Adalaide grabbed her tablet to bring with her as she started to cross the ship. She knew Elyse shouldn't have to handle this on her own, so she decided to go help since she could be of much more use on the flight deck. When Ray decides to go into warp, Tango will initiate it, so Adalaide decided to see who their mystery guest was. She had the security feed of that particular air lock up on her tablet, as she hurried through the ship in order to get to Elyse before something bad happened.

She managed to make it to the airlock in a good speed.
"Elyse, enough. Tango, start recording this and enact protocol 453." Surprisingly enough, there were protocols for when you're interrogating an unknown subject in a quarantine. This ship just didn't have them, though it was a nice threat. Protocol 453 was to start warming up Addy's room because when she wasn't in there, it dropped to freezing it seemed like.
"If you say anything that could be even confused with hostility you will be ejected back into space and as we're set to warp soon, that won't be very pleasant for you cher. Now, if you could please state your full name for the record, it would be ever so helpful. My papa always told me never to let someone into my home without at least knowing their last name." Adalaide said as she watched him through the glass.

Although there was a sense of tension and chaos, the Marauders were like a high operating machine. Everyone had their part to play, everyone was important to this crew, without one, the rest of them would fall...When his suit was fully off he made his way towards a console in the main deck that showed the status of the Monroe. His head throbbed from the little show out in the debris fields, and the scene he saw was still fresh in his mind. It had been a while since he's seen his mother in his head like that. It was a strange feeling, and an even stranger when when he came to and Rae was staring at him with worry. She always had a calmness to her, especially during injuries... But then again Raymond was never unconscious, floating aimlessly in space before. He was grateful she was there.

Addy entertained a highly stressed crew with her response to Raymond's sit rep, which made a faint smile spread on Ray's lips. "Glad to see your dream of becoming a radio talk show host hasn't died, Addy. And Thank you Tango for censoring her colorful language." Raymond replied, examining the screen. Meghan was doing a good job of protecting the ship from enemies. The explosion did minor damage to the ship, and from the looks of it Elyse found the mystery man and held him in an airlock.

Addy was on her way to help Elyse. "Monroe be advised we have an unknown target onboard the ship. The medic bay is the safest location, so if anything were to go wrong, lock yourself in there." Raymond played the message to everyone's personal comm system so the mystery man couldn't hear. You could never be too careful.

"One minute and twenty seconds until warp, Captain." Tango said calmly. Raymond left the console and looked out the large glass window and into the cosmos. Debris was everywhere, and from what he remembered the ship looking like, it was their biggest they've seen. Was it their commanding officer's vessel?

"Captain, the enemy seemed to have ceased fire." Tango said. Raymond raised an eyebrow. "They haven't stopped shooting at us ever since they've been tracking us..." Raymond murmured, looking at the scene before them. "Meghan hold your fire but don't put your guard down. something's not right--"

"Incoming message."

"Incoming message? From who?" Raymond walked to Tango's physical form in front of the ship controls. The message started to play, and it was nothing but squeaks and snarls, which made Raymond tilt his head. "I don't suppose you know how to speak naked mole rat?" Raymond asked the robot casually. "You mean Sekvali? They are saying that you have killed their commander, and are now not holding back on attacks. They say they will leave us alone if we turn in the human responsible for exploding his ship." Raymond leaned on the table and Tango's chair, tapping his finger lightly.

"How much longer until we can get the hell out of here?" Raymond asked calmly, glancing back and forth between the controls and the enemy ships. "Forty five more seconds... Uh oh."

"What? What's 'uh oh'?" Raymond demanded.

"Heat signatures are picking up their main cannons. All five ships aiming at the hull!"

"Shit. Meghan get ready! Tango move the stabilization fields towards the med bay and airlock four where Addy and Elyse are!" Raymond tapped his ear, climbing into the Captain's seat. He was now taking control of the Monroe. "Monroe I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that their commanding officer blew up on that ship earlier. Bad news is is that the remaining enemy ships are giving us everything we've got. I'll keep us safe, but it'll be a bumpy ride. The stabilizers will keep the doctors from moving around." Raymond said through the ship intercom.

