Dozens upon dozens of various corporations and companies make their home in the Tokyo District of Neo-Japan, but almost all of them are partly or entirely owned by one of the major mega-corporations. These are a few of the most notable ones in the Tokyo-District. These all-encompassing mega-corporations often own multiple subsidiaries and divisions around the world. They are the superpowers of the world, with the largest corporations having far more political, economic, and military power than even the most powerful nation-states. Due to the sheer number of corporations in the world- I'll allow characters to "create" various corporations for whatever needs or products they want to introduce.

Bio-Engineering, and Cybernetic surgery are common practice in this day and age. Popular amongst the rich and powerful, biotechnology typically means the implantation and development of genetic or biological enhancements. This includes cloning specific organs and enhancing them, implanting the enhanced organs into the body. It also involves the modification of natural bodily functions for cosmetic and beneficial effect. Cybernetic technology that deals with the development of artificial devices or machines that can be surgically implanted into a humanoid form to improve or otherwise augment their physical or mental abilities, and has replaced prosthetic as the primary method of replacing injured or destroyed limbs. Bio and Cyber-tech come in various grades, and cost different amounts depending on their grade.

The mainstay of weapons technology in this day and age are high-velocity ballistic weapons. Loud, heavy and hard hitting, mass driving technology has made smaller caliber ammunition more and more effective against body armor and flesh. Effective in most situations, ballistic weapons remain one of the more effective and reliable methods of killing other human beings. However, lightweight but powerful laser weapons are also available, and high powered plasma weapons are also available to the particularly wealthy. Energy-Bladed weapons are common in this era, especially due to Neo-Japan's firearm restrictions.

Due to the typically violent nature of their very existence, Ronin are often heavily armored and well protected against firearms and close combat weapons alike. The measure of protection is always up to the individual of course.

• Civilian Grade 250Cr - Little more than a vest or shirt made of ballistic weave, this non-descript, easy to find, easy to buy body armor his readily available to anyone seeking a bit of protection from the dangers of the underworld. It can protect one from low caliber handgun rounds, but will struggle to stop higher caliber or armor piercing ammunition. On the bright side, it can be worn under almost anything, and comes in as many designs and colors as there are shirts and colors.
• Security Grade 2,000Cr - Common security grade armor comes in the form of a vest with armor plates on it, backed by layers of ballistic weave. These plated vests are commonly seen on Security Guards and Police forces and can stop limited amounts of high caliber weapons fire. Somewhat harder to conceal than Civ-Grade Armor, you may get funny looks, but no one will question you for wearing this.
• Combat Grade 5,000Cr - Mil-spec, full-body Combat-Grade Armor is the most common type of armor worn by Ronin expecting to get into combat and regular firefights. Worn by higher level Corp-Security and Military units, this body armor offers high degrees of protection and usually comes with an integrated HUD system, though most would still advise against taking direct fire for prolonged periods of time. Its considerably harder to cover up, and most security won't like it when you walk around with it on and thus attracts more attention. Then again, most security are reluctant to risk their lives stopping someone so clearly better equipped than them.
• Elite Grade 20,000Cr - The highest quality armor, mechanically assisted, and typically only worn by elite operators in Corp-Sec or Private Military, this hard to obtain armor, while definitely not invincible, rewards its wearer with almost unparalleled protection from small arms fire. Slim fitting, but extremely potent, this armor would be easier to hide if its features weren't so prominent. Typical civilians and even Corp-sec spotting you in this armor will typically avoid you- its obvious something bad is probably going down soon.
• Armored Coat 2,000Cr - This tough jacket is designed to look like a typical jacket or longcoat, but is often lined with thick layers of ballistic weave, and occasionally armor plates. This plain-looking jacket can even fit over most body armor with little difficulty.
• Armor Supplement 1,000Cr - Additional thick plates attached to one's body armor. These make an individual considerably more noticeable, but provides considerably more protection to exposed areas.
• Stealth Coat 5,000Cr - This plain, nondescript coat or jacket is made of a smart nano-fabric that can, at will, bend the patterns of light around an individual to make the coat appear invisible. The camouflage only applies to the parts of the body covered by the jacket- feet or hands sticking out of the jacket's cover will still be visible. The camouflaging technology can be disrupted by small arms fire, but can still function even with holes in the fabric.

