of, and I'm not really much of a geology buff either. (shrugs eternally)

Anyways I'd definitely prefer Lemon Quartz for the color scheme, since I already drew the character and stuff.

I hope the co-GM thing pans out for you! You seem really open and nice, and that's really all that makes up a good GM in my opinion--the rest comes with a little practice.

As for the setting, I'm really neutral to it. I'm fairly certain I'll have loads of fun if it's set on homeworld or earth (and I'd be really interested in seeing your interpretation of homeworld) so I'm cool with that. If I had to pick an ideal, I'd go with the casual section, set in homeworld as they're discovering earth & the kindergarten--so right before the gem war. But you have my interest regardless.

What I am curious about is whether you're going to have an ooc chatzy.

Pearl may not be a crystal but pearls are still considered gemstones, and not all crystals are considered gemstones. Pearl and Lapis Lazuli are two examples of non-crystal gemstones (and even then Pearls usually are calcium carbonate like Aragonite and Calcite and one more crystal I can't remember), and Rainbow Quartz is actually just quartz put through a vacuum with some metals to give it a coating that makes it look the way it does but if you snap it in half it'll look just like normal quartz. And then there are crystals that aren't gems like my sister's OC Evenkite. I'm pretty cool when it comes to what is considered a gem for the most part. And Lemon Quartz it is, then.

And thank you! Though there's also the whole responsibility, experience and being in charge thing which I'm not so good at but I hope I'll be as good of a GM as you think I'll be. And thanks for the input as well!

@TheLoneBanette Ah sorry yeah, I just saw that. Thanks so much for pointing out Dragon's Breath Opal, it's gorgeous, I'll reserve that if I can! I was mainly using 3 gem sites to research and none of them had it on there, otherwise I probably would have gone for that immediately. Also, off topic, but you've been a fantastic mod so far. I'm really looking forward to this if I'm accepted!

@Emma It's a show. I'd think it'd be better to learn a little first. The episodes isn't too long (10 minutes) and you could marathon a lot of it pretty easily and if you don't think you want to watch at least read a few wikipedia articles on concepts like the gems and fusions and stuff. I mean you can join but you might get lost VERY fast and it'd be really sad if you left because you felt lost.

@alois You may reserve Dragon's Breath Opal. I pointed it out because it's my favourite kind of opal (there's a lot of pretty opal varieties and DBO looks even prettier in real life I swear photos don't do justice for a lot of stones like Tiger's Eye) and yeah a lot of gem sites don't include varieties of gems so though you might know about Jasper you might not know that there's a lot of varieties of it like Poppy Jasper or Ocean Jasper (I thought that's what the fusion for Lapis Lazuli and Jasper would be before it was revealed to be Malachite). even things that don't have 'Jasper' in the name like Jaspilite or Morrisonite or that there are things with Jasper in the name that aren't jasper like Dalmatian Jasper or Coquina Jasper. @RhineQueen I just looked at the CS. ManoftheNorth PMed me about a day or two earlier and asked if Moonstone could have a rapier so you'll have to change that. I'm also confused about the powers because there's not much written on how they work and their limitations and I'm not sure what you mean by 'short range blink teleport'. And the writing example is too short and I don't feel I can judge it well enough with what was written. Everything else is good.

@urukhai Of course it's alright! Which gem do you want? As long as it's not a Diamond, pre-existing gem and one that doesn't have a colour too similar to the others in the RP it should be fine.
