I was just wondering how everyone would feel about a roleplay idea I have had for some time.
Basically this roleplay would take place in a fantasy world in which most creatures have an affinity for magic and get stronger through training or eating certain foods containing high amounts of magic power. There would be adventurers, dragons, evil warlocks, geniuses creating machines of war, etc...) However unlike most roleplays of this type, you will not be playing as an adventurer. Heck you won't even be playing as a human, dwarf, elf, orc, or anything else of the sort.
Instead players will take on the form of an insect or insect-like creature. The size of your creature will range between a large hornet to a crab. You will also get to choose up to a total of 2 elements of your choice (Things such as sonic(sound) or mental are completely fine.) Whether you're nocturnal or diurnal. What kind of environment you're best suited to. (e.g. wet, dry, hot, cold) and what kind of environments you don't do well in/elements you're weak to.
Each player will also have two extra body parts that are linked to their skills. If any of these body parts are severely injured, the skills linked to them will be unusable until you heal sufficiently. Some skills are linked to your main body instead though, and can be used regardless of how damaged your "special" body parts are. However these are generally a bit weaker in terms of actual power.
Finally the most important feature of this roleplay, is that you will not be allowed to communicate with the other players using words. Instead you will instead be limited to gestures, noises, and actions. Of course you'll still be able to think your own thoughts in the rp, but communication between other players will be limited and you’ll have to figure out just how to get your point across. This also means that hostile enemies will not be able to communicate with each other either (excluding a few cases in which enemies are of the same species, or a few other cases)
Oh, and before I forget you will have a limited inventory that will allow you to hold a couple of items, I'm just not really sure on the quantity yet.
The plot itself is pretty basic. While going about your everyday life you manage to find a magical portal leading you to an entirely different area where you meet more insects. Uncertain of your new environment you team up with your new companions and try to survive and scavenge for food in different environments. That's pretty much it I believe.
If you have any questions or have any constructive criticism on this RP, feel free to say so.
Other than that, is anyone actually interested?
