Human towns have always been rather small places, which is probably why all the gods gathering in one place is not a good idea- it means they make a lot of noise whenever any of them lash out.

Amare hadn't paid it too much attention to the other gods, after all he was busy with his own plans. However the sounds of screams and sirens- those had startled him. So, like the curious and worried boy he was, he followed the sounds of despair.

And what he found shook him to the core.

His little body trembled at the carnage before him. This, this is what he had been afraid of. He knew as soon as Brontes decided to come back that this was possible. Tears began to form in his eyes at the horror before him. Why? Why?! Why couldn't his so called 'family' understand how beautiful these creatures were? How much better they were than them? These creatures...they felt so much- they laughed, danced and singed in ways the gods never could. His 'family' called themselves higher creatures but he couldn't begin to understand why. After all, here was one of his 'brothers', mercilessly slaughtering these lovely creatures because he thinks he's better than them! How pathetic! To pick on others because your angry?! Amare felt a new emotion- rage. If this is how Amos wanted to play it then fine! Fine! Fine, he'll play the way his 'brother' wants.

With that, he opened his teddy bear back pack, and got out the book given to him by Brontes...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Amidst the destruction and chaos that Amos created, a little boy stands in the middle of it all. He stands there quietly, waiting, as the God of Hatred teleports in and out of existence. He waits for a moment- a moment where the cruel God decides to stay in existence for more than just a second.

And when that moment comes, the little boy takes a gun out of his pocket, aims it at the God and fires twice, the bullets slamming into the God's skull. Not that it does anything, it is only a human weapon after all. However, it does draw attention to the small trembling body of the boy.

"What a boring story you've chosen for yourself" The boy says in an almost bored tone. However to all that hear it, they can tell that emotions lie just beneath the surface.

Amare is often a boy of many words. In the words of Jack Frost, he really does talk too much. But not now, not today. Not in this hell that Amos has brought down upon the humans.

"I will give you one chance and only one chance. Stop now and you can still have a happy ending. Peace is still possible for you. However, if genocide is what you truly desire..." He let out a shaky breath, finally turning his head to face Amos "Then follow me, because I will give you a 'worthy fight'" He almost spat, truly disgusted by Amos behaviour.

With those words said and done. He turned away from The God of Hatred and started running...

Amos was about to bring his sword down upon a young women, when something slammed into his head. Instantly, he lowered Cerbanis down, looking for the creature that would strike him and his gaze fell upon a small child, some distance away. The boy was holding a human weapon, a gun, how foolish but at the same time he had felt this presence before...

Amare.

So he was right. His plan to draw out Amare and Brontes had half worked. Brontes was not here, but Amare would have to do and he listened to what he was saying.

A boring story? No. Quite the contrary, Amos had never felt more alive in this existence then he was right now.

Amos mused, "My dear baby brother. One could have guessed that you have come to care for these..humans, but just remember that you have killed them as well. You and I are not so different now, so don't threaten me with your emotional response."

He then watched Amare run away from him, obviously baiting him away.

"Then run but when I catch you, you best pray that Death saves you.." Amos whispered to himself as he started running after his brother.

His aura of hate began to grow stronger, influencing those that he ran past, making them lash out at each other or anything that they saw.

The boy continued to run and run- as far and fast as he could- to the outskirts of the city. Making sure they would end up in a place far away from the humans. As he ran, he thought of Amos's words, yes, he had hurt these wonderful creatures. But unlike Amos, he felt something so very important- so very vital- and that was remorse. Something he was sure that Amos could never feel in this state. If he could even call this thing Amos...He may have never liked his 'brother' who only talked through brawl and acts of violence- but Amare knew he had never been this bad. Perhaps Amare was somewhat to blame for this...and maybe Brontes too...But even so, it wasn't an excuse for murder. Amare knew better now- there was nothing more ugly on this earth than to kill.

Which is why he led Amos down the alley way.

It was then that the little boy turned around to face Amos, but he was not alone. Behind him were an assortment of hell beasts, all of which had been known to be under Brontes control.

"Death? My Lonely God doesn't need to save me. He's already given me a present to protect myself! And isn't it a lovely present? I have all these hell beasts at my side to help! And to give you the fight you want. After all, where's the valor in fighting little old me?" Amare giggled as he hugged his teddy bear and twirled around. Oh the wonders of having a book to summon the literal demons of hell. Brontes did always give Amare the very best of presents...

In an instant, Amare turned to his true form and flew above Amos and the hell beasts, up into the sky. "You know what Amos? Your right- I have hurt these creatures too. But unlike you, I am ashamed of my actions. For a bunch of Gods, we really should have gotten off our high horse when we had the chance. Instead of Brontes having to make us fall. We treated them poorly and we have been punished for it. I learnt from my mistakes but you clearly have not. And now, you must pay the price."

