Well, my character is up. Cree and I went over the character together in private for some things which is why I'm not posting it here first for acceptance.
Alrighty as a quick update Melo is our brand new co-gm, everybody give the melon a round of applause! *claps once*
Also just a reminder to everyone that i'd love to start next weekend, so start submitting yoru characters! So far only Melo and Iris have submitted proper characters in here or PM. (Grim i'm not counting yours until you make that into actual english, you dork.) If your character is not submitted by the time we start (Saturday 16th of January) you'll have to go through PM with me so I could come up with a joinable spot for you! @Melo@Anndgrim@White Iris@FantasyChic@Rekaigan@Kokushi@I Am Player 1@LordK@Exit@babbysama
For everyone else: if you have questions you want to discuss in real time - add me on skype - creep921 or @Melo at melo-melo-mel
Between the two of us someone is always online to answer.
Well, thing is. My pc is going away for repairs tomorrow. So I won't be on skype for an unknown period of time (I estimate 4 days or so)
I'll access the forums mainly from my phone during that time. So I could still respond to PMs. However, for any kind of skype business I recommend adding cree for now.
Personality: Although he is very stubborn and tends to bend the truth as often as not, he has a good heart to his allies, but most enemies will find themselves with their skulls shattering with the impact of his blow or burned with his Nullomancy.
Looks: A large-built man, his arms thick and strong from his history as an ironsmith and a warrior. His hair is greying and he has old scars from battles long forgotten, but he has smile lines on his face and his eyes twinkle with a wisdom.
Affinity: Hethus
Nullomancer: Yes, particularly fond of Oxygen and Fire.
Special ability: Very good at understanding the workings of things.
Background: Born in the small town of Orynvale, he was apprenticed to a Ironsmith for most of his life. His Master, albeit great in his profession, was cruel and after his training, Teno ran away to join the rebellion. After a serious battle, he was severely injured in his leg and he decided to settle down in [insert name of town of the hero here] and now acts as a storyteller, his hammer locked in an old box, but he will be ready for the call.
Other: Likes cheating at cards and gambling. Not necessarily in that order.
@I Am Player 1 Mate, just making sure, but you do realize that this is in advanced roleplay section? 0_o I mean, the groundwork is there alright but... your entire bio put together doesn't have enough written text in it to qualify as a single post. 0_o I've got people planning out entire personal arcs, weaving their plots into the story of the world, actively working with me on creating new races for themselves to fit into the world and what kind of physical/magical advantages/disadvantages they could have. Melo and I spend time discussing whether certain traits would be hereditary from generation to generation for crying out loud. You on the other hand apparently didn't even bother reading the OOC properly to figure out where the hell first steps of the RP are going to take place. o.o Again, I'm all up for helping you to create a decent char and get through the mechanics... but are you sure this is the right level for you? Even half the casual RP's wouldn't accept that char sheet. 0_o
Personality: Arda is a very cool headed person and often looks at things with a very observant eye. She is mostly a quiet soul, but she will speak up when she needs to. More often than not she’s quite cynical and distrusting, often believing that her way of doing things is a better way. She will sometimes take other’s thoughts into consideration if they are rational enough. When it comes to fighting, she’s extremely emotionless and merciless, not giving anyone a second chance. However, she isn’t the type to go looking for fights.
Looks:
Her ears are slightly pointed and her irises are a golden colour. Her skin is rather pale despite living in a Desert climate, however that it just due to her being a minor race of pale skinned Cauhri.
Affinity: Nyxis
Nullomancer: Yes, uses Magnetic, Iron and Electric crystals
Special ability (if any): Arda has exceptional balance, being able to run, jump and climb nearly anything and anywhere that has the tiniest of footholds. This balance comes from her training with Kron and her personal thief activities.
Background: Arda was born in Alros, a sizeable desert city, south of Sayrn. Arda’s childhood was one that people would view as unfortunate and terrible, however Arda doesn’t view it that way. She views it as the best days she’s ever lived. She was born to a prostitute and raised in the poorer district of the city. She survived by either using her mother’s limited money to but meager food or by outright stealing it.
