"..."

Kumiko let out a sigh, reaching out and snatching her ofuda from the other girl's hand, shoving them back in her bag. Certainly, it was overstuffed, but really... she had to carry that many with her. She cast a glare towards the other people in the restaurant, like the boy and the woman at the other table. Maybe she had to get another bag... Her hands traveled over the scattered paper talismans and swiftly placed them in her bag. She was not particularly inclined to address what had just happened. No, she wanted to swiftly leave that all behind and just get on with eating. The less having to deal with other people, the better. Ofuda was rapidly shoved in her bag, tucked away inside, away from prying eyes.

Really now, why did something so annoying have to happen? Right when she was getting ready to eat, too. It was such a hassle, it just pissed her off. She glanced towards the girl who had gathered up some of her ofuda and gave her a very, very brief response.

"Thank you," said the black-haired girl, simply.

"I'm sorry if I was a bit rude" Reiko apologized to Daichi as he commented on how her behavior was imposing on him "It's just that I'm not someone used to beat around the bush" she finished by extending her hand to him again.

"Then, let me introduced myself again" Reiko said with a smile on her face "I'm Asamiya Reiko, eldest daughter of the Asamiya clan of spirit world warriors and I have transfered here, from Tokyo, about a week ago. I hope I can count with your help, Daichi. By the way, I'd prefer you called me just Reiko" Reiko ended her reintroduction in a rather bold way unceremoniously calling Daichi by his first name and beckoning him to do the same towards her.

Then, Reiko started walking away, before gesturing for Daichi to follow her and take the lead on their tour through the city "So, how about we get going now? Time won't stop just because we will it..."

"...Right. My apologies." Daichi replied, bowing slightly before noticing Reiko's extended hand. Her actions were decidedly more Western in origin, but by no means did that stop him from taking it anyways. It'd take a bit for him to get used to that... Direct nature of hers.

"Though... I'd rather not skip to such an... Informal tone, Asamiya-san... Just doesn't sit well with me." he stated in return to her suggestion to call her by her first name. "And... I think... It'd be better off the other way around as well."

Rubbing the back of his head and turning away slightly in embarrassment, Daichi shook his head (and tossed whatever thoughts he had in his head out the window) and cleared his throat before starting again.

"R-right, it's probably best if you familiarize yourself with the town as soon as possible... I guess the first priority is... my place, since you need to finish registration with my father before anything else in that field, though..."

As he said that, something that looked like a dark wolf bounded through the food court, causing a sudden gust of wind to blow past them all. Most of the bystanders took it as just that, but Daichi...

"Are. You. Kidding. Me."

As he slumped drowsily against the wall that he'd fled to so as to clear up space for anybody that wanted it; Kouta felt an overwhelming urge to just head on home to sleep. But at the same time, another part of him argued that it was worth it to spend at least a little time outside. He lightly scanned the area, watching bystanders and Daichi as he spoke to whoever the woman sitting with him was. From the looks of things, whatever conversation they were having wasn't sitting right with ol' boss. Well, sucks for him.

Kouta suddenly pushed himself off to the side as a large blur bounded past him, blasting him with a gust of wind. He swore quietly under his breath and quickly snatched up his case. Almost immediately afterward he began dashing off in the direction of the gust; weaving in and out of the paths of other customers and various bystanders alike. Duties are duties. Gotta keep people from getting injured or killed. He nodded to himself as he finished the thought as if to agree with himself.

"If that's how you prefer to be treated, I won't impose too much on you" Reiko said to Daichi. In fact, Reiko was so used to the Western society and way of thinking that sometimes she forgot that Japanese people are much more reserved -or should it be closed?- than the people that she was used to mingle with. And, even though, she disliked such impersonal behavior, it right of her to impose her own will on others, or so Reiko thought.

"Hmm..." Reiko struck a pensive stance as she considered Daichi's next actions. The way he was so embarrassed made it clear that he wasn't used to having many women around him, and certainly not any that could pass as so much pushy as Reiko was being. Either that, or he wasn't used to talking to other people at all, which was also, a possibility, since sheltered Spirit World Warrior children were far from uncommon. "Actually, I have already cleared any paperwork I had to do in advance," she answered to his next comment "I have been planning this moving for a long time, so naturally, this was one of the first things I did."

However, Reiko's small interlude was cut short with the sudden appearance of an Youma and as she noticed another of the present Warrior kids move to get it, Reiko patted Daichi's shoulder "I guess that's it. Our first chance for a cooperative work. What do you say about it, Daichi-san?"

Payment was slammed on the table. Kumiko didn't bother check if she'd put down the right amount.

"Box it up for takeout," she said, simply, before grabbing her bag and sprinting off after the wolf creature. No, no it wasn't the most subtle of exits, but she wasn't worrying about subtlety right now. That was a youmu, and it was her duty to destroy it. There wasn't anything else that could be said about the matter. Youmu caused trouble, she destroyed youmu. It was just how things worked, with a very few exceptions in regards to the youmu. In any case, she could hear the ofuda rustling in her bag as she ran through the food court, sprinting after the wolf-like creature without a moment's pause and with little regard for anyone else, as long as they weren't in her way.

Daichi took a deep breath as he glanced at the two people already moving into action in order to take down that beast; he himself certainly didn't expect an incident like this to break out this early in the day, so he was by no means prepared to have to work up a sweat in the least.

"Well, if you've resolved that issue, that's much less work for me. I don't want to have to deal with any possession at this time of day, so the sooner we resolve this, the better. We'll be working together here; it's a pleasure." he stated curtly before turning towards the direction the youmu had run off in.

"It's headed to the reservoir, which makes things a bit more convenient. Let's move quickly, before anyone gets hurt or the scale becomes too big."

With that, Daichi quickly got up and began to follow behind the two others that had already begun to move.

The farther he moved after the creature, though, the more chaotic things seemed to get. Though the wind didn't seem to be particularly bad during it's initial appearance, the damage seemed to ramp up considerably after a block or two, which... Well, this was going to difficult to cover up. Heck, even some of the walls and the ground had giant claw marks running straight through them. What the hell, there were witnesses! Mass delusions, maybe?

Daichi's internal musing came to a stop, though, as he and the other two came to a stop at the riverside, where the creature seemed to be staring at them from the other side. It seemed to be a wolf, yes, but with dark wisps or something of the sort flowing out at it's feet. It didn't stop there, though; there seemed to be some sort of... Collar... On it? Maybe...

"...Hey..." Daichi began to say, getting ready to jump. "Just outta curiosity... We ever had any cases on animals being possessed here?"