With those words, the beasts charged at Amos, there was nothing but a look of pure violence in their eyes. As they began to wage war on the Hateful God, Amare watched on. But only for a moment, as he really knew better than to stick around. Amare wasn't a stupid boy, for all his emotions- he knew Amos was baiting him.

So, he flew off into the sky and retraced Amos's steps. Not that they were that hard to trace. After all, Amos did leave a trail of carnage behind him. So his search didn't take as nearly as long as it could have. No, after going by foot and turning back into his human form, he saw most of them through a window. With a smile he then brought out his gun again and fired into the building, but this time purposefully missing everyone. He didn't want a fight, just their attention.

"Hello Big Brother! Iratze! And Friends!" He said with a bright giggle and a smile "I just thought you'd like to know that Amos is on the edge of town, fighting creatures from the depths of hell and you'd like to...oh I don't know...do something about it. Because he's been a bad boy! A very bad boy!" Amare pouted "He's been killing all the poor little humans. And I don't like that. So you should do something about it, Big Brother! Or Brontes will try to kill him! And we'd both know right now, Brontes has all the cards- he will win that fight. So I suggest you save your pathetic brother before it's too late." No sooner did he say that, Amare turned back into his God form flew off again. He couldn't afford to stay too long around a bunch of people who want him dead, after all.

Terrorist attack? New Government Weapon or Aliens?

"Breaking news, coming in from Central Station. Officials are urging residents of the city to stay indoors at the threat of this attack. What seemingly was a brisk uneventful winter day, has turned into a massacre downtown. These are just some of the images taken from earlier, which shows a large demon-like creature before it attacked, unprovoked. Viewer discretion is advised, some of these images are disturbing.

The images show Amos before his attack, with a few showing the wreckage that followed.

"This creature has since fled the scene but in no circumstances should anyone be outdoors and if you are not home, find shelter immediately. Government officials have stated that the national guard is en route to this location and a full scale hunt of the creature shall take place soon after. Please do not panic and stay safe, now back to your scheduled programming."

---------------------

Amos screamed his retort at Amare as he flew away, "You don't understand do you! None of you do! You're all a pack of fools, too blind to realize that you have created me! Never did I touch your pathetic creatures before your lonely god made me fall! Coward..

Amos was then attacked by the hell fiends and in his former self he would have been able to kill them swiftly but he was not use to his new form and that was a problem. Easily though, he dispatched three demons before being overwhelmed. The creatures beat him Amos to the ground, gnawing, punching and kicking him over and over again. His body was even picked up and thrown into a building, causing a gaping hole in the side before they were upon him again.

He lost Cerbanis amidst the fray and as his head was beaten into the cement he once again became engulfed in fire, which erupted like a bomb, which engulfed everything that it touched, vaporizing a few of the weaker fiends and scattering the others. The already crumbling building, collapsed upon itself, sending dust and debris everywhere.

In the confusion, Amos called Cerbanis back to him and began to slaughter the hellfiends before they realized what was happening. He managed to dispatch a few more before he was attacked again but this time he had the upper hand and killed the remaining fiends after a long struggle.

Grudgingly, Amos was weakened due to these events and began to limp away.He would have to lay low for a bit to recover his strength after such an exertion. He did not know where to go but followed the darkness, his red eyes glowing ominously, while his hatred burned in his heart.

"Without courage there is no honor and without secrets there is no knowledge!"

A divine scripture...

Armarion was not suprised that his brothers and sisters had yet to even heed his advice and still he was the waiting god the one who knew all secrets and could tempt any mortal.

"Wait..."

Armarion thought.

"That could possibly be the answer to my problem yet an evil one..."

If Armarion had possesed a face he would have been scowling in thought at that moment.

"We shall keep that in mind!"

He thought to himself with contempt and bitterness of the situation at hand, he paid no mind to one of the gods who turned down his offer yet he nodded so he would unsertand that he was listening.

The only disruption that jarred his thinking was the sudden appearance of Amare which he quickly assumed was because Amos was going about causing destruction.

Amare warned them all about Amos which in Armarions mind was not important at the time yet since he heard how much destruction was taking place he knew that it was time to take on Amos.

He stood and looked at everyone through his cloudy vision of magic and he spoke one more time to everyone.

"The time has come for a price to be paid for I will not heed to this untolerable destruction that my once honorable brother is causing to the fair people of earth, I must say farewell now to those of you who will not follow me and I must ask those who understand my goals to join me so for the final time who will JOIN ME?

