The sound of
music was muffled as it drifted out of Haven's room through the thick door. Inside, Haven had plugged in her holopad and was playing her favorite songs. Thankfully the temple of Archons provided sufficient electricity. She'd find out the science behind this confusing building someday, but for now, she was grateful. There was a pile of clothes on her bed and scattered across the floor, surprisingly provided by the
absolutely amazing walk-in closet that the room had made for her. It was hidden inside of the second door to the right in her room. The subconscious pick-ups that this room picked up on were perfectly executed. The first door to the room led into a gorgeous
en suite.
Haven sang along to the music and danced in her spot while she hung up clothes in an ordered fashion. All of her clothes were categorized so they were easier to find.
Although in a week the closet would most likely be a disorganized mess. She liked to keep things organized, for the most part.
"You haven't even gotten to the shoes yet, Haven." Corvus said in a slightly sarcastic tone. Haven's ten minutes were almost up. Haven ignored him, continuing to let loose to her music as she put the finishing touches on the clothing section of her closet. She stood back and let out a happy sigh. "Ah! It's perfect. My dream closet in my dream room." She smiled happily, even though in the back of her mind, she wished that she was at home, with her own closet. The room flickered for a moment, but Haven pushed the thought away so that the room wouldn't change. "No. I must stay happy. Right, Corvus?" She turned to look at the shelves full of shoes and nearly fainted. "Oh,
mercy" she breathed, sitting down on the plush, purple seat in the middle of the closet.
Corvus chuckled softly, amused by how she reacted to a shelf full of just shoes.
"I don't think I'll ever understand this part of you, Haven." He said over her small murmurs of joy.
"I'd hate to interrupt your mood, but it is time to go to the meeting. None of the hosts even know your names. You need to get out there and be friendly. The archon hoped that Haven was in a good mood after discovering her luxurious room. Perhaps this was just what she needed to go back to her happy self.
Haven let out a soft sigh and stood, stroking a nearby, gorgeous heel. "I'll be back," she whispered to it before heading out of the closet with a sigh. "I suppose I have been a
little anti-social. Oh well." She plopped down on the carpet at the foot of her bed, pulling her boots back onto her feet. She then stood and went into the bathroom, braiding her hair before curling it into a bun at the back of her head. "Music, off!" She called, happy to hear her holopad respond to her voice and stop the music.
"I don't need to bring anything, do I, Corvus?" She asked as she walked into her room, resting her hands on her hips in contemplation. Corvus nodded.
"Always keep the dagger on you. In case something goes haywire." Haven nodded and pulled the gold dagger from her satchel. She slid it into her boot, careful not to cut herself or the leather. "Alright! I'm ready." With that said, Haven smiled and stepped out of her room, feeling ten times better than how she had been earlier.
Haven hummed softly as she walked out of her room, locking the door behind her with the touch of her thumbprint. When she turned around, she noticed that the hallway had transformed. Now, a comfortable lounge sat outside of her room, surrounded by three other doors than her own door. "Hm. Neat." Without another thought, Haven headed into the main hallway, a slight skip in her step.
"It's time for a meeting. everyone must know what Thanatos is trying to do and what we have to do to stop him," a man's voice sounded from the hallway as Haven stepped into it. She slowly approached the others standing in the hallway, stopping just behind them all as Ian, the voice from before, spoke again.
"I need you all to head to the meeting room now. It's time we learned what is really going on here and the part we all have to play in it." Haven looked Ian over again, noticing his new take on the whole "leading" business.
At least he's comfortable with it, she thought to Corvus, giving Ian a soft smile. She looked around at the others, noticing that they didn't jump at the gun to get to the meeting room. "Well, guys? I'm just as ready to hear this destiny as you are." She said before slipping through the crowd and heading towards Ian. She gave him a friendly smile. "I'm Haven, and Corvus says hello to Lupus. He missed her." She winked at Ian before continuing past him, wanting to get a good seat in the meeting room. She didn't need Ian to lead her there. This place was like a maze, but as long as you focused on the room you wanted, you found it with ease. Corvus sighed softly.
"I didn't tell you that I missed her. I just wanted to say hi." Haven simply giggled a little as she continued towards the meeting room.
I know.
