I am currently writing up an evil overlord character. But I've been side tracked.

Also, I'm liking the king. Sun and Moon powers activate!

I FORGOT AN APPEARANCE!

@Leslie Hall

Glad you're liking him. If you want something to be altered to work better with Lucinda let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Anyway off to find a Kingly picture. Maybe I'll steal something from dark souls.

and lastly....

@Frengo

I did steal the description of the sword of Celakor from your old king in case you are not okay with that. Well, I did change a few proper nouns.

If you'll have me, here's my CS. I'll edit it though since I noticed that the King and Queen will have some sort of edits as well :D I'll match my bio and other details when the details have been cleared since the Queen has the inability to give birth-- so it might complicate stuff :D

I think Sariel would be proud to have Lethonel as a son. Of course still need to wait for word of god to accept them both, but whatever. I think after Leslie's revisions Lucinda will be able to give birth, but I'm sure we can work something out even if that stays in there.

Possibly. What particularly bothers you about him?

Mostly the part where "he can't die as long as his will is strong enough to not... want to die. Oh, he has a phylactery, sure, but it's optional."

Pretty airtight defense.

I guess I was never too worried about that because I felt like Raven could handle him anyway. Perhaps a compromise could be made with ArtifactCreator on this.

It took a while, but I made a Dark Lord. I also included a somewhat motivation for the Dark Side in there, so we have something to go off of other than "Let's just kill the Light people"

So, just to clarify, the demons Nyarlathotep summons can be convinced to defect him?

@Esterdi I will say yes, technically. But all things considered, I doubt trying to reason with a demon would be very effective.

I didn't write it in stone, but I kind of implied that the Oblivion Monolith is the catalyst for Nyarlathotep to summon demons with. So destroying the monolith is going to be a lot more feasible than trying to talk a demon out of fighting for them.

That wouldn't really be in-character for Sharp, unfortunately (destroying the monolith). He'd much rather try to appeal to a demon's self-interest and convince him that serving is not the best he could do (and that there is a no strings attached way out).

At least, that's what I think of when I imagine out-of-control demons: Not mindless harbringers of destructions, but sentient entities carrying out their own plans intelligently.

@Esterdi I think it'd be a curious thing to see one of Nyarlathotep's demons be convinced to abandon them half way down the track.

Although Sharp would have to figure out that no-strings attached way for them to break free. It won't be as easy as a quick conversation. The demons can't just decide to abandon Nyarlathotep and do whatever they want in the mortal world, since the only reason they're kept here is via the monolith.

I'm sure we can work together and figure out an interesting way to make this happen, though.

Not fully done reading the dark lord, but I am glad to see that one, there is still reason for the sword of Celakor to cut through anything, as Nyarlathotep, has otherwise impenetrable armor, but also glad that the only real way that any characters have of "beating him for good" is Raven. Assuming Raven can steal his soul and seal it in his lantern. Of course that would require an opportunity and the desire to do so, but its a thought. If there are any other ways we have of beating him that I missed let me know.

@Cultural Titan I feel like trapping Nyarlathotep's soul would be a good option, but it would probably take a lot more than Raven's lantern to contain it. I think the main way of defeating them would be for the Light side to find a way to break the connection between Nyarlathotep and the darkness of humanity, because without that they're not a very powerful being. Then they can be sealed away.

How they'd go about doing that? Well, we can always find a way via space magic or something.

@Leslie Hall

The real problem is weakening Nyarlathotep to the point where he can be trapped. once inside it would be done. of course this puts the light side in an odd spot where they still need to kill raven and almost have to destroy the lantern to do so. Releasing Nyarlathotep.
