DETAIL: Micawber is the subject of much rumor and speculation among the citizens of Pallhallow. Micawber is the only person to freely pass in and out of Toadmere Rookery, and is the only individual known to have personally seen or spoken to Lord Fowle. Micawber is known for their curious choice of fashion (which greatly varies from moth-eaten military uniforms to respectable fine dresses, always seen with a hat of some kind) and for the highly confident and admirable manner in which they conduct themselves in every regard.

ABSTRACT: Sole Heiress to the Fortune of the Noble House of Pax

DETAIL: Sophia is the sole remaining heir to the once mighty house of Pax. Devastated by wars and a series of unfortunate accidents her line has dwindled to almost unimportance. The only claim to Power the family has left is its enormous wealth. Sophia is an only child to survive into adulthood and is thus expected to carry on the family line. Which of course means marrying off to another noble house. While there has been many suiters over the years she has turned down all takers. She might not be interested in love, but she would rather not give her fortune to someone who wants it because they are greedy.

DETAIL: Jack is not really a gentleman. He is not a lord in anyway. He was born in Pallhallow to a rather wealthy merchant. Jack spent most of his life reading about rare objects and treasures. He left as soon as he could and managed to get into university for Archaeology.He excelled at everything in his career. He had always wanted to explore the world and he did just that. He went into the jungles and fought tribesmen with his wit and his pistol. He lost his eye during a fight in Egypt. He returned to his family's home to heal since he just got it replaced. Jack is full of charm but he is willing to start fighting when he has to. Expect him to hit on just about anyone.

Harvey has lived alone all this time, but occasionally a young curious woman will visit his home to find out about the man behind the mystery. However solitary he might, Harvey has offered his assistance on more than one occasion to the Police Department as a forensics analysts, helping solve a few cases. But he always returns home to work on unknown experiments that does only God knows what.

NAME: Jacob Maxson

ABSTRACT: The cop that was thrown away

DETAIL: Jacob was a cop, a shield to be used against degenerate criminals and psychopaths. A perfect poster boy who stood for the people and their protection. However it was his morals that ultimately proved his undoing. Jacob dug too deep and became a liability, the poster boy had to disappear. So strings were pulled and a plot was unfurled, leaving two men dead and all fingers pointed towards the late Officer Maxson. Stripped of his badge and thrown to the gutter, Jacob has been forced to become the enforcer of loan shark Maxwell Sharp. His betrayal has rocked his morals and loosened his foundations, but deep down is the cop who was thrown away.

NAME: Lionel Ackerman

ABSTRACT: A young farmer in a brave new world.

DETAIL: Lionel was the oldest surviving of 4 children. Born in relative poverty, much of Lionel's life was dedicated to his family's farm. With the advent of steam machines, much of the work revolving around agriculture was made simpler, and the time to do it was cut nearly in half, and many people took advantage of the slowly declining power of the aristocracy to move to more urban centers to seek their fortunes. Lionel's father, however, made the decision to stay, and with the agricultural reforms recently passed in parliament, the Ackerman family often found the government to be the primary buyer of their goods, as opposed to the local buyers. With the death of his father, the property passed to Lionel, since none of his older siblings had any children before they passed away. An ambitious person, he has hopes to run for governor of Pallhallowshire county, and hopes to one day represent the county in the House of Commons. An industrious and devout person, he is uninterested in love and romance, and has promised the farm property to his younger sister and her children, since Lionel has no interest in siring any of his own.

NAME: Luca Warren

ABSTRACT: The Silver-Tongued Rogue

DETAIL: A vagrant by nature and thief by trade, Luca prefers to leave his past where it belongs. His focus is continually on the present, and typically on where his next bite to eat is coming from. Though good enough at larceny to easily live well, he prefers that his crime does not draw attention. Often he can be found 'begging' in the streets of Pallhallow, liberating rude men of their coin and letting most, especially those who give freely, pass with but a nod and sad smile. Like any human, he makes mistakes, and is sometimes accosted by the law or angry citizens. In these situations Luca relies on his wit and words to get him out of danger, and is quite proud that he succeeds more often than not.

NAME: Max Fuchs aka "The Amazing Maximillian"

ABSTRACT: The Magician ; Illusionist, Mentalist and Escapist

DETAIL: Max was orphaned at a young age and learned the trade of illusion from an old-world master. After his mentor passed away, Max continued the legacy of illusion and trickery. After many years in the far-east, Max added Escapism and Spiritual Communing to his repertoire and became famous in his homeland. Political upheaval, and the eventual overthrow of the monarchy forced him to flee his country. He has traveled all over the world, performing his illusions and death-defying escapes, including his infamous 'bullet catch' and 'buried alive'. Max has rented a cottage in Pallhallow to research and perfect his masterpiece-an illusion he simply calls, "The Greatest" and hopes to return to his homeland one day.

NAME: Jael Maria

ABSTRACT: An assassin hired anonymously to kill one Lord Roderick Fowle.

DETAIL: In her mid-thirties, Jael has been doing her job for close to half a decade. Working for a well known Assassin's guild spoken of only in whispers. Her failed jobs can be counted on a single hand, but she is not the best by far. Not that she is one to complain, a famous assassin is a dead assassin.
Jael is always one for the job. Her will to see a mission through started out as a necessity for money, but soon turned into part of who she was. Someone who never leaves things unfinished. At the same time, Jael struggles with attachment. A few times becoming something akin to friends with the target or those close to them. A quality she has tried to squash many times, which has caused her a few drunk nights at bars.
The Guild had sent Jael to Pallhallow. She was to kill Lord Roderick Fowle of the Toadmere Rookery, with the requirement that it be very quiet. She's been renting a room at an inn for the last two months. Watching. She thought she would have to interrogate the manservant. But no, instead she received a letter.

Though extremely cautious, she knew she would never get another chance like this. So armed with every means of death she had, she set out.

NAME: Lau Feng

ABSTRACT: Son of infamous opium gangster 'The White Snake'

DETAIL:
Feng is a name to be feared all across East-London; operating the largest opium operation this side of the channel; the family leader White Snake is known for both his strict code of honour and his mercilessness to any who dares cross him. But his son is another matter entirely.

Spoilt and petulant, Lau grew up with everyone he knew afraid of him by association with his father. The White Snake had an uncharacteristic soft spot for his lazy son whom he forgave and indulged at every turn. Lau soon enough turned to alcohol and later opium, quickly spiralling ever downwards until even his father finally took notice. Packing Lau off with a few retainers he was sent off to the country, banished until he could show some signs of maturing. Word from one of his informants in London told him that his uncle is trying to muscle in as heir to the Feng operation, Lau has resolved to impress his father sooner rather than later...then he received a letter.
