--------Story--------
Six years have passed since the events of the X and Y games. A billionaire Pokemon Professor by the name of Andrew Willow has a dream of building his own Pokemon League. A visionary obsessed with building a bright future, he started up a program for hopeful new trainers, determined to build his league from scratch. This new league would be located on a large island southwest of Johto known as the Saro region, where Willow Labs is located, and the headquarters of D.E.P.T.H. (Delivering Everything Pokemon to Trainer Hands) a large corporation that is the lead manufacturer of Pokedexes and other various tools for Pokemon Trainers. The Saro region is also home to a diverse range of Pokemon, large mountains with deep caves, maze-like forests, and also where rumors of Legendary Pokemon sightings have occurred.
Fliers have been sent across the land. TVs and radios have aired commercials. Newspapers are showing full-page ads. Professor Willow made sure no one missed the news of this event. "Calling all Trainer hopefuls! Do you have dreams of becoming a master trainer, a Gym Leader, or even the Champion of a brand new Pokemon League? You could see this dream through today with Professor Willow! He's building a brand new pokemon league and he needs the help of young people like you! You don't want to miss out on this, so hurry over to the Saro Region to make all your dreams come true! All travel expenses will be paid for by Willow Labs. For more information visit our web site or call 1-8XX-XXX-XXXX!" Ads and commercials like these were everywhere.
But its not all Skitties and rainbows... Rumors have been going around of a new criminal organization rising in the Saro region. Could they be out to sabotage the new league? What's their goal in it all? There could be some serious trouble brewing.
---------Rules----------
- No Godmodding
- No Mary Sues or Gary F*cking Oak-Sues
- No more than two trainers per person
- Draexzhan is the overlord of this topic. His word is law.
- Despite Pokemon being a game targeted towards young audiences, this RP won't be quite as innocent. People and Pokemon will get hurt. Maybe deaths will happen. This is *slightly* more realistic than, say, the anime. Being zapped will do more than leave you dizzy and on the ground. That said, keep things relatively clean. Nothing TOO gruesome.

-------------Accepted Characters:-------------
Name: Andrew Willow
Age: 35
Appearance:
Pretty much exactly like these pictures, except he also wears brown corduroy pants and there's a strange looking stone embedded in the head of the butterfly pin. Also 6'4"
Trainer Class: Pokemon Professor
Personality: Welcoming and kind with a big smile, he has the charisma to be a great salesperson. Generous towards and obsessive over the younger generations, determined to build them a bright future at any cost, which is why he will pay for any travel costs for hopeful trainers. On the flipside, however, he utterly despises greed and selfishness, and anyone who shows enough of it. Also, despite his harmless and friendly appearance, he is a very strong and dangerous pokemon trainer, perhaps strong enough to be a champion.
Backstory: Andrew Willow is the son of Damon Willow, who is the CEO of D.E.P.T.H. and owner of large shares of Devon and Silph. He had nearly everything he could want from the very beginning, except for one thing: His father Damon was keen on him becoming a businessman and inheriting D.E.P.T.H. when Damon retired, and as such, kept Andrew near him at all times, which meant Andrew couldn't pursue his dream of becoming a Pokemon Trainer, as there was barely anyone to battle in a region without a Pokemon League. But that didn't mean he couldn't watch battles on TV. He watched some of the greatest battles to ever be broadcasted. And he recorded them. And studied them. He knew the tricks of some of the strongest trainers to ever live, so while he didn't have strong Pokemon, he did know what to do when he did.
Upon reaching the age of 21, his father finally let him travel on his own, with a couple billion to fund himself. He traveled to Sinnoh, where he raised himself a team Pokemon, and over the next few years, brought the gym leaders down, one by one, until he had all eight badges, and challenged the Elite Four.
This was when his father decided enough was enough.
Out of fear that his son would never return once he became the champion, Damon sent him an email demanding his return immediately. Being a bit too compliant towards his family, Andrew did as he was told, and lost his only chance of becoming champion.
Around this time, an investigation was being done regarding alleged dealings between D.E.P.T.H. and the criminal organization Team Rocket. Damon Willow had a lot of power, and as such, was able to soften the blow for himself immensely. Andrew Willow, on the other hand, who had unknowingly been the one to make many documents between the two organizations go through, ended up being stripped of his gym badges and trainer card. He would never again be able to pursue his dream.
But this didn't stop him. He was determined to make the world better by collecting young people and making them Pokemon Trainers, and as such, became a Pokemon Professor, and studied the ways of Pokemon, to get as close to his dream as he still could.
Favorite Pokemon Type: Colorful Pokemon that possess elements of grace and beauty.
Age: 35

Favorite Pokemon Type: Colorful Pokemon that possess elements of grace and beauty.
Name: Andre Bellamy
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Trainer Class: Movie Star/Rich Boy
Appearance: Andre is a tall young man, standing at exactly six feet tall. Although he doesn't like to do so, he excersises a little bit so that he doesn't look like a fat slob, and is physically fit and toned as a result. He tries not to spend too much time in the sun, claiming it is bad for your skin, so he has a fair complexion. He keeps his blond hair short, and neatly styled at all times. There is never a hair out of place. He has a round boyish face, and large baby blue eyes which he claims are his best feature. Except for his hair and eyebrows, he has no hair on his upper body. He's also pierced his earlobes so he can wear earrings.
Andre is very much into fashion, especially expensive designer clothing, and he usually dresses more formally than kids his age. Being famous, he has a certain reputation to uphold, so most of his clothes are very expensive made by well-known designers. His wardrobe mostly consists of button down dress shirts, vests, trousers, and dress shoes. He even wears a tie and blazer on some days. He always keeps his clothes neat and tidy, never a thread out of place. It's rare to see him in a simple T-shirt and jeans, but he does own a few. His wardrobe contains a lot of bright colors, especially pink, his favorite color. He carries around a pink messenger bag that has red hearts on it, and he occasionally wears a pair of pink sunglasses. His favorite outfit is a pink dress shirt that fits him well, paired with a red vest over it. Around his necks is a red silk tie, and a burgundy blazer with shiny pink buttons over that. On the bottom he wears brown trousers held up by a belt, and a pair of black dress shoes with pink spats on them, and brown socks that go up to his calves on his feet. He accesorizes this with a pink beret on his head, and a pair of diamond stud earrings decorating his ears.
