Venwyn Ael

It was early in the morning. Around an hour and a half prior to the announcement. The halls were empty and quiet, aside from the sloshing and splashing sounds made by the mop being used by that one special janitor who had to clean the halls in the early hours of the morning. The lights in the dorm hallways were off at this point in time. The academy would turn them off past 12:00pm - or just dim them - as a way of deterring students from wandering around at night sometimes. Despite that, it was still possible to see down the hallway... for a few meters; everything else was just complete darkness. The only person who was in the hallways at the time was Pedro the Hyper Janitor, the Duel Tower's most skilled janitor and third-time victor of the annual Grand Janitor Games.

It was at this point in time there was a thundering sound coming from deep within the Earth hallway. The slight rumbling of which caused some of the water in Pedro's Hyper Bucket to spill slightly. It was the sound of footsteps. Loud footsteps. The noise grew much louder, Pedro sighed, as though he knew what was about to happen.

"GET BACK HERE!" Shouted a deep, aggressive voice.

From the darkness darted a student, darting past the Hyper Janitor and coming close to knocking his supplies over. It was Venwyn. The boy didn't stop to apologize to Pedro; he didn't even acknowledge him at the time, speeding through the first half of darkness and into the next, but it wasn't him who was making the noise: Venwyn was quiet in his movements. A few seconds after Venwyn's departure marked the arrival of the thunderous figure who was causing all the noise.

"I SAID 'GET BACK HERE'!" The voice shouted again. A large figure - easily passing 6 feet tall - burst through the darkness in pursuit of the ninja, barrelling past Pedro's equipment and knocking them over. At least the bucket was fine.

The large figure was none other than Acen Honj; the long-standing burly and athletic teacher who did... everything and anything. Teaching, counselling, hall monitoring and announcing were in this man's repertoire - and those were only the "normal" jobs, ignoring the smaller odd jobs that he did for the academy. His overall aggressive and threatening nature in addition to his inability to speak in any volumes other than loud and very-loud led him to be known as "Transformer," because the students felt that he could "transform" your limbs into broken ones. Despite his reputation among the students, he wasn't really well known amongst the first years quite yet, but the rumours about him had definitely been circulating well since the first day.

Currently, Transformer was chasing Venwyn with what appeared to be... the school uniform? It was true. Acen was holding the uniform in its entirety with a coat hanger; the Light uniform, to be precise. They had been going at this for around an hour now, running around the hallways of the various dorms and floors.

"DAMN IT KID, WEAR YOUR UNIFORM!" Transformer yelled as he stampeded after Venwyn.

"You'll have to catch me first, boob!" Venwyn retorted. He was still wearing his regular clothes - the uniform of the Ael Clan. Venwyn disliked the Light uniform. Needless to say, it was a combination of how it looked, and his own prideful nature. Well, that, and the fact that he had like, 30 copies of the same Ael Clan uniform and he didn't want them to go to waste.

The chase continued into the hallway of the Wind dorm. Melchior's announcement had sounded off at this point, and students were beginning to wake up and make their way toward the cafeteria. The loudness of the announcement didn't seem to faze either of the two. They hurdled over and weaved through the students as they emerged from their rooms.

"YOU CAN'T KEEP THIS CRAP UP FOREVER!" Transformer bellowed. This was probably the first time he had encountered someone with such endurance - normally he'd have caught them by now.

"YesIcanyouboob." Venwyn said unnecessarily quickly, increasing his speed and gradually edging toward the wall of the hallway until he was... running on it? He can do that? Seriously? It seemed sort of anime-like, fictional: almost as if this were simply a passage of text on a roleplaying forum. In fact, one might say that a very similar situation has happened before. Perhaps in an alternate timeline long past? Perhaps the ninja was even in a different dorm back then, too. He continued to run across the wall through the final lengths of the Wind hallway, with the burly teacher not too far behind.

The chase had managed to progress into the Light hallways. Venwyn was back on the ground again as normal, but still running away from his pursuer. Kind of like one of those gazelles running away from a lion or something. In the same vein though, the lion would win. Transformer had kept pace with Venwyn, reaching out to grab him by his scarf, but as he grabbed it there was Venwyn's signature puff of smoke. It didn't daunt Transformer, and he continued to reach into the smoke to catch Venwyn, grabbing and pulling out a... log? The dust had settled, and Venwyn was gone.

In Venwyn's place was a large pile of logs though. At least seven logs.

Why seven logs? I don't know.

Venwyn reappeared in the cafeteria, although he wasn't the first one to arrive this time. His arrival was, however, accompanied by a series of tremors through the school caused by the enraged stomping of Transformer. Perhaps he should have vanished during the chase sooner; most of the tables had been filled already. Venwyn requested his food, and simply ate it while standing up. It was probably a good idea to do so: if Transformer managed to find him, he'd be able to run away rather quickly.