It wasn’t until she was around 10 when she started stealing Null crystals from merchants. She’d almost always do it during festivals and night markets as it was difficult to notice her within the crowds and the darkness. She was mostly successful, more often than not, she’d end up stealing iron and magnetic null crystals as they were the easiest to steal.
One night, she was noticed by a guardsman, who chased her through the alleyways of Alros. Cornered, she wished someone or something would save her, for the man was about to maim or kill her. She shut her eyes, awaiting a killing blow, but it didn’t happen. The iron and magnetic crystals in her hands had lost it’s charge. She slowly opened her eyes, only to see a sharp piece of iron sticking out of the guardsman’s neck.
It wasn't until she was about 19 when she bumped into someone.. strange. They immediately grabbed her and took her into an alleyway. The man identified her as a Nullomancer, which she did not understand. The man merely grinned and took her under his wing, training her in Nullomancy. She had quite an affinity with the Iron and Magnetic crystals already, but she had't embedded them at all since she didn't know what that meant. Thus for the past 9 years she had been using the charges from the crystals she had stolen.
During the 9 years before meeting Kron, she had created quite a name for herself. Soon there was a bounty on her head for a considerable price. However nobody really knew what she looked like. The few who found out would try to hunt her down. But they never lived very long. After a few conflicts and dead bodies, she was nicknamed “The Iron Maiden” as she often left the bodies with multiple stab wounds and lacerations, leaving behind a few iron needles that she never bothered to remove, which became a kind of ‘trade mark’ for her.
Rumors and stories of ‘The Iron Maiden’ began to spread around Alros and further. However they were incredible and over exaggerated when they reached the ears of the City of Sayrn.
Kron had often mentioned Arbos during her training, speaking of him in a very negative attitude, however still described the man's Nullomancy skills as quite formidable, if not ridiculous. Kron had also mentioned his reason for being in Alros, something about a troublemaker claiming that Arbos is no longer ‘King of thieves’. Kron sent her to seek out Arbos for guidance and she promised Kron that she would return to assist him with the troublemaker, once she had confirmed the existence of such an incredible man. The path that Kron had shown her, lead her to the City of Sayrn.
@Rekaigan Eh a few things - i'd say remove the whole "emedded in her hand" part, it'll just confuse people. Not to mention it wouldn't make a lick of difference to her since she wouldn't notice anything different unless she kept it stuck there for a 24 hours. Another thing is - Kron's been in Alros for about 3-4 months, scoping shit out, you make it sound like he trained you from when you were 10 XD ....Kron didn't even know he was a null that long ago. Oh and lastly - while there might be some VERY begrudging sense of admiration between Kron and Arb - he was closer to hating the spectre if anything xD The incident and Kron training you would take 2-3 weeks at most before he'll SEND you to Sayrn himself to train under the spectre. He's neither the smiley nor mushy enough person to keep a pupil longer than necessary for you to survive the trip~~~
P.S. on the plus side that means you got the Iron Maiden nickname before you were trained as a null - so that's a few badassitude points to Arda :D
I was actually wondering why kron was in alris - considering he us supposed to be west if sayrn while alros is southeast. But indeed. Your time with kron would've probably been 2 weeks - 1 month until he sent you to sayrn.
And indeed, the embedding thing doesn't work. Embedding basically goes like this: cut open your skin -> put crystal in -> bandage it -> wait for it to heal (24/48hrs post embed) the iron release you did is fine though.
So yeah, try to alter things so they work around it. The character herself is fine.
@Melo I've been moving the OG's around the map a bit. Especially since through Iris we have generic rebels in the west near the Jaw Pass. I figured to place the "troublemaker among the Eleven" storyline in Alros, in which case it makes sense to send our inexplicably eloquent barbarian to cross the harsh desert with the instructions to let the bodies hit the floor if he deems necessary.

Not a storyline you told me about. But sure. Sounds good and fitting xD
@Melo the gist of it is - An upstart amongst the Eleven is trying to dethrone Arbos as the King of Thieves on the grounds of him being, well, dead. So being the reasonable people that we are... we're gonna push his shit in. Though as usual - it never is that simple. :D
