Coilguns are power hogs and generally unsafe to use at ww2 level tech, though.
How about having a strange fantasy metal which acts like a memory polymer when you run a current through it?
Basically you have a gun with internals which rapidly deform to electricity in order to launch projectiles.
You have a "railgun" which uses mechanism akin to airguns and crossbows to launch projectiles by electricity. Rapid fire will be straining on the "memory metal" but on the other hand your shots will be considerably more powerful, depending on which setting you use.
At low end your bullets are akin to rifles from the last century while at higher power they'll be comparable to 12-15mm anti-tank rifles. For the better efficiency you'll be also carrying different ammo for the different roles. So the anti-tank rounds will be larger to make better use of the weapon. You can mix the loads and power settings for specialized purposes but it's usually not recommended.
Its issues will be the sensitivity to mud an dirt at the battery part (you'll insert D-size non-reusable batteries) and well, the whole fact it needs two kinds of "ammo". So logistics will be difficult outside your borders.

How does it sound?
Your nation will be the only place where they found this "memory metal" yet. And you traditionally refuse to sell this to anyone. Of course you should give it a better sounding fantasy name than "memory metal".

Hard question for me to word but id like to show the diversity of the not!USA.

And I know some people like to horde and say only mine or that this ethnicity will not kill this one etc etc but irl, USA Muslim soldiers fought Muslim soldiers in afghanistan/iraq with valor. In Vietnam, ethnic USA orientals fought fellow orientals with valor.

Just curious, I just feel having all generic white guys to be bland.

So long you ask for permission prior and say how you want to use them it's always fine.
Also it's generally assumed that nearly all races and most of the cultures are present in all nations to at least some degree.
I previously made the statement that elves live pretty much everywhere on the planet in limited numbers. In some countries this quantity is larger due to either friendly relations with Yllendthyr or because it used to belong to them. In others it's less for similar reasons. For example elves hate massive colds because their bodies keep in warmth only half as good as it does for humans.

Most of us won't mind if asked, should be interesting actually.

In regards to the anti-tank problem, you could just use, you know, what people actually used for infantry to disable tanks.

Anti-tank guns, PIATs or RPGs, even regular grenades that stuck on contact or something could work instead of big fancy coilguns. But I have no issue with it as long as it's fair and at least scientifically plausible.

I don't think you'd realistically have any of the derro. Maybe some other "dwarves" like those in Vinculi, but the derro are pretty much exclusively in inland Moravia.

The gnomes could plausibly have a small to medium portion of the population in any nation. They're this world's equivalents of the Jews with Mostia being their Israel that was taken by Ceresia a few centuries back.

I would love to see this considering you could possibly have the people of two enemy nations just chilling over coffee although Fusan Zenshi might be a small minotiry

But any races that I choose for a plot will be from family lines that have existed in Brusaleye for at least two generations, to deter any real asshattery.

And I am not writing in a demographic, any races that I choose for a plot will literally be one or two characters and their issues in a dominant human society. I'm not going to write about a brigade of gnomes supported by naga archers.. well, that would be pretty amusing.

Sweet! I'll try to get my App up ASAP but it's currently late right now so it will most likely be up sometime tomorrow. I'm going to be using my App from a previous game such as this that kinda fell through.