Everyone present at the cafeteria seemed to be enjoying their breakfast at varying degrees, but it didn't seem to be exceedingly terrible at least. There was even a short duel that broke out over a missing shoe of all things, which was great to start off the first day with, but the two initiating it soon got pulled out of it by their friends and class mates soon after it began. Some still had the ringing of their little wake-up call in their ears, while others looked positively terrified of what seemed to be earthquakes or what have you rummaging around the tower after Venwyn had decided to show up. Ethel was sitting at one of the tables built into the wall, sitting on the last seat as she was silently chewing down on a very minimal breakfast, consisting of a single slice of break with a few veggies on it as well as a cup of tea. The tea was also terrible. She got some glances of boys who found a particular interest in what she was wearing, the same rabbit hoodie from yesterday with her dorm's jacket bound across her waist. You didn't seriously expect her to wear that ugly thing, right?

Haas on the other hand was chatting it up with some other Earth students, having chewed down on what seemed to be five whole sandwiches, complete with at least four glasses of whatever beverage he decided to take. His hair was a mess and still wet from the cold shower he took, the boy being one of the last to do so. His uniform suited him more than most others, the color of it complementing his hair and eyes quite neatly. Through the speakers in the ceiling rang an announcement: "Attention, classes will begin in 10 minutes. Please go to the classroom that corresponds with the lesson roster you have recieved on your Duel Trancievers. Thank you." As some students looked down, most of them would indeed see class names and locations lit up on the tiny screen. Most 1st years groaned after seeing what they had as a first lesson, most getting Biology, Math or something else they'd rather not.

Some students of particular note, namely the ones that stood out the most out of all of them, had received instructions to go to classroom 13, to study up on Fusion Summoning. They'd have to make their way to the 42nd floor, where it is located... Ethel got up without much complaint, sneaking through the crowds like some sort of slippery snake. Somehow, in a miraculous fashion, she secured an elevator all to herself to go up to the floor she needed. A black handbag was thrown over Ethel's shoulder, keeping the material she needed as well as her Duel Disk and Deck in there. Haas got up with an "Alright, Let's do this!" and flung the rather gaudy red backpack over his shoulders, dashing up the staircase about 38 floors. How? Only he knows.

Those who would arrive in the Fusion Summoning classroom would notice two things: 1, the Elevator and staircases actually led to a single door instead of straight into the room like normal. 2, the actual inside of it was painted in a purple similar to the actual Fusion Monsters themselves, alongside the blues and oranges of the Polymerization Spell Card. The classroom had a podium in the front of it with a GIGANTIC screen, and two sets of benches that were built into the wall. Due to the circular nature of the tower, they were curved smoothly alongside the wall, covering about a fifth of the room each. There was a gap in between them though, which prevented them from taking up the entire half length. This was to make room for a small arena in the middle, presumably to put into practice what the students had learned, with white lines painted across the floor resembling a field. It wasn't large enough for a tag duel, but it was for a simple 1x1. Neither Ethel nor Haas arrived first, but those who did would see a woman being slumped down in her chair, seemingly asleep. She had fiery red hair similar to Megan's, though it was oddly shaped. A few strands escaped towards the front of her forehead, but the rest of it was held in place at a 45° angle in an upside-down V-shape. Her garb was similar to the male students' uniforms, though colored purple and a little modified to suit the female body. The woman had a pretty neutral pair of gray shoes covering her feet, legs crossed.

This was obviously the teacher. And she was asleep.

Angelo heard the announcement to go to their classes in 10 minutes. Angelo was already finished eating his toast and orange juice it wasn't much but it would get him through the day. Angelo did see Ethel's hoodie and he thought it was actually cute on her so he soon got up with a smile on his face and went to the elevator not making the same mistake he did when he first showed up by using the stairs. When the elevator door opened up into their classroom Angelo thought it was nicely decorated to fit the theme since it was fusion summoning. Angelo had heard about it before and knew that in order to do it he needed the specific cards themselves other then that he wasn't much into it. Synchro was where he was aiming not fusion so he really didn't need to study up on it back home. Angelo soon found Ethel in the room and smiled at her I like your hoodie Ethel. Also good morning to you I hope we both can enjoy the day Angelo said thinking that since she and someone else were the only others in the room Angelo could have some time to try and get to know her a little more other then she's quiet and good duelist. She is in the light dorm while he was in wind obviously it meant that they wouldn't see eachother often so Angelo needed to take this chance...

Akira had just finished eating when the announcement was made. Jumping up and brushing his brown hair from his face he sped off to the class. Upon reaching the room he stared at the walls and chuckled aloud.