Armarion stood and walked towards the exit stoping at the threshold and looked upon them all waiting for a few of them to follow.

Seatus had enough of standing around, he finally snapped tired of aimlessly standing. Amos was destroying and killing hundreds, aking their situation worse. Nothing was getting done, finally Amarion spoke up, starting to leave asking if anyone will join him.

Seatus had nothing to lose it was better than standing around. The King of all Seas approached The God, he said "Anything is better than waiting as the world suffers." Seatus didn't care if it was just him and Amarion. If Amos approached him though, he couldn't promise Amarion he'd beat him to a pulp by his true form. That he kept to himself.

[Iratze]

Iratze watched Armarion and Seatus finally decide to collaborate. She gave a pained toward them. They were something like her friends. Yet so was Amos despite all the destruction he now lay upon the mortal world. They would surely all be harmed. There was nothing she could do.

"I must go." She reached toward Armarion, hesitated, pulling her hand away. She wanted his comfort so badly, yet, she knew she could not enjoy that luxury. Not ever.

She took off into the air, an arch of shimmering color, he didn't care if any mortal saw her or not.

"AMARE! "BRONTES!" She called to them. Brontes was the one god she could not locate with her power. Amare, if he were under the power and protection of Brontes, might also be concealed from her senses.

She hesitated, hovering in the air above the city, uncertain as she tried to find Amare. From her vantage point she could see the trail of death and destruction that Amos left behind him. Smoke, fire, craters, all easily seen from the air.

She descended in a long looping spiral toward the place Amos was now retreating.

"Amos?" She didn't follow closely, giving the god plenty of physical space. If he were still angry he could still hurt her. She only drew close enough so that he might hear her. "Amos? Are you hurt?"

"I... I have a message for you..."

It took Amos eons to master his powers, to become a divine instrument of Heaven who was a force to be reckoned with. Not an hour ago, all that was ripped away from him and this new body was very much in its infancy. Time would tell how long it would take him to become accustomed to his new fate.

He was aware of Iratze as she arrived, though he did not see her as a threat. He stopped, slowly turning around to face her, his eyes penetrating her soul. His body was covered in fresh scars, some of them looked very bad but he showed no sign of pain.

His voice took on strange tone as he spoke, "Do you remember the War of Prime? The conflict that spanned a decade against those...Pantheon Gods. Near the end, it was more of a slaughter, their troops kept coming over and over again to no avail. You had came to the front line with a message for me, some unimportant plea to stop from the others. But instead I told you something, "Iratze, never tell anyone this but sometimes, Genocide is the only answer to a problem." I still stand by that Iratze.

He shifted his weight to his left leg, speaking again to her,"Do you feel hatred towards me? I have killed countless humans, so precious but so fragile. Some died screaming, others simply looked at me with a startled expression before they joined the void. So tell me Iratze, what does the messenger have for the monster?

[Iratze]

"Yes. I remember the war of Prime. I remember all the wars. I remember you in each one, the most brave and valorous of all... " Iratze stood before the god of hatred...

... There is a story the humans tell, a folk tale, about a mouse and a lion. There are many folk tales and mythologies among the mortals, none that exactly describe the gods as they actually existed, but there is certainly inspiration at the heart of many tales. The story of the Lion and the Mouse is a very simple premise. In the jungle the largest creature is the Lion, fierce, no one can approach him for fear of his rage and anger. The smallest animal is the mouse. In the end, it is the mouse that is able to find the thorn in the lion's foot and calm the savage beast...

...That story may or may not have been about Iratze and Amos in this very moment...

The smallest god and the mightiest faced one another now.

"I see you now... And I say this with all my heart: I bear no hatred toward you."

"You, are my oldest friend. I have known you since your birth."

"You and I both know that death is not end for any human. Indeed, their bodies lay here as empty fleshy husks, but their souls move on to the underworld..."

"They might be sent to hell by the earth: A tsunami or flood. They might be sent to hell by ill luck: A heart attack or slip on the steps. They might be sent to hell by one another... If they should be sent to hell, instead, by the great sword of a mighty god they should be honored."

They could not go to the underworld and ask they dead if they felt honored or not to be killed by a god. That privilege belonged to Brontes, and Brontes alone. The underworld belonged to him, and he was the only one who could go to and from that place at will.

She envied the dead humans then. They could cross the worlds, and she could not. She looked upon the bodies sprawled out behind Amos in a bloody trail. She felt deep deep sadness, deep deep loneliness, deep deep envy.

They could do what she could not. Iratze used to dance between the worlds.

But the humans, lucky as they were to experience a fraction of her old power, could not return from the underworld.

Iratze wondered, if she had known she were to be trapped in one world, which one should she have chosen?

