Metosi shoulders his pack a little more securely, looking about the road for a brief spell. He breathes deeply, enjoying the lack of smell that usually came with human cities. There was nothing like the open road and a far-off destination to set one's blood boiling and a wanderlust that couldn't be quenches. Casting his gaze about his companions he asks, "Shall we get going?" Not waiting for a reply, he starts off, keeping an ever alert watch over their surroundings, particular in case of ambush from the bandits rumored to frequent these parts. The last thing they needed was to be caught by surprise and stripped of what belongings they had left, seeing as most of the group had little no money left in their pouches.

Shinon yawned and stretched as they began the first leg of their journey, it was a long trip and probably with the end no where in sight. But he was alright with that, this should be a good opportunity to learn some things about the world. He made sure his bow was strung in case they saw any game foolish enough to wander the main road and provide them a tasty dinner. "Anybody know some marching songs?" Shinon inquired to no one in particular as they walked, he'd heard that sometimes armies had marching songs to keep in line and to stave off boredom.

"Well a song might allow us to dispense mercy sooner." so, as to answer Shinnon's question Qa-Ra started singing wholeheartedly a song he heard last night, thou quite false. "Oh, there once was a hero named Ragnar..."

Thou the song was to lighten the general mood, his reason was a little less benevolent. There were supposed to be some highwaymen around, hopefully the song would attract them. As such he prepared himself for possible ambushes.

Walking down the road the companions keep there eyes out for various threats and benefits. Ka-Vara, through not seeing any plants of alchemical note, did see how the rich soil and unique Skyrim weather had made the more benign plants slightly larger and much stronger looking. When he did come across a plant of worth, he know they would be far more potent. (Ka-Vara gets 2 blue dice on his next alchemy related roll [harvesting, making potions]).

Metosi on the other hand kept his eyes out for more mobile specimens. Though he saw no animals or bandits (or evidence of) he did see an old ruined tower on a nearby mountain top, and what looked like a path leading to to. They where some distance from where they would need to leave the road to reach it. He could of sworn he saw movement up there, but was uncertain.

Qa-Ra sang and kept an eye out in the woods. There was no threats whatsoever. It appears this part of the region was relatively calm, as they moved farther from civilisation he knew this would change

Shinon was disappointed, Qa-Ra's singing had scared off any game. But all was not lost, as he observed the Skyrim forest he found himself seeing perfect hiding spots here and there. If there was trouble he knew he could easily slip into the forested shadows. (Shinon gets 2 blue on his next stealth related check in the forests between Falkreath and Whiterun.)

"Interesting" Ka-Vara said to himself as he noted the exceptional qualities of the local flora. Once he found something he could work with, Ka-Vara knew that the harvest would be bountiful. Ka-Vara continued to survey the surroundings for benefits and threats. His time as an adventurer had taught him that constant vigilance was needed to spot the best rewards and the worst dangers before one could pass them by or get too close.

Actions: Continue to watch for herbs and things that would want to attack the group. If herbs are spotted, stop to harvest them (Using the blue dice in the process).

Metosi's focus narrowed onto the tower, thinking he might have caught a glimpse of movement within. He rubbed at his chin for a moment, wondering if he should bring this to the attention of the others. If there were those with hostile intent, it would be better to be safe than sorry. If there weren't, they could always search the tower for useful items to sell or for their job. "Friends, do you see that tower in the distance?" Metosi avoided pointing at the structure, not wanting to let possible opposition to realize they had been made. "I believe I saw movement, this might be the possible break we've been looking for. There's a path for it a little farther along the road, it would seem. If the rest of you are amenable, we should take it and search the tower." Metosi continued to watch the tower as well as keep a wary awareness of their surroundings.

Shinon smiled, he was pleased with the overall layout of the land so far. He could already see ideal spots for stalking and hunting. He turned and glanced at the tower Metosi had noticed, thinking the idea was reasonable and that they could use some more coin. "Sounds like a good idea to me." he said plainly. Shinon was excited at the idea of exploring in this strange place, it sounded like fun.

The companions moved down the path that lead to the top of the mountain. Though all eyes looked out for danger, None was seem, on the tower or around.

They made it to the top of the mountains, looking over a pile of rocks they observed the Tower. It was ruined and decayed, it stood only 2 stories, though it must have stood much taller in the past. No movement was seen on the op of the tower, its windows darkened and main entrance wide open. No door to be found with broken and uneven stone steps leading up to it. Off to the die of the tower appears to be the body of a dead Spriggan sitting against a rock, its wooden frame hollowed and bleaching in the sun.

"A spriggan? In the mountains?" Ka-Vara said as he noticed the spriggan corpse on the rocks "It's quite a way from home here". Ka-Vara pulled out 1 of his steel maces and snapped the fingers of his free hand, causing the aura of a summon lesser daedra spell to appear in his hand. "Keep an eye open" Ka-Vara said "What ever killed that spriggan could still be here".

"They've been known to take refuge in abandoned towers and buildings such as these when driven away by man... but what killed it?" Metosi began to climb the steps, one hand crackling with restrained electricity, the other a spell to conjure a minion, the same that Ka-Vara now wielded in his free hand. "Shinon, keep an eye out and put some arrows into anything that moves. We don't want to take any chances." Looking back, Qa'Ra looked too involved in his search for alchemical ingredients to be of use, making the Dunmer inwardly curse. What a time for their battle-hardened monk to lose focus! "You're right, we should exercise caution, but something of use could still inside. Spriggans are known for guarding their sanctuaries, but also undisturbed treasure.." Stopping for a moment to allow his companions to catch up, Metosi peered at the corpse. It seemed to have been dead for some time, but there were no marks to suggest what exactly had felled it.