"Man I may not use fusions but at least the paint job looks good." he said looking around and finding an empty seat just out of the way of Angelo whom he had met the day before and was currently talking to a girl from his dorm. Looking around at the others who were walking in he noticed many of them had notable duels in the placement exams and grinned. This must be a class for the elite of each dorm or something. he thought to himself gleefully. He turned and noticed the sleeping teacher and chuckled again at the sheer sight of it though there was something familiar about her he couldn't place where he may have seen the woman before, brushing the thought out of his mind he continued looking around the room while studying his deck and duel disk.

Hayato noticed Tsukiko's frustation punch and seemed impressed by the force she brought forth "Let me guess the showers being one room with one shower is getting to you" Hayate said to Tsukiko "see it as the bathroom in your home, you wait for your turn while people shower and if anyone would do anything suspicious like placing camera's in the showers i'm sure those people will be send to the dark dorms right away. if they aren't this academy will have a serious problem with Hayato Ray" Hayato said with frustration as he remembered that cold shower even though what he was talking about wasn't about his own shower
Hayato inspected the cards after Tsukiko had pulled them out as he was inspecting them a vague memory came back to him and looked at the cards again stating what he had remembered "These cards... my fa- i mean mentor had told me little about these, he said nobody should attempt to use these or else things will go horribly wrong" Hayato shrugged in disbelieve stating he doesn't believe a word of what his mentor said back then "class should start soon so... we should go..." Hayato simply walked into the classroom

Hayate made her way to the classroom she was supposed to be according to the student she encountered but sadly her sense of direction was making it harder than it really was, after a short hunt for a elevator she arrived at a nice looking room giggling at the thought of making a polymerization paper-craft herself and noticed the teacher was already asleep and thought to herself as she was one of the last people to arrive to the scene "if the teacher is sleeping that means im not late right? she still didn't realize she forgot to fix her hair even though it is a slight change some people had a hard time recognizing her but really it could have just been that nobody knew her yet.

Vincent Gulfus

Vincent never got food that night. He felt too tired to get anything and without cause to continue he ended up giving up his arduous quest to get food instead going for a shower. A man without the cause to live is a man without food. But Vincent lived and would keep living for something he would never admit... but he will observe. Take from that in his mind what you will. Due to this he settled down for a good nights sleep. Vincent lay in his bed staring upwards towards the ceiling of his Dorm. He had to get to sleep, tomorrow would be the day he actually started this journey for real. Vincent's eyes began to close. His conscious drifting to what ever void from which it was forged. never the less Vincent began to dream...

The next day

Vincent woke up with a start, he felt rested but he was awake before pretty much everyone else. He couldn't remember what he had dreamed about, which troubled him slightly . All he knew was that he might as well get going. Standing up from his bed which was still shadowed in darkness. He fumbled for a light-switch. Finding it on the wall he turned on the lights. Opening his closet he looked at what he was going to wear for the day but suddenly an invasive voice surprised Vincent.

"EVERYBODY GET UP!!" The voice of Melchior yelled. The sudden noise caused Vincent to drop the shirt he had picked up to put on his bare chest. They still had one and a half hours to burn... even after the rude Wake up call, to get ready for the day. Vincent spent about 10 minutes getting dressed and emerged from his dorm wearing a pair of black trousers a white T-shirt and the unbuttoned dark green shirt of the wind uniform. Sure it wasn't the conventional uniform of the academy but under shirt still had the wind logo on the breast pocket, so Vincent thought it was all right. Neither the less he had to get something to eat or he would collapse for not eating for what seemed like an Eon. Vincent picked up his Light grey rucksack from his larger one. It was smaller then the one he had brought his stuff in... that was a given but it continued his necessary equipment. Vincent packed his duel disk inside of it as well for given measure. Placing his Deck and D-Ciever in their own respective pockets. His attire complete he stepped out into the hallways.

Walking down the hallways Vincent looked at the people he walked past. They just didn't seem interesting enough, sure their was that odd person whom stood out but nobody else was of real importance. He could here a rumour starting about him being perverted yet it was only half true. He was a little perverted yes but he didn't look into the girls dorm rooms last night. No matter rumours didn't really bother him that much. Embarrassing as they are he couldn't stop them so he didn't try. Soon enough Vincent with his rucksack and all, finally reached the cafeteria and was one of the later ones to pull in. Grabbing a large glass of milk fit for a man of his calibre as well as a fitting amount of bread, Vincent sat down to dine by himself as he wondered what lessons he would be having first. Probably something that would bore him. For the next how ever long he was sat down. Vincent ended up consuming 7 glass's of milk and only a few pieces of bread to satisfy his hunger enough. He had sat alone during this whole period. too hungry to talk in the morning to even bother entering fluent conversation with anyone.