"Incoming fire!" Tango yelled. Raymond pressed buttons, and in that instant the Monroe's engines sprang into full power, moving sharply to the right, barely missing missiles from the enemy ships. "Alright, you wanna dance? Lets dance." Ray muttered to himself, pushing the throttle forward, activating the defense guns. With these and Meghan's shooting skills, they could absolutely survive the worst they throw at the Monroe for thirty more seconds.

”Sure whatever you want cupcake. Although I can assure you that I'm not infected. I'm also completely made out of metal." Pip said, then continued to remove his arm, to Elyse’s disgust. She grimaced lightly, but frowned when he called her sweetcheeks.

Elyse was about to flip, but thankfully Addy showed up to save her. "Elyse, enough. Tango, start recording this and enact protocol 453." Addy said. Elyse watched Pip as Addy spoke to him, wondering if Pip picked up on the Protocol and would calm down. Otherwise, she was sure they would either leave him in there or eject him. "You better listen to her," she said. "She isn't one to bluff."

Reena had already finished setting up the first half of the venom antidote when Rae barged into the infirmary holding the nearly-dead Shasōōn over her shoulder like a sack of dirt. She turned around to extract some bonded venom for the full antidote only for Rae to hand Tymea the poison glands and fangs of a newly deceased mole rat, who managed to create her own antidote and hand it back to the doctor, ready to use. All without so much of a glance in the Sorlas' direction.

To say that Reena was livid was an understatement. The backhanded comment from the navigator was bad enough, but the ignorance from the doctor and the self-titled science officer was by far the worst. She barely even processed the crinkle of broken glass as her fist clenched around an empty vial like a vice. Luckily for everyone involved, the situation was too dire for Neera to consider voicing her opinions about them right now. She would never admit it, but she had a soft spot for that crazy Ju'yavāl bastard clinging to life right now, and she'd sooner throw herself out the airlock then risk his life by introducing either of them to the proverbial "Sorlas handshake".

Still fuming, Neera roughly set down what was left of the vial on the nearby cabinet and stormed out of the infirmary, resisting the urge to take her anger out on the wall nearby. The door to the medical bay barely slid shut behind her when the familiar voice of the captain buzzed over the intercom once again.

"Monroe be advised we have an unknown target onboard the ship. The medic bay is the safest location, so if anything were to go wrong, lock yourself in there."

Vaas, she almost forgot about the lunatic trying to board the ship. Last she heard the strange newcomer had been trapped in the airlock, but if Raymond was warning the crew to lock themselves in the medic bay if things went South, the airlock wasn't entirely foolproof. Suddenly aware of the weight of the automatic strapped to her side, she turned on her heel and made a beeline for the airlock where Elyse was confronting the newcomer. She trusted that she would be able to handle anything that the psycho threw at her, but if worse came to worse, Neera was ready to take out her anger on a hostile target.

"I'm heading down to the airlock," she warned the crew over the communicators. "And if necessary, I'm armed.

With what was going on around him, Tahillie was in a daze after he tried to get up again. The virus really done him good. Lack of sleep, jumping into cyberspace, and the hole attack, everything was going slow with him as he fell back into his seat.

"What the hell? Bad... really bad side affect..." He slurred as he tried to stand up again only to topple over. "what was in that virus?"

Trying to get back into his chair, he clawed at the seating as he fell back onto the floor while panting. The vision of everyone going by him in a blur, things were not making sense as he sat on the floor. The sweet sensation of sleep was getting close as he closed his eyes as he succumbed to sleep right there.

Pip was starting to get annoyed. He had basically blew up there enemy. and yet he was treated like one ! and now someone was asking for his last name ? This day got better and better by the minuet. he could however not tell his real last name. Because the Bernadotte's where pretty well known. " well if you must know my last name is Dubois. I was born in France, i love long walks on the beach and i listen to classical music are you happy now?" He said his voice growing in anger. If this would keep up he would slice through the airlock. kill both o them then kill the rest that was one this ship. try to then steer it out of here even though he no idea how. And get home get paid and sadly not get laid." "You better listen to her,She isn't one to bluff." Pip looked at his angry face hidden behind his mask." She can try but i don't think that i would move an inch. But lets not tempt fate shall we?" With that said he started to activate his magnets which locked him against the hull. If she was gonna try to space him out she would find a bad surprise waiting for her.