Either by choice, or by necessity, some Ronin have invested in cybernetic replacements, or bio enhancements. These enhancements can be anything from limb replacements, to cybereyes, extra hearts, or dermal armor plates. Their reasons and function often vary, but the cost typically varies by grade.

• Null-Grade 250Cr - Overall inferior quality tech, these parts perform poorly when compared to their natural counterpart, and are typically only used by the dirt poor. Note that no sophisticated 'body enhancements' can be of Null-Grade (IE Skin-Armor plates, or anything involving the head). This tech is often extremely intrusive and conspicuous.
• C-Grade 2,500 - The most common grade of Cyber/Bio-tech are generally equivalent to or slightly superior to natural/human counterparts. These mass market items are easy to find and are installed relatively easily.
• B-Grade 5,000 - Better constructed and of higher quality than C-Grade, this tech is generally superior to its natural counterpart. B-Grade products are high-end mass market items, and their cost reflects this.
• A-Grade 10,000 - These masterfully crafted pieces of technology are custom fitted and adjusted to the user’s physiology. Unavailable on the mass market, the user must undergo tests to analyze their body’s condition and submit to chemical tests and DNA screening. The result is an extremely high quality piece of equipment that is many times superior to its natural counterpart. These are difficult to come across on the street.
• S-Grade 25,000 - Artfully made, and one of a kind, S-Grade technology is always custom built for each user as part of the surgical process, and is constructed of the highest grade metals, plastics and ceramics. Electronics are wired as the implant is put into the body to ensure perfect compatibility. Surgeons implanting S-Grade tech must be trained in both microelectronics and medicine. Very few, if any street surgeons have access to this kind of technology.

Firearms, melee weapons, and other instruments of death. These are typically the most common tools in the Ronin's line of work. It is also noted that owning any automatic firearm or two-handed rifle without a permit is illegal- not that that ever stopped anyone.

• Ballistic/Laser Weapons: These weapons are relatively similar in terms of costs and legality and as a result go in the same category.
  
  • C-Grade 250Cr - Low grade firearms and laser weapons, these are commonplace in the underworld- almost everyone in the underworld owns at least 1 C-Grade handgun. These low quality- typically low caliber weapons are cheap and plentiful but are often loud and obvious. Luckily they are generally sturdy and easy to replace.
  • B-Grade 1,000Cr - Midline firearms and laser weapons typically used by Corp-sec and military personnel, these high grade weapons are sufficient for military applications, and are typically more sophisticated and advanced than C-Grade weapons. These weapons often offer more power and accuracy, but can be slightly more difficult to maintain.
  • A-Grade 5,000Cr - Top of the line mil-spec equipment, this high-end gear is among the most advanced in Neo-Japan, with sophisticated recoil adjustment systems and smart-aim links. These weapons offer advanced power and accuracy, but are difficult to obtain and maintain.
  • Built-In 2,500Cr - Requires Cyberlimb A firearm built into a cyberlimb- typically an arm. Built in weapons are typically lower caliber firearms with generally small magazine sizes and are typically used as backup/hidden weapons as opposed to primary armaments.
  • E-Nade 250Cr - Explosive Neutralizing Anti-Personnel DEvice. A small cylinder packed with explosives, capable of causing injury or incapacitation to individuals within a 10 yard radius.
• Plasma Weapons 10,000 - High powered kinetic plasma weapons, these highly illegal firearms cause an immense amount of damage with a reasonable amount of accuracy as well. It is difficult to maintain, and ammunition is expensive, but the result is a highly lethal weapons platform.
• Melee Weapons Sometimes Ronin prefer a more... personal touch when it comes to dealing death.
  
  • Standard 250Cr - solid slabs of metal or alloy. These weapons do what they're intended to do: stab, bludgeon, and generally cause discomfort upon one's target. They're cheap, effective, and easy to come across.
  • Hybrid 1,500Cr - Weapons often enhanced with an energy blade to provide increased cutting power. Not as cheap, and more specific in purpose when compared to plain melee weapons, but work well.
  • Energy 5,000 - Expensive weapons with blades of pure plasmatic energy. These hard to come by weapons are slightly unstable, but are very lightweight and easy to handle, and are typically easy to conceal.
  • Built-In 2,500Cr - Requires Cyberlimb A standard or hybrid weapon built into a cyberlimb. These hidden weapons provide an advantage in that they can be hidden on a person's body.
  • Stun-Knuckles 250Cr - Requires Cyberarm By placing armored shock pads on a cyberlimb's knuckles, a user can apply debilitating taser shocks to his or her melee strikes.