Andre has developed a taste for diamonds and gemstones. He will occasionally be seen wearing random pieces of jewelry every now and then, regardless of whether it was intended for a man or not. He enjoys experimenting with fashion, and likes trying out many different things, including wearing women's clothing sometimes. He feels women get nicer clothes than men do, and it lets him get away with wearing more jewelry than a man can. He can pass for a convincing woman when he's all made up.
Personality: First off, Andre has tastes that are usually considered femmine. His favorite color is pink, and a lot of his things are pink and have hearts on them. He likes fashion, and he has a taste for cute things, and he's not really emabrrased by it. He really doesn't understand why boys in this country have an issue with guys liking that kind of thing. He just guesses it's because they're insecure about their masculinity.
Andre is very obsessed with beauty and looking good. As a Movie Star, he feels he has to maintain a certain image, and because people don't want to be friends with an ugly person. He always makes sure he is perfectly groomed before leaving the house, and as such it takes him a while to get ready in the morning. Because he puts so much effort into looking good, he hates getting dirty, as it ruins all the work he put in.
He really values his relationships. He goes to great lengths to make friends and fans everywhere he goes. He often attends parties to meet new people. Someone not wanting to be his friend upsets him, and he will try to make that person his friend whether they want to be or not. For the same reason, he also likes love and romance, and as such he comes across as a flirt. He openly hits on people (he's openly bisexual, so guys as well as girls) he considers to be attractive, though he is usually more polite about it then most guys, because he is genuinely looking for a relationship. He also likes pairing people up who he thinks would make a good couple, regardless of gender and orientation, and jokingly teasing the two involved.
He can be charming and manipulative when he wants to be. He knows just what to say to win people over, which sometimes helps him get his way in many situations. While he is polite and well-mannered, and typically acts friendly towards others, he treats people like objects to make himself feel better. He can be self-centered, and disregards how other people feel and what they need if it's not benefiting him somehow. It's not something he does consciously, it's just how he is. He was brought up believing that people's affections can be bought, and it's worked out for him so far.
Having become used to being given whatever he wants, Andre has been spoiled by wealth. He has an appreciation for the finer things in life. He wears expensive clothes, drives around in fancy cars, takes exotic vacations, and freely spends money like it grows on trees. He is very generous with his money, since he has so much of it, trading a a few dollars for something better is no problem. He's also found it much easier to woo people with money. He especially enjoys being famous, and being adored by many. He doesn't mind the the craziness that comes with being a cleberty either. Bad publicity is still publicity, as long as people are talking about you, then that's all that matters. Andre has always been accustomed to life on top. His worst fear is losing it all, whether that be ruining his movie career, or losing his hard earned friends.
Despite being Kalosian, and using French words a lot, he can speak Englsh just fine. He just thinks everything sounds sexier in French.
Backstory: Andre was born in Lumoise City, Kalos. Andre's childhood is not what one would consider normal. His parents are both famous actors, and since his birth he's been in the lap of luxury. Due to his parents being famous actors, and therefore often busy, Andre rarely ever saw them. He was also homeschooled for a while, and was rarely able to leave the house. He felt lonely being in a big empty mansion with only caretakers that were too busy to keep the kid entertained. Andre's parents brought him expensive toys to make it up to him. For a while the shiny new toy would make him feel less lonely, but soon he would get bored of it, and the loneliness came back. He thought something better would solve the problem. When his parents announced a new trip, the young boy cried, and of course, his parents brought him a new, better, more expensive gift once they got back. The same thing happened, it would make him feel good for a while, but soon he'd get bored again. He would continue to ask and receive more and more expensive things throughout his childhood. It was great, and Andre grew accustomed to wealth and having anything he wanted on a whim. It was nice, but it still wasn't enough, the bad feelings still didn't go away.
At some point, his parents thought it was a good idea for him to start interacting with other kids, so they enrolled him in a private school. When Ande started going to school, and meeting other people his age, he got a lot of attention from them due to the fancy toys he had that they couldn't afford. At Recess, every kid wanted to play with him. Being with others that likely made him feel just as good, if not better, than opening up a brand new toy. It was then he thought that if new toys won't help, then maybe people will.
He made lots and lots of friends, and Andre was happy for a while. Soon his family had to move away, and Andre was transferred to a new school. Having lost all the friends he made, Andre was upset for a while. He soon worked to make new friends in this new place, and he was happy again. Then his parents moved once more, and the cycle continued. He was never truly content though, because he always had to leave all his friends behind.
At the age of thirteen, Andre's family moved to Virbank City, Unova to further their careers. There, his parents encouraged their son to follow in their footsteps, and become an Actor. They put him in acting classes, and used their connections to pull a few strings, and get him a starring role in a major film. He didn't want to do this at first, but did it anyway to please his parents. While making the movie, he came to enjoy being on a movie set, and acting. When his first movie went to theaters, and became a box-office success, he enjoyed all the fame and attention it brought him. Or more specifically, he liked all the adoring fans. He also enjoyed the piles of money, expensive things, and all the glamour that being a movie star brings. He decided to pursue a film career, while also attending school when he wasn't filming. After doing that for a few years, he became as famous and successful as his parents. He is often chased by Papparazzi and crazed fans, and he is also often the subject of ridiculous rumors in gossip magazines. Usually, they involve him spending absurd amounts of money on something lavish, being seen at a party, or romance rumors with various other celeberties. (Not long after hitting puberty, he discovered how attractive people were, and the joys of love. Although he's never had a serious romantic relationship, much to his disappointment.) He doesn't mind all the craziness that much. As long as he has all his adoring fans, then all is well.
Andre has everything now, devoted fans, a luxurious life, and piles of money at his disposal. Despite this, he still isn't satisfied. He feels like something is missing, but he isn't sure what that is. He recently decided to take a break from filming for a while to do the whole Pokemon Trainer thing he never had a chance to do when he was younger. After seeing an ad in a magazine, he decided to take a trip to the Saro region to try his luck there.