Addy laughed when he told her his last name was Dubois. It was basically the French version of Smith.
"Do you eat crepes for breakfast on the Seine as well? Cut the crap, seriously. What did you expect? That we'd welcome you with open arms? I think you should know by now that's not how the world works." Addy said, as she started tapping on her tablet.
"Tango, is it possible to electrocute the walls of this airlock only? And would it be enough to disrupt any magnetic field occurring between Pip and the wall?" Addy asked Tango and waited for the answer from the AI.

"It would be." Tango states and Addy nodded.

"Did you hear that Pip? Maybe I would reconsider your plan of action?" Addy offered him.

"Really, I just have a few questions. The first being why were you on the rats ship?" Addy asked him, as she messed around with stuff on her tablet, trying to make sure everything was all set.

The first thought that came up in Pip's mind. Was to cut open the airlock cut the head of that annoying bitch. And then rip out her spine and use it as room decor ! But since she could fry him like a shrimp he choose the latter option of complying. Against his will mind you !" Well the reason why i had thought that you would let me in with open arms was because i had blown up your problem." He then points behind him at the wreck of the old ship." But you wanted to know what i was doing on that piece of junk in the first place. Well i was hired by the son of the commander to kill him. So that he could become commander himself. I'm actually surprised they haven't turned on each other yet."

"Tymea, though I appreciate your quickness of pace perhaps it would be more appropriate if you double check application and reaction with Reena on the antidote. She may have better ideas than myself and maybe an alternative solution if things were to go amiss. My main directive should be to the care..." Rae started to state before Reena stormed out in what could only be described as a fit of rage or that was the only thing she could assume with the movements and broken glass left behind. It seems that she had been incorrect that people already at work would not want to be interrupted and that two people on the same project would yield more possibilities but than again she believed the two would work together since bodily care of their crewmate was a better use of her time than also playing scientist. Sharing seemed a simple and logical conclusion or communication but in any case she was now down another helpful hand.

She wanted to hurt someone or break something, more than she had in a long while as the stress built up. How was it that a complete stranger was suddenly more important than one of their own. Luirae was about ready to stomp down there and see how many people it took to deal with one person. Really, how many of them would stare at whatever this creature was like a fish in a tank? The thought of the medical bay becoming the safety zone didn't really put a spring in her step either. If she wasn't worried about karma she would have said the dreaded words 'This day can't possibly get any worse' but for now she would hold back and deal with what had been handed to her. She didn't have her other scientist so she had to step up to the plate with no other choices. This intruder just made an extra grate on her nerves since the added attention would be served better elsewhere but she was sure the intruder might feel the same why. Committee protocol could be...tedious with all its questions and evaluations of new passengers.

"Apparently, that option is no longer valid." Rae said before heading over to the cabinets, opening up and picking up a breaker as she look for the fresh needles. She paused for a moment, staring at the breaker and turning it slowly back an forth as if examining it but in truth her mind wasn't on that kind of peaceful thoughts. She wondered on how it would feel to just chuck this fragile little thing at the door just to watch it shatter or maybe even...her hand tightened hard on the glass but then decided to stop and placed it on another shelf out of her way. It would not do to have a mess of glass everywhere and if the others did seek refuge here than them finding or stepping on glass could be dangerous. She reached up and grabbed one or two needles before heading over to the counter to place them down and turned back to her patient. Her view shifted, all going dark except for the only other two beings in the room but her eyes didn't move from the figure on the bed. She looked to four inches beneath his shoulder, her eyes looking to the few chambered hearts that were slow and still struggling to keep everything flowing. Good, he hadn't lost one of them yet and maybe with the warmth they would start to beat properly but for now it needed to be monitored.

"Tymea, please hook up Shasōōn to a heart monitor. I want to make sure no drastic measure needs to be taken. I will...feel much more at ease if I can continue to hear the beating if I am to take my attention away." Rae ordered at first before her words became a bit more uneasy. Her eyesight returned to normal as she moved to the counter, taking one of the needles and opening it up before going to the infected area and carefully slipping the needle into the skin before extracting some of the tainted blood. Luirae took the small glass slide before placing some of the blood onto it and then taking a dropper, dipping it into the antidote and sucking a bit up. Returning to the slide, she placed a drop on top of the blood before placing the second slide over the top and placing it under the micro scope. She watched carefully, the antidote doing its work but it wasn't just doing that but taking the energy and nutrients of the blood. If he was awake, she could counter act that with some of her own energy but she wasn't sure how to give him that while unconscious.

