Mind if I run two characters? (Don't remember if that's a thing here, having not been here for probably over two years)

I'm figuring on either fire bender and air bender siblings, or a metal bender, I've already got the siblings made up from a rp,on another site (though alas that rp never actually got off the ground).

@pyrak HM well you're more than welcome to have at least one. We haven't talked about it much yet but since I kind of already gave my co-GM the okay to have two characters I guess I can't see anything wrong with letting players do it. My only concern is the possibility that I might be putting too much power into the hands of one player.

Valid point, especially considering the siblings are both over powered in the sense that the sister is a powerful fire bender with combustion bending (yay mind artillery) even if she won't be using it unless it's a actual long range thing, and the brother uses chi-blocking mixed with his air bending, however those attributes would also likely make them ideal people to be hired by the White Lotus.

Also I'm curious, what happens with spirit vine energy? Since you can clearly make it into a weapon I don't imagine everybody sitting by and letting it be rather than attaching their own variants to warships and airships, and if it turns into the Avatar equivalent of nuclear (Varik?) power than what's it powering by this point?

@pyrak Well, I've been thinking about having the Avatar world be at the early stages nuclear-equivalent technology and the advancement of spirit vines as an energy source would fit in with that pretty well. I don't know if anyone will have developed weapons of mass destruction yet, but there will definitely be some stuff powered with spirit energy.

Well they already know it can be weaponised, and once Varik figures out how to use it to create electrical power, he's going to want to power everything with it more likely than not. Since it's been some time since Korra's death, that means Varrik industries would have had plenty of time (and a good head start already with Julie and Varrik) to develop the technology since the Kuvera incident.

Bending ability if any: Fire, lightning, chi sense, & combustion (however she won't use it until last resort genuinely since Combustion Bending has a bad history, and she doesn't want to be affiliated with those poeple).

Birthplace: Fire Nation

Appearance: Average in height, as well as very fit, she keeps her hair short enough she doesn't have to deal with it very much, and she's got grey eyes. She typically wears lots of red and black fire nation clothes, and always wears a bandana (she doesn't like it when people ask questions about her third eye).

Age: 23

Backstory (Optional): She's the daughter of a Fire Nation noble, most of the younger end of her life she spent at her family's mansion. Once old enough she was sent to the Girls Academy to be formally trained by tutors, however she was a trouble maker, fast learner, and very powerful, and the tutors managed to kick her out slightly prematurely (however she had learned just about everything they could teach her anyways). After a short time of decision making she was sent to the Bhanti tribe island where she stayed with her brother for a while, during her visit she learned how to use firebending to sense energy paths. After staying on the island for a while, she and her brother decided to explore the world. After going through fire nation, and getting more used to advanced technology again, they set for Republic City.

Appearance: Much like his sister, however he's got slightly longer hair hers (despite being an air bender) as well as having side burns and a beard in the 'scruffy' stage. He's also half a head shorter than her with darker grey eyes.

Age: 19

Backstory (Optional): Son of a noble, his father had become an air benderduring the Harmonic Convergence, but didn't join the airbender nomads, but rather stayed with his wife, and for the most part didn't develop his abilities. During his younger years he was taught how to use chi blocking by his father (who actually used his air bending to assist his speed instinctively) Haruto had the choice to join the air nomads but decided that he wasn't sure yet. He was sent to the Bhanti tribe who had a few fire nation air benders amongst them where he learned most of his air bending and grew well practiced in spirit projection. He kept his chi blocking skills up while working on his air bending, and a while after his sister arrived decided that the two of them should explore the world.

@pyrak In the case of your second character, I think it would make a lot more sense for it to be his grandfather who gained airbending than his father. Other than that, as long as I can trust you to give your characters their own minds and not blatantly use them as a single character, they're in.
