"Hm...Not a very nice guy, are you?" said Girania. "You certainly didn't give those bandits a warning, so I don't really see why you should care about anything being 'good'"

Girania had seen this before. People would be surprised to know just how many warriors go for the "strike first, strike second, strike some more, and when everyone's dead say something to keep them from coming back" method. She's also seen this type of situation as well. The one where the big, tough guy beats all the weaker people first, then comes across someone more powerful and decides that they deserve to be warned before fighting. It was funny the first few times she saw, but at this point, it's starting to get old.

"I guess you're right, though. Fighting wouldn't help much...but it is kinda fun to imagine how they'll react to being burned alive."

Girania chuckled quietly at the thought before calming herself and looking back at the caravan. The people inside were still alive, so that was good for her. The driver and horse were dead though. Well, that's what happens when you don't really care much for their safety. Oh well. The real obstacle was the Vaenshu bodyguard.

He knows some impressive Fire magic, but so far it only seems to be the type of stuff they teach in school. The Armor's tough, but probably keeps him from moving that fast. The hammer and build indicate that he's strong and capable in close-combat, so there's something she'd have to watch out for, if they come to a disagreement. Hm...Girania would have to play by the Magical juggernaut's rules for now.

"Okay!" Girania clapped her hands and put a bright expression on her face. "Just let me take the merchants, and you can bring their caravan to its destination!"

Once Azai said that he was 2000 years old Cia just stared at him for a moment, then burst out laughing. "You admit that your 2000 years old?! Oh my gosh how are you not in a wheel chair right now?" Cia said laughing and making fun of him. "Not to mention dentures, which are really nice by the way they almost look real." Cia added commenting on his teeth. Cia and Lance both believed that the older you were the slower you were, not to mention the more health problems you would have. "Do you tell war stories all the time to anyone who listens?" Lance added not wanting to be left out of the fun. The pair were truly light hearted, they didn't care if someone tried to intimidate them through anything they would just throw it back in their face.

After wiping the tears from laughter from her eyes and taking a deep breath to compose herself she smiled at Azai. "Your just asking for a fight, this isn't going to be avoided will it? And as for my employer, he asked that I not disclose that information." Cia said before she stomped her foot on the ground making the earth around both Azai and the wolf come up to take a hold of both of their feet and legs. Lance in the meantime during this first attack leaped towards the wolf in an attempt to grab it and snap it's neck.

Unbothered by the comments Azai smirked, wanting to prove them wrong becuase with age comes experience, and for a demon age also means power. Demons and Venshu power were always measured with their age. Their physiology is different than humans, their energy is driven by negative and positive electrons in throught the universe, and that is an infinite energy but their age determines how much of that energy they gather and store to use as a source of power for their magic and physical abilities. Where humans borrow energy to use right away, that's why demons and Venshu are immortals without the use of magic.

She obviously wasn't gonna be easy to give him her employers name, and wasn't threatened by him. She went for the first move raising the ground and holding both him and the wolf. Azai activated his monochrome by 40% of his energy. the colors of life faded and everything around him was weakened and slowed by that percent, the earth that caught his legs crumbled setting him free. Lance was leaping towards the wolf, was already a slow fighter considering his undead status, so that gave Azai plenty of speed advantage over him. He leaped towards the wolf standing infront of it smirking while he commenting on Lance's speed "So what were you saying about my speed again?" and held his great sword with his right hand raising it vertically, waiting for Lance to land infront of him, to deliver his slash upon him. This was going to be hard battle for Azai, he was forced to fight while protecting that wolf, if it wasn't for the wolf it would've been different. Azai wanted to protect that wolf and deliver it to his brother, he felt that it was the least he can do for him after he save his life. But he had a plan that was in motion that would change the outcome...

Raph was no fool, those bandits would've attacked with reckless abandon even if he'd tried to talk to them and so he'd used his full strength to drive them back. This woman was different however, she was studied in magic which meant that she understands how precious energy is. She made him an offer he had no right to accept and so he decided to counter, "These are my clients, the people not the goods. I can't just let you walk off with them, I also doubt I'll be paid very well unless they keep all of their supplies so how does this sound? You join our caravan until we reach our destination and any bandits we encounter we'll tie in a line to the back cart and you can take them when we finish our business?"

Raph didn't enjoy the idea of forcing people into slavery, however he realized it was the only way to prevent further damage to the caravan. He had no clue who this woman was but he understood that she was dangerous. All that mattered to him at the moment was ensuring the safety of his clients. "I doubt you'll go into the city, so we'll hand over the bandits when we're outside of town. Does that sound satisfying?" Raph understood that there was no sense in asking if it were fair so he picked his words carefully.

"Hm...nah. I don't get anything out of that" replied Girania. "I already know where those bandits are, and I know they won't try to run, so I don't think I'll be taking your deal."

Girania never was one for diplomacy. She never liked making deals. They take forever to figure out, and she just can't stand people trying to save others in such a fashion. It bored her. Still, she needed those people for her spell, so...

"I'll give you one more chance. Give me your clients, and bring their goods to wherever they wanted it delivered. Don't worry, I promise to send them right back to you by tomorrow."

Girania's grin did not leave her face as five marble-sized fireballs floated around her fingertips.

"Or, I can kill you, possibly kill some of them in the crossfire -heheh...crossFIRE- and end the day with this beautiful marsh ruined by one area turned to ashes."