"It seems it is working too well. It isn't just attacking and neutralizing the poison but hurting the flow of energy his body needs that it uses as a transport through the blood by attacking something in the blood itself. I will have to find a way to counteract that or you will because Reena is not here. If Shasōōn was even slightly conscious and could possibly focus enough to take the energy in my body, it would counteract the temporary loss of his own energy unless the antidote stopped my flow of energy too. Hmmm, though my antidote wouldn't work for everyone...it does work for my blood. If it can defend against the poison than maybe it would be enough to defend against the antidote during a transfer so it wouldn't be able to stop the energy." Luirae said, more going on a personal rant to herself as she got back to work, taking some of her own blood from the crystalline part of her body and placing it on a new slide before taking the antidote she had made from her pouch and adding it in. She took some time for the serum to mix in with her blood before carefully taking some of the poison from the gland and dropping it onto the slide. Once she believed the poison to be mixed enough in, she added in Tymea's antidote before closing another slide over the top. She took out the other slide, putting in the new one and watching closely. She wasn't watching the poison this time but at what the antidote would attack in her blood. It didn't seem to be attacking anything that would be a problem but it wasn't a clear hundred percent either. Rae frowned and plopped down in one of her chairs, looking up to the ceiling with a sigh as she tried to figure out what to do. It was a risk but with nothing the other wouldn't get better. She could try her antidote with his blood but it probably would be unsuccessful or taint his sensitive blood further.

"This would be much easier if he was awake." Rae spoke softly before standing and walking over to the bed, placing a hand on the man's cheek. "Hang in there for all us. We will figure this out."

Elyse frowned lightly as she watched Pip speak. "How do we know that you're telling the truth?" She stepped towards the glass. "What if you were being held prisoner by the Space Rats and you just narrowly escaped the ship as it exploded?"

She looked over what parts of him she could see through the glass. "Take off your mask. Then perhaps we can begin to trust you. I've seen the face of every crewmember on this ship, and I don't think I can trust someone who always hides their face. Obviously they have something to hide." She crossed her arms, hoping it was gaining Addy a little time to get the plan in motion as Elyse distracted Pip.

Pip drew his blade at lighting speed like it was nothing. He then drew his guns at the same speed of the sword as he had done a million times before." does this look like some one who was a prisoner? No i don't think so they would have at least cut me arms and legs of to be safe.Which as you can clearly see did not happen." When she asked for him to remove his mask Pip froze. A lot of people had asked the same thing. And a lot of people had not lived long after uttering said question. But this situation was different. He simply put his head against the airlock and said with a voice so cold and emotionless it could send a shiver through your spine." You can shoot me, cut me, put me on fire, electrocute me. All of these things you can do. But if you think i will ever take of my mask you are very much mistaken."He then looked at the now three people. as one had entered the room.all three seemingly unfazed by him." Maybe You three have entirely realized but i could have killed you all this time. But instead of doing so i have been really trying not to snap. So i'm gonna give you my last deal. I will drop my weapons. You can put me in the brigg and you can kick me out at the next outpost you will dock at. I have put the ods in your favor so can you please for the love of space jesus trust me at least a little?"

Raymond was having a rather difficult time, although he was sure the rest of his crew mates were having a lot of stressful experiences. Rae and everyone with medical experience was helping heal Shasoon that has been injected with the deadliest poison known. Elyse and Addy were confronting the enemy and debating on whether or not to shoot him out of the airlock (Most of Raymond was tempted to not hear what he had to say and just shoot him back out into space. He has had some very bad experiences with stowaways. All of them thought they were big shit until they all met the same fate). But he couldn't do that, he would have to put faith in his crew members (which wasn't hard) and let them do their jobs. As for Raymond, he had to do his: and keep him and his ship safe!

"Incoming fire." Tango announced to Raymond, who was furiously working on the controls. There were many consoles around the main deck doing many things, but the master console had most functions on it. It was mainly used for the Captain and Tango. It had multiple screens, buttons, switches, and a throttle lever. At the sound of Tango, Raymond pulled back on the throttle, using his other hand to flip a couple switches, and then pressed the button. The ship spun rather quickly, making everyone on the main deck lean sideways due to the velocity, but the crew in the medic bay and near the airlock wouldn't notice.