"Shall you continue to fill the coffers of the underworld with souls, or, shall you put down you flaming sword... just for a moment... I can not, nor do I wish to stop you in whatever quest you deem worthy... But beg you for a moment to take pause and palaver with me. I am your friend and loyal messenger, and I always will be, Amos..."

She swallowed hard, wondering if she would be smote or ignored by the god of anger in his enraged state.

Attack sparks outrage - death toll is in.

The news study was bustling with information, the Anchormen were in complete disarray. A deep sadness filled the very air. Then one of the Anchorman spoke, his tone was very cold, "We have footage of tonight's attack, warning this is not suitable for audiences under the age of thirteen."

This new footage shows Amos, warping in and out, he was everywhere yet no where. Cars were over turned and the destruction was everywhere in his wake. Thankfully, it did not show any one being killed.

The other news anchorman, a young man spoke, his voice quivering, "Death estimates are around 356, with an untold amount of property damage, because of these facts, the army is en route and the city is in lock down. As always, we shall keep you posted."

-------------------------------

As the messenger spoke, Amos listened to her crafted words. He had always known how gifted she was in her trade but each time she wove her words, everything seemed to fall into place. He also noticed the sadness that filled her every word, whether it was because of him or the humans, he could not figure out. He began to realize that she could never truly harm him, as her powers were locked away within herself, so he lowered Cerbanis.

His gravelly voice spoke, "Did you know Iratze, my new powers allow me to control the very emotion that is hate? I could easily induce you to this but I will not, for old times sake. Just know, that before I killed the humans, I made them hate themselves. I chose to let them realize how insignificant they were, then to go quietly into his domain. Then it dawned on me, as I became more aware of my new self, my powers grow and I've come to the conclusion that I can create. I can infest something and turn them into constructs of hatred.

Amos then turned from Iratze, to look at a pile of rubble, which he then walked to and placed his hand upon. A red aura snaked out of his hand and into the stone. It moved, twisted, groaned and something new was born from the nothing.

He walked back to Iratze as his new creature shuffled behind him, standing as high as a human. He stopped uncomfortably close to her, arms distance away, he looked down upon the frail goddess.

His voice was an intoxicating whisper now, "Before you speak again, know that I also know you Iratze. I know that you you couldn't possibly be content here, with so much of your power gone from you. What is it like, to be a fraction of what you once were I wonder. It is wrong, look what Brontes has done to you. I offer you this chance, join me, change as I have done and we can find Brontes and end this once and for all. It is only up to you now.

Amos stretched out his arm, waiting to see if Iratze would take his hand.

[Iratze]

Iratze stared at Amos in wonder.

"Amos. I can not join you I... I..." She was about to go into the old tied and true speech. She could join no one, show no loyalty, take no sides. She looked at the golumn in wonder. "You can Create?" That was not a gift every god possessed. It was a rare gift. How did Amos discover it in his hate? This perplexed Iratze.

The goddess did not dwell on her feelings very often. Not until recently... She had not been created to express her feelings, only to carry the feelings and thoughts of others back and forth.

To her creators she was an object, a phone, and that fact was more apparent now than ever before.

She could not take sides. She was designed to be neutral.

If he could create, could he change her?

If he could change her? Would she want to?

Iratze looked back to Amos.

She was never a powerful goddess, but now that Brontes had cast her out, she was more powerless than ever.

Brontes, who in the past had treated her like family, how could he do such a thing to her? And even so, how come he had not contacted her now? Why would he not spake to her himself? Why did Amare. The child god. He blinked in and out of her life in the past few months. Once her closest godly friend he now blinked in and out of her life like she were nothing. He had even used his powers on her to get her to speak with him. All he had to do was ask. Did Amare think only of himself and his Brontes? What of his brothers? Like Amos or Armarion...

Armarion. She thought of the god of wisdom. He had confessed love for her. She could not love him back. The way she was created made it impossible. Yet, wasn't he a wise god? Why had he not fought for her? Devised some plan? Find a way... At least try... Instead he looked right past her...

There were always more important things at hand. The smallest goddess was only a tool. She thought of all the gods and goddesses, sending her back and forth on errands. Some were kind... but... when it came down to it...

She was only a messenger. She had no power, no will to choose, her creators had given her nothing for herself.

She discovered that she hated them all.

She discovered that she hated herself most of all.

She took the hands of Amos, she took a step forward to close the small gap between them.

"Change me."

If Amos could smile, he would be doing so. His voice, distorted and mad, spoke directly into her soul, "Awake. Become what you were always meant to be."

