To answer your question, your options will be from a number of attempts you can make to intercept S.C.A.R.'s plans for the government. An example of which is varied tactics of espionage. You can be a part of S.C.A.R. at the early stages of the RP and then commence betrayal, revealing that you are working as a spy for the government or any groups siding with them with a single purpose of putting down S.C.A.R. once and for all. Yes, S.C.A.R. is basically the villains but in the RP's point of view, the real antagonists are the government. So, if you side with them, you're basically playing with the bad guys. XD

Also, players can break away from S.C.A.R. but deciding to do so will need further discussions with me first. Lastly, it's not really necessary to be a member of S.C.A.R. but I highly recommend that you become one since the RP is entirely represented by S.C.A.R. and its members. You can play on the opposing side if you want, though there are only a maximum of 3 slots I can assign for that particular role.

I'm interested but I don't necessarily want to play as a superhuman. You hinted about the idea of being a spy inside S.C.A.R. working for the government, is it possible that you could have one of these "spies" be a regular human limited to physical combat and wit without the aid of supernatural abilities? Perhaps they'd have him/her onboard to help with intelligence or strategy?

Be a triple agent if you know what I mean. Posing as a double agent to get inside S.C.A.R. but secretly still loyal to the other side?

You also mentioned this world being somewhat cannon to MARVEL. If I don't know the lore of MARVEL's characters all too well will I be fine?

(who also isn't a Superhuman) Perhaps at the start of the RP, you can state that your character is already working for S.C.A.R. but then again, it will depend on you.

And not knowing too much of the Marvel characters is perfectly fine as the RP is just an inspiration from its universe. Key elements include the concept of Superhumans but I know we're all familiar with that. ^^