Raymond would have to be checked for some sort of whiplash later, but he wasn't concerned now. "Firing main turrets." Raymond said, pressing a button, and the sound of distant gunfire aimed towards the enemy ships. One of the ships exploded in a cloud of red and white flames, but no one was cheering. "Captain, we didn't do that." Tango said.

"What? Did they friendly fire?"

"It appears so... I am also receiving radio chatter... It seems they are all accusing each other... The son of their leader is trying to take action, but the second highest in command is defying him. They are having a civil war within space."

"If they fire at each other, they pick themselves off, and we can get out of here with no issues. How much longer until hyperspace?" Ray asked, deactivating the firing commands and adding speed to the ship. "T minus five... four... three... two... We are greenlight for hyperdrive!"

Raymond looked at the base of the console to where a large yellow button was that was covered in glass. he flipped open the case. "Monroe we have a green light for hyper drive. We are jumping now while we have the chance. Brace for slip space!"

Raymond pressed the button, and.....!

Nothing. Nothing?

"Captain, there are no coordinates set for hyper drive." Tango said. "What? Where the hell is Tahillie?" Raymond yelled. "I would also look like to inform you that the Sekvali have launched up their primary weapons and are aiming right at us."

At that comment Raymond leapt out of his seat. "Forty seconds until their weapons fire."

Raymond was now in the search for one of his crew mates that he thought was here, but seemed to be MIA. He scanned the large room, trying to remember where Tahillie was before Ray jumped out into space... And he found him. The Marauder's hacker was sprawled on the floor, holding something. He didn't know how long he had been on the floor, but he wasn't sleeping on the job! They were all exhausted! and their lives depended on the Furtim's coordinates!

Raymond knelt down next to the unconscious male, tapping his scaly face hard, but not in an agressive way. "Junta! Wake up! The coordinates are down!" Raymond said, hearing Tango doing a countdown until the ships would attack.

"It's fine, it's fine!" Tymea chuckled as Reena stormed out. "It was pretty easy to do with a really fresh sample and that salty sailor seems to have stepped out. She wouldn't even need to raise her pretty little fingers." She really had no idea why the girl rushed out, though maybe it had something to do with whatever it was she was doing? A question for later but. . .

"Tymea, please hook up Shasōōn to a heart monitor. I want to make sure no drastic measure needs to be taken. I will...feel much more at ease if I can continue to hear the beating if I am to take my attention away." Rae said, seeming stressed. Tymea still wasn't sure of the different alien species much, but this girl screamed, "I'm not sure how to express myself!" Well, maybe. Still she was having issues that day, to be sure.

"Fine. . . Was bist du, meine Mutter?" Tymea muttered to herself as she attempted setting up the heart moniter. "Doesn't this guy have two hearts or something?" She complained, not sure if it was this species or another species that was set up that way. It was mostly human. . . Shape-wise at least. Maybe she could assume it was the same setup as a human? Didn't seem to stop it from working when she set it up. "Got it! Err. . . I think."

Then Rae mention stuff about the antidote not having the intended effect on the infected blood. "I'll be honest and say I know chemical compositions and human anatomy and make-up, but I'm not exactly from an integrated area. These alien bodies? Not my specialty, but I'm sure I can figure this out?" She questioned herself. It would be the extreme test of her genius! Or the death of a crewmate, signaling her failure. Can't let this be a failure, now can she? "Give me a bit to work with. I'm sure we got this, Luirae Driani. Well, most likely." Not very confidence boosting, but it was just how she was.

Still unconscious for a minute and a half, Tahillie growled at the sensation that someone was trying to wake him; opening his jowl to bite the the person. His eyes opened rather quickly, his vision was still blurred, but he recognized the blurry figure to be one the crew members. His jaw snapped harder on the hand, tasting an iron liquid in his mouth as he recognize as blood.

He let go as his vision came back to him, his feral yellow eyes stared at Raymond with little guilt as he tried to get up himself. He heard little what the captain was saying to him.

"What?" He slurred, almost forgetting what was happening.

