This RP will be set in an alternate reality Clone Wars. The differences however are not that big. Essentially this Clone Wars will be focused the 'what if' scenario of what if the Confederacy was lead by a group of Sith, rather than orchestrated from the shadows by a single Sith Lord and his apprentice. In this setting there are just as many Sith as there are Jedi, and they act in similar ways. What I mean by this is, just like with the Jedi in the Republic, Jedi within the Confederacy act as Generals and lead their own personal fleets.

This is where you, the player comes in. You will take control of either a Sith or a Jedi 'General'. I will have it set up with a point system so that everyone can start with a custom fleet within a set limit. From there, everyone is free to move to where they want, set up bases and attack planetary installations. But I will warn you. Once you lose your fleet, you will have to start from scratch.

Repeated victories will earn you more points that you can 'turn in' for reinforcements. For example:

Your Jedi leads his fleet against a Confederate orbital defense fleet. You win, and are awarded 3 points. You can save your points, or spend them on reinforcements. Let's say an Acclimator costs one point, and a Venator costs 3 points. So you can add 3 Acclimators to your fleet, or a Venator, or whatever you want. You can spend those points however you want. The points will also be used for many other things such as building bases. You can earn points in multiple ways too, not just through combat. Missions, discovery, and even politics can earn you points.

IC Points are essentially your fleet's 'Favor' with the Sith or Jedi council, and thus, their willingness to put a larger number of ships under your command or what have you.

Everyone will start on a specific 'home' world. Worlds are not limited strictly to the original lore's standings except certain places. Geonosis is Confederate and Coruscant is Republic for example. But all the other worlds are open to be under whatever control you wish. Just, be sensible about it. Don't pick your homeworld as a Sith as the closest planet to coruscant for example.

Everyone's job is to spread the influence of their faction, so you will take your fleet and try to conquer other worlds. The more worlds each faction has, the more points will be spread evenly among its members.

The faction that conquers the map first wins. This will involve both ground and space forces.

More details will be given if enough interest is shown. Sides will be kept even as best we can. I'm thinking 2v2 just to start.

Anything goes, not like this is a ranked match. If your team is betrayed then they're betrayed. If you get attacked by someone who clearly overpowers you in every way, then try to lose with pride.

And if you think this belongs in the arena section just let me know.

Count me in on the side of the Republic; no way can I pass up a Star Wars RP that includes things like building a fleet!

Well I'm in for the side of the Republic, so if we can get one more Sith player then I think we can get this started pretty quickly!

I'd like to RP as a CIS General on Mechis III.

I think the only thing we really need to work out is a map. Star Wars is a big Galaxy, and while I don't really intend this to be a 'focus on winning it like a game' sort of deal, I think we still need some sort of way to keep track of what factions control what systems. I had an idea for something like this.

That may be a good idea.

Also found the original. It may be better to add an imgur link or something so we can have a better view.

If possible, it be great to keep it that size. And shouldn't Kamino technically be Republic?

Be interested in this, honestly do not care whether I am Republic or Sith. I will join whichever side has the least players when the RP actually starts.

Yeah I tried keeping it that size but by time I download it, edit it, and upload it again it has shrunk down. So I suppose then we will just have to use the original and keep a list of what systems belong to who. Plus I don't think that map has all of the systems on it. I couldn't find Meches for example, but maybe I just missed it?

And yes Kamino would be Republic. This will need to be a group effort because there are a ton of things I will probably miss xD Like Geonosis. I didn't find that and set it to CiS

One thing to keep in mind though is that we'll use the freedom of this being an alternate universe so that not every world will be the same. Not every world that for example, in lore was strictly loyal to one side or the other will be the same in this RP. The only ones really should be Geonosis is the CiS main system, Coruscant is the Republic Homeworld, and Kamino, if lost, would completely halt clone production for the Republic.

Also let me just say that while this was tagged as Advanced, I myself do not know every detail of the Star Wars lore. I don't know too many of the systems or in depth details about everything. So it'd be a given to say everyone can expect me to pretty easily miss things.

I've looked for a few maps, but all seem to at least miss of a few planets such as Manann. But the one you have is probably the most easy one to use in terms of who controls what.

All the Legions!

I think we'll just use the unedited version of the map and keep a list of what is controlled by who rather than editing it every time something changes hands. Besides, don't know how to keep it the same size when I upload it.

I think I'll set up the OOC and we can start doing character sheets. Character development will focus on the individual Sith/Jedi Generals rather than politics as it would in your regular Nation RP.

Thread is up. Please post character sheets in the OOC, and once they are confirmed then you can post them in the Caracter section.

Just two quick questions.

A. Do our characters get to RP separately from our armies. For example my Sith character is on Coruscant looking for intel and the Droid Fleet are somewhere on Naboo?
B. Do our characters get a 'free' personal ship such as this. cdn-www.swtor.com/sites/all/files/en/s..

Yes you can play a non force sensetive Commander, yes your Generals can RP completely separate from the fleet, and finally, yes you can have a personal ship but I'd rather it be more fighter sized. At most a small frigate. Basically just not something that will turn the tide of a battle when pitted up against capitol ships.

And I guess me saying that depends on your view of what a frigate is. Just you know. Small, not a capitol ship xD

Paint me an interested third party, if you can. I'd rather run a relatively small mercenary/neutral faction so I can have fun playing both sides for maximum profits, but also steeper costs when it all hits the hyper-drive. Kinda like a privateer from our own 12-1800s

I'd be willing to play with less starting points due to my lack of official backing, and thus a reduced force. I don't expect to be able to go toe to toe with a player from either faction. However, if I allied, however temporarily, with another player, that player would have a slight edge, or perhaps simply something to help mitigate their losses until they earned enough points to replace what they had.