Favorite type: Fairy (He likes any Pokemon he deems cute and/or pretty regardless of type, but since most Fairy types fit this description, he specializes in them.)
Name: Griselda Gilbert. Hates the name, refuses to take any other.
Age: 24.
Appearance: Not an eyesore, but hardly attractive- Mediocrity tends to characterise most of Griselda's features. She is shorter than average and quite visibly so, especially thanks to a bad posture she's developed from far too many nights spent hunched over a book or computer. Her hat, a pale grey beret, does nothing to remedy the situation. Fairly athletic genes went mostly to waste on her (although she does tend to walk most places), leaving a figure that cannot be called thin but will never pass for full. Dull hair, an oddly colourless shade of brown, either sits in a single short braid that runs down to her shoulders or lies in a mess over her face. A wide mouth with pale lips sits under a somewhat-freckled nose and cheekbones that seem to cower below a harsh, bird-like gaze of hazel eyes. Ears pierced but without any jewellery, the only shiny that Griselda wears is an old family locket with a picture of herself, her parents, and he baby sister when she was still in primary school- Which even then usually remains in her pocket. Veiny hands with a wide, almost masculine grip usually rest by gripping the sides of a long, heavy brown coat. One of the few things that make Griselda easy to mark out is that she wears layers in most weathers, only losing her scarf, heavy coat and pants on the hottest days, on which she may (heavens forbid!) wear a plain skirt. She looks best, and feels most at ease, in a lab coat.
Trainer Class: ...I'll put 'Researcher' here, 'Scientist' if it has to be canon.
Personality: Clever enough to aim for a Master's degree in Biology, likable enough for friends that can be counted on the fingers of one hand- Parents included. Griselda's real smiles are rare and usually kept to herself, and her laughter gets little exercise and erupts in a cackle at inappropriate moments before fading into a sadistically gleeful grin. When not amused, which is most of the time, Griselda's expression is either blank and tired or frowning and staring violently, even baring her teeth slightly. Very quick to give merciless criticism to others but very quick to back down and act reasonable when someone challenges her own opinions. Griselda regrets nothing she does and tries to make that perfectly clear, but fortunately for her many aquaintences, she does not actively hurt others even if she takes great pleasure out of watching trivial pains (this is how she procrastinates when too tired to do any research). Sarcastic, rude, but witless when amused, defiant and more bristly than the average Ferrothorn when not. Is merrily confused, and sometimes uncharacteristically quiet, when anyone is kind to her. On the flipside, she behaves almost ashamed whenever she manages to help someone else. Tends to die down into a quiet snappishness when reading or busy with something else she considers important. Rarely becomes emotional for no apparent reason (Or at least none that she will admit to herself, although it's not exactly hard to spot that kind of loneliness) but loses none of her bitterness even when upset, lashing out even more harshly than usual. It is these moods in which she drove away most of her friends in university, and Griselda's social situation is not getting any better.
Backstory: Short, not exceptional, but it does help one to understand how she became what she is now. Griselda was born as a first child into the quiet Gilbert family, who lived in a modest apartment in Castelia. As a girl, she was quiet, studious, and inquisitive in her way. Defensive but not unfriendly, she got along reasonably well with other students, and even better with her teachers thanks to her eagerness to learn the right answers and tendancy ask the right questions. Her favourite topic was a friendly Trubbish she had found and befriended on a street once, which later became her only companion. When she was nine, Griselda's sister Sylvia was born after a long suspenseful wait, during which her parents became infectiously cheerful and excited. A few short weeks after the birth, however, Sylvia died of a lung infection, very quickly plunging the Gilberts into a long period of grief and solemness. The suddeness of the emotional turnover left Griselda with a state of deep confusion, but no grief. This confusion was what made Griselda start to consider harder questions, and very soon she encountered the world where answers weren't easy to come by. Gradually frustration and long-delayed heartache melted into an uncaring bitterness when, as a teenager, Griselda gave up with understanding her or anyone else's emotions, and dedicated herself to finding answers to questions scientifically.
From that point, Griselda entered a cycle in which she became steadily more frustrated as she watched her friends drift away, and steadily more alone as she became less and less likable. While her parents had recovered and were greatly pleased with her academic progress, worryingly, no amount of social events at high school or university would bring her any companions. With only rigorous study seeming to buy her contentment, her parents offered to send her to the rapidly developing Saros region in order to further her research there among the flocks of eager scientists and students uncovering its secrets. Pleased with the deal and hoping for a change of pace where she could work on her thesis, Griselda gladly accepted the offer, even if it meant leaving behind her longtime friend Mr. Smelly, who was now a Garbodor and lord of the dumpster.
Favorite Pokemon Type: Her research topic- Artificial Pokemon and Pokemon that don't seem to make sense without humans, eg. Sylveon, Bronzong, Sigilyph, Klefki, and her Garbodor.
Other: In the original roleplay she was made for, Griselda was nineteenish and sent on a journey through Unova in a final attempt by her parents to teach her to be loving before she went to university- And before her second baby sister came into the world. In this one though, there was no new sister and Griselda remains an unlovable bitch even in Saros.

Name: Daktoa Jacqueline "DJ" Black
Age: 19
Appearance:
Trainer Class: Musician
Personality: Call her Dakota or DJ Black or even just DJ, she's the same person whether she's having an everyday conversation or working musical hardware for an audience. A natural virtuoso, if Dakota can hit something in different places to make different sounds, you can bet she'll try to make a drumkit of it. Socially, her dialect is the same as her music preferences: loud and upbeat. Ever the optimist, she's the kind of person who will try to lift the mood of a total stranger if she sees they're feeling down, or would give some spare cash to a homeless fellow if she passed one. Her theory for social activity and music are the same: "Put out your best and you won't be let down." Actually, everything social about her points right back to her musical inclinations. Even her speech patterns come off as rhythmic.
And of course, she loves to battle Pokemon. For performance purposes both on a stage and in a stadium, DJ's favorite types are Electric and Ghost. Not fond of going straight for the kill, Dakota prefers to play things slow with status inflictions (most commonly burns and paralysis) and hang on the defensive until she sees a surefire shot to end things with a big finishing blow. It may come across as her not taking her opponent seriously combined with her constantly-jovial tone, but the fact of it is that she treats every battle as though she were battling a champion. She puts out her all, and expects no less from anybody else.