Action: Ready his spells, inspect the corpse of the Spriggan, wait for his companions.

Shinon nodded and half-nocked an arrow as he swiveled, taking sweeping glances around them for anything out of the ordinary as he followed the others. The idea of treasure sounded prospecting. He half wondered if the spriggan still had a soul in its body, he'd never found out just how long a soul stayed around. Did it leave as soon as something died, or perhaps some later time? Maybe it depended on the creature. His ambling thoughts had no effect on his keen searching eyes.

Action: Watch for movement.

Ka-Vara saw no movement or sign of threat in or around the tower. However he did recognise the towers design. Old as it was, he had had similar excursions into these style of ruin. He knew once inside he would have ease of moment inside (2 Blue dice on a choice manurer in the ruins, applies to this encounter only).

Metosi inspected the corpse, from what he could tell it had dies from many blunt blows to it head and some slashes to it limbs. It appears to have been hollowed out, very little useful materials could be scavenged from the rare creature.

Shinon kept his eyes on the tower, in a few moments suspicion of any residency had been conformed. He saw movement on the exposed top of the tower. Whatever it was though, seemed to vanish quickly, possibly moving down into the ruins.

Shinon nodded, "I saw something up there as well, don't know what. Anyone care to lead the way?" This idea wasn't sounding as good as it did at the start. If he wanted to set a trap for a bunch of curious travelers, there wouldn't be a much better place than here. His hunter sense was tingling and he didn't like it one bit. Certainly he wasn't going to lead the way into the tower, though he wasn't ready to venture a guess as to which of his companions would.

"Are we actually considering the idea of walking into what is most likely a trap that we don't even have to spring?" Ka-Vara asked when Shinon suggested they head into the tower "I mean really, we have places to be and jobs to do. Investigating this tower has only led us sideways, so I see no reason to delay ourselves any further with a fight. I say we just forget about this tower and move on".

Walking up to the entryway of the tower, he stopped short of it, poking his head around the wall slowly so as not to bring too much attention to himself. No matter what his companions said, he felt that there was something in this tower that would be more beneficial than not. Yet an almost unarmored mage was never at an advantage walking into a situation at the vanguard. He needed either Ka-Vara or Qa'Ra to take the lead on this one. Yet his Argonian "What's the problem Ka-Vara? Just think of this as repayment for the share I had to pay for your supplies! I hate being destitute, friend." Metosi bantered, reminding his Argonian companion of the debt. He didn't want to twist his arm, but his overly-anxious attitude didn't breed confidence. Metosi didn't announce himself to the tower's denizens as of yet, looking over the outside design, then the general layout of the tower from what he could see through an arrow slit. All of his senses were taut, sensitive ears catching the slightest scrape of boot or claw, mind open to emanations of magic, and his eyes wide, taking in as much of his surroundings as he could and committing them to memory.

The Tower stand silent as the companions discuss there situation. No sound or no movement is detected, just and eerie silence mixed with the sounds of the wind flowing over the rocks.

Ka-Vara narrowed his eyes at Metosi as the dunmer attempted to persuade him to enter. "Very well" the argonian battlemage said after a moment of thought "You and Shinon stay behind me and Qa'Ra. Shoot anything you see that's about to attack us" Ka-Vara then looked over to Qa'Ra* and added "I would appreciate it very much if you stopped standing idly by and watched my back for me". With that said, Ka-Vara steeled himself for a fight and entered the tower. Hopefully with his Comrades right behind him

*((I'm assuming Qa'Ra is still present at this time.))

Shinon nodded, "As you wish." he said plainly and nocked an arrow to his bow as he cautiously followed Ka-Vara in. Some more coin would be helpful, but he still wondered what he had seen up there. Perhaps just a flag? Well they would find out soon enough, one way or the other.

Following closely behind Qa'Ra, Metosi followed the two into the tower, beside Shinon. He was suddenly very grateful that Ka-Vara had agreed to enter, his steel armor would be very useful in sudden melee skirmishes. Not wanting to hamper the others because of his lack of weaponry, Metosi stepped past Qa'Ra once inside, moving to an emptier space on the tower's ground level. The place seemed quiet to the dark elf, perhaps too quiet. There were no scampers of tiny animal feet that would have found this place to be an oasis from the dangers of the forest. And nothing save for the call of the wind reached his keen ears. His eyes cast all about, ever vigilant against attack. Readying himself and drawing upon his prodigious magical skill, Metosi cast a summoning spell for a lesser daedric minion in front of himself, in the open space.

You step into the ruined tower. Sunlight peeks through a few windows and holes in the wall, illuminating the dry and stale environment. The main floor is relatively large and there is a stone stairway leading to the dark upper levels. Piles of rubble and garbage litter the ground, in a few corners you see bodies of dead Nords, kept preserved in the dry and cold air. Suddenly a voice Echos through the tower:

"Ah! Some brave adventurous have come to stop me. Sent to end my plans I see... Well you will only succeed in joining my army. Rise my minions!

With that the bodies begin to Rise, 6 of them in total, and begin shambling towards you. Metosi summons a deadra, a wolf like beast that snarls at the approaching horde. the zombies cluster into two groups of 3 as they continue to approach.

(Initiative, Zombies are slow thus failing there initiative check, heroes may act in post order).