It all came back in a flash as he stood up. He went back to his station as he tried to focus the task in front of him. "What.. what happened while I was out?" he asked as shook his head.

Raymond should have remembered a lot of things in life, but more specifically his team rosters. He should have remembered every detail about everyone's recruitment rosters when joining the Maruaders because he would have remembered that Tahillie was a Furtim. Furtims not only have scales and the ability to turn invisible, but also had very sharp teeth. And this certain Furtim had extremely sharp teeth and bit down on Raymond's finger.

Raymond pried his finger out of Tahillie's mouth, yelling very colorful words in numerous alien languages, shaking his hand violently. He was going to yell at the man, but he remembered just why he was waking his crew member up. "Long story short, their chief is dead, they're having a civil war in space, and now they joined forces to shoot the biggest guns at us. I need you to punch in those coordinates! NOW!" Raymond said, helping him up and then gently pushing him towards a console.

He jumped back to the Captain's seat, Tango counting down from fifteen was not the most comforting thing. But he trusted Tahillie in quickly punching the coordinates in. As soon as the man gave him the clear, Raymond would press the shit out of that yellow button! He was NOT going to lose to these uncoordinated aliens after three years of going through things a billion times worse! He wasn't going to kill the ones who actually volunteered to join this ship because they had faith in him. He wanted to see his sister again. There was too much at stake!!

"Don d'ennemi c'est malencontreux." Adalaide muttered the old proverb almost absentmindedly. It meant that you shouldn't trust gifts from your enemy and it was something her father used to say when dealing with all the flattering and backstabbing that existed in the political world. Adalaide's uncle had been in the Assemblée nationale for many years, although she believed he retired a few years ago. She didn't really keep up with that side of the family, especially since her father's money was used keep up their wealth and she was the reason it was stuck in a bank account untouched by anyone for the last 5 years.

"Stop Elyse," Addy said, a little sharply, when Elyse was saying for Pip to take his mask off," We don't need to see his face to trust him and we don't need to trust him to bring him to the brig. We just need to trust that Tango can initiate a lock down if things go south. And that Reena can shoot faster than he can draw."

"As soon as we're in Warp, we will bring you to the brig, until then we'll wait here. I still have more questions for you though. This just isn't the most appropriate venue." Adalaide informed Pip as she waited for the Warp to start. Except it didn't and she swore under her breath, going over to the nearest computer terminal. She pulled up her desktop and found the half finished coordinate set. She quickly finished typing that before she informed Ray.

"Sorry for the delay Cap, we should be all good to go." Adalaide informed him, still berating herself as she watched the feeds from around the ship.

Looking at his console again, he noted that the coordinates were punched in, almost missing the fact that Addy came in a few seconds later. He opened and closed his eyes again, trying to gain focus once more as he continuously stare at his station; damn that virus software. He reached for his head, out of habit as he basically threw himself into the chair. The hologram device in his hand was crushed as he cursed silently about the virus and other things.

"Its best to do it now." He told Raymond.

After listening to the countdown of the space rats fire, he waited as time slowed down for him again, but he dug his claws into the palm of his hand to stay awake, it was something that he had to do to stay awake.

Raymond could do nothing at this time except glare at the enemy ships. The Marauders faced many enemies and had many near death experiences. He didn't want this to be their last one. He could feel his heartbeat in his ears, his head throbbed with pain, and his nerves were on edge. The sound of Addy informing him that the coordinates were put made him glance back down at the control console. Tahillie's voice also giving him the okay, Raymond slammed his fist onto the button. The whole ship rumbled, then roared into life. The rims of the windows started to glow white. The entire ship felt as if it was being pulled backwards like a slingshot, and just when the Mole Rat ships launched their gigantic cannons, the Monroe lurched forward, entering Warp Drive.

When in Warp Drive, the view looking out of the ship was an interesting one if you've never seen it. You move so fast through space, that the Doppler Effect kicks in. When you are looking in the direction of where the ship is moving towards, the area around it is the richest blue you would ever see, and if you look close enough you can see the high pitched waves moving incredibly fast, but hypnotic, like watching static on a television but it being void of sound. When looking at where the ship was, the area is a rich, mellow red, its waves slower and more of a steady throb of textures, like watching lavafall. If looking outside from the side of the ship, you see long, white streaks, like billions of strings surrounding the ship. Raymond enjoyed the views of Warp Drive, even after seeing it for so many years. Depending on his mood he would just stare at the view from the front, back or side of the ship, watching the chaos of logic and physics. It was funny how Chaos could be found in even the most orderly and constant things in the universe.