Backstory: Fresh out of Unova Region's Castelia City, Dakota Jacqueline Black wanted music from the start. Only possible problem in that regard was that she was and actually still is tone-deaf. So how does a musician compensate for being tone deaf? Dakota, who had decided her own name could make a good stage name as DJ Black, had two theories to how she could fix that. One: study music theory until she can simply write and know. Two: dazzle the crowd during live performances. Dakota chose to go with both of these ideas. For years, she poured herself into music theory, learning every which way and trick to know in music. She was still tone-deaf, but could at least write music people could like, and since she had a good eye, it was easy to set up dazzling coordinations of special effects. It only left one question. "Where do I get these special effects on my tiny budget?" The answer hit her at about the time she started getting into Pokemon battles.
Specifically, Electric and Ghost type Pokemon were capable of the most special effects that were controlled enough to not destroy anything or harm the audience. As some time passed, DJ Black scored a live gig in Castelia. She contacted Pokemon rental services to receive Electrics and Ghosts that fit her needs, and nobody seemed to suspect she was tone-deaf in the least. In the two years since, she's landed a few more gigs, but it's not like she's particularly renowned just yet. In her terms, "I'm in that awkward stage between getting pretty popular, but not quite and local hot-shot."
Favorite Pokemon Type: Holds equal love for Electric and Ghost types. Her two all-time favorite Pokemon are Rotom and Pumpkaboo.
Other: Claims her stage name came from a long-time fondness of Ghost-types instead of her actual surname being Black. This is a lie.

Name: Treize
Age: 14
Appearance:
Trainer Class: Professor's assistant (In his hometown, not Willow)
Personality: Shy, but bonds very quickly with pokémon. Has studied pokémon for years, so he knows all about them. A bit less intimidating than the picture above, though. In fact, he generally is likable, just not very easy to make friends with.
Backstory: Growing up and studying pokémon with the professor has been most of his life. His parents, both decent trainers, went to Hoenn to help stop Team Aqua/Magma (Take your pick. I suppose I'll have to decide eventually, though, for backstory purposes.), and never returned. Lacking his actual parents, he was all but officially adopted by Professor Oak. Being an orphan, Treize became a clear introvert, spending more time on his studies than anything else, and has learned almost every aspect of battling, even more than some gym leaders. Unlike his interaction with other children, Treize has grown quite close to pokémon in general. In addition to being an expert on pokémon, Treize also has a great amount of talent for guitar, and has been known to offhandedly strum songs while studying. Treize has never actually done a pokémon battle, but has an ability to learn to do many things that he has no foreknowledge of very quickly, and he's been studying pokémon as long as he can remember, so he certainly will catch onto that quickly as well.
Favorite Pokemon Type: Multityped birds. Or faux-dragons (Charizard, gyrados, and are there any others?)

Name: Kayden Linwood
Age: 19
Appearance:
Trainer Class: Psychic
Personality: Calm, Collected, and calculating, Kayden is the almost exact opposite of his sister. Whereas she is loud, a bit obnoxious, and a bit of a flirt, He is calm, collected and can come of as a bit cold or arrogant. It's a common mistake people make when they first meet him. He's more than a little on the serious side, and does have a bit of a superiority complex, but he isn't unfriendly by any means. His face is usually donned with a smirk, or neutral expression. He enjoys reading books about pokemon and other researchy topics. He is sharp witted, and he doesn't miss much.
When he does speak its usually short, precise, and very, very, blunt. Which has lead to more than a few hurt feelings and him only having a few friends in his life which is something he doesn't entirely understand, since he doesn't see why people would be offended by the truth. Its the Truth right? Might as well accept it and if you don't like the truth, change it. That's what he believes anyways. He hardly ever raises his voice, unless its to get his sisters attention. His relation to his sister is a love hate relationship. A good old sibling rivalry has been going on with these two from the day they were born. Abigail is just about the only person he will openly insult, or otherwise fight with. Which is usually constantly. The thing they fight about the most - who is older. Technically, they were born at the same time, but each one says they were born seconds before the other.
Backstory: Born at the same time as his sister in the Sinnoh region, the two had a cushy childhood. Their parents, while not incredibly wealthy, weren't exactly middle class either. They ran a store in Veilstone that sold pokeballs, clothes, pretty much anything if they could put a price on it.
Kayden was the more soft spoken of the twins, always has been. While he enjoyed the mischief him and his sister got up to as kids, he was always more reserved about it and unlike her, didn't openly brag about it or look for ways to make trouble and was more or less dragged into it most of the time. He didn't really mind as he had fun himself, and someone had to make sure she didn't go overboard with one of her pranks or antics.
After the move to Snowpoint, Kayden became less interested in his sisters antics, and more interested in pokemon and how things worked. His personality changed, some would say drastically. He would say that it was the way he always was and that he was simply going along with his sisters antics, but that is debatable.
Favorite Pokemon Type: Psychic/Steel types are his favorites. His favorite pokemon would probably be Metagross and Gardevoir.

Name: Abigail Linwood
Age: 19
Appearance:
She stands around average height for a girl her age, with long purple hair. Its dyed of course, she actually a natural redhead. While she doesn't exactly look the best, she's not a total slob either and could be described as above average in looks.
Trainer Class: Hex maniac
Personality: Hyperactive, a bit flirtatious, and doesn't know the meaning of the phrase 'Calm Down' She is the exact opposite of her usually stoic brother. She's also prone to being a bit on the violent side, preferring to attack first and ask questions later which has ended up with her in trouble with people and authorities more than once. She is quite inquisitive, and once something peaks her interest, she will follow through with whatever it is until it is done, consequences be damned. She is generally good natured, and doesn't take most things seriously.
She is quite friendly, a little overly so, some people would say, and can be quite...touchy with people (As in she has no meaning of personal space). If someone can put up with her antics and her occasionally hitting on them jokingly, though for some reason she has only very few friends, though that's probably due to her somewhat forward and violent manner. Most people can't really keep up with her. She doesn't care much for her appearance, and usually focuses more on things relating to pokemon.