Lance was stabbed through the stomach, however he smiled at this. He put one hand on the mans head, the other on the shoulder. He then tore the head off the shoulder. The body fell limp. "Your pathetic..." Lance said in a mocking tone as he dropped the head. The wolf at this point seemed to be growling like crazy even barking, it knew that this man with a sword in his chest wasn't something to be trifled with.

Cia stomped the ground again making the ground around the wolf come up and attached it's self to the wolfs legs. At this point Lance tore off the wolfs head. "That was rather annoying.. but atleast he won't be bothering us anymore." Cia said as she left the mine the wolfs heart was in a box so it wouldn't get crushed, she had put it on her horses satchel. She would leave the undead to roam the mines and town, she had no use for them now. Of course it was possible to track her down through them. Lance was currently eating the brain of the wolf, the brain was for him in the first place. Brains tended to be his favorite part of the body, however only those who have properly used it would do for him as brains that hadn't been used much were disgusting to him, it tasted like cardboard.

Raising his hammer and mustering all of his concentration, Raph began to create mirages with heat and bent the light around him to his will. He wove the light around itself, distorting Girania's vision and not only made several replications of the caravan with the mirages, he also masked the true location of the real caravan. Realizing that he only had one shot at confusing Girania and letting the caravan escape Raph unleashed an ear-splitting howl and charged at the mad woman, aiming to stun or cripple.

"Can I borrow this, please?" she asked politely. Ada's hands and forearms were pressed up against the still-warm body of a fallen bandit. Blood trickled from his ears and his right arm was mangled, as if crushed beneath a boulder. The bandit leaned against the back of a tree. His mouth was slack and his eyes were only partially closed. Although most would see lifeless eyes of horror, Ada saw a beautiful shade of sapphire blue.

The soul offered no response to her request. Perhaps it was still angry with his friends for leaving him there to die as they tried to escape the powerful hammer man that the mean fire angel told them to attack. From afar, she had seen him stop to rest and plead with his fellow bandits to help him. But they, as well as Ada, could tell when they were looking at a dead man walking.

She slowly started to remove the bandages from her head as the sound of fire echoed in the near distance. She pressed her forehead against his and hummed an unfamiliar tune as she pressed herself closer to the corpse. A loud howl accompanied the ending of her little ritual and as she quickly pulled away, her head snapped in the direction of the sound, blue and brown eyes wide with alarm.

"Thank you, Wesley," she said, turning back to the man; "You should forgive your friends-- you know you would have done the same if you'd been in their shoes. Still..."

She kissed him lightly on the cheek and gently closed his eyes. Regardless of how inevitable his death was- it was nice to have some smidgen of proof that your life wasn't meaningless when you died. Even if he was already dead and his soul grudgingly sat there in silence, she hoped this would help him feel a little better.

She stood and patted the dirt from her dress. Ada had no desire to get involved with the dangerous fight nearby. She had a bad feeling about the terrifying figure that had engulfed the thoughts of Wesley and the other bandits.

She had hoped to make it to Gael by noon. Ada has heard tell of an organization whose sole purpose seemed to help people. After wondering about for the past several months, Ada felt that such a place was meant for her. She was far to young to understand how unlikely a sickly looking young girl such as herself could possibly join any reputable group, but that was a mountain of bad news she had yet o encounter.

Not wanting to risk alerting either of the two voices she heard in the distance, she started to clumsily climb up the tree that Wesley’s corpse rested under. She would wait it out. In the distance, she could barely make out several caravans. A bit of the nearby shrubbery harmlessly caught fire in the marshy swampland. The moisture in the air would never allow too much damage to come about from flames. She found herself pondering on the life of plants as the fight continued.

"Ooh, a shooting game!", said Girania with glee. "Which one's the real one?"

Girania looked around as if she was a little child at a carnival. Oh, what fun she would have shooting at each of them. Yes, she might end up killing what she was trying to catch, but at this point, there was just no reasoning with their body guard. He decided to make the illusions and force her to attack, so it was all his fault.

Of course, even trying to hit any if them was not allowed by her enemy. He had charged toward her, yelling at the top of his lungs. He was trying to attack her with his hammer. Girania just didn't understand why so many warriors thought she'd just stand in one place for them to hit her...then again, they all had to start their battle somehow. In any case, in retaliation, she just flew up into the air and generated a fireball the size of her fist. Leaving the fireball to linger where it was, Girania landed behind the warrior. This time, she took hold of her chakrams and looked as if she would fight him physically.

After the battle was over and things had calmed down Cia started to head out of the cave and then town. They met a bit more resistance from a few more guardians but they for the most part were taken care of the undead that Cia had summoned earlier. Lance taking a few brains and livers on the way. "Man this has been a great day!" Lance said following Cia behind closely. "Well this should be enough to attract some attention too, maybe even enough to have us recognized as an actual threat now." Cia said referring to their past of not even being considered a threat before.

Chances are there would wanted posters out for them within a few days. To Cia this just meant that stronger warriors could come her way, ones that may even be willing to become undead like Lance. Having more undead like Lance certainly wouldn't hurt either.

As the two approached the road again they could hear what seemed to be fighting. As they moved forward they decided for now to just stay hidden and watch. There was no point in getting involved, though there was a bit of a following of undead near them, that part would be a bit hard to miss.
