@NattyFairy!
Mailsi is going to be all over that!

And, I need to establish character ties for Mailsi. :)

EDIT:
And Ninja'd

I wonder if Mailsi and Kieran know each other because of the close friendship between her mother and Kara.

Sure. I'm pretty sure that Mailsi probably knows Mar'i for the same reasons.

@Natty Whoah, Casey Harper is the exact name one of my characters has in one of my roleplays. Whoah.

I can think of another name if it helps reduce any confusion?

@Blue Demon I don't recall Dick being close with the extended Super-Family. I know Dick and Kal have a good relationship but it was Tim who was friends with Superboy and I have no idea where Kara fits in with everyone haha.

I wasn't thinking Dick. I was thinking Tim actually.

But I just fact checked myself and I was completely wrong. Haha. ;) Never mind me. *headdesks*

Yeah, Kara just does her own thing.

@Blue Demon I know she's been part of the New Teen Titans here and there back during Vol. 3 I believe but I think that was when Superboy was dead and the team just needed a heavy hitter.

Give me a second to go find my copy.

EDIT:
Yup she was around with Tim, Cassie, Ms. Martian, Blue Beetle (Jaime), Rose Wilson, Kid Devil and Raven

And now I remember why I stopped reading Teen Titans with Tim. (Oh lord)

As I recall that whole series got really... umm crazy. I also recall Rose Wilson taking her clothes off a lot.

Yeah... with the whole cloning Kon, Rose and Devil Kid (Whatever that was)... It got strange fast. And all the little inane pop culture references they kept throwing in to seem "cool".

I'm gonna bleach my brain now.

@Blue Demon First rule of comics, don't put pop culture references into print. They very quickly become dated.

Also I kind of chuckle with the pop culture references in this IC since even if something came out tomorrow and it was referenced, it would still be dated by ten years in the IC. Now that said, if a character specifically listens/watches/reads older media then it's different.

Unfortunately you cannot stop dating a story/movie/show/book/whatever. It happens. But throwing in references just to be cool isn't.

@Blue Demon Indeed, although I love how the Gotham TV show has basically decided to disregard the concept of time and is all over the place with it. One scene they're using cellphones and driving late 50's model cars the next, they're answering rotary phones beside a flat screen monitor.

I've stopped watching Gotham. It was... boring actually. Though I love both Flash and Arrow still. <3

Flash is amazing. Although I'm a bit biased since he's my favorite DC character.

I'm working on a feature film at the minute where we're doing something similar. We're trying to create a sense of timelessness; of existing outside our own chronology, not belonging to a specific era. One of our props is the new Justin Bieber album, on cassette.