Abigail was the more outgoing of the twins, and some might say the favorite child, though she will actively deny such accusations. From a young age she was always getting into mischief and dragged her brother along with her. The two, at the age were quite similar in personality with Kayden only being slightly less of a trouble maker than his sister. Eventually though, her family sold their shop and moved to Snowpoint city. It wasn't that big of a change, but its where she got her love of Ice pokemon, namely from a little Snorunt that hung around Lake acuity that she would play with whenever she got the chance, and became her partner in crime as they aged and as Kayden started to not take part in her schemes.
In short, her life has been pretty what she would consider uneventful and boring, and she wants to change that.
Favorite Pokemon Type: Ice and Ghost types. Favorite pokemon? Frosslass and Phantump.

Name: Rini
Age: 15
Appearance:
COPYRIGHT RINI-TAN ON dA. ALL HAIL RINI-TAN.
Trainer Class: Cute Maniac (Appeared in Pokémon Battle Revolution)
Personality: Rini is a bit childish, but this causes her to give up easily. If she is told to do something serious, she will do so. Rini is rather quiet and shy until you get to know her however.
Backstory: Rini grew up in Unova, in Undella Town to be exact. She grew up with her mother, because her father had gone missing after he took on his adventure in the Unova. This made Rini and her mother rather upset, but Rini was determined to avenge her father, and complete a journey herself. She would disappoint her mother if she didn't do that. One day, not too long ago, her mom told her about the Willow League and everything having to do with the Saro Region, and Rini soon traveled over to that region, hoping her adventure would start there. This was her chance to avenge her father.
Favorite Pokemon- Rini likes the cute pokemon that can be rather badass.
Other- Absol is one of Rini's favorite Pokémon, she is very interested in Victini though and will give up a lot for a Victini. Which is actually rather bad. She likes Fairy, Dark, Fire, Electric, Ghost, and Ice types.

Name: Sigurður "Sigur" Gunnarsson
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Trainer Class: Ordinary Guy (from PBR)
Appearance:
* Ignore the Gabite. I originally drew that pic for an rp where he had one, so yeah. He's also missing jewelry and shit because Jester's lazy.
Sigur’s definitely not the biggest guy in his age group, standing only at 5'8" with a slender build to match. He has a pretty pale complexion as his skin never tans, just burns when exposed to too much sunlight - a fact that has forced the youth to spend most of his time thickly clothed if not inside. He also has sort of long, pretty slender fingers people have called "girly" before, but he doesn’t really feel embarrassment over them; he has good dexterity, what’s there to be ashamed of? He'd like any of those stubby-fings to try and play piano like he does.
The guy’s hair is strawberry blond and, put in a single word, messy - always; name any direction and you can find at least a handful of strands sticking out there. His hair is spiky from the top and his bangs long enough to cover one of his eyes from time to time, which he surprisingly enough doesn't mind. He hates tying (or doing anything else, for that matter) his hair, so you’ll more often than not find it the way it was when he woke up. His eyes are grey and due to their light tone, they're often very striking... or at least they would be if he didn’t perpetually have a somewhat bored expression on his face.
He has earrings on both of his ears and a piercing above his left eye. The piercing is simple, and the earrings are diamond shaped, hanging a bit under his earflaps. He’s been told those’re feminine too. He’s told said people they’re more expensive than anything fuckers like them own. His usual choice of clothing often consists of something comfortable and "normal" - unless he's looking to start something, in which case he can dress up pretty flashy. Usually though, he just has on a pair of black, mildy torn jeans, a loose t-shirt with something witty printed on it and, in case it's cold enough for him to need them, an open jacket and fingerless gloves. Sometimes he has on some heavy necklaces and other jewelry as decoration as well. He rarely wears anything on his head, because he doesn’t want to flatten his hair.
Personality: As you’ll probably realize very quickly, Sigur isn’t a very talkative person. He’d much rather keep to himself than engage in idle gossip, especially with people he doesn’t know. He doesn’t see the point in chatting up random strangers just for the sake of being polite. In fact, he doesn’t see the point of doing anything just to be polite. If there’s one thing he hates, it’s people who fake and pretend just to appear nice and friendly, when in truth they don’t give a shit about you or your day. He thinks it’s much worse to fake and lie than to honestly say what you think, even if that’d end up hurting someone. Because of that, he doesn’t really like people who try to fit in, who are reserved, timid, or don’t speak their mind for whatever reason. And when he doesn’t like someone you will know it; he will be blunter than usual, dish out glares and insults more frequently, and all around act like an ass to try and have those people react in a way not usual for them. Hey, he’s just doing it to help! Every shy chick needs to just get really boiling mad once in their life. It’s good for the soul.
As expected, on the occasions he does talk, he always speaks his mind, and is often even more snarky and sarcastic than needed. That’s just who he is though, doesn’t mean he likes hurting people’s feelings or that he'd hate you. And God forbid you ever try changing him or telling him to shape up. You will get onto his bad side, and you will never get out. He will forever think of you as an enemy, and snark will be thrown at you come every opportunity. He will be needlessly difficult to deal with and very immature.
Still, even if might sound like it, Sigur certainly doesn’t hate everyone. Not at all; he has respect, sometimes even admiration for outspoken people, long as they aren’t acting like idiots. And in the end, he can be... well, a decent friend at least; he most likely won't abandon you if you get in trouble for example, but mostly because it’d be bothersome if you were hurt and he’d be expected to take care of you. He won’t stand anyone insulting his friends, either. He’s the only one allowed to do that.
Due to Sigur’s nature it’s not uncommon for him to make enemies and even get into fights. Verbal fights he fares pretty well in, and he actually enjoys from time to time. It’s a bonding experience of sorts. Nothing like two people exchanging insults and speaking their mind, free of the bounds of “politeness”. So don’t be surprised if after a prolonged war of words he comes and pats you on the back for a fight well fought. It’s a completely other matter once the fighting becomes physical, though. Like mentioned, Sigur isn’t really built for melees. He says he hates violence because there’s no point in it, and while there is truth to that, part of his hatred for it is because he’s just so bad at it. He can avoid having his skull cracked in half most of the time, but anything more than that is beyond him. So, he’ll often try to distract his enemy with psychobabble and insults instead. He also has the tendency to freeze completely over when something startles him. He doesn’t scream, he doesn’t run away, he just stands and stares until the shock fades off. Luckily for him, it’s often easy to lie that he simply wasn’t fazed by whatever startled him.
