Computers, machines, and monitors all sit in the still and quiet, almost dead laboratory that was filled with broken beakers, test tubes, and cobwebs. The lifeless carcasses of rats and spiders that were unfortunate to be trapped in the laboratory when it was abandoned now litter the floor. However, the quietness is suddenly broken by machines humming to life and eight yellow caution lights begin to blink as the cryostasis pods holding human bodies start to activate.

After thirty minutes, eight pods open releasing white smoke and for another few minutes the laboratory is quiet, minus the humming of machines. A hand reached out of one of the pods and Alex groans as he pulls himself out of the pod and immediately falls to the floor. He breathes slowly as the stale air fills his lungs. His vision is blurry and all he can see is blurred out shapes. He groans again as he slowly begins to push himself up. A massive headache fills his skull as images and voices flash and echo in his mind. We must hurry. She’ll find us soon! But what about them, if she finds them! She won’t! Just set the stasis pods to open when they are ready! With the voices, images of people in lab coats surrounding him in what looks like liquid inside a tube. Their faces are blurred out and as fast as the images appear. They vanish.

“Damn it my head,” Alex said as he finally gets to his feet, only to stumble and use a wall for support. His vision is finally clearing, but his head has a sharp pain go through it as a women’s voice says, “stasis pods 1 through 8 successfully activated. Stasis pods 9 and 10 have malfunctioned. Looking to correct the error.”

Alex shook his head to get both the cobwebs and pain from his skull out. That’s when he realized he was fully clothed and that as soon as he got out. The pod had closed. Alex checked his clothes and said, “Well at least who ever those people were. They didn’t make me come out of the pod naked. Although, I wouldn’t mind if they turn up the damn heat.” Alex shivered as he sighed and saw his own breath.

Sora awoke at the sound of a woman's voice. "... successfully activated. Stasis po... malfunctioned. Looking to correct the error." her hearing wavering, Sora got her green eyes to focus on her surroundings. She realized she'd been in a pod and a handful of others were opened as well. So far, only one other person had stepped out. "Hey. You alright over there? Cryo is always fun. Why were we in there, or do you know?" Realizing her fellow poddie had also just emerged, she quit talking and sighed, wanting answers.

Luna felt herself being drawn out of a long slumber. All she could see as she opened her eyes was a white blur of incoherence. Suddenly the white wall of blurriness began moving and she finally realized where she was. The white blur that had just moved was the transparent cover of her cryostasis pod opening. Her hearing was muffled but she could still make out a female voice followed by a different one moments later. She could feel her strength slowly returning and once she was confident enough she grasped the edge of her cryostasis pod and pulled herself out. She made sure to keep hold of the pod as she stepped out, fearing her dizziness would force her to the ground if she didn’t. The blurriness began slowly fading and Luna could make out a strangely familiar looking laboratory and two other souls in the room but her mind was still too fuzzy to form a coherent sentence, or even a thought for that matter.

One pod further from Luna another transparent lid opened and soon enough another female emerged from it. Amy Rose. The moment her eyes flicked open she didn’t waste one second. In a single bound she emerged from her stasis pod.

It is said that fortune favors the bold. This, unfortunately, didn’t seem to apply to Amy as her leap was quickly followed by a tumble to the ground. The sound of the plunge nearly startled Luna and her head turned to the side with a speed that could break necks as she tried to focus her eyes on the source of the sound. It seemed that her hearing had recovered faster than her sight. Amy laid there for a while on her back as she waited for her vision to clear.

“Ouch. . . bad idea.”, she said as she let out an amused huff.

Zack was feeling groggy after the woman started to talk. He thought it was a woman. It sounded like a woman and Zack had no idea if it was a woman. He guessed that he had be awoken where ever they were. He could hear voices and he guessed they might know where in the world they were. He would take them just knowing why they were here.

Zack looked out of his pod as the door slid open and he pulled himself out. It appeared that thy were in a lab of some sort. Zack looked around and seemed rather angry. "Where the hell are we?!" He asked sounding rather pissed off.