His entire body started to glow a deep red, while his grasp on Iratze tightened. His entire aura was revealing itself, clouding the area with so much hate and malice that it would have warped the minds of any mortal being in proximity. Amos infected Iratze with his hate and it flowed through himself and into her. With this power came knowledge of combat and dark powers beyond her wildest dreams. Amos was a mighty god, but this experience would leave him incredibly drained and vulnerable.

The hum of the energy being released reached its epitome, any god would be able to hear it while it lasted. Then they exploded apart, Amos fell backwards and into a wall, the humming died down slowly, a cloud of ash had risen. Amos tingled quite strangely, never had anything like this happened, at least not to his knowledge. It was intoxicating, the mere though of having someone on his side and not against him. Here he had Iratze, hurt as he, and she truly made the perfect candidate.

From where he sat, wedged into the building, not able to really move he could see now. The ash cloud was dissipating and where Iratze had stood, there was a cocoon. Crystalline and dark red, with a slight hint of neon colors. Not unlike his own that he had emerged from, minus the neon of course. It hummed ever so slightly and he couldn't help but feel protective of it.

The others would be here soon he thought, they would be so shocked to realize another one of them had fallen. Perhaps it would make them realize that what he was doing wasn't all that bad. Anything to get back at Brontes was deemed necessary. If anything, like Amos, they had pushed Iratze over the edge but unlike him, she wouldn't be alone.

Amos tried to stand up, but found himself unable, his power was drained but he could already feel it coming back. His golem was still there, so he did the only thing that came natural and stripped it of its power. It crumbled back into its rock and stone, while he finally felt strong enough to stand. He called Cerbanis over and leaned upon it, while watching and waiting to see what would emerge from the cocoon.

"I do have a plan." he told Amarion. "If you wan't to stop your brother it can't just be us two. Find any one of our brothers and sisters to help us, we'll need as many as possible." Seatus took out the horn forcefully placing it into Armarions hands. "We can summon my leviathan as extra support and lure him to the sea.I'll hold him off for now to buy you time." Seatus kind of said in a commanding tone "Were going to this right now." he started dashing off.

Seatus dashed through the ravaged city made by Amos. Rubble all over the place, burning buildings and people lying dead. People begged to help him, but he just couldn't. He ignored their pleas exiting the city, he finally saw what seemed a river into a forest. Seatus jumped in deep to the bottom, beginning to swim.

After a while he jumped out, and looked around. The forest was eerily silent, and no life was seen. Seatus theorized Amos had to be here. Then he could hear that unholy voice speaking, creeping silently hiding behind a tree. Taking a peak, Iratze was in front of him Amos saying "Awake. Become what you were always born to be." He saw Amos transforming her.

It was time, now distracted. Seatus started his transformation quickly. He rose up into his monster form, looking right down at Amos he swung his colossal fist at him.

Amos was caught of guard. Already weakened he was no match for Seatus in his true form, when his fist hit him. He flew, like a brick straight into several trees, ripping them asunder.

He tried to stand once more but his knees buckled and he then began to laugh in a sick manner. "You cannot stop what has already happened, God of the Dying Sea. Iratze was smart, she chose to join me, then be a puppet to them. Perhaps you should do the same Seatus? Or do you want your domain to become even more polluted by the humans. Poor Seatus, once the master of an entire world, now a dog, reduced to nothing. Open your eyes, fool.

Amos finally stood up, he was in not shape to fight but he couldn't leave Iratze. The only thing he would have to do is use their hate and empower himself with that.

He spoke again to Seatus, "If you join me, at least you can be my dog. Yes, the mighty Seatus, grovelling at my feet. What do you think? He then readied himself for his retaliation.

[iratze]

Amos took her hands and Iratze closed her eyes.

Amos came close to her, he was closer to her now than anyone had ever been before...

Iratze was enveloped by the hatred of Amos. So palpable was his power that it became a shell around her, a cocoon, an egg for her to be reborn from within.

Iratze was swallowed whole by his hatred. She thought she was going to die.

As an immortal this thought had never occurred to her. Ending. She knew that the Sun and the Moon or Brontes could bring about her demise, but, they needed her services so she had no need to fear such an end. Until now... Now the possibility was real. Amos had become something so powerful he could negate what his parents had created, he could end Iratze, and for a moment, she was quite certain that he had.

She was surprised to find relief in that thought. 'No more will I have to carry the burden of others' And she knew only darkness for a long long time.

Then a second thought. 'Pitiful. That you should rather die than be who you are. How is it that you, an eternal being, should feel such relief in thy demise? How is it that you, the bright and diverse rainbow, should have such little self worth?'

'It is because I was created thusly. To serve others, and never myself.'

