Bio(Two paragraphs, minimum):
Dana was born in rural england back in the middle ages. She and her mother lived in a forest cabin apart from the normal folk, due to the unfounded rumours of her mother being a witch (truth to be told she was a folk healer and a midwife). From an early age, Dana took a liking to the herbalism and healing, and her curious nature took the best of her in her more than often field trips. One day, though, she caught sight of an strange beast. Neither man nor wolf. Had she been exposed to werewolves myth like the vast majority of people, Dana would've fled the spot. But she had been raised quite differently, and had taken the teachings of her mother to help the wounded no matter how or what they were to heart. She helped dress and tend to the creature's horrific silver-stained wounds, and even provide some nourishment to it. As he regained his senses, he adressed himself as Brian the Wolf-Cursed, and said that he was a creature of honor, and would sometime repair the favour back.
It didn't take long. As Dana grew up in a fine, somewhat comely woman, the rumours of her following her mother's steps into the dark arts came to an all time high, and it didn't take too long to spark a witch hunt. A local youth who made advances towards Dana but was soundly rejected was the final straw. Being healers, and not fighters, the outcome was evident. Dana's mother was lynched before her eyes, and Dana herself was badly burnt and left to die.
None of her assailants survived that day, as an enraged Brian ripped every single of the lynchers apart, as the young woman still clung to what little life she had left. Brian, being no healer himself, faced a cruel choice. Leave her die, or save her and turn her into a werewolf. Dana still doesn't comprehend why he chose what he chose, but the end result was that Dana was transformed into a werewolf that day, which saved her life.
Out of guilt, the Wolf-cursed taught Dana the ropes, and the two became not unlike master and disciple as they roamed throughout the forest canopies of Europe. Which were steadily but surely growing smaller and smaller, leaving practically no room for the werewolves. It was then when Dana decided to migrate to North America alongside Brian, not because the forests, but also because the many opportunities the new world parts offered to her herbalism.
At the same time, the scientific displine known as medicine caught Dana's eye, and inbetween coming to terms with her nature and roaming the forests, she studied the discipline formally, becoming enamored with the selfless ethic of the science. Dana wished to be a doctor with all her heart, cursed or not. She started to smile more often.
Until the other werewolves power struggles tore her beloved master apart. Brian, unfortunately, had been in the way of the Silver Moon, and he stood little chance. But Dana wasn't going to bow down to the pack so easily, not with all the poisonous drugs they took profit from. Dana could understand Brian dying to another werewolf, and she didn't resent that fact, but the medic in her could not stand the drug racket. She then joined the NYPD as a forensic, in order to help the people clean the place from that noxious influence, putting her expertise in the supernatural as well as her medical expertise to help the department.
Personality: Dana is a withdrawn, shy woman, which is defined by her love of medicine and her actual willingness to help others whenever she can. However, after being on the receiving end of some of the worst traits of humanity, Dana has developed a thick shell of cynicism and sarcasm which is quite hard to shatter. She delights herself in making abrasive, bitter remarks of her peers, although deep down, she's loyal to the lot, like a wolf to the pack. And her pack is the NYPD.
Powers: Dana is a bit of a runt of a werewolf, being slightly weaker than the average, but slightly faster aswell due to her lithe physique.
Dana has also keener senses than most other werewolves, in particular her smell, which can match those of police dogs. Couple with her analytical skills and forensic knowledge, she's a skilled tracker.
Dana can also speak with other canids, but she mostly doesn't bother. Dogs are STUPID on the most part, and wolves in NY? Get. Real.
In addition to her werewolf powers, Dana is a skilled healer. She also practices Kung fu to keep somewhat fit, but she's a far shot from a proper martial artist.
Other: Dana keeps a K-9 companion around called Agent Porkchop. Naturally, she can track as well as porkchop with her keen senses, if not better, but she wants him to feel useful and keep appearance with the rest of the people who are not in the loop. She also carries a dart gun with Wolfsbane (for werewolves) and a powerful blood coagulant (for disabling vampires and quick first aid) just in case.
She also loves being petted and being scratched behind her ear