Psychological Analysis: Impassive and calm, Eric Takashi is a reserved individual. Relatively relaxed, Eric is typically seen as an easygoing individual who takes things at his own pace. His relaxed composure leaves him slightly less professional than others, but his calm and collected personality makes up for this. Intuitive and highly perceptive, Eric is often acutely aware of his surroundings and can easily gauge others. Clever, and quick on the ball, Eric is able to make snap judgements in on a moments notice. A bit of a sadist, Eric darkly enjoys teasing and terrorizing his targets, asserting his victory and position over them when he is able, "Playing with his food", as others call it. Employment Record: Born and raised on the streets of the downtown Tokyo District, Eric has been on his own for as long as he can remember. Not that he particularly cares either. Eric spent most of his early childhood as a street rat, hiding from the light and people in general, IDENTless and vulnerable.

Around the age of 8, Eric was found by a former Ronin turned safehouse owner. Taken under the older Ronin's wing, Eric learned the basics of general education, reading, writing and the like before he was taught how to survive in the underground of Tokyo. Under the wing of a mentor, Eric learned quickly, learning how to shoot and break locks, and other arts of subterfuge and survival. Under his mentor's tutelage, Eric also learned the importance of intuition and making decisions on the fly to stay alive.

Soon enough, Eric found himself at the right age to strike off on his own and to make his own way into the depths of Neo-Japan. Using his surrogate father/mentor's already extensive list of connections, Eric was able to find himself a Fixer and managed to hook himself up with a small team. Working slowly and making his way up, Eric soon found himself steady work as a Ronin, set with its riches and setbacks.

A longtime member of his current team, Eric has been with the team for a little more than 2 years now, and is a versatile Ronin capable of a variety of tasks.

• Grade-B Cybernetic Eyes 5,000 - High grade cyber-eyes with opticam, retinal clock, low-light vision, and up to 10x magnification. All information gathered by the cybernetic eyes can be accessed via storage chip in a slot behind the left ear.
• Grade-A Left and Right Cyberarms 20,000 - High grade custom cyberarms specially fitted to Eric's body. These high quality cyberarms grant Eric considerable dexterity and strength. The nature of their neural link to Eric's body also allows them to react and move considerably quicker than regular arms.
• Grade-B Dermal Armor 5,000 - Military grade subdermal protection that weaves Kevlar and ceramic plates under the skin, interspersed with pockets of ballistic gel that provides protection against small arms fire.

Carrying an above average intelligence, Seo is capable of thinking on her feet. She is an outgoing personality, and relies on her social skills for information gathering. Clever as she may be, she is quick to anger and has a penchant for spontaneity if disinterested. Due to this, her values are murky, and will more-than-likely try anything for the thrill of it.

Employment Record:
Raised within the safe walls of various military bases, Seo has no knowledge of what an authentic childhood entails. As the only child to a high-ranking officer, she lived well enough to have her own bedroom regardless of where the Rhee family was stationed. In terms of her schooling, the girl kept up a lackluster performance, preferring to play with her peers rather than focus on a future. No matter the tutors, she held no sense of purpose, and was therefore expected to become a soldier's wife. Dissatisfied, she'd decided to educate herself with what she assumed to be worldly virtues. Whenever possible, Seo would escape with friends as she grew older, leaving safety zones to explore the several cultures untouched by foreign hands.

Due to her adolescent anarchy, she grew to vehemently reject consumerism as a way of life. Seo praised forbidden ideas, and lauded the names of various free-thinkers. Miraculously accepted into a Japanese university, she gained a sense of purpose by meeting those who equally shared her beliefs. Young and idealistic, small student unions were formed in opposition to the megacorps. And, to the horror of her parents, she dropped out before sophomore year.

Despite dropping out, she quickly grew to obtain a leadership role, standing unshaken against the various rumors of missing people and suspicious suicides. Though Seo had found a cause to believe in, her dreams fell as swiftly as they began. When the police visibly pushed back, most students gave up on their cause and returned to education, but not before Seo had been injured in the ripples of revolution. Shot in the back, she had become unable to move from the waist down.