Lastly, even though he might sound like an apathetic guy with little interest to anything, he’s far from that. When he isn’t in his defensive mode, that is, when he doesn’t think anyone’s trying to oppress him and he isn’t bitter as a result, he’s actually a pretty fun-loving guy. He has a secret love for competitions of any kind, and he loves trying out new things and just… doing crazy things others wouldn’t think of doing simply because he can.
Biography: Born in Hearthome to two middle class parents, Sigur’s childhood was pretty ordinary. The only thing you could say was out of the norm was that he was never interested in Pokémon when growing up. A lot of the other kids on the block played outside with their family’s pet Pokémon and even tamed wild ones, but Sigur preferred to spend his days playing alone or with other humans. Their family did own both a Skitty and a Growlithe, but they both always seemed more like pests than anything else to him - possibly because it was he who often had to look after them while his parents were busy with his twin little sisters and work. Sigur just never saw the point in Pokémon, and the fact that he was often asked questions about his "strange" attitude towards them and being pressured into at least trying to go with the flow just made him all the more reluctant to play along.
When Sigur grew and most other kids around him left on their respective Pokémon journeys, his parents unanimously decided that he was not fit to go along. He was a bit of a rebel and his parents worried he'd mess with the wrong kind of crowd - or the wrong kind of Pokémon. After all, there had been that one incident with him having pulled a Ninetales' tail... Regardless, Sigur was nothing but happy about the decision, he didn't particularly care about running around the world and crawling in mud to find new animals to make fight for him anyway.
The biggest change probably happened when Sigur was fourteen and his family moved to Hoenn. His mother had got a big promotion and that meant moving to a big city in the middle of rich lifestyle, cocktail parties and impeccable discipline - all things Sigur couldn’t have cared for less. His parents tried to groom him into a fine young man they could introduce to their co-workers at parties, but it soon became apparent that was a plan meant to fail. He never learned etiquette or manners for the simple reason that he didn’t want to. All that disgusted him. He rebelled. Caused trouble. Was an ass.
In the end, his parents figured his temper and attitude problem must’ve stemmed from the fact that he didn’t get to train Pokémon as a kid. Sigur swore that had nothing to do with anything, but his parents were adamant and ended up signing him up for a trainer program before he could help it. Not that he minded in the end - he figured he’d rather walk around the region twice than attend another cocktail party in a dress shirt. So, with that, he was shipped off to the far-off Saro region to try his luck.
Favorite Pokemon Type: None, really, but if he had to choose, his Pokémon should at least look cool. He can use them as trophies that way or shit.
Name: Cecily Cain
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Trainer Class: Fairy Tale Girl
Appearance:
With a rather sickly pallor to her complexion and a dainty frame that seems as though it could easily be blown by the wind, Cecily has always been likened to a fragile porcelain doll. There's an obvious sluggishness to her gait, despite all her attempts to hide it, and even the slightest bit of exertion causes her cheeks to redden. Years of minimal physical activity has also made her uncoordinated. It's not like she'll be tripping all over the place, but she may or may not have accidentally caused a chain of destruction once. Or a couple of times.
Cecily's eyes are a pale blue, either sparkling with pent-up enthusiasm or glazed over as her overactive imagination shifts into gear. Her hair reaches past her lower back. She would like to style it differently every day, but she has found that it takes up too much energy in the mornings, and so settles for quick braids or even just letting it down. Silk ribbons always adorn her hair, with their color dependent on her current outfit. She's not too particular with her attire, but she does have a penchant for floral designs. Dresses are her default choice because they're the easiest to move in. Wearing pants somehow increases her clumsiness—she swears she can prove it—so she tries to avoid them. Also, because she's sensitive to temperature extremes, she always carries spare clothes with her.
Personality: Cecily is two parts sunshine and one part rainbow, taking on the day with an infectious grin on her face. Her body may be weak, but she's definitely not lacking in jauntiness. In fact, her borderline recklessness is the root of her family's ceaseless worry. Cecily hates feeling restricted because of her less-than-stellar physical condition, and often ends up trying to overcompensate by pushing her limits. Nothing is impossible, she'll often whisper to herself, even if her ungainliness causes her to wreak havoc yet again. She's also the sort that goes at her own pace. Driven by whims and unabashedly herself, she cares very little about how others view her and often does as she pleases. She'll freely sing and skip as she walks, happily oblivious to the world around her.
Cecily might be a little too frank for her own good. For one thing, it's made her an open book. It's why she tends to clamp up and shy away from others the moment she starts feeling vulnerable. While she prefers being in the company of others, she absolutely hates being fussed over, so she'd rather be alone during those times. Cecily also cannot lie to save her life. She honestly hopes it would never have to come to that. She can never seem to come up with a believable lie on the spot. It's a bit odd, especially when convoluted and ridiculous what-if scenarios go through her head a mile a minute. In any case, her boundless candor also means that she has very little filter. There's a direct line from her brain to her mouth, so there's a big chance she'll unintentionally offend someone at some point. She would have to be explicitly told about her offense, though, or she would never know.
It may not seem like it, what with her idiosyncrasies (and more than often idiotic moments), but Cecily is actually quite brilliant. Years of hospitalization meant hours upon hours of idle time, all of which she alleviated by reading. From books about Pokémon and their abilities, to the history of the different regions, she had built up quite a comprehensive internal encyclopedia throughout the years. It's no replacement for the worldly experience she lacks, but all that information definitely has its uses. Reading fairy tales have also had quite an effect on her. These stories have been a big part of Cecily's world, and it's apparent in her overly romanticized view of the world. She can see a silver lining where there is none, even make one herself if needed. Her 'nothing is impossible' mantra stems from the undying optimism found in the fairy tale's protagonists. Because everything works out for them in the end, Cecily has been simulating their unwavering sense of sanguinity. She will achieve her dreams and get her happy ending, chronic illness be damned.