Upon the conclusion of his eating, Vincent had perked up in flavour and personality returning back to his upbeat self. then the announcements sounded again and Vincent pulled out his D-Ciever to check what class he was in for... Turns out he was in for Fusion summoning. Seemed like a interesting way to start the day. With a smile on his face, he went for the elevator, he had seemed to grab one that was empty bar a few of the other early birds. Maybe he should of took his time instead of rushing to be early... not to worry. Entering the Fusion classroom. he was astounded by the sheer colouration of the walls. They created a sense of exuberance and excitement that Vincent wished he actually had fusion monsters in his deck to show for it. No matter. Vincent sat down on one of the benches directly beside the door. a few other people where also already in their spread unevenly around the benches. Vincent decided to sit alone but he would soon get company as more students came in. however their was still 5 minutes to go before the lesson began. So Vincent's eyes began to drift which is why he noticed the sleeping teacher. She seemed capable of teaching but the sleeping also made Vincent doubtful she could carry the lesson by herself... or was that just all a ruse to lure the early students into a false sense of security where she will then pounce and kick all the ass.

Vincent didn't know. He just sat back and waited for the lesson to start.

Leander replied, "Yup! Let's go get breakfast! I hear it's goooood." Shinrei closed his eyes ignoring what Leander said. He then decided the only way to rid himself of this person is to head straight into the classroom which he did. "I'm going to class now. Your irrelevance is starting to annoy me." He answered back in a frigid tone as he headed toward the entrance of the classroom.

He didn't say a word to the person as he made his way into the room then found a chair in the very back row where he took a seat laying his belongings on top of the table he sat at. A couple of students noticed the cold appearance of the figure and asked who he was. One of the students replied, "He's Shinrei Ikushirou, but let's forget about that. Let's talk about that fine sister he has instead! I want to ask her out, but I cannot bring myself to do it. That brother of hers is one mean guy I hear."

Shinrei didn't particularly care about what the students said and didn't really even heed any mind toward listening to them talking about his sister. He knew well enough that these group of social butterflies could never interest the eyes of his own sister. He was a bit more concerned about that rumor he had earlier from one of the girls he passed by before he ran into Leander.

"These cards... my fa- I mean mentor had told me little about these, he said nobody should attempt to use these or else things will go horribly wrong," Hayato shrugged in disbelieve stating he doesn't believe a word of what his mentor said back then. Tsukiko noticed hesitance within Hayato and compared it toward her brother when he didn't want to talk about something. The way they doubted someone's words was almost in complete synchronization. When Hayato touched the cards and then her hand she felt something resonate within herself which was a warm feeling. She immediately removed his hand, because the feeling kind of scared her. She didn't really understand what that feeling she felt meant. She would have to reflect on that later since classes were about to start.

"Class should start soon so... we should go..." Hayato simply walked into the classroom. "Right!" Tsukiko agreed as she followed Hayato into the classroom and then noticed her brother sitting in the back row all by himself isolated from everyone else. He then saw Hayato with his sister then closed his eyes for a moment. She wondered what he was thinking when he closed his eyes when she came into the room accompanied by Hayato. She thought to herself earlier right before the announcement came that classes were starting about that strange feeling she felt earlier. What was that? Hayato touched those cards and then my hand and then there was that feeling I could not explain. She looked at her hand then the cards she held in her hand and then shook her head in disbelief. No, it was nothing... I didn't get enough sleep. It was probably just my imagination anyway. She dismissed the thought in her mind as she casually made her way over toward where her brother was and sat right beside him.

"Good morning, brother. Hopefully you slept better than I did." Tsukiko said politely toward her brother who was writing something down, but she didn't quite know what it was. It was like her brother to preoccupy himself into something so that he could always be into something and never have to acknowledge anything around him. It kept his mind at ease it seemed to her.

"Morning, Tsukiko. And..." He paused for a moment realizing he was working on his project for his company when he suddenly fell asleep at his desk. He had that dream again which he had right before Tsukiko was hospitalized. "Not really..." He said with a concerned hint inside his voice. The tone of his voice kind of bellowed at the end giving indication that something was bothering him but he wouldn't say what it was. "It's probably nothing so don't concern yourself with me." He added as he reassured her worry that she shouldn't focus on worrying about him and his problems.

"Hayato." Tsukiko said as she looked over at him. "Would you like to sit next to me?" She requested which caused some of the boys' jaws to drop. Some of them were rather jealous that she chose Hayato from the Earth Dorm to sit by her. Sure she was from the Earth Dorm, but she was probably the prettiest girl in that dorm. You could hear echoes in the background of jealousy of it not being fair he got to sit by her and not any of them. Meanwhile Shinrei's fan club seem to be on the other side of the room talking about him. Tsukiko noticed quite a few of the girls eyeing him down. Her brother paid them no mind since he had no actual interest in any form of relationship.