Left with a year's worth of college tuition, she replaced her legs altogether to C-Grade prosthetics. Though they were clunky in comparison to the finesse of true nerves, Seo was capable of walking once more. She was angry at her situation, and had decided that becoming wealthy was her best bet at challenging her overlords. Joining the criminal underworld, the woman used her conversational skills for petty information brokering to fund the process of advancing herself. Seo saved most credits to replace whatever body parts she owned and threw the rest into learning hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship as well.

After deciding to become a Ronin, she poured the rest of her savings into A-Grade legs and worked alone for stealth-based missions, severely improving her fighting style in the process. She joined her current team only a year ago, and figures that working as a group will allow her to accept jobs with higher rewards. Her goals are not unlike many in the field as Seo continues in search for wealth, mercenary work being the most profitable. In terms of assignments, she has become a relatively good close-range fighter, and relies on her upgrades for critical hits and quick escapes. Based on her previous profession, she is best as a spy or infiltrator.

(Grade-A Cybernetic Legs 20000CR)- Seamlessly going all the way to her hips, these implants also have the ability to create a faster sprint, lighter step, and higher jump. Mostly, they were built to appear as normal as possible.

Psychological Analysis: At his best, Hiro's abrasive and blunt, a master of clinical explanations and logical, if unfeeling, analyses. However, at his worst, Hiro amplifies his considerable intelligence and sizable paranoia to morph into a puddle of anxious, crackling electricity; due to his line of work, anxiety remains at a constant high, which means Hiro usually falls into the latter category of his core personality. He's prone to panic attacks and fits of rage, and he's always on guard. To him, everyone is an enemy with ulterior motives, which completely depletes his ability to trust anyone on an emotional level. As a matter of fact, Hiro trusts no one but himself, though he's gotten better at hiding his apathy for most other lives. He holds natural sway over people due to the pervasive aura of self-confidence (however false it may be) he emits, but for obvious reasons, Hiro prefers to work alone. He is, however, willing to override his introversion in order to go down the most lucrative path, whether that means safety or whatever little power not controlled by mega-corporations. Hiro is also extremely cautious and secretive, but his paranoia prompts him to learn as much as possible about anyone he interacts with; he tends to weave conversations away from himself and compulsively lie about his background in order to protect himself.

Employment Record: Hiro had been born conventional. His parents made a living as glorified wage-slaves, eking out a sub-par income by serving one of the Tokyo District's top manufacturers of standardized cybernetic enhancements, which in turn was controlled by Neo-Japan's largest mega-corporation. Like the majority of the population, Hiro spent his formative years crammed into a shoebox apartment; his mother taught him how to write when he was four, and whatever scraps of paper he could find as a child were filled with complaints of "it smells" and "the sink leaks" and "there are rats under the floorboards". Even as a child, he displayed symptoms of anxiety, jittery pale hands twitching and thin legs shaking incessantly to an internal beat as soon as he opened his eyes in the morning. He woke up early, dreams of rats crawling across his chest startling him awake (one day, he woke up early enough to realize that those rats were not, in fact, just nightmares). Despite the poor living conditions, Hiro led a completely normal childhood. He went to school and learned about the benefits of consumerism and coloring within the sharply-drawn lines, but despite the traditions and rules heavily enforced by all sectors of society, Hiro was plagued with purposelessness.

By the time he turned eighteen, Hiro had established himself as a fantastic, if somewhat distracted, student and a generally productive member of society. Upon graduation from school, several corporations had expressed interest in him; he had the potential to become an biomechanical engineer, designing the same cyber-bodies his parents assembled for 10 hours a day, or a doctor, or even a politician. Instead, he turned to chem dealing with low-level hacking on the side. Hiro had always been very logical and analytical, able to sit down and solve a complicated problem, but rather than using those particular skills in more conventional pursuits, he assumed that the black market would make him far more money (and therefore grant him far more happiness) than spending his life rotting away for whatever mega-corp hired him. So one day he woke up, kissed his parents on the cheeks, and packed ship in favor of the underground.

