RWBY Volume 3 draws near. While the plot continues to thicken like left out cooking oil, I've been wanting to explore a bit more of the origins of the world of RWBY. Mainly that of Ozpin, the spectacled headmaster of Beacon. While anything about him remains mostly unknown, would you care to join me in creating some fanon about his past?

I have this in mind:

Some years before the current events of RWBY, before succeeding the position of Headmaster, Ozpin was a youthful and passionate Beacon-graduate who saved the city of Vale--after nearly destroying it. A secret project was under development, made possible by the efforts of the Schnee Dust Company. The goal was to create an elite army of Huntsmen and Huntresses, infused with the destructive powers of rare Dust and the frightening capabilities of the Grimm. After several failed experiments, a small team survived and Ozpin was assigned to personally lead them.

Players will get to assume the roles of these characters, members of the special op team codenamed The Shades of Black.

Thank you so much and I'm so excited for this! It truly is the best way to celebrate V3. I'm just going to rewatch the opening titles again like crazy. I also like how this is a prequel. Ozpin is among the best characters and I hope they explore a little bit on his history.

There is one thing I forgot to mention in my excitement and time off of roleplay:

This story is dark. Dark as in straying away a bit from the family-friendly nature of RWBY. That doesn't mean we can't have our own light-hearted fun. Just letting you all know that the characters you play will have a rough start to begin with. Of course, one's future isn't written. It's made. Through pain and suffering your characters obtain power to ensure peace in Remnant. What you do with that power, and how you go about safeguarding that peace is up to you.