Somewhere no one had payed attention to...

A very eager young lady was fidgeting in her seat near the front of the bus, eyes shimmering brightly as she squealed fangirlishly inside her own mind, chest rising and falling rapidly with each hyperventilated breath she took. She was really going, FINALLY going to the Duel Tower! It was basically Duel Academy, but EVEN COOLER! "Oh man...I hope I get to do good! So many people...Ahhh~ So many are probably really talented! she said to herself, scanning around, eyes wide and shimmering as she looked over everyone. "Ohmigod, this is going to be AWESOME!

Once they'd gotten off, the girl was quickly reminded that they were in a desert, and her long-sleeved shirt and cap certainly weren't helping. Sweating profusely and looking much less pleased about everything, she fanned herself with her hat as she walked, hoping to whatever God Card was listening that there was air conditioning. Looks like Obelisk was, and so it was cool inside, the girl hurriedly slipping into the first elevator ride up to go claim her structure deck and pack., Fiends & Fables, along with Trishula's Triumph! Hurriedly, she scanned through her pack, somewhat dissapointed that she only got one Fabled card...but at least Naturia Strawberry was cute. Stashing all the Booster-Pack cards in her pocket save for the spare Peggulsus, she claimed her duel-disk which was the folding-type. Best to work with something light and portable, and hey, it kinda reminded her of a giant watch. An unbelievably gaudy and huge watch, but still.

Her duel had actually gone fairly well, with her winning due to Kudabbi being an unstoppable monster while she had no cards in her hand, managing to mow down her opponent's attempts to synchro summon whenever she could, emerging victorious at the end with 1800 Life Points. Smiling in satisfaction, she shook her opponent's hand and saluted them, before skipping off to her dorm, eager to start the day bright and early tomorrow. Noticing the requisition sheet on the desk as she went into her Wind dorm, she smiled and flopped onto her bed, smelling it, and rolling on it for a minute or so. Humming, she patted her pillow, appearing very dissapointed as she said: "Man...this sucks...Oh!" suddenly getting an idea. Smiling lewdly, she clicked her pen and wrote down her three requests:

1: Digital Camera and Film
2: Digital Photo Printer
3: Full-Body Pillow of Jack Atlas-Sama

Smiling and satisfied, Maisy changed into her pajamas and leapt into bed, spooning her minuscule pillow, waiting for it to evolve into a beautiful body pillow. Hopefully soon.

The Next Day...

"EVERYBODY GET UP!!"

Maisy practically screeched like a pterodactyl as the voice projected over the intercom, and, as she listened to the directions, hurriedly got dressed. An hour and a half was like...Oh. "That's pretty manageable actually..." she thought, slowing down and taking her time, putting on her green wind uniform and admiring it in the mirror, fixing her cap and smiling eagerly. "I look cool!" she commented, tying up her red-tie and changing out of her pajama pants, making sure to grab the Transceiver and place it in her pocket. Fixing her duel-disk on her arm, she struck a pose with a confident look on her face. "I am SO ready for this! Action duels, here I come!" she yelled before hearing a bang on the wall opposite to her yelling for her to keep it down. Nodding, she quietly crept out of her room, tip-toeing like she was going through a minefield until she blitzed her way into the elevator. "First, Breakfast."

Ben and Andre both shrugged and quickly ate what was on their plates and quickly rushed towards their class rooms. In Ben's case he more or less scarfed down his food in the brief moment he could before making their way to class. Neither of them particularly were in any hurry since they knew a lot about standard dueling but both knew that they'd need to study. Ben made his way to the fusion summoning room and Andre followed in suit though neither of them went together and they sat on the other sides of the room. Neither of them particularly had any enthusiasm about going to class but both knew they would need to do their best. Andre has noticed a lot of strange individuals in the cafeteria while he had been brooding by himself and he was slightly suspicious of the fact no one had even approached him. He had expected the one random bumpkin to find his or her way to him especially since he looked so different. Not that it was any different to him. Ben on the other hand bid a quick farewell to his compatriots before he had left saying he had no intention of missing class on the first day.

Megan grinned, costly cards but worth it. "Alrighty, here's my call of the haunted, thanks for the trade!" Megan said cheerily then turned to her device which had beeped at her. Eh, it looked like normal schooling was up first before she got to do anything exciting, oh well. "Well, good talk Camryn, we've got to get to class. Hope I see you again." With that Megan took one last bite of her sandwich and was on her way to her first class. She couldn't wait to find out what action dueling was like, hopefully it wasn't to long before that class rolled around.