The first year was a struggle to survive, but eventually Hiro developed a more potent formula for a powerful street chem and immediately began to rake in credits. His presence as a drug slinger eventually grabbed the attention of a group of Ronin who recruited him to their team as a makeshift tech guru and assassin's apprentice. Hiro, though physically fit and relatively strong, proved far better at trapping victims than manhandling them; his skills leaned towards distraction, chem-use, and stealth rather than pure punching power, and generally speaking he preferred speedy captures and swift slits of the throat to pools of blood and dozen-body massacres. Hiro stayed with the team he was initially recruited into for several years before a more lucrative opportunity split the group apart; alone and unwilling to go back to selling chems as a full-time occupation, he joined his second and current team, which he has been a part of for two years.

Enhancement:

• A-Grade Cyber Ears 10,000Cr - Hiro's inner ears are completely replaced with cybertech which greatly enhance his hearing. Specifically, Hiro is able to hear sounds far above and beyond the decibel ranges typically audible to humans from a distance of up to 1,000 yards. His ears also sense electrical coronas and magnetic signals; in order to control their volume and sensitivity, Hiro had a switch installed on the back of each of his ears. When particularly annoyed, Hiro can effectively put the world on mute.

Equipment:

• Combat Grade Armor 5,000Cr - Hiro sports fairly lightweight camouflage armor which covers his entire body, even his head. Though it makes him a bit clunkier than he finds comfortable, Hiro is still able to move around decently while being much more heavily protected than he is while wearing his preferred stealth coat.

• Stealth Coat 5,000Cr - Even when not on a mission, Hiro tends to wear this extremely long black coat, which covers his shoulders down to his ankles. Surprisingly, despite its length, walking is easy due to the lightweight nano-fabric.
• A-Grade Assault Rifle 5,000Cr - When not using his energy daggers, which are his primary weapons of choice, Hiro shoots an impressively high-quality assault rifle. Hiro's rifle has smart-aim, recoil adjustment, 40x magnification, and a long barrel and magazine which fits 50 rounds easily. Though the rifle comes with an extremely advanced silencer, it is not exactly a stealth weapon and Hiro only uses it in direct combat.
• B-Grade Semi-Automatic Pistol 1,000Cr - As a secondary firearm, Hiro carries a durable pistol. Its light weight and small size make it less accurate, but it remains powerful especially in close-range combat. The pistol also comes with a powerful silencer and is easy to conceal.
• E-Nade x2 250Cr
• Energy Dagger x2 5,000Cr - Typically hidden by his stealth cloak or neatly sheathed in a specially-made compartment in his combat armor are two energy daggers. These are far more lightweight and therefore easier to maneuver than their metal counterparts but are just as, if not more, deadly. Because Hiro wields a dagger in each hand, he is able to stab quickly and efficiently from both directions.
• Jetmatic Personal Transport Unit 10,000Cr - This device straps onto Hiro's back with sturdy magnetic clasps. It weighs about ten pounds and is relatively small, about the size of a schoolchild's backpack. When switched on (a button is situated inconspiciously on his left shoulder pad), the Jetmatic propels Hiro up into the air either vertically or horizontally, allowing him to traverse the roads and skylines of Neo-Japan without much effort. Hiro can control the trajectory of this by angling his body in whichever direction he wishes; to shut it off, Hiro simply has to press the same button again. A similar button on his right shoulder pad unleashes a firm grappling hook for easier landing. For short distances, the Jetmatic also contains a jump-pack and shock absorbers for longer, more dangerous jumps.
• High Quality Forged IDENT Card 2,500Cr - Hiro's IDENT card is so well-made that only a trained specialist would be able to tell it apart from a real one.
• Hacking set (Trade Tools) 1,000Cr - Because Hiro specializes mainly in hacking and stealth, these tools are composed of materials used to supplement his hacking ability. Mainly, this kit contains high-quality technology in which versatile programming templates have been encoded for quick use and tweaking.