'Who would create such a being? Why give you a heart if it should never be filled? Even the humans are given more than this.'
'My creators they only meant to bridge the gap between worlds.' Iratze explained to this other-inner-voice.
'And now? Now that there is no bridge and no where to go?'

'They have abandoned me...' She admitted. '... I have been alone for so long. They have forgotten the great favors and great feats I performed for them in the old days. As I became useless so did I become... abandoned...'

That other-inner voice ceased to argue with her, in fact, she realized that it was her own voice.

"The might Sun and Moon who created me. I am older than all their children. I used to think of them as parents... That is, unlit I watched them bear their own children. How quickly did I realize that they held no love for me at all. Though I was among the fist of their sentient creations, I was given less consideration than the humans. The humans have small lives and large sins, surely I whom have never turned against them and have always been loyal deserve more love than them? No... I am below the humans in their glinting eyes... I was never their child only their tool. Where are the mighty ones now? They wink at us from high above, but how is it that they have no power to relieve us of our curse? They simply watch us and laugh... I hate them both. I spite my creators the Sun and the Moon! I spite all that they have created, all their children and all the men and women they have set upon the earth! They will known my wrath."
Iratze changed.

"Brontes. He who should understand most has shown me the least favor. I have known Brontes longer than all the rest, for I was there before he even knew the young Amare. He was kinder than the Sun and Moon in some ways, acknowledged me in a way they never did... But only in the saftey of his underworld. I thought I'd always be welcomed in that underworld. I thought I might even feel safe in his underworld... Yet, I was cast out like all the rest. When he returned to earth in these past few days, when I needed answers the most, when I needed him the most, he only has time for his beloved Amare. He protects Amare and leaves Iratze to the wolves and the fates. He holds Amare close and leaves Iratze alone... More alone than ever. I hate him. I hate every soul he dare harbor in his underworld. He shall know my wrath!"

Iratze transformed.

The black stone she was enveloped within began to crack. Like an obsidian egg, the stone began to flake away as she emerged...

Her wings unfurled and her eyes opened. Her skin was ashy and dark, her hair spilled over her bare body in ragged waves. She still had her rainbow aspect, but, instead of bright glitter she glowed with darkness, like a blacklight or ember. She was taller, curvier, and... and... powerfull...

She had never felt power such as this before. Her old self had power, true, to pass between worlds was a power few gods possessed. Yet, that power was for the purpose of service. Now she had power, as well as the ability to wield it for herself.

"Amos." She was staring at her own hands. "Amos it worked... You have changed me... You have freed me..."

She looked up, and saw Seatus and Amos.... Rage flared within her.

There was a flash of color and darkness, Iratze was quicker than ever, and stood by Amos in an instant. She wrapped her wings around him, they were huge long and spindly things now, to shield him from whatever attack might come next.

"Stand down Seatus." She stared at him intently, curiously, angrily. "You are so quick to judge, you think you can absolve your own sins by taking down Amos? That is not how justice works... There is no justice..."

Her eyes blazed, she felt like she would boil over with emotion, she gripped the shoulders of Amos. She wondered if her emotion and hatred might fuel him as well...

"You are not a child of the Sun nor Moon. There is little reason for you to take their side against us or Brontes. The Sun and Moon created the humans, Brontes harbors them after death. Seatus, you are stuck in the middle of their struggle. The humans poison your ever shrinking kingdom. This is how the Sun and Moon encroach on your domain. They dare to pull at your tides and enjoy the bounty of your waters while you and yours suffer at their expense... They send you a kind letter of thanks on the back of their meek messenger to convince you to forget their crimes against you... Foolish... Now I am free of their hold upon me and I am free to tell you the truth. You were kind to me when I was meek, so, I shall tell you the truth now... My creators never respected your domain and they never will. Their children will never see you as an equal god, they will treat you as one under those from Heaven, and what Brontes thinks is worse... They and their children deserve only your hate. Listen to Amos. Join us. Hate those that deserve it and dole out your vengeance in triple the measure!"

The words of Amos and Iratze were very seductive making Seatus stop in his tracks. Those words, he wasn't of their blood, the humans tainted his waters which he hated so much.

Seatus closed his eyes feeling lightheaded. The images of tainted waters, whaling and other atrocities filled his mind. Imprisoned sea life, treated like property. Hate was starting rise higher. Then an image of a hateful form of himself, ravaging human cities killing millions around him with his Leviathan. The worst part in his vision he even killed his own creations. The vision of an evil self and Leviathan made Seatus so disturbed. Terrified he opened up his eyes again.

"You'll have to kill me." he said fearlessly. Seatus had to not fight them physically but mentally too, their devilish words could make this mission fail if he listens to them. He raised up his multiple crablike arms, lifting up water from the river creating a massive wave. He then pushed them forward at full speed towards the two, the wave picked up trees and giant boulders. Most of the forest started going underwater as the wave advanced.