Biography: In Lumiose City, the Cain family has come to be known for their fruitful efforts in the medical field. Cecily's parents are heads of their respective specializations, and even her older siblings have slowly been going up the ranks. Having been born into a family of doctors, it seemed somehow ironic that Cecily is as sickly as she is. She was diagnosed with a chronic disease that caused her to suffer from nutritional deficiencies, anemia, and pain crises every so often. It wasn't debilitating, but it meant she was generally weaker than normal. Strenuous work was definitely not allowed. After her parents learned of her illness, they thought it was best to remove her from the bustling and overcrowded metropolis. They took her to the more tranquil Vaniville Town when she was four, and there she would remain to be taken care of by her retired grandparents.
As expected, the fresh air and the less strenuous environment of the sleepy town positively affected her health. She was even surrounded by a small team of Chanseys and Blisseys that was always on standby, ready to take action in case she has one of her attacks. For most of her childhood, she was never once left unsupervised. Everything was perfectly regulated; safe, secure, and suffocating. It didn't take long for Cecily to become overwhelmed by the constant vigilance. She tried making the most of it, staying as active a she possibly can, but that wasn't very much at all. She was forbidden from participating in most events held at her school, and was rarely allowed to play with other children and their Pokemon. It made her restless. Every time she had to sit out on some physical activity, she felt the need to compensate. It spurred her to do reckless stunts to prove that she isn't as feeble as she felt, and that only resulted in very frequent trips to the hospital. But for her, it was all worth it. Cecily just wanted to feel that in spite of her limitations, she can still do anything as long as she puts her mind into it.
It was around her twenty-fifth time back at the hospital that her grandparents decided on a different tactic for handling the troublesome girl. They gave up hope on Cecily ever staying put. Instead of having her cook up increasingly risky stunts, they thought a more structured journey was a much safer alternative. After all, children were able to go through one without getting harmed. And at the very least, she would have her own Pokémon watching over her. It took a while to get her parents on board with the idea, but eventually everyone agreed that it was the safest way to appease Cecily's restlessness. Just in time, too, because there have been commercials about the Saro Region everywhere...
Favorite Pokemon Type: Instead of just specializing in fairy Pokemon, Cecily has also likes Pokémon that actually remind her of the fairy tales she's read. (So Pokemon that resemble dragons or fairies or knights; all that jazz)

Name: Joshua Tamashii
Age: 19
Appearance:
Minus the sword, obviously
Trainer Class: Ace Trainer/Gym Leader-in-training
Personality: Joshua can best be described as a lone-wolf or an anti-hero type of person. He is rude, cold, sarcastic, and slightly short-tempered when first meeting people, and that's if he even bothers to respond to you in the first place. He seems to enjoy his personal space (which apparently has a rather big radius) and would rather be alone with his Pokemon then with another human being, even if said human is just trying to be friendly.
This, however, is just an image he projects. Inside he's actually a bit of a softy, willing to talk with others and more then willing to give them a hand. He is downright loyal to those he considers friends and is always willing to put aside his own goals to help them, even if his current goal is something he has pursued for a very long time. He truly desires to have friends, but he just has a hard time communicating his feeling with others. With a little effort, you just might find one of the best friends you've ever had in him.
In battle Joshua is adaptable and ruthless, aiming for his opponents weaknesses and only using offensive moves, with little concern for defense and status-buffing moves. He aims to take his opponent down as quickly as possible. In his mind the best defense is a good offense, and his battling style reflects this.
Backstory: Joshua was born in Ecruteak Town in the Johto Region. His early childhood was very uneventful, only consisting of school, chores, playing with his older siblings, and whatever kids did at that age and time. When he finally reached the age of ten he set out on his pokemon journey, choosing Cyndaquil as his starter. Struggling at first, as most first-time trainers do, he eventually found his stride, and his battling style, and began winning badges from the Johto gym-leaders. The journey took Joshua a total of five years to complete, with him taking his time and not pushing himself too hard. While he managed to make it to the League, Joshua ultimately did not win but began the journey home with his head held high nonetheless.
On his way home, while traveling through Illex forest at night, Joshua received a glimpse of a pokemon he had never seen before. Completely black, vaguely humanoid, and with what appeared to be smoke with a single blue eye for a head, the pokemon attacked Joshua, who called out his best companions. Despite their best efforts, Joshua and his pokemon ultimately lost to the mysterious foe, but damaged it enough that it fled away, flying between the trees of the forest.
When Joshua finally made it back to Ecruteak Town, he threw himself into researching and finding out what pokemon had defeated him so easily. It didn't take him long to find out it was Darkrai, the legendary Dark-type pokemon of the Lunar Duo. Up until now, Joshua hadn't encountered many Dark-type pokemon and those he had didn't interest him at the time. How he found himself fascinated with them and studying them. Due to this he studied the regions of Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos, to find out what dark-types were there and their strengths and weaknesses.
This facination lead to Joshua eventually realizing he had a goal that didn't involve him being champion: he now wanted to open a gym that focused on dark-type pokemon, something he saw lacking in the other regions. When word reached his ears of a new region that didn't seem to have a league, or gym leaders. Seeing an oppurtunity, Joshua left the region and took the first flight to the new Saro region, where he would start anew and prove himself worthy of being a gym leader.
Favorite Pokemon Type: Dark-type pokemon or those that can evolve into Dark-types.

Name: Amelia Alison Averyonna
Age: 11
Appearance:
Minus the headphone, ribbon, and arm warmers.
(If the image doesn't work, right click on it and select "open in new tab.")
Trainer Class: Lass I guess.
Personality: Having been sheltered most of her life Amelia is a shy, naive but curious and lively young girl who lacks in the self-confidence department. Having little to no social interaction with the outside world, Amelia tends to shy away from other people and avoid talking to them. When she does talk to someone she'll often look at the ground and speak in a quiet tone, making it hard for others to hear her.
When she is alone, or with her pokemon, she is a bit more lively and shows more energy. Having never seen the outside world she is easily filled with wanderlust and can be distracted by even the smallest of things. This can also lead to her being a bit overly curious as she tries to figure out whatever has her attention at the time.