Enhancement:

• 25,000 CR - S-Grade Bio Enhancement - H-Processor - Normally reserved for top-of-the-line bodyguards or special ops, the H-processor operation represents the ultimatum of weaponizing any human's hardware (the brain) by making various enhancements to the gray matter, such as redesigning the synapses for adapting faster changes to any neurological pattern as well as therapy for the brain to be inclined to using certain parts more often for higher returns. As the process changes the brain itself, there are no risks when it comes to factoring in any outside electronic interferences, such as EMPs or attempts at hacking. By practical means, this allows Lance to increase his processing time by six times for 30 seconds, essentially slowing things down for him by sixfold to think, analyze, and adjust. While constant usage over the span of 30 real-time seconds (with a recharge time of 45 real-time minutes to fully recover; 30 is baseline and may pose risks if used often) may be painful for his brain, he is unable to be affected by sources many other implants fail to have any protection against with the same sophistication.
• 10,000 CR - A-Grade Implant - Con(tact)Point Spine-Replacement - A popular modification for people of affluent wealth and power who still want to compete at levels similar to cyber-athletes, the ConPoint Spine allows brain messages to be sent at about 4 times their normal speed using spare amounts of alternating superconductor cells sitting through the bloodstream, so as to avoid overheating. Though nothing more than a jacked-up peripheral nervous system with a tough-as-lead shell made of spider-silk and carbon fibers, its expensive components make the implant an incredibly expensive choice. In the presence of powerful electromagnetic disturbances, the users will often experience very slight nausea.

Equipment:

• 250 CR - C-Grade Pistol - 9mm G17 (Black) - Based off of the old Glock design, the G17 remake is a popular, rugged firearm that pales in comparison to about every other military-grade firearm today because of its lack of range and manual modifications (as opposed to augmenting the sights or bullets to achieve a 95%+ percent accuracy), but nevertheless will still seriously injure, if not outright kill, anyone within point-blank range. And still, only a select few could ever dream of having an implant that could actually dodge a bullet as it's fired.
• 250 CR - Civilian-Grade Sweater (Black) - A cotton-weave sweater laced with kevlar threads. Quality's a bit iffy, if not very, but at least surgery isn't a must anymore if he's ever hit.
• 5000 CR - Stealth Coat (Grey) (2-in-1) - A stealth-coat worked onto the outer surface of an Armored Coat. Twice as heavy total, but it still functions quite well.
• 2000 CR - Armored Coat (Grey) (2-in-1) - An armored coat worked onto the inner surface of a Stealth Coat. Made of parts of spider-silk and kevlar that allow it to flutter like a normal coat, but it's still twice as heavy as most other coats. It also cannot use any plating slots without compromising the integrity of the Stealth Coat.
• 2500 CR - IDENT Card (High-end Variant) - Reads as "Mr. Thomas Chang", a small-time investor of about the same age, height, and gender.

Psychological Analysis:
An imposing, solitary man, Max's psych has been hit hard by long years of work as a Ronin. An intense anger is inside of him from the incident which took the lower part of his face and forced him to replace it with cybernetics. He has a natural dislike for augmentations, finding anyone that replaces their body parts with machinery hardly worthy of respect. Since there are so many augmented people around him, he does not often speak this view unless in a heated confrontation. Max is not trusting of others and prefers to work alone. When forced to work with others he keeps his distance from them, watching with a careful eye for signs of treachery, something he has experienced all too often in the past. His temper is legendary, those that enrage him tend not to do it again.

He finds real enjoyment in killing, but only those that fight back. The thrill of being in intense danger, ending lives left and right, it fills him with adrenaline and helps to put aside some of the internal rage. He dislikes harming innocents finding no fun in cutting down those that can't (try to) harm him. He tries to avoid it unless they get in his way and there is no way around it. Max has a reputation for his brutality and near insanity on the battlefield, bounding towards enemies with his shotgun raised, crushing bones with full body tackles, even removing limbs with an animalistic grace. He doesn't really care about credits, he simply wishes to exact revenge on those that betrayed and mutilated him, enough work as a Ronin will get him to them.

Employment Record:
Max was born in the United States, it is where he lived the first 18 years of his life before he enlisted in the Marines. An average student in school, he never intended to go any further than high school and enlisted right after graduation. He was stationed overseas in Japan, as part of the military police. A natural talent with firearms, much of his time was spent investigating the criminal gangs in the area. After four years of service he was given an honorable discharge, he decided to stay in Japan after he met a girl there.