Leander was still smiling even after Shinrei's quick rejection. After he walked away, however, Leander drooped down, dismayed to see his great plan fail so miserably. Dropping to his knees, Leander wondered how his flawless plan could have possibly failed. What did I do wrong? Was I not friendly enough? Maybe he was too shy to say yes? Leander thought. His eyes widened as he had a relevation. Wait... what if... he doesn't EAT BREAKFAST??? Leander grasped his head with both hands as he leaned back in shock. How could I not see that??? Leander thought.

Then he remembered something. "Hmm, I wonder when class starts," Leander muttered. His mental crisis momentarily forgotten, Leander pulled out his D-ceiver to check the time, and was surprised to find that so much time had passed. Oh no! I'm gonna be late! Leander thought. He looked down, and finally noticed that he was still wearing his pajamas as well. I haven't even changed yet! Worst of all.... I NEVER GOT BREAKFAST!!!! Leander got back up onto his feet and rushed back into his room to change. It took about a couple minutes, but in Leander's mind, even that felt too long. With his brand new and slightly messed up Light uniform on, Leander dashed along the vague path his mind was taking to his next class.

Pulling out his D-ceiver again, Leander looked up which class he was going to have, and was confused as to why it was Fusion Summoning. Wait, I didn't choose this, did I? Leander wondered. Still, if that was what it said on the schedule, then he might as well hurry up. Running at full speed, he skidded to a stop as he reached the class. Entering the classroom, he sat down at a random desk, relieved that he made it on time, and took the time to catch his breath.

"No problem! I'm just happy to help out a fellow student. See ya later, I hope!" Camryn slid the card into her deck, then glanced at her Tranceiver as it beeped at her. "Welp, class time. Let's see what's first... Oh, Fusion Summoning." Camryn shrugged, finished off her toast and coffee, and then headed off to class. "I wonder when we're gonna start Turbo Dueling. Soon, I hope." She thought as she made her way through the crush of people.

Venwyn Ael

Venwyn had already finished his breakfast when the announcement had sounded. On top of that, Transformer hadn't yet found him. Perhaps he'd forget the whole ordeal in a few... years. Maybe. Probably not. Venwyn took a look at his own Duel Transceiver, it was surprisingly easy to navigate through the various functions and pages. The class he was supposed to be going to was a Fusion Summoning one. Needless to say, Fusion Summoning was not one of the summoning types that Venwyn wanted to focus on, since the deck he currently used had no Fusion Summoning cards - nor did he want any. Still, learning about Fusion Summoning could still come to be useful at some point, so Venwyn opted to attend anyway.

He wasn't the first to enter the classroom, but the current students within wouldn't see him enter. He sort of just... appeared in one of the far corner chairs while nobody was looking, this time without his signature puff of smoke that would normally prelude his entry. He sat patiently, awaiting the lesson to begin.

Hayato stepped into the classroom not thinking about the strange event that had occurred when Tsukiko pulled away her hand in surprise, noticing Shinrei closing his eyes when he came in with Tsukiko "is he regretting his request...? Hayato thought to himself before being asked if he wanted to sit next to Tsukiko, before he could answer he noticed stares from a few other students with a few of the students looking at Shinrei as well, "you all can stop harassing these 2, you don't understand how much of a pain it becomes when you got people following you everywhere" Hayato said knowing what it feels like before taking a seat next to Tsukiko almost ready to slam his hand on the desk but stopped his urge to do so and looked at Shinrei "Morning Shinrei" not particularly interested in a conversation himself but he decided to at least be polite

Hayate entered the classroom and noticed a few stares at her confused why people would do so since everyone had seen her during the placement duels and walked towards Hayato and took a seat next to her telling him "I forgot to sleep again..." obviously lying about her nightmare "Hayate did you forget to tie your hair? it's been a while i seen you like this" Hayato said to her sister guessing she didn't bring her hair tie and untied his hair to tie his sister's hair "here... i'll fix it for you" Hayato Tried to fix Hayate's hair but was interrupted by Hayate "Maybe we can go without them for once? Hayate suggested to Hayato who really want to but considering its for one day he put the tie in his pocket, Afterwards Hayate took out the papercrafts she had been working on overnight and wondered if people would notice if she started working on it instead of paying attention to the class since she was sitting all the way in the back

Ethel arrived and only really saw a single person there, a blonde haired boy with Light dorm's jacket on who was panting heavily and slumped in his seat. Through some miracle they were the first to arrive, and she was second... Even though Ethel had gotten the first elevator. This must have been a really fast runner... The room she'd entered was certainly a sight to behold, and the color scheme was befitting of a Fusion monster. And the teacher who was sitting right at the front was also slumped over and fast asleep... Not that the teenage girl particularly cared. If the school hired this person, they must be good at their job to some degree even through their quirks. Ethel decided to seat herself somewhere out the way, a middle row. Not particularly in the back but not the front either, a perfect seat to just blend in. Now, nobody should-

"I like your hoodie Ethel." -bother her. The idea was flung out the window as soon as it arrived, a boy who was all too familiar seating themselves next to the bluenette. Angelo. The one who decided it was apparently his life goal to annoy her to death, this time by commenting on her outfit. "...Thanks." She replied in a dry tone, obviously displeased. She also outright ignored his greeting of good morning as well, being very uninterested and bored with Angelo already. The guy only made it in wind, how could he bring anything of value into a conversation? Ethel took out a small notebook from her handbag alongside a pen, scribbling a few things down. It was really just to keep herself busy and Angelo ignored.

