Well, that's embarrassing. I get my profile up only to find I've used the same mask as another character. There's no sense in doubling up, so give me a minute to figure out what to use instead and I'll change it.

Oh, no, it's fine. Hura won't have a Rode once he is a Toa. He'll likely have a Faxxon or Mask of Rahi-Control (Which I may decide to call a Kanohi Rahkuta, or something similar.) I do like your idea, a performer, potential trickster, with a Rode. Great idea. Also Toa of Gravity are fairly baller.

Very well, I'll keep it as-is then. And just to let you know, Kumanu will be keeping his faxon through the transformation.

Oh. Then I'm not sure what mask to give Hura really. Like, I don't know what really fits his personality at the moment, but I don't want him to have an Akaku or Ruru, for story reasons, but a mask that lets you see a far away place could be cool. I could still do Rahi control, or maybe give him a Mask of Psychometry, even though that was for another character/idea.

There's always the Mask of Sensory Aptitude if you're going for far-sight, or achieve the same thing on any kanohi with one of these telescopic lenses like we saw on the akaku and matatu (though they could be fitted onto any type of mask).

Another way to see far-off things would be a kakama (by going there and back quickly).

To fit Hura's character, you could go for a mask of healing, since he works in an apothecary, or a sanok or mask of psychometry because of his meticulous nature.

I don't necessarily want to improve his vision persay, or give him a lens, mainly because I was thinking Hura would actually have poor eyesight, which is the forbearer of his methodical nature, and I'd rather him learn to own it and deal with it, rather than have his mask compensate for that and give him better sight than a normal Toa. I sort of considered him having a Rau, or, at least, somehow letting him have access to a Noble Rau. I'd consider a Kualsi over a Kakama, but I am partial to the Kakama, as Pohatu was my first Bionicle set. Also I was planning on a Turaga having a Noble Mask of Sensory Aptitude. (As a side note, I think only a Kakama Nuva would let you go that fast) I sorta want to leave the Sanok open for someone else if they want, and Psychometry might fit, but I don't think Hura would know too terribly much about injuries in order to use the Mask of Healing effectively. (Although a Sanok would help with his Toa weapon- which is a glaive that shoots a protosteel 'thorn')
To be honest, I sort of want him to come across as a bit of a functional paladin as a Toa, being a bit of a defensive bruiser, but able to use his plantlife powers to concoct healing poultices when needed, and also be able to create diversions with plant walls or something.

It will allow us to get the ball rolling into the beginning of the game, and hopefully act as a jump-start for those who have shown interest but not done anything else yet. In the first few days while the already established characters meet and greet, the others can get profiles drawn up. They won't miss too much there. If, on the other hand, they aren't actually going to join the game, waiting longer won't change that.

I'm excited to start RPing in this world, and my fingers are getting itchy.

@DFTBA I was thinking that Hura and Kumanu could have potentially met each other, at least in passing. Seeing as Kumanu's on the KNRCF and Hura lives in Bo-Congro, I had the idea that maybe Hura would have seen Kumanu returning some unruly Rahi to the forest.

Sure. They could even see each other pretty regularly. Perhaps the place in the forest where Hura often looks for vuata maca fruit is near to a colony of brakas, where Kumanu brings any of the monkeys that have ben caught in the city. When they happen to be in the area at the same time, they stop and chat.

I was thinking more along the lines of they each heard of the other through reputation? Like, maybe Hura has seen Kumanu, but hasn't had a conversation at length? Maybe in the days before the Festival, the above event happens, or something similar?