Unfortunately for him, it was difficult finding a job in Neo-Japan. The young Max was offered a job by a friend of his girlfriend, when he asked the details he was told the job wasn't "totally legal". It was not, Max had gotten himself involved with gun running. While not one hundred percent morally behind the job, it was money, good money at that, and the chances of being arrested for it were very low. It was simple at first, taking a weapon from one location to another, sometimes to a private buyer, other times larger shipments to groups.

After a breakup with his girlfriend he moved on from dealing weapons, getting himself a job in security with one of the many mega corporations. He did his job admirably, making friends within the mega corporation. This is also where he met Kudo Iwao, who would become one of his closest friends. Kudo helped push Max down the path to become a Ronin, as he too wanted to be one, Max and him would be a killer team was what he always said. After a few years, both men left their jobs together, bundling their credits in order to become Ronins.

The two were quite the duo, taking any jobs they could get, both loved the work, no matter what it was, assassinations, assaults, it was all great fun to Max especially. Then Max met another Ronin, Endo Rai, more of a veteran compared to the two young elite criminals. He saw potential in them, and the duo turned into a trio. They all made a name for themselves, credits piled up, life was great. Endo and Kudo were his two best friends, he could trust them with anything. Unfortunately that changed.

It was just another routine job, though extremely high paying and high risk, the credits for all three men numbered in six digits each. The capture of a notorious crime lord who had gotten on the wrong side of a very powerful mega-corporation. The three Ronin were unfazed by the job, it involved breaking into a highly guarded building loaded with dangerous gangsters.

They executed it perfectly, Max and Kudo entering from opposite sides, guns blazing, while Endo took the quieter approach, entering from the roof. The three converged on the target, dozens of corpses left the in their path to him. Then the betrayal occurred, the blunt end of a rifle to Max's temple as they exited the building, Endo and Kudo looking down at him with smiles, him returning their looks with one of confusion. They explained their action, the corporation paying Endo and Kudo had offered a very enticing bonus if Max was taken care of, him too much of a reckless liability.

Neither could bring themselves to put a bullet in their friend, killing him like a dog. Endo tipped over a barrel of gasoline, the liquid covering Max's jaw and frontal neck, a cigarette was tossed into it, igniting it. Max screamed in pain as his skin burned, his only saving grace being a passerby who helped him by dragging him to a doctor. He barely escaped with his life, though much of his neck, jaw and mouth were badly damaged by the flames. Cybernetics were immediately put in.

Once he was able to walk he went back to being a Ronin, almost solely going by the alias of Grizzly. It has been nearly six years since then. His personality having changed for the worse since the betrayal, now filled with brimming amounts of rage. His only real goal now to find the two men that betrayed him so that he can exact his revenge. He has been a part of his current Ronin team for three months. The promise of good payment and more importantly, possible answers for where to find the two that stabbed him in the back.

Enhancement:

• C-Grade Cybernetic Jaw and Mouth (5,000 CR) - A full metallic jawline which covers his lower face. His mouth has been replaced with machinery as well, metallic teeth inside and a total reconstruction allowing him all the functions of a natural mouth. Most notably has an increased bite force.
• C-Grade Neck (2,500 CR) - A near total replacement of his neck, includes the innards lost during his betrayal, such as a larynx, thyroid gland and a trachea.

Equipment:

• Elite Grade armor (20,000 CR) - His personal suit of armor, very high quality and can withstand a beating. Used in combination with his shotgun, Max is a force to be reckoned with at close range. A full scale HUD is contained within the helmet which displays his vitals, different types of vision (heat, night and normal) and a friend/foe indicator.
• A-Grade Semi Automatic Shotgun (5,000 CR) - His most prized possession, an extremely powerful ballistic shotgun, tears through flesh and light armor at a close range. Specifically made with a recoil adjustment system, it doesn't have a ton of range but can put a hole in what is in range. 20 rounds per magazine.
• B-Grade Assault Rifle (1,000 CR) - A fully automatic, accurate at short to medium distances ballistic weapon. Equipped with a 4x magnification scope, 25 rounds per magazine.
• Hybrid Short Sword (1500 CR) - A sharp, energized sword, the blade is 24 inches in length. Similar in appearance to a Roman Gladius, but modernized.
• Jetmatic Personal Transport Unit (10,000 CR) - Uses it in combat, allows him to jump around the battlefield and attack enemies from different angles.
• PharmaCon Medical Gel x2 (500 CR) - Just in case he gets careless.