Haas, on the other hand, was one of the later students to arrive, the door flying open when they kind of... Crashed into it. After going at ungodly speeds up a staircase it's a little hard to slow down, which would have resulted in a broken nose had this not been anything other than sheer luck on Haas' part. They were breathing heavily, but surprisingly not covered in a drop of sweat. He made his way over to one of the middle seats as well, though on the other set of benches compared to Ethel. Hayate and Hayato were a little higher up, and Haas spotted Hayato sitting next to Tsukiko. Heeey, were they friends now? That's great! The boy gave them a thumbs up from below, meaning to say 'Good job for being friends!', though to the untrained eye this could come over just as well as 'Good job on scoring a seat next to Tsukiko, Hayato!'

They wouldn't interpret it like that, right? Well, some other boys did. And one of them threw a prop at Haas who, by the way, had no idea what that was for. Poor kid seemed to be too naïve for his own good. At the front of the classroom still seated that teacher, being situated in the land of dreams. Was nobody going to wake her up?

Angelo smiled as everyone started to come in and the teacher was still sleeping. Ethel seemed like she wanted to ignore Angelo completely but to him that was just cute she really was that kind of girl that was shy or just annoyed by other people. A real tsundere, Angelo was going to work on breaking down her walls eventually that much is sure. At this point she was really trying to ignore him by writing away in her notebook she probably was thinking Angelo had nothing to contribute to a conversation and while he was raised out in the country he was by no means an idiot. I didn't get the chance to tell you how well I believed your duel went. Its interesting how you decided to use a blackwing deck where their strength is to swarm the enemy with numbers and overwhelm them while you yourself are reserved to talking to others at all. Angelo said thinking that talking about their decks was as good a topic as any to start with. Angelo then decided that even if she didn't want to talk Angelo wanted to get this class over with since he wasn't really a fusion type of guy. Angelo got a notebook from his bag and then ripped out a piece of paper making it into a paperball and then throwing it at the teacher to see if it will wake her up without him needing to get up from his seat...

"Morning Shinrei." Not particularly interested in a conversation himself but he decided to at least be polite. Shinrei heard Hayato greet him even though he wanted to ignore the greeting as not to get involved his sister was around and it would be a bad influence if he didn't at least acknowledge them. Then again, that Hayato person made him feel different though he didn't quite know how. "Hey." Shinrei said as he turned his cold gaze toward Hayato and with a soft voice trying not to say it in a way as he did toward other people who annoyed him. The way he said the word "hey" nodding slightly afterward was stressed very simply in a tone that he would speak in toward his sister which was less cold than the demeanor he displayed toward others.

Haas caught his attention for a second where he noticed they were staring at his sister for no particular reason. He kind of grumbled at himself knowing that was the same loser in his mind that was confronted by his sister. He was a bit baffled why Tsukiko took interest in such an inexperienced amateur like him? This kid looked like a slacker through and through. There was nothing that gave Shinrei the impression that he was intelligent at all. He said quietly toward himself as he groaned a little, "That kid again... The way he looks at my sister is rather disturbing. Perhaps I should find out what interest he has in my sister?" He ceased talking as he questioned for a moment pondering that thought as he brushed his hand across the photo album that Hayato left him the other day then turned an eye at Hayato. "I could just give it back? Though... Why would he leave me something so insignificant? I can't look at this while I'm in class. It would give people the wrong impression about me. I should wait... He said in his mind as he swept it under one of his books out of sight so no one could see it. The last thing he wanted was someone witnessing him flipping through someone's past as if he cared especially his sister.

"Huh?" Tsukiko questioned for a moment as she saw Haas had entered the room then was apparently staring at her for no apparent reason. She then saw Hayato right beside and then her face turned a little red from embarrassment. She thought to herself as she tried to keep her cool after Haas unusual stares just caused her to blush a little. No, no, no... He's got the wrong idea. I just want Hayato to sit next to me, because my brother has shown another side of himself that he doesn't show to other people. But the way he's staring at me... She had to control herself or it would be obvious toward Haas that his staring was making her very uncomfortable. She knew it had to be because she had made a new friend. That is what she hoped was going on in his mind.