Where the Dark Things Grow

Kyra let out a small laugh before awkwardly covering her lips, her eyes going wide. She wasn't used to this whole laughing thing - it was a trait that the humans had apparently adopted without any outside influence but she found it an odd and alien thing. When she realised that he wasn't looking at her like she had two heads, her hand dropped away and she fixed herself with a dry cough. Awkward.

Despite her weirdness, a genuine smile graced her lips. The End herself could be happy when she wanted to be, or more appropriately, when she felt like she needed to be. Holding the same smile, her face dropped and her eyes shifted closed. When he was finished talking and after a considerable pause, she allowed them to flutter open again before studying the God of Play. Kyra was sad to think that she was his end; she was all their end. A soft smile blessed her and she very slowly leaned in towards him.

"I don't think you fully got me but you know, Tet... you're the most sane out of all of them. Isn't that a little bit odd for the God of Play?"

The scene appeared rather romantic but Kyra topped it off with an awkward ruffle of her hair before once again laughing at something only she found funny. "This is a weird thing to say considering everyone else seems to despise them but I've grown to quite like the humans. You see, they have this phrase and I think it goes a little like this - 'The darker the sky, the brighter the stars'. It gives me a little sense of purpose in this uncomfortably gentle abyss." This time, she dragged him into a hug which lasted for a few short seconds before the shadows devoured Kyra's form whole and she was lost to the world.

Kyra knew what was going on with Amos and the world around her - the shadows had already gathered in their little moot and were furiously describing multiple scenes. Amos had been consumed by his hate. Apparently Iratze had joined him as well which definitely didn't help the situation. Nonetheless, they were just acting like a bunch of spoiled brats and they needed someone to ground them in reality.

So, not long after Seatus had appeared, Kyra joined him. The shadows materialised her themselves, almost as if a million tiny shards of broken glass had been collected together and organised into one, small and angry little piece of wonder.

"Amos! That's enough! Stop acting like a fool!" She hadn't even transcended to her true form yet so she looked quite docile compared to those around her but Kyra was one of the stronger Goddesses. You didn't mess with her and get away lightly. Or you did, if she was being awkward about it.

Stomping her foot, she imitated human behaviour and pointed an accusing finger at Amos first. "Quit with your bullshit drama! You wouldn't know hatred if it hit you in the face! You think that because you had a lovely little raising in the heavens that you gain some sort of entitlement? You fwinding it a wittle tuff out here in the bwig bwad wurled? Stop it right now you self-entitled bastard! Maybe Brontes realised that you all need to see what it's really like down here? Ever spared a thought to that!" Maybe chiding a towering menace wasn't the best idea but Kyra had the utmost faith that he wouldn't strike.

Wheeling about, she chose Iratze to fire at next. Her dark eyes were fiery in the destructive scene around her yet Kyra seemed to fit into it all, like destruction and chaos was her home. "And you? What's your excuse? I can't tell who's the bigger idiot - the actual idiot or the person who listens to him? Iratze, you're not capable of hatred; you're one of the most gentle beings in the bloody Universe. This isn't you - I can understand if that lump of muscle and idiocy over there gets a little too much iron pumping into him but you're not capable of doing anything that hatred demands of you."

Turning, she shook her head at the both of them. "You both speak of hatred and neither of you are capable of it. True hatred? You can't get that from longing for some petty vengeance or your twisted idea of justice. To know what real hatred is, you need to resent every fibre of your own being. You need to dance on that line of existence and find every part of you longing to just tip over. You think you know what it is to hate? Fools."

Water from Seatus began to flood around her but her form was still made from shadows so she was mostly alright. Still cold, of courde.

Frowning, she retracted her finger and huddled in on herself, trying to pointlessly get warm again. She didn't want to fight them - Amos and Iratze had treated her with kindness. No, she didn't want to but she would if she had to. They were slowly becoming more bitter and twisted. They would destroy themselves and render her useless. She was the end, the destroyer of all things. They wouldn't steal her job.

Amos was relieved, Iratze was now under his control and what she had become sent a small shiver down his spine. So intoxicating and pervasive was his power, that it could warp anything it touched. He rose, feeding off his Iratze's hate, something that he had never predicted. They could work in tandem now, fueling one another with their raw emotions, growing stronger by the second. He carefully pushed her wings aside to look at Seatus, who was taking a moment to reflect on what they had said to him. Though he was not at one-hundred percent, Amos was feeling much stronger.

Then Kyra arrived, the little shadow Goddess. He listened without retaliating, her words were meaningless and futile. As she finished, he was about to speak to her but fate had other plans.