For the first time in three days he didn't feel paranoid. He leaned back in the Captain's chair, a faint smile on his face as he put his hands on his face, but wincing when his fingers touched the nasty bruise on his forehead... But it wasn't time to relax. Not yet. Raymond climbed out of the chair, making his way towards the hallway. "Doctor, what's the current situation on Shasoon?" Raymond asked through the comms system, but his tone wasn't one of authority. He wasn't demanding an answer, there was sincereness in it. A friend asking a friend.

He didn't dare go into the medical bay though while Rae was operating. He would only cause trouble, and he would absolutely have more injuries than just a busted head and almost bit off finger. His destination was the airlock where their new prisoner was. He had a lot of questions for the mysterious stranger. And Raymond Chase was NOT the man to threaten.

"His species has two to three hearts most of the time, yes, but a heartbeat is a heartbeat none the less. I, myself, have two hearts after all so it is not uncommon among other species. As long as one of his hearts are going there is a better chance than none though I plan to keep all of them going if I can help it." she answered, knowing that the other probably had not liked the order but there was nothing else to be done."I am sure you will figure out where the monitor should go."

She had to say that she was impressed that Tymea had admitted to where she was lacking but promising to give the antidote another try. Rae had to admire this humans vote of confidence on helping revive and heal their comrade but in her mind the situation was still very leery. They were on a time and the clock was ticking down, since the poison was only slowed which meant it needed to be neutralized before it reached the hearts. "We don't really have a choice do we..." she replied to the other woman as she spoke about how they got this. Humans and their weird sayings would forever confuse her.

It was about that time that their Captain had decided to use the communicator to speak with her about the condition of how Shasoon was. The tone wasn't that of an order and certainly didn't have as much snaps and hiss in it as the other crew members had had today which was obviously do mostly to the lack of sleep. Either way it soothed her frazzled nerves a bit to not have orders thrown in her direction when she was in such a state. "His hearts are more stable than we first found him and his temperature seems to be coming back to normal but unfortunately the antidote is not coming along as easily as I had first intended. Tymea is trying her best and I am playing balancing act at the moment between doctor and scientist. I will keep you update on new developments here..." Rae answered truthfully, pausing for a moment as if thinking on wither or not her opinion or statement would matter before continuing.
"Please, go easy on our newest passenger. I know that they are not to be completely trusted but they did take out some of our enemies and though they punched a hole in the ship to hold on to it, they have not used that weapon to cut open the airlock when it probably could be done simply. I am sure the passenger has not enjoyed what I am positive is multiple questions and possible threats depending on who is down there, yet they have not done anything. That says to me that they at least have honor of some kind or at least a patience that might hold out long enough to make negotiations with less violence than locking them up somewhere till next port. I will stand by your decision but I believe this person deserves a chance. We can have watch over the person if need be. Be safe Raymond."

At the moment, every thought in Tymea's head was dedicated to the application of medicine to this specific alien species. She wasn't too aware of the effects of the antidote on the blood of Shasoon as this never came up in any of her medical exams as they focused on the anatomy of humans as opposed to any of the alien species. "Hmmm. . . I'm not too sure about this . . . But. . . OH! Thi-- no, no, no." At this point it was a race to find what would work. "Ugh, if only this idiot didn't get himself bit." She muttered to herself.

She contemplated just slapping the poor guy a few times to get him to wake up. In fact, she probably would if she didn't know what it might do to his fragile condition. "Couldn't we just wake him with some sort of stimulant? I know I like my coffee to help me stay awake. Anything powerful enough to do that for him? I mean, I liked the idea of slapping him awake, but stimulints seem to be the better idea for that." The whole idea was half a joke, but at the same time a little serious. "If we did that you could do that weird, magical energy transfer thingamabob." Not like she understood that half of it. . . But it was what it was. "Otherwise, we could. . . Ehh, I'm not too sure right now. Pump him full of some blood or something and cycle it out? Not that I have a stash of blood on every crew member or anything, just an idea."