Amelia is also a very artistically talented girl, who is able to sing and draw with skill well beyond what is normally capable of children her age. However she lacks confidence in her work and often tries to hide it from others, even if those people have seen and complimented on it before. As a result she often practices when she thinks she's alone and uses her talents as a means to calm herself down when she's upset.
When it comes to battling, Amelia prefers to avoid it. All she wants to do it enjoy her freedom and have fun times with her companions. As such, she'll avoid battles as much as she can. If she can't avoid it, she will battle others, but seeing as she has never been in a battle before, she doesn't have much experience to draw upon.
Backstory: Amelia is the heiress of the Averyonna family, a rich family from Johto. Her father is a business tycoon and current owner of the Goldenrod Department Store, while her mother is a world famous pokemon coordinator. Surprisingly, not much is known about the couple's only daughter. In fact, most of the world doesn't know that Amelia even exist.
From her early life, Amelia had always been a sheltered child. She was never allowed to leave her families estate and when she wanted something, one of the servants would go get it for her. While she was able to freely play in the large backyard, she was never allowed contact with anyone her age and as such, she never had any friends to speak of. When she turned six, her parents began sending instructors to see her and educate her on subjects most children usually learned in at school. Most of the instructors where strict and pushed the young girl hard, forcing her to learn at an accelerated pace. When the child didn't meet their standards she was often talked down upon and pushed even harder, making her miserable.
When she turned eight, Amelia began sneaking out of the estate to explorer a little of the outside world. The estate was located near Johto's daycare center, and as such, the child was often found there, playing with the various pokemon trainers dropped off. She found it easier to talk to the creatures then to humans and often made fast friends with them. She had so much fun there that she often snuch out when she was supposed to be having a lesson, something which didn't go unnoticed by her instructors and parents. When they found out where she was spending her time and how she got out of the estate, they quickly blocked her only exit and stopped her from going to the daycare.
After three more years of misery, some of the servants of the castle, who had grown sorry for her, helped Amelia escape from her prison. They smuggled her outside of the estate before presenting her with a bag of supplies and a ticket to the new Saro region. Thanking them and hoping they wouldn't get fired for helping her, Amelia quickly bourded the plane and set off to enjoy her new found freedom.
Favorite Pokemon Type: Pokemon that make her feel safe and happy. Mostly dog- and large cat-looking pokemon

Favorite Pokemon Type: Pokemon that make her feel safe and happy. Mostly dog- and large cat-looking pokemon
Name: Cyrille Dubois
Age: 16
Appearance:
With a relatively small stature, especially for an athlete, Cyrille's two proudest features are her toned legs and her almost nonexistent chest. She tends to wear boy's clothes in favor of ones for her own gender, and always keeps the majority of her hair hidden under her hat. Add some bandages to completely flatten whatever breasts she may or may not actually have, and Cyrille passes off as a pretty believable boy.
Trainer Class: Infielder
Personality: A sixteen-year-old gender-confused girl with a twenty-foot attitude, the only thing between her and all-out masculinity is the lack of a Y chromosome. She likes to do things often associated with boys; sports, doing things she knows is stupid but she does them anyway, and not being mistaken for a girl. Which is an odd statement when taken word-for-word, given that she is a girl. Cyrille also boasts a rash and rough, but altogether good-natured personality. She'll pick a fight or two for certain, but more often than not she has a reason. And of course, she hates being mistaken for a girl.
Though there's a little more than just a girl who wants to be a boy here. She keeps her hair long and keeps a diary with a sticker of assorted Fairy-types (not Mawile, though) on the cover and sketches of even more Fairies (still no Mawile) on the inside. Her favorite Pokemon, no matter how much she claims they're Fighting-type badasses, are the cutest pink Fairy-types the world has to offer. An observer of the psychological persuasion can easily tell that it may not be so much her being a girl who wants to be a boy, and that in its own crazy way may actually be the other way around. In reality, even though she's mentally male, it's that Cyrille wants to be a girl but has no clue how and is too scared to ask.
Backstory: Hailing from Kalos Region's Laverre City comes a grand psychological oddity. Cyrille Dubois was born a girl, but did her best to be a boy instead. Not an easy task when everybody already knows you're a girl. The person she admired most in childhood was another person who may or may not have identity problems. The local Gym Leader: Valerie. Maybe it was because of Valerie that Cyrille has some girlish tendencies, or maybe not. The point is that Valerlie was the one person with whom Cyrille felt comfortable over her gender. Sometimes she'd even ask for advice from the Gym Leader. Valerie actually had a great idea.
Become a foreign exchange student. Nobody in another region would know her gender, would they? It would be a blank slate with which she could establish her gender for herself instead of having everybody believe what her DNA said. She wound up going to Hoenn Region's Petalburg City, where Cyrille Dubois took advantage of her gender-neutral name to firmly establish the idea that she was in fact male. She'd considered trying to down Norman, the local Gym Leader, but he promptly turned her down because she A: had no Pokemon, and B: didn't have four Gym Badges. She was about to leave, until another challenger approached with said four badges. That challenger used Fighting-types. Cyrille was left in awe of their power. From that day on, Cyrille swore that if she ever became a Gym Leader, she'd use that type. Except that never happened, because she only caught one Pokemon ever. Ralts, who she only kept for about ten seconds before remembering he was Fairy-type.
The years passed pretty normally from there. When Cyrille received an invitation to this Saro Region, she saw a good chance to score some Pokemon, maybe more firmly establish herself as a boy, and return to Hoenn so she could show Norman what she would (hopefully) learn. She accepted without skipping a beat.
Favorite Pokemon Type: Cyrille's favorite type on the surface is Fighting-type. If a close friend asked her, she'd claim it's actually Psychic. The reality is that her favorite type is Fairy, though she'll often make an effort to appear to hate them. The sole exception to this rule is Mawile, "the resident badass of the Fairy dollhouse." In all fact, anecdotes cut, her favorite Pokemon of all is actually Cleffa, which she adores more than anything else on this planet. But since she sees it as a "middle ground" between Fighting and Fairy, Cyrille actually acts like her all-time favorite is Gallade.