"You'll have to kill me." and then Seatus summoned the water.

He whispered to himself before the wave hit,"So be it." He could not outrun it and Cerbanis was lost to him for the moment.

The rush of the wind was a prelude to the wave that crashed upon him. He was a rock upon a beach made of green. The water was too much for him and he was carried with it, fighting to regain control of his movement. Every manner of debris hit him and he hit them in return, and every time he grew angrier but could not do a thing about it. Eventually his body hit a tree that would just not budge, even from the force of his impact. He remained, pinned there for what seemed like an age before the water finally stopped, eventually coming to a halt altogether.

His eyes snapped open, revealing a red glow with malevolence. His body fixed itself into an upright position and then exploded in phis aura once more. Not as intense as direct contact, like with Iratze, but it still warped the surrounding area which turned the flora into abominations. Flowers withered and died, bushes grew thorns, while the trees became gnarled and dead. He was a ways off from hence he began but he could still see Kyra and Seatus, staring. He could not find Iratze.

He began to walk towards Kyra, every step he took, the ground became corrupted. Amos spoke to Kyra in a cold, alien voice, "I am no fool, Kyra. The only entitlement that I have a right to, is my home. You would not know what a home is, now do you.. Sun's Scorn? Ah that's right, you fled like a mouse from our Mother and all she wanted to tell you was how sorry she was but this is besides the point I believe. Every step he took, he closed the gap between himself and Kyra. Seatus loomed in the background.

He spoke vehemently now, "Look at me Kyra, do you think I haven't learned to hate myself? Do you think it was just Brontes to blame, for this? I have many reasons Kyra, reasons that are beyond you and I will not share them. I cannot speak for Iratze but know her reasons are as good as mine. Now, do us all a favor before you judge so quickly about things you cannot even comprehend, think. Amos arrived in front of Kyra then, and he loomed over her, his intense gaze was unwavering as he looked down upon her.

His voice dropped to a whisper now, audible only to her, "Your insults have gone too far, Night's Queen. Come, let me teach you the meaning of my hate.

In an instant, two things happened; firstly, he raised his right arm, palm outstretched and like a bullet Cerbanis appeared in his hand. Secondly, his aura of hate exploded around himself, hoping to make Kyra's own hate rise, which he could then influence.

He then brought his sword down upon her..

It did not take Seatus long to reject her words, then attack...

Kyra arrived, and spoke her turn. Iratze did not respond, she wasn't sure what to say to the goddess. Wasn't it evident... Iratze hated herself more than she hated all the rest. She was the gentlest goddess in the land... She was made to be so. Kyra was born, she could reject her parents and go her own way. Iratze could not... Not until now. Not until Amos had changed her. He had the gift of creation and true change a most coveted power among even the divine beings. It was thought that only the Sun and Moon had this capability, not so...

Iratze closed her eyes. "I see that they have no use for me now that I am no longer... obedient. Eons of service and this is how I am repaid with scorn and violence at the first sign of displeasure... I have spent my existence carrying their words, all their words, on the fastest winds, over the earth, and even across the worlds... When I finally speak words of my own they fall upon deaf ears... Perhaps I am a fool to be surprised by this..." She spoke to Amos just before the attack...

... Iratze saw the wave, and wrapped her arms and wings around Amos. She clung to him with all her strength... It was not enough. The force of the water dragged him away from her grasping fingers. She was tumbling, spitting water from her lips, clenching her eyes shut against the harsh salt water...

She washed up away from the others, her tiny lithe form carried much farther than Amos. The wave would not have killed the old Iratze, she was made to be durable for far too often did one shoot-the-messenger. The old Iratze would not have had the strength to rise up...

... The new Iratze, however, found herself sore but not unconscious. She shook the water off her wings, and wrung out her hair. She was furious, and that fury fueled her now. She had been attacked before, but not by Seatus, and not like this. "So it seems that Amos is the only one who knows me now..." She looked for him then, the God of Hate and Corruption. She saw him in the distance, bringing his sword down upon Kyra. She saw Seatus in his mighty godly form facing off against the god of Hate as well.

Iratze seemed to be forgotten for the moment, as she often was before. She watched events unfolding and was about to fly into the fray, but hesitated.

"Something... Someone is missing..."

Was it not Armarion leading the call to arms?

And with Kyra here no doubt Tet would not be far behind.

"Where is Armarion now?" She wondered, her emotions driving her to think of the god of Wisdom before the god of Play...

She reached inside herself, and found that she still had her old powers. She still had the power to find any god she wished. It was a practical function for the messenger of many gods in-between many worlds... She sought Armarion with her power, she even spoke his name. "Armarion..."
