Do you mean Yuma? Yuya was Arc-V. Well, Yuma early stage was kind of dull but as the anime move into its more darker stage his character gradually improved.

Nah. Yuma's character didn't evolve at all. The few times he had angst he got over it pretty quickly and went back to being Yuma.

ZeXal's meat is in it's (glorious) duels and the pretty cool supporting cast.

I was never a real fan of Yuma. Prefer Yugi, Jaden and Yusei. Yusei never had a Yami from what I remember so he was a bit different but his character was pretty cool. His rivalry with Jack Atlas was epic. I do like Yuya but the one from the manga is kind of like Yugo which I slightly dislike about him.

No problem glad I thought of it. I'm thinking about adding in a cousin for the Carson duo who doesn't duel but does musicals and her motif will force Ben's Team Awesome and Andre into quite the show. Though forcing Ben to make an ass out of himself on stage isn't too hard. He'd probably volunteer.