Her eyes were caught by surprise when her brother immediately stood up from his seat and confronted Hayate. He grabbed something out of his bag which he kept a lot of his keepsakes in. One was a simple black ribbon that looked like one Shinrei and Tsukiko's mother wore. This wasn't something he usually did. "Here, it belonged to my mother. You can use it to tie your hair back if you want. Accept it as a token of my thanks for your papercraft." He nodded at her as he handed her the ribbon then took a seat back beside his sister who had Hayato sitting right across from her. Shinrei tried to erase the memories of what that meant toward him when he turned away with a cold look on his face as if it he wanted to relieve himself of the burden of having to carry it around anymore.

"Shinrei..." Tsukiko stuttered as she was overtaken by the surge of surprised from her brother's generous gesture. It wasn't like him to give away something that meant a lot to him. She wanted to stop him from doing so, but he had decided on his own it was fine to part with it. "That's the nicest thing he's ever done for anyone aside from myself. I knew he had a heart inside that cold exterior of his that he calls a shell which shields him from society." Tsukiko added as she stood up and offered to help Hayate use the ribbon to tie her hair with so it was in a ponytail. But if she refused she would just sit back down and say nothing. Hopefully she still accepted the gracious thing her brother did. it wasn't often he gave away mementos especially ones with large definitive meaning behind them.

Mary Ael

Mary had long since eaten her breakfast when the announcement rang throughout the cafeteria, despite eating rather slowly. Her Duel Transceiver quietly chimed, and Mary pulled it out. Apparently, she was supposed to go to a fusion summoning class. Rather basic stuff, but Mary had never actually used a fusion summoning deck. It would be good to brush up on everything there. She got up from her seat, stretched, and walked to where the Duel Transceiver said to go.

Mary managed to beat the rush of students. Only a few were there by the time she got there. Upon reaching the bottom step, she noticed one of the familiar faces close to the corner of the room. Without any warning, she began to dash towards the familiar face. A quick hop allowed her to land on the bench. Well, that's what was supposed to happen. By pure chance, she managed to land on a slightly damaged part of the bench. It didn't help that it was structurally unsupported by the rest of the bench.

When she landed, she didn't stop. She brought a small section of the bleacher with her. She suddenly stopped, hitting another section of structure that helped keep the section of seats up. A loud bang resounded throughout the room due to the breaking. Mary, however, kept quiet. She just turned towards Venwyn. "Yo. What's up, cuz?"

Vincent Gulfus

Vincent whom had been sitting down waiting for the lesson to begin. (even though he wasn't the first to enter. he had been their while more students had flooded in) Eventually it seemed somebody would have to dip their right hand in the fire to wake up the sleeping Fusion teacher.
That idiot would be him. Vincent thought to himself as he lifted himself from his bench making his way down towards the sleeping teacher. Callously thinking that this might not be the best idea he had. If he died he wanted every single person in that room to know that he was a pervert and he regretted nothing. But he rather wouldn't reveal that to the entire classroom. Instead if the sleeping woman showed anger he would run for the hills. Vincent neared ever closer towards the teacher. His brown ordinary eyes doing their standard analyse of the person opposing him. Reaching out a hand filled with hesitation that would make throwing a cursed ring into a fire look easy. Vincent grabbed the Sleeping person by the shoulder and shook gently trying to alert them to the filling classroom. Prayed did he to the gods of Ancient Egypt that he had done the right thing. Pray that he didn't get his head ripped off. Vincent stood their awkwardly watching the teacher as he waited to see if his shaking earned any response.

Leander had closed his eyes and lied down on his desk as he panted heavily, catching his breath from all the sprinting he did. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and looked up, actually examining the class for once. What he noticed first was how so few people had actually arrived. Leander could have sworn he was going to be late, so he pulled out his D-ceiver again, and found out that he misread the time. Admittedly, it was only by a few minutes, but to Leander, that may as well have been an eternity. Leander, shocked to find that he had made such a careless and grave error, slumped onto his desk in despair. Breakfast, noooo.... Leander thought dejectedly.

After a while, Leander opened his eyes again to look around the classroom. There were some more people who had arrived by now. And among those....

Leander spotted Shinrei, along with some other girl. A remarkably pretty one too, tho they did look quite similar as well. Probably siblings. No matter, that just meant more friends for Leander to make. Now, however, was the time to meet up with old ones.

Leander got up onto a chair and started running to Shinrei, stepping onto empty chair after empty chair to make his way over to him. "Heeeeey!" Leander said happily as he neared. Once he was close enough, Leander landed sitting down onto the seat behind Shinrei. "Didn't expect to see you here. You taking Fusion?" Leander greeted Shinrei happily, wearing his practically trademarked goofy smile.
